I would love to give the wok a great review. The food arrived hot, (via door dash) the food was very tasty. We ordered general tso chicken which was very tasty. I also got veggie Lomein which was great. But, I also ordered chicken and broccoli. It had a bug in it. Appetite was lost, and unfortunately I can't go back.

    Hair on shrimp

So, before I got to the hair in my food... I had already planned to review this restaurant bc good taste and value and extremely hard to find here in Reisterstown. Initially I was turned off by the greasy egg roll. So much so that it was hard to remove from the packet. I didn't remove it, bc I didn't sit down with a paper towel to blot the grease. The food smelled great. My first view of the combination platter was mixed, it was a smaller portion than I expected but it had good sized shrimp. The sauce consistency (kind of thick, not as spicy either) was not what I expected for schezuan, which I've had from other Asian restaurants. I start eating and I come across a hair like string, it had the look almost of a wood string if you cook with wooden utensils... I'm trying to push pass that- I looked under a brighter light and everything. It was thicker like hair and became very thin on the end, similar to a split end- but the color wasn't screaming "hair" like I said, maybe a wooden spoon splinter. Then, I found actual hair, perhaps an eyelash, bc it was short... but that was it (last straw). I called the restaurant Vs my bank first for a refund. They wanted me to comeback and get a new order- no thanks. I'd like a refund. As a solution, they came to pick up all of the uneaten food in order to issue a refund (no problem with me)... I'd just say buyer beware. I'm frustrated bc of course I'm hungry- but it feels better to get the money back Vs being hungry and without my cash.

Pretty good Chinese joint. Only tried one dish so far but it's good. The egg rolls are very good. Try this place out.

Our server was amazingly sweet and helpful. It was happy hour when we entered. I ordered a Grinch margarita which was great.(happy hour drink $6 and drink of the day) By time the server got to us it was 230 and she said happy hour for hibachi was over. I was upset but got over it. We continued with appetizers and sushi bar items. The appetizers came out in great time and were tasty. We ordered our hibachi (chicken, salmon and shrimp). The cook came over and was the greatest hibachi cook and entertainer. The service continued well and we all decided this would not be our last time visiting this location.

We arrived during happy hour and were able to enjoy the fried oysters, sake wings, and a Mai Tai from the happy hour menu, and all sushi rolls were 50% off. We will likely visit again.

I got the Hawaiian Poke Sushi bowl and the Baked Scallop California roll to share. I'm used to being disappointed by the portions of poke bowls at sit-down restaurants, but this bowl did not disappoint. The bowl had a generous portion of tuna and everything was so fresh. For the scallop roll, there was a large baked scallop on each piece of sushi. I thought having something warm on sushi might be odd, but it was delicious! I'm still thinking about this meal and need to go back soon!

The ambiance is cute and cozy, but a bit stuffy, the person behind me kept hitting my chair lol. The food was mid. I would say I'm a pretty avid sushi eater, this place tries their best, but misses the mark. I enjoyed their appetizers, but actual sushi was bad. The rice is a bit undercooked and has an extra soft texture. It feels a bit too mushy, which feels unnatural. My friend ordered the avocado roll and that was not tasty at all. We asked if we can get it wrote off the bill or returned, but they said "no refund or exchanges!" lol. So we had to take this massive L for the mediocre sushi. That is all; see attached a photo.

I was saddened to learn they changed owners some years ago, and I was afraid the quality would be affected in a negative way. It was a great relief to learn the quality actually got better, which I didn't think was possible. The fish is consistently incredibly fresh, the textures are clean and delicate, and every roll is balanced in a way that really highlights the natural flavor of the ingredients. I also greatly appreciated that they didn't change the menu much, because I would have been sad about my favorites getting removed. True, the Japanese feeling and atmosphere the geishas brought under the previous administration was more welcoming. However, I would rather have better quality food over atmosphere. That said, the restaurant still has a cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere that makes it very comfortable to dine in. I love that it is not a huge location. I prefer smaller restaurants to avoid crowds and eat without disturbing my peace. More personal attention too, as you get to know the owner and chefs and they remember you when you're back. The service and attention is better that way. This place is like that. They are also very accommodating with customizations, whether you want to add or remove ingredients, and they are always willing to adjust orders to your preference. Service is still excellent. It's perfect as it is. The flavors are consistently excellent, with a level of care and precision that you can taste in every bite. I would really like it if they added at least one deluxe roll that has lime or lemon as an ingredient. I've only found one sushi restaurant in MD that uses it as an ingredient. In other states I've visited, they use it and it is totally worth it, as it is a great contrast that elevates the raw fish flavors. It's a bit disappointing sushi in MD is different that way. But this place is amazing. I fully recommend it to sushi lovers.

Ordered a really delicious fruity iced tea to start with. Then opted to get the avocado boat as well as the Bruce Roll, which was tempura shrimp and lump crab meat topped with avocado and eel sauce and was absolutely delicious. The avocado boat, not so much, is it really wasn't what I was expecting it wasn't my cup of tea. The spicy tuna mixed with crab meat was delicious but I expected it to be mixed with the avocado and mixed with the avocado rice. Instead it was inside of an avocado shell and the rice was underneath with some avocado in it. It was definitely filling it just wasn't as I expected it would be and as I expected as it was described in the description on the menu. They say you live and you learn and I did with that. But my sushi was excellent and everything else that everyone else got looked delicious from the stir fry udon noodles to the pad thai to the other sushi rolls that others had gotten. We were all too full for dessert though the desserts looked amazing. Lots of things to try the next time I'm there and it will likely be soon. The food was reasonable for what we got and for the portion size. Highly recommend. Our service was very good our server was right on top of everything we needed kept our water glasses filled and was there any time we had questions. The restaurant was also very nice inside I had a nice decor even though it was mostly full over there it wasn't loud and you could certainly talk to everyone at the table and be heard without having to scream. There was a small outdoor area but we opted to eat inside.

If you like Japanese barbecue, you will love it. They have many different tears that you can purchase. Starting at 68 and going away up to over 100. You can also choose to add unlimited sushi for an additional five dollars. That was definitely worth the add on. They give you full sushi rolls and not just a couple of pieces. They will limit you to a maximum of 15 items you can order and one time. It seems like a lot, but that also includes your appetizers and sizes. There is also a 10 minute cooldown between orders. Overall, the experience is excellent. Not a place you would come frequently but for an occasional night out, it is great. I am interested in coming in one day just to check out the bar scene. As we were leaving, it looked pretty lively over there.
