Look in the parking lot for the food trucks and a covered area with some tables and chairs. That's it! Food trucks were serving breakfast and lunch fare, we went with one of each: breakfast sandwich had egg, bacon, avocado - YUM. Also had the Grilled cheese with a cheese blend and some kick to it, but not overly hot just the amount of zing to be really good. That brown sugar hot sauce is very flavorful, but watch out - it does drip so get plenty of napkins. Great view, we sat at the counter that overlooks the bay and had a lovely lunch.

They're only available on the weekends after 5PM and we had to wait a month to go. Yelpers were raving about their Ragu dish. Their menu is very limited and by looking at the pictures, that Ragu definitely caught my eye. I'm a meat eater and this plate has chunks of beef so I ordered it. Come to find out, they change the meat and pasta often so the meat they put in Ragu that night was ground beef (like bolognese) and the pasta was the large macaroni type. Very disappointed to say the least. Steak chunks in parpadelle pasta just like what they served prior would have been five stars! My wife's pasta dish was also changed to gnocchi which she didn't care for. We definitely went on a wrong night, but what can you do if your reservation is still a month away? The only thing I enjoyed was the tiramisu. Light and not too sweet. Service was slow although our server was friendly and accommodating. Mamasamas is only available for dinner and maybe because it's cooler at night. The place had fans running throughout and windows open. Not sure if it has air conditioning.

It was quite loud outside but it wasn't when we went inside. Here was our experience: Service- slow and not very attentive. When we arrived, we waited for a few minutes without being acknowledged but the staff definitely saw us. It's a small restaurant and it's hard to miss the people coming in. After receiving our drinks, we were ready to order but our server immediately left us. Usually after serving drinks, they would ask if we are ready to order or if we need more time to check the menu. He did neither. So we were left waiting again. We had to call his attention to order. Food - we ordered the bread (Pane Fresco), it was supposedly baked fresh so I was expecting it to be warm, it was not. They did provide another basket that was warmed. The burrata was good but not great. I enjoyed my husband's Ragu, you can really tell that the pasta was house made, it was cooked Al dente, delicious but small portion for the price. I was disappointed with my order. Arrabbiata is one of my favorite sauces and although it was tasty, I did not particularly like the gnocchi. This is probably the first time I did not finish a dish in a while. The highlight of our dinner was the Tiramisu. It was rich and creamy, I would recommend ordering this. I noticed that the menu changes when I checked Yelp prior to coming here. But the only difference would be the type of meat and pasta they use in the Ragu and Arrabbiata. Overall, not a great experience but would give them another try in the future.

I ordered eight pieces for our table and they were crispy and delicious! A generous size of meat filled egg rolls served piping hot and perfect to start you off...so, so good! Next, I ordered the Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers a la carte and they were nicely marinated and grilled to perfection! Huge chunks of pork with a wonderful meat-to-fat ratio so you do not want to miss ordering this meat on a stick. Lastly, I tried the Filipino Pork Adobo with Steamed Rice and it was fantastic! I'm pretty picky with my Filipino food as I come from a family of amazing Filipino cooks. This Pork Adobo did not disappoint as it was balanced with sweet and savory and they give you plenty of extra sauce to soak up with the rice. Different from what I'm used to, but delicious nonetheless. For my dessert, I opted for smoothies from the Big Island Bowls Food Truck. I shared the Classic Acai Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and strawberries blended with organic almond milk & the Coconut Dream Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and organic shredded coconut blended with organic almond milk. Refreshing and not too sweet! Perfect ending after a rich and savory meal. I want to try the acai bowls next time... Overall, the food truck vendors at this location are hard working and local. I love the variety and the convenience of having this food truck park so close to the beach. There are restrooms for customers and plenty of covered seating for those really sunny Florida days. Amazing experience and fantastic food options. I definitely recommend supporting local and trying out the food trucks that are set up in The Village Garden. Excellent! :)

We ordered the samba plate, which allows you to pick any 3 meats, so we selected picanha (cooked rare), shrimp, and sausage. Unfortunately, the steak ended up being closer to well done by the time we made it back to the house, but I think that's just the cost of taking steak to-go, and not necessarily the fault of the restaurant or chef since it's natural for it to continue cooking inside of the styrofoam box. Temperature aside, the flavor and quality of the meat was great, and you receive a very generous portion for the price. Along with the samba plate, we ordered steak fries and empanadas. Although the steak fries were pretty plain.. basically just steak plopped on top of fries, they were delicious, especially with the creamy herb sauce that is served with them. The empanadas were ginormous, and I like that the dough almost flaky rather than being super thick. We were very pleased with Brazilicious and will definitely hit them up again next time!

It's thick and meaty and not too soft. The pita is of the very thick and soft variety, which is naturally my favorite. The vinaigrette and sour cream sauce mix also works pretty well. It is by far the closest to Filipino flavors. We always order Max's Fried Chicken paired with ketchup, Crispy Pata, Kare-Kare, Pancit, Lumpia, Chicharon Bulaklak and of course, Rice; Calamansi juice for drinks; and Halo-Halo for dessert. They are always very good, savory and very consistent. They have lots of options to choose from. One order is good for sharing hence I like that they offer Group/Package Meals from time to time that it feels like a feast, so we get to taste different items at a reasonable price. They also have 2 event rooms which we have reserved for one of our Christmas parties as they have mic and television which are perfect for either playing music or Karaoke. They also have Party Menu where they can serve in chafing dish, as well as To Go Catering menu. During our 1st time, I recall most of us saying, 'This tastes exactly the same', 'I remember having this with my family/friends after work', 'We used to order Crispy Pata during celebrations or drinking sessions', and a bunch of other stories to share over Max's meal, fit for almost everyone.

It has been a long while since we ate at a Max's...perhaps not since we lived in Hawai'i 8 years ago. In any case, we were looking forward to dining at Max's once again. Upon being seated, we perused the menu. My wife ordered the Max's Budget Meal (fried chicken leg quarter, lumpia and rice for $18) and I ordered the Lechon Kawali ($18) and an order of white rice (3 scoops for $7). The fried chicken was good as expected but I thought the banana ketchup, which is probably house made, didn't seem to have that familiar Jufran or UFC brand banana ketchup taste. The lumpias were OK but once again, we would've preferred a sweet garlic chili sauce to dip it in instead of the house made sauce. The lechon kawali had a nice and crispy skin with tender and flavorful meat but the house made sauce fell short of duplicating the familiar Mang Tomas lechon sauce. Of course we had to top off the meal with an order of Halo Halo to share and that hit the spot...although at $11, it was a bit on the steep side. All in all, we felt the food quality and flavors were good but the house made sauces were a bit off what was familiar. Perhaps we were focusing on nostalgia and memories of past Max's dining experiences, but this visit fell a bit short. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $70.
