I was at the Wareham branch on 12/2/2016 and they hadn't had their page up yet. But they have taken over China Gardens in Wareham and they have done so masterfully. This is not a place you want to physically eat at, though I must admit I did, LOL! But the meals were so well prepared the poor decor of the old restaurant really didn't matter (they still hadn't been able to change the name on the main sign at this point!). Beef with broccoli was just alarmingly good with the broccoli so perfectly fresh and just barely cooked, absolutely the perfect way to have it, sauce and beef were also just crazy good. the ambiance was wonderful. it was clean and it had an old charm to it. the service was not great. there is one woman running the place and she is the waitress for everyone i believe. she had attitude and she was very stand off-ish. we received a dirty glass and when we asked for a new one, she rolled her eyes. the place wasn't even crowded. we were the only people dining in so we couldn't really excuse the behavior. she also had her kids in there which we didn't mind but because her kid acted up, she didn't get him a frosty when someone came to get her food. the actual food was pretty good though. it was great chinese food. the rice was amazing, the chicken wings were yummy, and the rice noodles were just as good. the only thing was a chicken dish someone in my family got. it didn't specify that it came with some sort of gravy. if the service was better, the experience would've been so much nicer. considering we came from NC to try it. read more

I have been eating Chinese foot for 50+ years and have never been served the likes of what this restaurant served. Let me say the service was nice and the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful but.... The "chicken chow mein" was nothing but a huge plate of crispy noodles topped with a small amount of chicken, some onions and peppers. Very little gravy. 3x the amount of noodles as actual chow mein. My combo plate had chicken tenders (see pic) that were nothing but breading with a tiny piece of chicken inside. Breading was at least 1" thick. My combo plate also came with a small piece of egg foo young. Now, Egg Foo Young is one of my favorites!! I'm not sure what "meat" was inside but it was not edible. The egg rolls were the only saving grace for the meal. I have truly never had Chinese food so horrific. Good luck if you give them a try. read more

Tried it years ago and was not impressed. Decided to suffer the same fate by trying again. The food is simply terrible. It could be the grease. The food is covered is grease. A simple item like fried rice is swimming in a pool of oil. Peking ravioli explodes with oil when cutting into them. All this aside the flavor is nonexistent. Yes it's American Chinese, so not expecting anything complex, but something that's palatable. Yes it's in a wasteland of decent Asian food, but Yings is at the bottom. Had heard about this place from several people. Had tried it for takeout on NY Eve a fee years ago and was decent but a holiday is a gamble. I was nearby recently around lunch and stopped in. The exterior could use some TLC. Inside is a little dated but clean and generally fresh. Had a combo plate with chicken fingers, boneless ribs and fried rice. Added a single egg roll. All were solid. I did like this spot but I won't be back after today. I ate nearly my entire meal, and it wasnt until the food was cleared that I saw several bugs in the sauce. Our waitress called the owner who told her to take my plate off the bill and 20% off the remaining bill (which was $5 off.) Awesome Chinese in Marion/ Mattapoisett area. Nothing fancy (except the crystal chandeliers) but the restaurant is meticulously clean and the food is great! They have a large menu but everything is done very well. The hot and sour soup is a must as is the spicy beef with peppers, celery, and onion. Service is great as well. I stick to the soup (and occasionally an order of chicken wings). The large bowl (not listed on the menu) will cure even a big appetite. I've tried to like this place because my friends do and they hang out there. But I think it must be a townie thing, or just good for the socializing. Both times that I ate at the restaurant it seemed very cold temperature wise and I saw that many people sat and ate with their coats on? Why be that uncomfortable. This past week when I was there the Hostess? or person behind the front counter didnt seem interested in working, she was on her cell phone, the business phone and walking around talking to the other workers. You could easily cut her position and then spend a few extra dollars on heat! The service at all times in the restaurant has been great. I have gone and sat at the bar with the same friends and it really seems the regulars get treated very differently from others. The drinks, quality and price, really just average. I go to ying dynasty for many different occasions like my drama club goes there, I get family take out, and I go there for special occations like family get togethers or times to just hang out with friends. I recently went to Florida and had Chinese there and no Chinese food will ever beat ying dynasty food. Here at ying dynasty the food is to die for at some other places especially outside of state you would eat Chinese food and think about what is in it. I love Chinese food and here is the place to get it. When family comes here in Mattapoisett to hang out with us we bring them to ying dynasty. We always go to ying they're food is amazing and has amazing prices. The cost of the food here is so reasonable and affordable that me and my family have picked this resteraunt to be the go to resteraunt for our family. We visited this location for the second time this year for lunch and we were very pleased. We were greeted promptly upon arriving and brought to large comfortable booth. A basket of soft buns with butter were delivered promptly along with our drinks. The waitress surprised us when she remembers how our son liked his chow mien ( strained gravy with no veggies ). The food was served warm and exactly to order. I had the teriyaki beef which was very tasty and my husband had the royal family ( which has every protein you can imagine in it - such as shrimp, beef, scallops, chicken, pork, ect.) He was very pleased with it and the white rice served on the side. The quantity of food is the usual - too much to eat in one sitting - so take home is guaranteed. The restaurant is decorated with the usual Chinese decorations with a few chandeliers. There is a bar on the opposite side of the restaurant but it is separated very well from the main dining area. We have eaten here many times in the past. My husband and I ordered kung pao chicken. It was the worst meal we have eaten in the past 10'years. There was no spice (the dish had a red chili pepper in the menu, but was actually sickenly sweet and buttery tasting). It tasted like the chef steamed bland chicken and threw it into a pan of odd vegetables (straw mushrooms in kung pao chicken)?? Our waiter explained the chef was new. My advice, ask if the chef is experienced before ordering. We shared out concerns with the owner, as well, and at least our bill was reduced and we did not have to pay for this mistake! We will come back as we don't want one bad meal to keep us from a local favorite, but hope this does not happen again. read more
