If you could see my number of visits here (I don't think I checked in every single time) you wouldn't need any further text from me in this review, as it would be clear that I keep voting with my feet. The place isn't much to look at - it's a generic storefront on Calle Ocho sandwiched in between Bar Nancy, another "interesting" bar I don't know the name of that I've never been to (I swear!), and Mi Rinconcito Mexicano. Yes, I know full well that the very-popular Lung Yai Thai is just a couple blocks down the street.....the thing is, I kinda prefer this place. It's SO easy to just pickup takeout here. Ordering online is simple. You can order here right off its Yelp listing if you want. Paying online is simple. The orders are always properly fulfilled, and the time estimates given are typically accurate. I go, I've already paid, the bag's ready for me, I grab it and leave. I really, really appreciate not having to get on the phone and try to explain spiciness levels, protein modifications, etc. I hate doing that. It often leads to confusion and errors with the order. I wish more places had a simple online ordering and payment system! I'm that guy who sometimes avoids ordering from certain places just because I have to call. It looks like I am not the only one who appreciates the take-out system here, as there always seems to be a booming business, whether it's a weekend evening or a random weekday. Foodwise, over the years I've had too many items on the rather extensive menu to bother mentioning them one by one. There's just a lot of good dishes. Boat noodle soup, udon soup, udon drunken noodles, curries, beef salad, shu mai - I've had all of these and many more. It was 9pm and we hadn't eaten dinner so we decided to order in. I was in the mood for noodles and noticed Asian Thai Kitchen 2 had fantastic reviews. I ordered the Thai Cashew Nut Chicken(Hot), edamame, a side of steamed vegetables, and udon noodles(since the Thai cashew nut chicken came with rice). It all came out to just $30 with taxes, fees, delivery , and tip which I felt was a great value. My order definitely took a while to be delivered which was a bit frustrating since it was already so late at night. The original ETA was 10:20-10:40 and my food didn't arrive until about 10:50PM. I was STARVING. Thankfully, everything was delicious. I'd skip the udon noodles next time. Since they came on the side, they were all stuck together and difficult to enjoy. Long overdue review for a place I order regularly for (and since I have never ate there this will be a strict review of their food) Food: Just to start off, this isn't the best thai food i've had in my life. But let me tell you, this is definitely one of my top 5 in Florida overall. For starters, they have a variety of noodles. It bothered me a lot that a lot of places use the same type of thin rice noodles, but here they have the variety including my favorite flat rice and udon. As for the flavor, pretty good! They don't seem to skimp out on flavor which is exactly what I want from a thai place. Additionally, the ratios of veggies, meat, egg, and noodles are great! I have yet to experience a bad ratio/dish here but I also have a lot to explore. I only have ordered noodle dishes from here. Recommendations: Udon Drunken Noodles, hot (pad kee mao equivalent but with udon). Spice: I like my spicy foods and I get regular hot. Haven't tried the thai hot yet because it can be way too much sometimes. Price: I am so happy to see the price similar to that back in California. The portions are very much worth the price. They aren't overcharging or undercharging in my opinion. Also a quick comment to those who order: remember a 3rd party is involved. Sometimes it is not the restaurant's fault rather other circumstances so please take note of that and address the right people. read more

This is a hidden gem. We got there five minutes before closing in which we did not know about and they sat us down with no hesitation and did rush is. It's a very teeny tiny place but don't let the size or the uninspiring decor fool you. The Thai food will make you feel like you are in Thailand. We each ordered a soup, with an entree and a complimentary dessert. Little hidden gems! Great costumer service! I ordered the med hot rice and the Thai hot noddles and they were wayyyyy toooooo spicy. And we love spicy food. Called them up w/out expectations and the lady who answered surprisingly tole me me she's make me another if I picked it up - too backed up for delivery. Food was delicious, fresh and hot! Went on a Saturday night around 9:20pm and the place was empty but next door is the take out which seemed really busy as people kept mistakenly entering the dine-in area. Started off with some pork gyoza and thom kai gah soup. Highly recommend that coconut chicken soup! The waitress was very attentive but of course we were the only ones there. That had some good old 80-90s music playing so it was perfect for a date night. We also ordered the chicken pad Thai to share and it was plenty to keep us filled. The food was alright, but value on price was horrible. 16$ for pad Thai gets you 2 servings most places but this was awful value.

Started with Tiger Tear, a traditional Thai spicy beef salad which I love. The version here tastes of fresh ingredients but the authenticity is missing. The unique taste of the burnt rice powder is missing and the sweetness from the Thai sweet chili sauce they add may reflect an effort to make this dish more Americanized but didn't work for me. Next up, Thai Boat Noodle soup. Again, the fresh, quality ingredients are appreciated. But at $10, the bowl is on the smallish side. Tastes of fresh cilantro, lemongrass, and garlic. I'd recommend this on its good flavor, but certainly no value item from what is, after all, basically a take out place. It should be $6 tops, and then would be highly recommended as it's very tasty. Considering the lack of good Thai options, I'd recommend this place. With a few recipe and pricing tweaks I feel they could be 5-stars-excellent. read more

It is great to have this restaurant here in Calle 8. Brings variety at the otherwise Latin restaurants that dominate the street. Thai food is always on my routine of things to eat on my weekends and it's good to have a restaurant near by. The food a d service are both excellent and you cant go wrong with what you choose. The miso soup was good and a good size cup. I ordered the Pnang Curry Chicken which was delicious. Nice amount of spice and chicken with white rice. A very filling meal. The Pad Thai, which is probably peoples's favorite thai dish is a little on the sweet side. Though I like it, I prefer mine on a more neutral, more peanut flavor instead of sweet. But that's just my preference. Overall, this restaurant is worth the visit and I will be coming regularly. read more

Spring rolls are the best I've had in Miami. They come with what tastes like a homemade hot sauce and in a container that has carefully hand cut "vent holes" so the rolls stay warm without getting soggy from their own steam. Wow!! Came in this place because we were visiting Miami and wanted some thai. The inside is adorable and the waitress was extremely nice! We ordered the pork & beef pad see ew, some shrimp dish with glass noodles, and the beef satay. And thai tea. Everything was served hot and had tons of flavor!!! It looks like a small portion but it wasnt. The pork was cooked perfectly, no fat. The beef was tender. My dad inhaled his shrimp. We ate thai donuts for dessert which were light yet filling and not too sweet or greasy (you know that feeling when the sugar coats your teeth? Not here). I always try to eat at a place 2 to 3 times before I write a review... The first time I went...I tried their lunch special and had the drunken noodles with fried tofu...I was not impressed. But I thought that maybe it was because it was a lunch special. The fried tofu was good... But then again how can you really mess up fried tofu? But I asked for level 10 spicy which was their highest spice level and my bf who can't eat spicy at all was eating my dish...uummm... Not spicy... And the flavor was way too sweet! We were the only table there and I still had to flag them down a couple of times. I just got delivery and tried their spring rolls... It was decent... But for $6 I expected it to be a little more. It was 4 bites... And I'm guessing no one there knows how to roll a spring roll since as soon as I picked it up... Almost all the filing dropped out. So I basically just made a salad. I asked for extra sauce and I didn't get any extra sauce. 3/5 I also got the fried tofu appetizer and it was what it was. The sauce was from a bottle and not made in house and fried tofu... The price on this was decent. $4 overall this was the best thing I are from here... That's pretty sad. :( 4.5/5 I also ordered the beef drunken noodles. I asked for it to be very very very very very spicy and they made it spicy with black pepper... :( Not real chilis. And the beef... Wow. I like beef jerky but I didn't think that I would be eating it in my noodles. All I can taste is the black pepper and salt... I probably order take out from tthis restaurant 2-3x a week. I absolutely love Thai food is my #1 comfort food and I need to have it atleast 1x per week. I stumbled upon this restaurant through Ubereats and it's convenient. As for the taste I love that they use the big flat rice noodles for their pad see eww and it's almost always perfectly made not too chewy. I would say tho that altHough theyre a pretty solid restaurant sometimes the coNsistecy is not on point especially on Mondays. I'm not sure if their regular chef is off or what but I've learned not to order on mondays. With that said this is my go to Thai restaurant for take out! Thought we ordered Thai but what we got is unspeakable. Our dishes had so much black pepper, yup, black pepper!!! The meat was rough, the dumplings were frozen, the only flavor was of black pepper. I want to preface this review by saying I love ATK, and my thai cravings have always taken me to one of their two locations (the Grove location is near my home, and the Calle Ocho location near my work). I'll continue going back, but only to the Grove location after personally calling in an order for pick-up. I had literally the worst experience ordering delivery last night - a particularly bad night, going in a worse direction by this snafu with Yelp's Eat24 and ATK2. I placed an order at 9:24pm, and upon receiving my confirmation, I realized I typed one letter wrong in my address (and Miami, y'all know this changes everything). I called ATK2, trying to explain, but the person on the phone explained apologetically that the Grove location takes the online orders and that they 1) couldn't find a record of my order even though I placed it at the Calle Ocho location and 2) couldn't help me. I then called the Grove location, and they also couldn't find my order. After asking me to hold and calling their ATK2 counterparts, they came back to say again nobody could find my order. Fine, maybe it fell into the void of the internet, so I asked if I could place a new delivery order with them - after telling them the correct address, they tell me they can't deliver to the location because its outside their delivery range. I...have never encountered this problem before but it's 10pm by now and I'm hangry and I just want my noodles. I ask to order pick-up, but since the ATK2 location is closer to work, I have to grumpily thank the Grove location and call the other one. After listing my order, I overhear someone in the background say "Is this the same order?" because I literally ordered the same thing as I had ordered online, but they didn't ask me if that was the case, they just agreed and said it'd be ready in 30 minutes. Story's not over yet, guys. A delivery driver from Eat24 calls me at 10:15 to tell me he's here (at the wrong location). For eff's sake. I don't speak Spanish, the driver didn't speak English, so all I could do was repeat the correct address and he said "I'm coming to you". I make my third call to ATK2, and they are still confused but things seem to finally be clicking into place and they understandable cancelled my pick-up order. After all of this, my order was incorrect. Papaya salad, medium spicy? Was not spicy. Pad see ew, medium spicy? Not spicy (and frankly, tasted like nothing but unseasoned chicken - I added salt and hot sauce). Drunken noodles, medium spicy? Okay I'll give it to them, they actually did medium spicy. But 1 out of 3 dishes correct after all this? I literally cried into my noodles. It was not a good Saturday night. read more

I was craving for Thai food and wanted to try somewhere new and I came across this place. I was a bit confused when I came in the restaurant: no one was at the restaurant, we saw the menu and seat down. A lady came after and said hi and was friendly. And then the wow factor that will make me come back. Here is my breakdown: FOOD I ordered a Pad Thai and a Thai Ice Tea. And I got to say, I was amazed at the quality of the food. It surpassed my expectations. The food was very tasty, flavorful and cooked at the perfect temperature. I really enjoyed and ate it all without feeling tired of eating the same dish. Also ordered the Thai ice tea-- great portion and not very sweet which is great. AMBIANCE / DECOR The decor is very interesting and unique to say the least. The bright reddish color is kind of overwhelming but yea, the whole decoration embraces and blends well together. SERVICE The waiter was very friendly, very attentive. Overall I guess they are known for their delivery service, but if you are looking for a very calm place to eat come eat in. The spring rolls steamed a little on the drive home, they probably would have been better if I ate them right away. Looking forward to trying more of the menu! Very unpleasant experience with this restaurant. I ordered online for delivery knowing that this restaurant is only 3 minutes by car from my place only to receive my food after two hours later!! Called several times and they kept saying the food was on its way and that it was raining hard and that they were busy at the restaurant and that there was a problem with GPS... so many excuses!! They charged $ 5 delivery fee with a minimum of $25 order (I ordered more) for a 3 minute drive and I even gave 15% tip on top of that. Not only did the food arrive sooo late, the food was also cold and bland as expected as it must have already been sitting for a long time.
