I have visited a couple of times before I shared my review. I'm used to hot pot places by now so I'm rating it based off my experiences. For the price, you get a lot of options here which I like. Sushi, hot pot, bbq you name it. The sauce bar is extensive and the food items on the bar are ok. My only fall back is the service here. Sometimes you get a person who is timely and sometimes one who might not be so there's delays in ordering items. Wouldn't say don't visit but be prepare with what you might want to order. read more

Amazing food, but ordering logistics need an upgrade Legend Pot hits the mark on the most important thing: the food. The environment is really nice, and the hot pot bases are incredibly flavorful. We were also super impressed with the quality of the meat--everything came out fresh, tender, and high quality. The downside, and the main reason for the 3-star review, is their ordering system. They don't use tablets for ordering, so you are entirely dependent on your server. When the restaurant gets busy, it can take a good bit of time just to track someone down to order a second round. It's frustrating to sit there stuck in the "ordering stage" when you're ready to eat. The saving grace during the wait is their buffet bar. Their fried chicken wings are surprisingly awesome! It gives you something delicious to snack on while you're waiting for your waiter or for your next round of food to hit the table. I really hope management considers upgrading to a tablet system or streamlining the re-ordering process, especially for peak hours. What a great restaurant! I was in BR for work and decided to stop by Legend Pot on a recommendation from my daughter. The menu is huge, and a bit overwhelming. Tiffany, my server, was wonderful. She "dummed down" the menu for me, and helped me choose the ingredients to make an awesome hot pot. It was really good! She told me to get: Beef belly Sliced lamb Spicy broth Enoki and Shitake mushrooms Sliced pumpkin Napa Cabbage Bok Choy And Ramen Noodles The buffet bar has a really great kimchi and squid salad and lots of other stuff. The vibe is great with some nice music playing, and the staff is definitely upbeat, and the whole place is very clean. I definitely recommend Legend Pot! read more

I'm super excited to see a hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi all-you-can-eat restaurant open in Baton Rouge. I have tried numerous hot pot and Korean places outside of BR, and I even make them at home, so I'm thrilled that there is now this type of restaurant conveniently located within our city. Getting all three options for one price is absolutely worth it to me--if you're not in the mood for one, you can simply enjoy another. I much prefer having all the options available rather than having to choose one and pay extra for others. The restaurant itself is spacious and modern, with large, comfortable seating that is well laid out. Their hot pot is excellent--the spicy broths are very flavorful, with a heat level that's just right. While I haven't tried the non-spicy soups yet, I really appreciate that you can customize your broth at the sauce bar. It's well stocked with most of the essentials needed to enhance flavor, such as bouillon bases and soy sauces, and the sauce bar itself is nicely equipped for creating your own concoction. That said, the bar could be improved with more variety. Currently, the hot food options are limited mainly to fried chicken and fries, which don't offer much for guests or kids who don't enjoy cooking their own food. Dessert options are also minimal, consisting only of ice cream and mini cakes, which leaves something to be desired. The Korean BBQ is decent, though the meat selection is somewhat limited. The sushi is okay--not the best I've had, but it satisfies a craving when I'm in the mood for sushi. The all-you-can-eat sashimi and appetizers, however, taste great. Overall, there are both pros and cons, but I do think the weekday lunch is worth the money. You get access to most of the offerings, and being able to enjoy hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi all in one place makes it a good value. I've been waiting forever for Legend Pot to open, so I was super excited to finally try it today. I got the Szechuan broth, and honestly, it was perfectly spicy and numbing but not over the top. Didn't even need to add anything. I went all in on the premium brisket and beef tongue, and both were amazing. Great fat-to-meat ratio, and the sauce options were endless. We also tried the Korean BBQ and sushi, and for all-you-can-eat, the value is insane. The short ribs were my favorite, and the bulgogi was really tasty, not too sweet. Sushi was surprisingly fresh too; nothing tasted frozen. The service was impeccable, as we never had to wait long for meat despite how busy it was, as well as consistent grill changes and complimentary ice cream towards the end! Overall, I'd 100% go back. This could easily become my new favorite spot for hot pot and KBBQ. read more

It was packed so we had to wait for our table. This wasn't bad but there was only 1 couch to wait on. Thus, if there are a lot of people then the customers would have to wait outside or stand near the entrance. The ambiance was good and After the wait (just word of mouth, no ringer/ text/ pager), we followed the hostess to our table and sat down. The table was sticky and the walls had sauces on it. It seems that the area was not well cleaned before we can but that could be because of the lunch rush. The waitress came by and took our order. The waitress did well in putting our orders but it was on us to make the ordering more optimized (making all the orders for items at once). I feel like this system could be improved by just providing iPads for customers to order themselves. It would cut down on repetition and the delay between orders (waitress does many tables) and make it more optimized for the customers to figure out what they are ordering and to make sure that they had the order that they placed in. The food ranged between good and not so good. It was never bad as it was all edible, but it could definitely be improved overall. The hotpot was overall good. The miso soup, Szechuan soup, and Tom yum were good. The pork soup was not the best as it was not so flavorful. The items that you can get in the hotpot menu was great. Some were not flavored but that could be helped with the sauces at the appetizer and sauces station in the center. I did not get a few items that I ordered which worked for the best as we could have ordered more. The kbbq section did not have a lot of options. Most of the meat on the list were either unseasoned or seasoned with the same "spicy" sauce. This spicy sauce made the meats easier to burn on the grill and also made it hard to determine if the meat was fully cooked. The spicy fish also did not taste good. The grill during cooking was not hot enough so it had to be increased to help the meats not take a long time to cook. I'd say that this was definitely the worst part of the meal. The sushi was okay. We ordered 2 rolls which were okay. The sashimi and appetizers were pretty worth it. The appetizers were chicken tenders, fried chicken, and French fries. This was actually pretty good. The seaweed salad and octopus salad were good too. Some of the desserts were not the best aside from the classic cake that you'd see at all buffets. Overall, it was good if you get certain items but as an overall assessment: it could use some work. For the price, it is well worth to try and go once you figure out what was good. Foods: 1) soups: pork broth was not so good (3/5) but the miso, Szechuan, Tom yum were good (5/5) 2) fish balls and other toppings for hot pot: 5/5 most if not all were good. Some not seasoned but can be fixed with sauces from the sauce station 3) kbbq: I'd say it's not worth the wait for just this. The grill is not that good at cooking and most meats taste the same with the "spicy" sauce. The name is fitting: a place of legends for legends! The food is fresh, highest quality and the service is unmatched. It is family-friendly (we brought our 6- and 7-year-olds). All the servers (hostesses, waitresses, bussers) are incredibly attentive. Kennedy was our waitress. She was a dream: helpful with suggestions, frequently checked on us and so friendly! The boys and I were feeling a bit hungry and in the mood for something different on December 30, 2025, around 5:30 PM. My youngest piped up, "Dad, why don't we try that place you've been eyeing--it's open now and always packed with cars." The oldest opted to stay home, but my younger son, with his adventurous palate, joined me for the outing. A sign out front hinted at a soft opening, and with a modest crowd inside, the receptionist greeted us warmly and seated us promptly. The waitress was quick to arrive, walking us through the expansive menu and buffet lineup: various nigiri and sushi rolls, Korean BBQ, jeongol hot-pot soups, chicken wings, salads, pastries, and ice cream. With the bar still under development, drinks were limited to teas and sodas, but that didn't detract from our main mission-- eating. The manager stopped by, friendly as could be, introducing himself and making us feel right at home. We dove into the Korean BBQ concept--a fun, do-it-yourself hibachi setup where we grilled up squid, short ribs, salmon, shrimp, and pretty much the whole shebang, spiced to our liking. The sushi was pretty good too, fresh and well-prepared. It's an all-you-can-eat experience priced at the upper end of modest, but worth it for the variety and quality. The restaurant hummed with a steady flow of patrons, a nod from the broader community looking for a flavorful experience. I had a really disappointing experience at Legend Pot, and unfortunately it came down to how the manager handled the situation. I believe his name was Jay. The meal itself started off fine, but when we tried to give simple, respectful feedback about the food, everything went downhill. Instead of listening or showing any level of professionalism, the manager immediately became defensive and dismissive. It felt like our concerns were brushed off rather than acknowledged, which made the situation unnecessarily uncomfortable. At one point, the interaction turned confrontational. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or improve the experience, the manager seemed more focused on arguing and shifting blame onto us. That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable in a customer service setting--especially at a restaurant where guests are paying for both food and hospitality. On top of that, it was pretty noticeable how he treated his own staff. He came off rude and disrespectful toward employees, and you could tell it affected the overall atmosphere. When management behaves that way, it reflects poorly on the entire operation. It also seemed like the restaurant was overstaffed, as multiple servers were standing around without customers, which added to the sense of disorganization. Because of this, I'm only giving this place one star. The way management treats their staff directly affects the working environment, and that kind of negative atmosphere can carry over into how customers are treated as well. A good manager should be able to handle feedback calmly and professionally, even if they don't agree with it. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The lack of accountability and poor communication left a very negative impression. Food is amazing. Best I've ever had. As a vegetarian, I'm used to being limited on what I can have but not here! There's options for the bbq (pineapple, sweet potato), hot pot (almost all the broths are vegan, but the chinese herbal is amazing), and sushi (at least 5 rolls, and inari sashimi). Plus the sauce bar. I've gone twice so far, but this is my new go to spot. Only complaint is that sometimes the service is slow. I was told the other new korean bbq place has pads you can order on so maybe that is something they'll invest in for the future. I hope this place stays consistent because I'm a happy camper! read more

Tried this place out for the first time. The Kbbq was pretty good, hot pot was just ok, sushi was definitely not good though. Wish there was more traditional kbbq side dishes and sauces. They close at 10:30 but last call to order was at 9:30 which I thought was weird. Service was excellent, at least our waitress was very nice and helpful. My family and I had dinner here a few weeks ago for my moms birthday. There are not enough amazing adjectives to describe how wonderful the food is, the ambiance of the interior, our server Kennedy was perfection. The manager was even lovely. I'm telling everyone I know that they need to experience Legend Pot. We will be coming back very very soon. I waited for the hype to die down and found out that lunch was only $23 for all you can eat so I was very excited. The service was a bit overwhelming and confusing once we were sat at the table. We seemed to have two different servers and they came back to back asking repeating questions. I would've liked to have the menu and bar explained to us so we weren't on our own from the get go. The restaurant it self was very nice and looked sleek. The three different menus were also overwhelming as we had to look through them quickly so we could possibly get the service off our back lol. The hot pot base was bland (Szechuan spicy and Miso) compared to the other restaurants I've tried. The portions that were ordered for our hot pot and kbbq were small and we had to order the same ingredient twice at times. The bar in the middle of the restaurant had many options for quick appetizers and sauce which was nice and tasty. Lastly the sushi was very tasty. If I had the option to go for the sushi I would. It is definitely a great option for big parties but for a lunch with one or two friends I don't see myself going back anytime soon. read more

The other thing I would recommend for them is to bring out each individual persons order separately so in big groups people don't get confused as to what's what and who's belongs to who. read more

This will go down as one of the worst meals we've ever had. We have been driving by for months anticipating the restaurant opening. When we walked in, no one greeted us, we eventually found out we had to sign in on an IPad. We signed in then waited to be seated. You have 2 hours to eat. We got there at 3 and were told we needed to place our last request for food by 4. We didn't do the soup, we did sushi and Korean BBQ. We ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and spicy chicken bulgogi along with onion, green bell pepper and zucchini. This was for two people. We got one serving of the chicken, one serving of the beef. One slice of onion, 3 green bell pepper rings, and 3 slices of zucchini. There is a grill in the middle of the table. The server squirts oil and you are to cook your food. I put the veggies in first to get them cooking. It took a long time for the grill to get hot. I cooked them for about 10 minutes then started cooking the meat because we were hungry and on a time limit. You can order more, but we were told we had to have the order in before 4. It was hard to tell if the food was completely cooked. And the sauce makes everything stick. I had to ask for more squirts of oil to cook the food. I was not bowled over by the food. It was not that spicy. There is a small buffet set up with condiments . I enjoyed the kimchi cucumbers and pickled radishes the most. I ate the chicken drummets because I was not impressed by the bulgogi. The server (who was very helpful) came by at 4:05 and asked if we wanted anything more. I said 'wasn't our time up because lunch ends at 4?" She said no, we just couldn't order the items designated as dinner items, but we still had time to order more. So we ordered the spicy fish. We got 3 pieces the size of a quarter. They came in the same sauce as the chicken and beef. I used one set of the tongs to put the fish on the grill. (There is a problem with cross contamination to use the same tongs to take the cooked fish off the bbq. No one told me about this, I just knew it because of my prior cooking experience.) I used another set of tongs to remove the cooked fish - which was terrible by the way. Also, for dessert there are individual portions of ice cream in a chest by the buffet. The orange sherbet was the worst I've ever had. And the butter pecan ice cream is low-fat and has no pecans in it. Maybe they're trying to keep me thin? No oil at the table, small portions, low fat desserts All in all, we were very dissatisfied and disappointed. When we were waiting for our table, we were told by other customers who had just eaten that if you don't eat all your food and want to take it home - it will get weighted and you will pay by the pound for it. read more

I love hot pot been eating hot pot for years it's my favorite. I usually go to Lafayette .. but this place is amazing!! I love it so much. It's really nice inside and always very clean. Wait staff is very nice and helpful. I just love the lady that owns it she is so amazing she makes every visit very special. I love seeing her there and she always remembers me and my friend. The broths for the hot pot are very flavorful. Everything is so fresh and tasty. So much to choose from it almost overwhelming. This place is perfect for date night!! Definitely try this place out. Service was horrendous. Party of 6. Spent over two hours there and server came by twice after seating us. Hardly was able to order food so I couldn't tell you how it was. Only had soup that was something I could have made at home. They didn't turn our grills on until after I Went to the front to complain and ask where my server is so we could order again after being there for a hour and fifteen minutes. Waited a hour plus to get the grill on. Manager came by about 15 minutes after that. Complained to him about it. Said he would get someone to us and apologized. Three people came five minutes apart and asked us what we would like. Tables around us were being checked on about every ten minutes except us. Then the original server came back after that and said she had the nerve to ask us if we requested a new server and just walked off. We all barely ate anything, only soup with the very little meats and veggies we were able to order, and the wings at the buffet line. By the time they got us anything to grill most of us lost our appetites and said let's just leave. After the last employee asked me the same question I just told him give me the check we don't want to be here any longer. Paid over $200 for basically 6 bowls of broths. Total time there two and a half hours. Extremely terrible and frustrating experience for a dine in restaurant. Would take a lot to get my family and I to go back. Definitely will NOT return. Food was not only nasty but so was the service from the manager. They say all you can eat but what they really mean Is all you can eat and what you don't. The manager waited until we were the last table in the restaurant to inform us of the no waste policy. And when they say no waste they mean they will come pick up all the scraps left over weigh them and charge you $9.00 a lb. And when I say scraps I mean a piece of salmon that 3 people tried and didn't like was added to the scale I mean a piece of chicken that the toddler chewed up and spit out was added to the scale.
