The service was okay and one of our water had a black spec in there. The vindaloo wasn't spicy at all and lacked flavor but the korma was delicious!! It's a good place for a quick meal.

We had been here on a weekend for lunch en route to Austin. This Indian restaurant was very nice, spacious with lots of parking space. The taste was delicious and the service was nice. The naan was especially good.

Asiana is a respectable option if one is seeking fresh Indian food in South Austin. Every time we've gone it seems like the dining room was mostly empty, but several people came in and out to pick up their to-go orders. To be fair, every time we visited, it was after lunch time and before dinner time, usually mid-afternoon, so that could explain why there were so few diners. The food though is good and prices are fair. I remember particularly liking their lunch time thali plate which features many of their specialties. It's a great way to sample a new place and their offerings without breaking the bank. Their curries are good and the service was quick and polite. The place has been clean every time we visited. Portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers. Nothing negative to report! I recommend it if you're in the area. This is an Indian place that won't disappoint.

My wife and I ordered from Asiana and honestly this was terrible. The garlic naan was completely flat, soaked in oil, and had zero flavor. My chicken tikka masala came with maybe five tiny pieces of chicken for almost eighteen dollars. The sauce was watery, had no taste at all, and the rice just drowned in it. I've had Indian food all over and never had sauce this bad. They even messed up the spice levels, made the butter chicken medium and the tikka masala mild when I ordered the opposite. I was so disappointed. The only decent thing was that the food arrived warm, but that doesn't make up for how bad everything else was. I don't recommend this place.

Sometimes when you walk into a restaurant that serves a cuisine you're not used to, the waiter makes you feel dumb. This was NOT the case here. When I admitted I wasn't well versed on the food, the waiter asked me a few questions about what kind of meat I liked, what heat level I would enjoy and took the time to explain the sides. It was as educational as it was delicious. I ended up choosing chicken as my protein and asked the waiter to bring me what he would order... and at a spice level that wasn't trying to kill me. And it was extremely delicious. Next time I'll add a little more heat... as I think he went a little easy on me.

Do they still have the buffet on Saturdays? What is the price?

    Open on Christmas by chance?

Yes, we are open from 11.00 Am to 10.00 Pm.

Have you brought back the buffet on weekdays? I miss discovering new dishes. Haven't been back since the before the pandemic.

No they have not. However, I recommend their combination meal dinners for two as it is like a mini buffet. While says two people, my partner and I always have enough leftovers for a good size lunch the next day.

Is this place serve halal meat?

Hi! Do y'all have buffet in Sundays? If so, what time is the buffet on Sunday? Will y'all have buffet tomorrow?

They do typically have the buffet on Sundays, Saturdays too, it starts/ opens at noon and I think it goes until 3, but know it definitely goes until 2pm. Enjoy!

Started with the Garlic Naan. Heard it was pretty good and I definitely agree. Not only was the bread hot with crispy edges, the flavor of the garlic wasn't too strong but definitely evident and tasty. The Garlic Naan at the south location tasted a tad strange and wasn't as flavorful as the one in the north location, but that may just be an anomaly. My entree was the Dhaba Mutton Curry. You can't say no to bone-in goat. I try to eat different things at restaurants, but after loving it the first time, I had to get it again. The bone-in goat meat is truly tender with occasional pieces of fat. You can really separate the pieces with a spoon. The curry sauce is delicious with just the right consistency to bind with the rice. This dish opened my eyes to the world of goat meat. Seriously. So good. The entree also came with saag paneer (similar to creamed spinach). I don't often rant about vegetables, but this stuff is super delicious. Mix it in with the rice or just eat it by itself, I just can't have enough of it. Can we get endless refills on this? I wanted to ask our waiter, but wimped out. There is an issue with their service though. In the south Austin location, there were only 4 tables with customers, including mine. However, the service was especially slow, specifically after the meal. After showing the waiter our voucher, he put it back down on the table and left. 15 minutes would then go by until they took our voucher again and returned with our check. That's 15 minutes of my party and me aimlessly chatting and glancing around the restaurant. In a near-empty restaurant, speed of service was the last thing I expected to encounter. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and our water glasses were always full.

The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the Indian music playing in the background creates a calm, authentic dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate your preferences. I've enjoyed everything from the saag paneer, salmon, and a variety of curries to the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Every dish has been rich, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. The butter chicken is especially smooth and comforting, while the chicken tikka masala is packed with bold, well-balanced flavor. If you're someone who loves spicy food, they don't hold back! I usually order spice level 5, and trust me--it brings the heat, so order accordingly! I need to come back and take updated photos because it's been a while, but if I still lived on the south side, this would absolutely still be one of my regular restaurants. Highly recommended!

I shall gate keep no longer and let everyone in on not only what/where my number one fav Indian joint is but why. So let's go! It's a food truck. Yup, a food truck off E. 6th in downtown Austin TX pumping out the Indian food of my dreams. Confession Session: I have never personally visited said food truck or been to this location. But every single visit to ATX includes me ordering Madras Dhaba delivery to my hotel. Turn around time has always been rather quick and accurate. So what are my go-to orders? They are their delish and slightly spicy two piece samosa, their paratha, and saag paneer. This place has odd hours, apparently closed on Wed, and I typically will order on Thurs nights. I have found that their menu offerings can vary depending on when you're ordering. On a Tues they didn't have Saag Panner on the menu so I opted for Panner Tiki Masala, still delish but not as good as that Saag Panner. Also their rice is S O good! I've recently found myself also ordering their Panner Tikka Tacos and yes...those have now become an absolute staple that I feel inclined to include in every order. Don't you judge me. I have also had their Veg Biriyani and was satisfied with that as well. TBH I have legit never been disappointed with anything I have had from Madras Dhaba. The flavors, the portions, the price. They all come together and create what I have previously described as my fav Indian joint. Will I end up visiting in person, I would hazard a guess and say yes, some day I will actually eat at the food truck. But until then, you can find me ordering delivery from them and having way too much food that is way too good to be as cheap as it is at my hotel. That's it. That's the review.
