Spicy chicken and shrimp pad Thai, I caution you it is spicy, but delicious
Roly P.

We had never been to this place, but our Cousin (the birthday girl) said the food was amazing. She was not kidding. Everything was delicious and the draft beer is cold. The staff is very nice and gracious. The place has a nice vibe to it and is well located on the corner of the very popular coconut Grove area in Miami. The only downside to this restaurant for anyone visiting this area is the parking can be challenging. If you like Thai food, you should definitely make a reservation and try this place out.

Pad see ew

Thai cuisine gem in Miami! We ordered tom yum goong ($9 for a small bowl but it was delicious sour/spicy), beef massaman curry (one of the smoothest curries I've ever had), and pad se ew (good but too salty for me). Another thing to note is the complimentary rice to curry ratio is off, so slightly more rice in the bowl would be perfect. Service was friendly but unfortunately slow; we waited ~30 minutes for our food to come out. As for the vibes, we were seated outside right next to the street and half of the table didn't have any separation from the cars passing by. Overall would come back to try other dishes at an indoor seat!

I'd like to initially say that I've been to Thailand. I went to Thailand because I love Thai food! Since I've eaten real Thai food- whenever I go out to eat in the states- I prepare myself to be let down. I visited Atchana since the spot that I won't name closed at 945pm on a Saturday!!! WTHeck!!! Happy to say that I wasn't let down! The owners Thai wife was actually in the kitchen cooking! I was shocked myself! The good was good, the restaurant was nice, the staff was super nice and engaging! I'd definitely come back - I'd even bring friends!!!'

Consistently good and delicious Thai food in Coconut Grove. Great lunch specials with me normally ordering Ginger Chicken and white rice. Excellent service with comfortable indoor and outdoor dining.

I was impressed with how fresh and flavorful the pad prik khing dish was. Huge enough to share or have leftovers making it worth the $24 price point. The soup was good for what it was but nothing to rave about. I enjoyed that the tofu was firm and the noodles made it a bit more filling. I did end up adding chili oil to this. No liquor on the menu so I went for a beer. I wish there were more beverage options or a reasonably priced rose glass. The corner location was great for dining outside but the intersection with ppl speeding or taking risky turns since there isn't a stop light was a bit nerve racking. I'd probably sit inside or further down next time.

I brought in the fish I caught on a local charter fishing boat and asked them to prepare it. Take a look. YUM!!!!

Hook & Cook Cook Your Catch You Kill It, We Skillet... Whatever you call it where you're from, these folks did an AMAZING job preparing fish I caught on a local charter Fishing Headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale. Small little place, GREAT food!!!!

I went here for dinner the other day and was blown away. The food was incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor. I got the Gai Krapow and it was really well flavored with the coconut curry. The sticky rice was also incredible. Just a note; check your bill, they charged us for something we didn't get. They also charge an automatic 22% service fee for big groups!

A good spot on a fun street in coconut grove. I tried the pad see ew and it was tasty. The night I went the service was pretty slow but they did give us a heads up that it would take a while to order our food which was very nice of them. Even if you have to wait the place is nice and the waiters are friendly and you can't get bored with all the great people watching on the busy street. Overall nice option for decent Thai food. Just don't come here if you're in a rush.

Green Curry Pork

I've come here twice now and it looks like they revamped their menu from when I was first there. So far I've tried the green curry pork, gai krapow, and khao soi. The green curry pork was good. The pork wasn't over cooked and had some fatty pieces. The gai krapow was also flavorful with the basil. Absolutely loved the khao soi since I love noodles and creamy curry. The noodles had that perfectly thick squiggly chewy texture. Just know that if you don't like sweeter and creamier curries, you won't like this as much since this was definitely sweeter than the green curry. This is definitely my favorite dish here. Service was a bit lacking the first time since they messed up our check, but the second time there weren't any issues at all. I took back home leftovers and they even gave me a fresh serving of rice. Seating available indoors and outdoors, and I've been seated immediately both times. Parking can be annoying as it's street parking which can be difficult to find when it's busy. Overall the food was good, great for if you're in the area and craving Thai food.

Sautéed eggplant & tofu

Atchana has lunch specials which are served Monday - Friday from 12 PM - 3 PM. They also have an outdoor seating section which we enjoyed. I got the Sautéed Eggplant & Tofu which the menu describes as having sautéed eggplant, garlic, tofu, onions, pepper. My dish also came with carrots...lots of them. I wish there had been more eggplant than carrots! But the flavors were all there, and the lunch portion was generous.

- Cute spot on the corner of the street with outdoor seating - The Tom yum soup lacked flavour, even at a mild spice level - The pad see ew ($23) was incredibly salty but a large portion - They have a huge fish tank inside which is pretty cool - What I absolutely hated was feeling rushed during the whole meal. I was trying to catch up with friends and the waitress frequently came to ask if we needed anything else. She cleared the table even when I wanted to keep nibbling on my dish. She also brought the check even though we didn't ask for it. - It felt as though she was rushing us out even though there wasn't a line of customers waiting - Not a great experience at all and the food is average

Casual Thai spot. Made reservations but it didn't seem as if they were needed. The place was half full. A lot of heart went into the design. Also the service by Hector was outstanding. The food was pretty good for a Thai craving, but not the best I've ever had. The vegetable dumplings were OK, salad a little more sour than I'm used to, and the curry very flavorful. Generous portion sizes.

Went with my wife and daughter were sat immediately even with it being a Friday night. Nice outside area with people watching. Food was very good heat levels are there if you ask for it. Food was delicious and portions were sizable for the cost, will come back.

Then there's the other end of the spectrum -- the kind of restaurant that reminds you why sushi can feel less like dinner and more like art, hospitality, and therapy in one sitting. Uchiko Miami sits firmly in that category. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional Japanese warmth. It feels refined without being cold, stylish without trying too hard, and intimate without feeling small. Every detail seems intentional. The food was exceptional, but what elevated the night was the experience around it. The fish was clean, precise, and beautifully handled. Every bite had that rare quality where you pause for a second because you don't want to rush past it. The flavors were layered, balanced, and surprising in the best way. The service was just as memorable. The staff were welcoming from the start, and my server turned the evening into something personal. I ordered what I came for, but kept being gifted thoughtful additions that made the meal feel curated rather than transactional. It is rare to feel both spoiled and completely at ease, but that is exactly what happened. Uchiko did not just satisfy a sushi craving. It reset the bar. This was one of those meals where you leave already thinking about when you can come back.

My wife and I arrived at 6:15 PM for happy hour, but our server didn't come to the table for about 10 minutes. When they finally arrived, we were told happy hour was over and we could not order any happy hour items. I spoke with the manager and explained that we had arrived before the cutoff and only missed it because nobody came to our table. While I understand having rules, I was surprised they wouldn't even honor a happy hour drink for my wife and me given the circumstances. The issue wasn't the discount--it was the lack of flexibility and customer service. After being told there was nothing they could do, we decided to leave. Still a great restaurant with excellent food, but this was a disappointing experience.

Being new to the area, I love the experience of trying new places each time I go out. I could not…read morefollow that rule with Kuffo though...this restaurant is simply too good to not return again and again. The restaurant is named after the owner's grandma. How can anybody not appreciate a guy that loves his grandma? But there is more to Fernando than just that. He actually sums it up on his website when he writes, "cooking is my passion my real joy comes from making my guests happy." Having been there a few times now, I have grown certain that these are not just words. This sentiment comes from the heart and is evident in not just the amazing food, the attentive service, and the beautiful decor but also in the personal attention he shows every customer. It is not just business to him, it is personal. The food here is spectacular. So far I have tried a bento box which included miso soup, chicken padthai, and sashimi. The combination of flavors, the freshness of the fish, and the presentation were outstanding. I believe the dashi base for the soup must be made from scratch because the soup is so flavorful but, if not, I must find out where he gets it. The fish is nicely portioned and of a high quality. The padthai is not overly sweet like at so many restaurants which allows you to enjoy the perfect balance of savory ingredients including the perfectly cooked noodles. The portion is generous...enough to take some home. I have also had the Mongolian Chicken and the Ginger Glazed Salmon. Each of these were excellent, again sharing that perfect balance of flavors. I would call each of these dishes memorable. The only appetizer I have tried is the gyoza. It was outstanding. I like them fried but not oily, crispy on one side, with moist and not over-seasoned filling. These surpassed my expectations. The word perfect comes to mind. The only reason I have not tried any other appetizers is because the main courses are so generous. For the same reason I have yet to try dessert. I have also not tried any of the side dishes. Strangely, I have ordered sweet plantains twice, but for some reason, they were not served to me either time so I cannot comment on them. The experience was so good that is strange omission did not distract from the experience of the meal. The services is simply outstanding, the food is great and the vibe of the restaurant just creates a wonderful dynamic experience. But again what puts it over the top is the personal intention of the owner who treats us like we are his most valuable customer ever every time we walk in. And we will walk in. Often. kuffo is that good!

Not only was the food outstanding at Kuffo, but the service was also exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant's cozy and cute ambiance added to the overall charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a nice chill dinner or lunch.

What surprised me was the excellent service, from start to finish. I arrived early and had a drink at the bar, served by a gorgeous, knowledgeable and polite bartender. Beautiful people dressed to the nines, a few couples and a few who were obviously tourists. Great start! The highlights included the dumplings, truffle fries and Snapper. I am a French fry purist, but these changed my mind! I would skip the tuna with caviar over rice appetizer. This one hurt as it was highly recommended by our server. The proportion is just wrong. The mushrooms as a main side were also rather pedestrian. I know we had multiple desserts, but I can't remember them. A big plus for me is that we were rooftop, but it is fully enclosed.
