I've been coming here for a while and they always do such a great job on my nails. They really pay attention to detail and make sure everything looks good before you leave. I will say it can take a little longer than some places and it's a bit pricier, but in my opinion it's worth it because the quality is consistently good. I've had a few different people do my mani pedi here. The last time I went was the best pedi I had here at this location, I asked for callus treatment every time and the last time, the lady I had did such a great job! If I was to come back I would definitely want her again. But I moved out of Michigan so I won't be returning. I usually come here for reg mani pedi with no color. I just want a cut and clean and callus removal. Callus removal is 5$ extra which is great. But they charge me the same price for mani pedi as someone who wants color. Usually places charge me less when I ask for no color. Which is 50$ for mani/pedi.. even for no color. That's a bit on the pricey side for no color, in my opinion. Also the men here don't do service for men for some reason. And I usually like to have a female do my mani/pedi. It has to be requested. As we are Muslims, so we prefer the same gender to do our mani/pedi. On the phone they told us that the men here don't do men. But when my husband came in with me, I asked them again. And one of the men there agreed to do his mani/pedi. Which we appreciated. read more

Still on the hunt for the best nail salon in Grosse Pointe. My sister made an appointment for us on a Sunday afternoon for a pedicure and manicure. We've been to a few others in the area and were hoping this would be our last stop. We walked in for our appt and got sat quickly - the signs were great so far but ended there. We both chose a deluxe or royal pedicure, can't remember the name but it was $50. It included a leg massage and paraffin wax for extra callus removal. My technician seemed to be new because she was mostly watching the technician that was working on my sister. The massage was under four minutes for both my legs and feet and my sister had the same time for each leg. The technician also didn't apply any pressure to the massage - it was pathetic. When it came time to paint my toenails, she used four coats but that seemed to be the norm there. Nothing I hate more than a thick layer of polish and each layer was so poorly painted so it looks like a fourth layer is hiding the other three ugly layers if you know what I mean. The manicure was done in our pedicure chair. No hand massage and we didn't wash our hands like we would at other salons. We also ONLY did a cut & file - no polish, buffer, or clear polish and it was $20. We were in disbelief and even asked the manager to confirm. I have never left an establishment with no tip but this marked my first. I just couldn't believe an incomplete mani/pedi cost $70. If you head West, that price is for a fill-in and pedicure. Fast forward two days and I have chips on my toenails and my cuticles look awful. Also, the owner states they accept AmEx but this is a lie. read more

I've been searching for a nail place in GP and just can't seem to nail it. I've been here three times because it is convenient and Ive never had to wait, but never been impressed with the service received.This place is fine if you're looking for a very basic and quick pedicure. I got the deluxe pedicure ($40) and woman rushed through the worlds fastest pedicure, uneven nail trimming, skipping pushing and trimming cuticles, not dealing with the areas that will turn into ingrown, and applying 2 of the thickest coats of polish I've ever seen. Massage was less than one minute (might've been less than 30 seconds), and that followed the combination step of scrub and masque, both applied to my legs in a single step at the same time. But, against all odds, the pedicure looks pretty okay. I won't likely be back, it's hard to justify $50 (with tip) for such an underwhelming experience. read more

After 2 days my nails started to crack right before I left for vacation so I couldn't go back and have them fix it. After day 4 they all started to peel and crack. Unfortunately, I cannot make it to appointments with my long time nail tech anymore due to work and construction. I started going out of this area for these reasons and the techs at this salon are examples of the issues. Low skill level. They're all beginners minus one. Lack of understanding of anatomy and pain. Acrylics should never hurt. I didn't know this until I went to someone with skill and consideration. I've come here 3 times, 3 weeks apart and it's gotten worse each time. I'm done with all technicians in this area once again due to these poor experiences. read more

My nail tech pulled cuticle nippers out of his drawer, used them on me without disinfecting, then put them back in the drawer when he was done (again, without disinfecting). I regret not saying anything at the time because this is seriously disturbing. Not disinfecting a tool like this between clients can spread serious illnesses (HIV, hepatitis, bacterial infections, etc.). I would advise going somewhere that uses single-use nail files and properly disinfects metal tools. read more

Got serviced in the beginning of February and I think I got a newbie tech. In less that 6 days I had 4 out of the 10 nails on my hand break. I went back on three separate occasions to get it fixed after the fourth nail broke I was frustrated going back and forth to get it fixed. It already takes a long to get your nails done having to go back three separate times in the span of 6 days is not time effective for those who have to work full time. In addition to asking for coffin shaped they came out almond and when I went back it took the 3rd person to shape them correctly and evenly. Imagine having nine fingers almond and one finger squared after getting it fixed. Not fun especially spending minimum $200 a month for hands and feet. It is probably best to go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's for the fake nails because you will get the guaranteed shape you want and probably will stick on longer than their services. I'm not the type to put reviews out unless it was a terrible experience. read more

NASTY NASTY NASTY. My fault for not going to my normal esthetian but she was closed on Sunday and I had a last-minute event to go to and I had to get my eyebrows waxed. Never have any issues with breakouts EVER. I also know the difference between a rash and fungal acne. Went in as soon as this as soon as opened at 11AM and the woman came in on the phone, did not wash her hands and I didn't see the tools she used and whether or not she cleaned them. She kept touching her phone inbetween waxing and touching my freshly waxed skin, with mo gloves or hand washing. A day goes by and I wake up to my forehead burning and itching because she did not properly clean her hands or tools. I NEVER GET BREAKOUTS. MY SKIN IS ALWAYS CLEAR.
