Their Westminster Roll is one of my all-time favorite sushi rolls. I've enjoyed everything I've tried from here, some items better than others. Mostly pretty standard Chinese and Japanese fare. Prices are a tad high and service has never been great. They seem to mismanage large crowds and I've waited more than an hour for takeout that they assured me would be ready in 20 minutes. I love trying out new sushi places, but nowhere I go compares to this. The staff is friendly and attentive, the sushi tastes even better than it looks. The spicy tuna, Tokyo maki, and New Orleans rolls are musts if your into spicy. Also the banana tempura is perfection. My 1 St time ordering here I got some sushi. It was fresh and flavorful and I highly recommend it. However the next two times I ordered I tried the fried rice, tofu and the general tso's chicken. The rice and the chicken were in a puddle of grease. The tofu was cooked incorrectly which left it with the texture of rubber. My suggestion, stick to the food they don't have to cook. read more

They can't remember to bring any sauce with our orders. This happens 75% of the time no kidding. The only reason we have continued to order from their is that we like the food but service matters wether is dine in or carry out. read more

The food here is OK, but the take out is SLOW. Plan on an hour from ordering. Normally this would not be an issue if not for the fact that they will tell you 30-40 minutes. Online ordering is hit or miss...I've had orders go missing and of course, everything is late. read more

I live near Emmitsburg and was searching for a Chinese restaurant that serves Peking Duck as a birthday surprise for my husband and we were blown away by the quality and service of this restaurant. The Gyoza and Yakitori appetizers were superb soon followed by the gorgeous platter of Peking Duck artfully arranged with the duck meat and skin surrounded by the shredded scallions. And the wonderful desserts of fried ice cream and fried bananas! We will definitely be returning to this wonderful gem. read more

What I ordered was pretty good, not sure if it was worth the wait, but it was good. The other dish we ordered came with a long brown hair right down the middle of the dish. I understand that every so often that is expected to happen, what really disturbs me is that the hair was hanging out of the plastic container and was very noticeable. I'd give them 3.5 stars. They took over a previous Chinese restaurant and renovated the place. It looks more modern now. The option to order online (and with a 10% discount) is great. They do not have a liquor license so it's BYOB! They offer a wide selection of Chinese and some Thai food Like most Chinese restaurants, they have lunch specials until 3 PM. I prefer Forbidden City (also in Westminster) for Chinese food, but go here for the sushi. The people running the restaurant are very friendly. This is a great addition to Westminster. read more

I've came here twice. The server Sherry is extremely rude. She snatched the lunch menu out of my friends hands because it was 3 minutes after the lunch specials ended. She refused to bring my friend a cup of water because she wasn't eating. I also felt extremely sick after both times. The 2nd time I came, the guy was very nice. But Sherry was there & once again, I saw her being rude to her guest. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! My partner and I make this our Friday night place to go! I look forward to it. My partner gets the sushi and raves about it....I don't eat seafood....so I usually get Roast Pork Lo Mein (AWESOME!!!), or the Pad Thai (THE BEST I EVER HAD!!). The service is fantastic, and the Asian middle aged woman (owner??) is so friendly and very accommodating...We love her!! Everyone has ALWAYS been personable and friendly. Still good, just not as good the last two or three times I've gone. Sushi wasn't as fresh and both the fried and steamed dumplings were somewhat thick; the fried was too oily. I also had two botched orders -- ordered szechuan beef and got something else. Twice. read more

I haven't yet experienced their sushi but hear it is great. I find it very difficult to find Chow Fun, this side of Hanover, PA., and was thrilled to learn that Asian Sakae carried it on their menu (Ho Fun). The first time I got it I thought if very good and flavorful and that continued for the next few times I ordered. If the food was consistent, I would have given it a higher rating but the last 3 times I've ordered Ho Fun, it was pretty flavorless. Don't know if they changed cooks but will wait awhile and try again in hopes that I the mediocre/bland orders I got the last 3 times were a fluke. read more

Love the food...minus the crab wontons - flat and drab - sushi menu is fantastic and love trying the chefs sushi specials when in. Pad tai, lo mein, sweet and sour chicken very good. My only concern is that the cleanliness of the restaurant is going down hill. We asked for 3 glasses for our beer and they looked like they were used; asked for 3 more and same thing. If you've ever worked in a restaurant they you may remember the floor becoming greasy at the END of the evening...it was already like that at 5:30, leads me to believe it's not being washed or washed properly on a daily basis. Amazed that sushi this great can be found in Westminster. The prices are comparable to other places, but with more generous portions, and more importantly, the quality is excellent. I highly recommend the Westminster roll - wish I'd discovered it sooner! I saw someone else here also recommends it - it's definitely worth a try! The tempura is also very good as are the other traditional Japanese items on the menu. I've never ordered any of the Chinese dishes on the menu, but dining companions have said they're good. The service is very friendly and efficient. The decor and lighting is nothing special, but that's my only quibble. This place is well worth a try. read more

I would say 3 1/2. Asian Sakae offers the best sushi you will find around Westminster. A large selection of different foods, solid Fried Rice, and they deliver which is great for college students - They even deliver fried ice cream. read more

Came here for the Sushi and was not disappointed. My daughter loves sushi so we came here for her birthday. She said the sushi was really good. I liked it a lot too, but I've only had it once before, so her opinion is more valuable. She said it was some of the best sushi she has had. Very fresh. Asian Sakae has made me a sushi fan. This is the only place I will order sashimi . I pay $10 extra just to have them delivered to Hampstead. The yellowtail sashimi cut thin melts in your mouth like butter. I order a side of spicy mayo to drizzle on the yellowtail sashimi and then I will sprinkle some Massago. To finish it off, I take a few of the radish sprouts and place them on top of the .
