Having heard how good the food was here, we have tried twice to order take out. Once we went to the restaurant to order take out, where we were greeted by a waitress who was running around crazy saying how busy she was. We looked around and saw two tables occupied in the whole restaurant. The waitress then came over and told us we could NOT order take out it was too busy. We asked how long a take out order would be, and she replied she wasn't taking any more orders. We were puzzled and frustrated so we just left. The next time we tried to order take out from home. We were coming to pick up the order. The lady who answered the phone stated that she was too busy and they were no longer taking orders. We asked if we could just order rice.....again NO. I wonder if the owners know that they have obviously hired some incompetent worker. The time we did see her, she was crazy, running around yelling she was so busy, she had the erratic actions of someone who may have been on some sort of medication. Too bad we didn't actually get to taste the food. That waitress/hostess definitely needs to go. read more

My wife, daughter, and I absolutely love Asian Palace! The service is friendly and very attentive. The time from sit to serve is very short, and the food is excellent. The portions are generous enough to feed you at least twice! I highly recommend the General Gau's Chicken, or the Chicken w/ Broccoli, and you absolutely must have the Peking Ravioli (Dumplings). I have been dying to try this place for quite some time now. I have been told by a few people how good the food is so I decided to stop in on a Friday night. It is a cute little restaurant set back from the road in a shopping plaza. My boyfriend and I took a seat and noticed immediately the waitress was running back and forth through the dinning room. It was extremely off putting, but we started looking through the menus and got ready to order. When the waitress came back to our table, she did not ask but demanded to know what we were ordering. When we asked for something that was actually a lunch item, she practically screamed at us and again demanded we order something else. We ordered and she grabbed the menus from us and took off. Again, very off putting and extremely impolite. Our food was brought to us in a very timely manner, but the check came way to early. The waitress actually brought our last plate of food over with the check! We weren't even given plates to eat off of, just the check. To say that this flabbergasted us is an understatement. The bill came to $22.10, a very reasonable price. I did still tip the waitress, but she will be the reason we do not go back to this establishment again. The food is the only reason I gave the Asian Palace more than one star. The Crab Rangoon's were fantastic and the small appeared to be a large. The egg fo young was also good and made in a style I have never had before. The pork fried rice and spring rolls turned out to be quite delicious as well! The food was overall tasty and the portion sizes were generous. We also enjoyed the tea! If not for the horrific service I would frequent this establishment. Unfortunately, I have had much better service at other Chinese Restaurants in the area and I simply cannot bring myself to return to a restaurant with mediocre service. Got chicken with broccoli and a small hot & sour soup. The chicken was pretty good but I absolutely LOVED the hot & sour soup. We were staying in the Courtyard Marriott not too far from here and every night we stayed in the area, we came to get some more hot & sour soup. Just the soup. It was that good. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of places to eat Chinese in this area but if you're craving Chinese cuisine, definitely consider this place. It's not your average take out place as the interior is very restaurant-like. I work in Raynham so this is my Chinese food fix on a weekly basis. For the lunch you really cannot beat the price and volume of food....easily enough for two meal. This is one of the more consistent place. Mainly probably due to one chef. I have yet to be disappointed. Their boneless ribs are damn good. Complete incompetence in conjunction with not caring about your product or customer. We ordered takeout tonight we live about 2-3 miles away from restaurant. We got food from there a few times years ago and was unimpressed but it wasn't terrible so we figured we'd give it a new chance. I call in the food and they said 30-40 minutes. I call them at 1 hour and I am told he's close by, I express that I am worried about cold food. She says it won't be a problem. 20 minutes later I call and this time she says she will call the driver, (because she was just guessing he was close before.) She calls back 5 minutes later and asks if I still want it. I said yes as long as It's not cold, she promises it will be there in 10 minutes and it will be OK. 20 minutes later I call and she said, we'll it would have been cold and you wouldn't have wanted it, and she hangs up on me. I can't believe that they never called to say they weren't coming and had told me 20 minutes before that it was guaranteed to be there in 10 minutes. Terrible service. Apparantmy, their original idea was that it's ok to take 1 hr 40 minutes to deliver, it's fine to serve cold food that has been in the car for well over an hour, and it's ok to give terrible customer service. read more

If I could give NO STARS, I would. Ordered takeout and it was mediocre at best. The lo mein had the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen and the egg drop soup was much too salty. The person who took our order was incredibly rude, and curt. Afterwards, I could tell they had used MSG as I get a very distinct reaction to it. When we called them to verify, the same man who took our order answered and denied it. When we asked him if he was sure, he said, "You asked and I told you" and then he hung up on us. We called back again to complain about his attitude, and we're hung up on again. I will tell everyone I know of my negative experience. read more

We decided to order takeout from here tonight, I ordered and my husband picked it up. When he got home we realized it was the wrong order. I called back and was told I had to talk to the person that packages the order so I held on the line for her. When I spoke to her she practically yelled at me telling me it was my husbands fault, she read the order back and he said okay. Meanwhile I can hardly understand her and had to ask her what she was saying a few times which made her even more angry. She said ok, there must have been two of the same names, come back for right order. When my husband went back she yelled at him and told him I never called there and she didn't know anything about what he was talking about, I must have called a different place because we never placed the original order and she never talked to me a second time. The other girl up front apologized to my husband and knew that we called. Eventually we got the food we wanted and our payment was adjusted since we were initially overcharged. When we got the food back it was the worst we've ever had from there.. what a let down! I hate to be one of those people that complain, I know that mistakes happen, I worked in the restaurant industry for 9 years. However, after both of us being yelled at, spending about an hour driving back and forth two times and then getting food that was pretty horrible I don't think we will be back any time soon. I am only sharing our experience to warn others. We have had decent food from there in the past so maybe it's just an off night. They get two stars because they picked up the phone and took my order correctly. Other than that I'd steer clear of this one. Not the cleanest looking place. Could of used a new mop because all I could smell was that old dank mop smell. If I wasn't so hungry I would of just kept our 21.75 and went home or to another place. This review is based on numerous bad experiences at this restaurant. Overall the restaurant is poorly managed by the owner. Times quoted for food pickup are always off by at least 10 minutes but often up to 25. They frequently get orders wrong and then blame the customer or that the kitchen staff packed it wrong. In cases where the food has been picked up or delivered they want all food brought back by the customer before they will correct the issue. All the while the rest of your food sits on the counter getting cold while you wait another 20 minutes for the wrong part to be corrected. Considering that the quality of the food is ok at best the frequency of errors makes this restaurant a bad bet. read more

I wish that I can give ZERO star. So I called for delivery at 4th of July's night. I understand that they are busy. They close at 10 P.M. I called at 9:15 P.M. At the beginning, the person who answered my call, her tone was just frustrated. She clearly doesn't want me to order since she kept telling me that everyone is so tired, and the driver doesn't want to deliver anymore and the Chiefs are about to go home Bla Bla Bla. When I complete my order and ask her how much my total is. She started to complain that I'm too annoying because she has to calculate the total since I asked. Isn't this something she supposed to do? This was our first time ordering here as we just moved to the area. The phone conversation started a little rough but the woman that answered quickly passed the phone to a nice gentleman that took my order. We did pay with a credit card and had it delivered. I ordered Cashew Chicken and my friend ordered Chicken and Broccoli. Both of us ordered boneless spareribs as our side. The food was hands down delicious, one meal could easily serve 3 very hungry adults or 4 just hungry people..haha...Delivery time was fast, about 30 minutes. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. That about sums it up. The beef and chicken was super tough. Most of the chicken was covered in some sort of disgusting dough, like a corn dog. The egg rolls contained some sort of red-colored meat, most definitely artificially colored. Nothing came with rice. When I order something like sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken, I expect rice to come with it. Nope. And this food chock full of MSG. Had the shakes like crazy after eating. Best Chinese food in the Raynham / Taunton area. My family and I have been ordering from here since I was a child. The food is always fresh and hot. The portion sizes are large for your money. First impression was the cleanliness needed some help - Between the 7 dirty tables, dirty carpet and staff taking money then picking veggies without washing her hands. Went to dinner friday at the Mitchell Club in Middleboro, Mass just off of Rt. 28 the entire menu was Seafood, and it was excellent, if you enjoy fried clams without the sand you have to experience the Mitchell Club, large room, much like a Cafeteria, with a Bar (alcohol) and Sald Bar, I was told that the menu revolves, some weeks Prime Rib, Steaks etc. the portions are huge and the food cooked to your order, five star taste but no putting on the airs, dress casual in loose fitting pants (chuckle) read more

I've been working with these people for about 6 years now and it's the only Chinese food I will ever eat , everything is 100% fresh and individually cooked . We DO NOT use MSG at all . One of the WORST experiences I have ever had at an restaurant period! I ordered a dinner entree for myself and wife. When I brought the meal home I discovered I received the wrong dinner plate. I called and spoke to the "manager" and she tells me I ordered that plate and there was nothing she could do, i would have to pay for another meal to receive the one I originally ordered. I then proceeded to drive to the restaurant (20 minutes away) to handle this in person. i received the same treatment in person as I did over the phone. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I showed her the wrong entree along with the burnt spare ribs. She took my entree out back to never return. I was then asked to leave. WOW!!! Food is excellent! It's been hard to find fresh, hot Chinese in this area until we found Asian Palace. Everytime we order take out it is piping hot! When we eat in staff has always been more than pleasant and never complaining as mentioned in a prior review. The egg rolls, spring rolls , and boneless spare ribs are to die for. This is easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, and I eat a lot of Chinese food. The chicken lo mein is probably the best item, it is always hot and comes with a ton of chicken and onions compared to other places nearby.
