Some of the most disgusting food I've eaten. I know buffets are historically bad but this took the cake #neveragain #nosquirtsplease

The service was attentive and easygoing, and everything we had was amazing. I had the steak tips, and normally a dish like this isn't cooked to a preferred temperature since you're dealing with random chunks of meat, which can make it tough to get a consistent temp. But they hooked me up and cooked them as rare as they could. They came out tender and delicious . Definitely a nice spot to grab a good meal after spending some time at the casino. 100% will go back here for more.

They were staying at Turtle Creek Casino, and we planned to meet for dinner at Bourbon 72. My wife and I have eaten at Bourbon 72 before, and the food and service have always been excellent. This visit, however, really stood out. My family arrived at the restaurant only about 30 minutes before closing. Kasey, the supervisor, went above and beyond to make sure we were seated and taken care of. Even though they were short-staffed and it was near closing time, Kasey personally seated us, took our drink and food orders, and made us feel genuinely welcome. After the long and difficult trip my family had made, that kindness and extra effort meant more to us than Kasey probably realized. Kasey, you are a big part of the reason we keep coming back to Bourbon 72. It's wonderful to see someone who genuinely cares about the people they serve and takes pride in making sure guests have a great experience. Thank you, Kasey. We truly appreciate everything you did for our family, and we will definitely see you again very soon!

It was really…read morean excellent little getaway with many pros and only a few cons This resort specializes in golf...golf...GOLF (haha) during the summer, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have much to offer in the winter. There is an AMAZING spa (excellent sauna, hot tub, indoor pool, great massages), basketball and tennis courts, arcade, axe throwing, mini bowling, and indoor golf simulators. And if you prefer to just not leave the room, very comfy beds with couch seating at almost 400 sq feet per the most basic room (next time we stay here we will probably stay on the tower side of the resort where the rooms are even a little nicer). What we also loved here was the food. Aerie restaurant might be our new favorite restaurant in Michigan (close toss up with The Chophouse in Grand Rapids). See a separate review of mine for more particulars. There is also amazing room service, Niiji restaurant downstairs next to the lobby (great breakfast menu), and Jacks where you can get a good pizza or cheesy bread with awesome drinks. As for the cons, there are two: 1. A little pricey, and will only increase as we get more "in season." For the extra cost of an airplane ride, we could get a suite in downtown Vegas at the Golden Nugget, Plaza, or a luxury mini suite on Michigan Avenue in Chicago for the same price per night here of a standard room. That doesn't necessarily mean the price is not worth it here. Just be prepared is all. 2. Kids. Ugh. During the week there were not many people staying here, but as the weekend crept up more families arrived. Of course all it takes is one mommy and daddy to get drunk at Jacks downstairs while letting 3 ten year old buffoons run up and down the hall six floors up knocking on doors and running away to peeve folks like my wife and I to really put a damper on things (I don't mind admitting I don't like kids-lol. I have my own children and grandchildren-that's enough for me). The point is... do not confuse this with an adults only sanctuary. That is not what this place is. Just be prepared. Overall the score here is more like a 4.5 vs a true 5, but I'm rounding up as my wife and I were able to create some precious memories. That is bigger and better than any high price or annoying kids. Job very well done by the GTR&S. Looking forward to coming back here next year perhaps for a golf outing. :)

Don't bother wasting your money here. front desk told us they could authorize $50 off and then after speaking to the supervisor they bumped it to $100 stating it's common. I've stayed in traverse many times each summer of every year and have never once seen them where i've stayed. to even state that that was common in the best you can do is 100 bucks is an absolute joke. customer experience was awful and we received zero empathy. No wonder your resort has 2.5 stars.

Buffets kill me because if they're good I just wish I could bring a spare stomach. We started with a variety of fresh sushi, seconds from the other side, egg roll, shrimp in at least 5 or 6 treatments, green beans, chicken, pepper steak, etc. Finished off with various fresh and canned fruit slices including lychees, puddings, cakes. Just the thing to top off the main courses. I give it 4.5 stars due to the lackluster decor. But the wait staff is friendly and not pushy. No silly masks either. People are smiling again. Hooray!!! I forgot to take photos I was so hungry that all I could think about was biting in. Prices are reasonable because you can eat yourself to death here. Totally worth it compared to a lot of what's out there these days.

I always try to explain my review having more stars than perhaps it would in reality, if that makes…read moresense. This is a Chinese buffet. It is an all you can eat buffet. For people who have not had actual primo, well prepared Asian cuisine, I've never seen anyone not enjoy and tell me that they absolutely loved every single dish. This is what it is. It's only $14 for lunch, and if you went to one of the commercial burger places, you would expect that amount on just a regular basket with fries, drink and a burger. Here people get to eat as much as they want. Having explained this, I hope that you understand why I give the stars that I do for this place. It's because they were clean and there was nothing wrong with any of the dishes that I saw or tried . I particularly only like a few. I might like more if the food was hotter temperature wise. I have been to Asian buffets, particularly in Cheboygan and their food was a lot hotter, even though it's in the hot water baths or however, they're heating it. I prefer to have my food served hotter for many reasons. It is more tasty, it kills bacteria and any food problems like that. I'm sure that if they have these heated too high, it also breaks down the vegetables quickly. But I feel that this is a necessary requirement with the buffet food especially. I do love the hibachi style being available. You can add whatever you want, and the hibachi chef will fry it and add whatever sauces you'd like so that's my favorite. That's the main reason I go here, but the reason my sister always insist on returning Here is because "she likes to pig out". I see that many people do. That's what these buffets are. I think in the past like in the 70s they actually used to even put smorgasbord on the sign now everyone knew what that meant. I find that the servers are nice and it's always a very friendly ambience here so that along with the cleanliness and the fact that people look extremely happy that they "got to pig out" I give this place a four.. and really why would I come and eat again and again at a place that I didn't feel was a safe safe or sufficient lunch? I would not.
