a spot i used to hit up all the time back in my uni days. really good asian fusion with funky desserts. real ones know it used to be called "107 coffee and dessert," which was kinda misleading. i never went here for coffee, but the desserts were always cool. when i went for the first time, i didn't expect them to actually serve food... let alone asian fusion food. eventually they dropped that name and have opened like a billion more locations. i always liked the exposed brick and vibes here. it's a cute and casual place. service is always good too, pretty much everyone that works here goes to FIU so everyone is chill. there's a little bar area you can chill at or there's quite a few tables. food always came out quickly and deliciously. my favourite dish was the korean rice bowl (aka bibimbap) but it seems that they've discontinued it... actually, it seems they've discontinued a lot of the things i used to eat here, whoops. i did have the regular donburi somewhat recently (as i don't live in miami anymore) and, while different from what i was expecting, i enjoyed it. i still recommend this place! read more

Incredible food served in a delightful little restaurant with gracious hosts. I was just floored by the quality of the food. The shrimp spicy mayo was one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. Perfectly cooked shrimp (not overcooked like most places do) in a perfect spicy mayo sauce. Amazing! A month ago I wanted to go again and remembered that there was more than one location. Came to find out one closer to me situated across FIU on 107th ave. All of the sudden the 107 in the name made sense. I asked if that location was the 'OG', and they confirmed it was and hence the seemingly random name. Service was good. There's a mix of regular folks and students (both servers and dining), which ensures pricing remains reasonable in order to cater to student budgets. I found pricing to be the same at both locations. I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The servers were so attentive and fast with everything. The food came out excellent and fresh, the only thing that was a little bit surprising is that my Cheesy Noodles on Fire were not actually spicy or hot in flavor. Keep in mind that if you get this, it's also full of vegetables such as sliced red peppers so this dish is not just noodles and protein. Finally got out with some coworkers for lunch on Wednesday. We were deciding between the Poke Bowl and 107 Taste and decided here. The ambiance is always so nice here and they have expanded a few times for more space to have more sit in dining. When I come I order the same pineapple fried rice with shrimp and a bubble tea. It must have been a minute because they changed a few things. For one, the bubble tea was now served from a can in only brown sugar or taro. I chose brown sugar. I was curious about it having tapioca balls in it but it didn't come out until the last pour, and I'm glad it didn't since it was disgusting. Not very fresh which of course is not possible from a can. Then the fried rice was super crunchy and at first I thought it was shells from the shrimp. It turned out that the rice was fried hard into crunchy balls as clumps throughout, but the shrimp was also somewhat breaded and didn't taste good. Overall the recipe was not the same. The waitress overheard me and took the feedback to the chef who offered to make me something new, but there was nothing else I care for on the menu and we were on our short lunch break. I was able to get the crunchy pieces out and left the shrimp to the side and ate what I could so I wouldn't go back to work hungry. I appreciated the efforts of course. But not sure when I'll return since it was something I could count on as a delicious dish in the past and I was a little disappointed. read more
