This is my local go-to spot for Chinese and sushi. The food is always hot and fresh. The 3 roll maki sushi lunch special is my favorite order. $14 for three rolls? Can't beat it. I love that I get a "your food is here" courtesy text right before my food is delivered. It gives me time to lock away my dog! The delivery guys is consistently pleasant. I stumbled across this restaurant. It sits in the corner and is not viewable from the road. There are plenty of parking spaces available. You can carryout or dine in. The flow of customers seem to be carryout. I ordered cream cheese wonton, volcano roll and Philadelphia roll. It was fairly inexpensive. I received my order in about 15 minutes. The wontons were overcooked to a toasted burnt edge. The maki rolls were okay but not really flavorful. The guy at the counter was helpful and friendly. I have been a customer for over 30 years and the ownership has changed several times in that period. However, the food has always been good to great. Friendly, free delivery to my area. Sometimes I pickup and they are easy to order from either call or use the web. Their Pork fried rice is the best in the area, has been consistently the same for those 30+ years. Their sushi is good and may not be as deluxe as other Japanese restaurants in the balto area, but it's a B+A- in most items. We have lived in the area for two years and usually go to another local Chinese restaurant. We decided to give Szechuan Wok a try and it did not disappoint. We were pleased with everything we ordered. From the shrimp toast to the Hunan chicken, everything was seasoned perfectly and very fresh. My son is a very picky eater and has specific go-to meals. So, before I got to the hair in my food... I had already planned to review this restaurant bc good taste and value and extremely hard to find here in Reisterstown. Initially I was turned off by the greasy egg roll. So much so that it was hard to remove from the packet. I didn't remove it, bc I didn't sit down with a paper towel to blot the grease. The food smelled great. My first view of the combination platter was mixed, it was a smaller portion than I expected but it had good sized shrimp. The sauce consistency (kind of thick, not as spicy either) was not what I expected for schezuan, which I've had from other Asian restaurants. I start eating and I come across a hair like string, it had the look almost of a wood string if you cook with wooden utensils... I'm trying to push pass that- I looked under a brighter light and everything. It was thicker like hair and became very thin on the end, similar to a split end- but the color wasn't screaming "hair" like I said, maybe a wooden spoon splinter. Then, I found actual hair, perhaps an eyelash, bc it was short... but that was it (last straw). I called the restaurant Vs my bank first for a refund. They wanted me to comeback and get a new order- no thanks. I'd like a refund. As a solution, they came to pick up all of the uneaten food in order to issue a refund (no problem with me)... I'd just say buyer beware. I'm frustrated bc of course I'm hungry- but it feels better to get the money back Vs being hungry and without my cash. read more

This is the first Asian restaurant I am not impressed by in Reisterstown. I have never had hot and sour soup that has virtually no taste to it until now. So many ingredients with 0 taste. My wife tries various menu items,ALL have been excellent.Even the crab wontons(I know,no real crab) are crisp and tasty too. Once I forgot to ask for no veggies, they re-made my food 5 minutes before they closed. They are just the sweetest! This has been a local Reisterstown favorite of mine for probably twenty years or more. The reason? They are pretty consistent with good solid Chinese carry-out style food. Sometimes when I'm hungry for a very casual Chinese dinner, I will go in, order, and sit down at one of the tables in the back and eat there. Very extensive menu. I love the chicken vegetable wrap. They also have a sushi bar, which is more for show because I have not seen anyone sit there for years. I am not sure what happened but the food that I had was horrible. I had general Taos shrimp and half the shrimp were rotten smelling and looked like leftover shrimp from a sweet n sour dish. There were maybe 3 pieces of broccoli in the sauce. It was disgusting. I have been to this place many times over the past 10 years and never had a problem until now. This is our go to place for Chinese in Owings Mills. We've tried several other places but this one is the best. We get take out and utilize the delivery option quite often but have never actually eaten in restaurant. The staff is friendly but of course our interaction has been minimal. Delicious Chinese food! Consistently. This is more of a carry-out/delivery restaurant with a few tables and chairs if you wish to dine-in. They even have a Sushi Bar in the dining area.
