My car was hit in Rockville and MCPD called Asikin to respond. He showed up promptly and was able to get my car on the tow truck, but when I had to go to the lot to get my belongings, the nightmare began. My car was damaged further from the tow. There was new damage that was not from the accident. The windows were left down so the car was wet and filthy. Additionally, there was trash inside my vehicle that did not belong to me. The vehicle was considered totaled so I guess it's moot, but the value of my vehicle from the insurance company was low due to "prior damage" (the damages from the tow). I had to submit photos to the insurance company from the night of the accident to prove the damage was not there prior to the accident. Additionally, in Maryland, license plates need to be returned before insurance and title can be refunded. I asked Asikin if I could come get my tags and he said he would remove for me. Turns out, he did not remove the tags and released my vehicle to insurance so now my car and attached tags are in the ether. As of today, which is more than a month after the accident, I still have not located my tags. Asikin has not assisted me in any efforts to track down my vehicle and the only explanation I was offered was "I forgot." read more

Efficient in order to shorten the cut of flow of traffic. Towed my parents' car years ago. And most recently towed my lowered car when the alternator gave out. It looked tedious to do with it being so low, but did the job most companies wouldn't. read more

The drive belt in my engine that operates the alternator broke in front of my house and I needed a tow to my mechanic's shop ~ 10 miles away. Mr. Asikin, the owner, showed up promptly at noon as promised and drove the car and me from Bethesda to Rockville. We had a pleasant chat on the way and I learned lots about him and his business. He has been doing this for many years and treated my car and me well. Even drove me back home afterward as his next job was near my house. Reasonable market price. He had trouble getting a proper wireless signal to process my credit card payment upon dropping me off. He gave up after a couple tries and trusted me to drop a check in the mail, which I did several hours later. Getting towed is not a service you look forward to purchasing. Had to call at 10:30 at night when my car lost power on the way home from work. The gentleman (Mr.Asikin himself?) was very helpful and friendly on the phone. I had no road signs to tell me where I was and he was very patient with me while I searched on my phone to figure it out. He was only a few miles away and it seemed to take longer for him to get out to me than I thought it would but he was very professional and his rate was very reasonable. These guys will get your car on their flat bed no problem! My 2008 BMW 335xi had a tire ripped from the rim and I called Asikin Towing. They came by in a fair amount of time, my car got on the bed no problem even though it had coilovers making it slightly lower. The driver took his time making sure that my car wouldn't get scraped or damaged in the slightest bit, he had wooden blocks ready at hand just in case my car needed more height for the bed. read more

As a result of a referral from the Shell gas station on Democracy Boulevard (adjacent to the Westfield Mall), a service technician was sent from Asikin Towing to assist a family from Georgia whose trailer had lost a tire and had been on the side of Interstate 495 for 6 hours. No one had stopped to assist them, and in the heat of the day they were in extremis! The technician arrived within the time promised, brought all the necessary equipment to jack up what was a very heavy and overloaded trailer, and then once the trailer was road-ready he then assisted in the redistribution of the weight load to lighten the trailer contents. The Asikin representative did EVERYTHING possible to make them feel welcome and safe. This note of appreciation comes from a passerby who stopped to help the family and could not have been of much help without ASIKIN TOWING'S expert and compassionate assistance. We have Geico emergency road service. Geico tried to call about 3 towing companies while I was on the line w/ them to tow my disabled car from a low clearance (7'0") parking garage on a very secure campus to no avail. Stated I would need to find a company w/ a tow truck with low enough clearance & then call them back. Car had a starter problem (wouldn't jump w/ 3 diff. cars trying). I contacted Asikin 1st and they got right on it. He was there in amazingly quick time considering rigorous campus security process (which it didn't hurt he was familiar with). Before driver pulled his truck into the garage he checked battery (which was fully charged). Determined it was the starter but had no access to it w/out proper tools on my model car. After MY trying to start about 150 times and the 3 jump attempts he cranked the ignition rapid fire about 20x and it fired up. He finished up the transaction post haste. Had a terrible experience with this tow company. Towed my car from new (ish) fed ex location in Bethesda at 7010 Wisconsin - don't park there past 3:30 bc it is not posted and they will tow you immediately with no visible sign unless you walk a block. Reached this Asikin guy who had taken my car ten minutes before, tells me to walk six blocks to a vacant parking lot, pay $140 cash, etc. Starting at Bradley the vacant parking lot was adjacet to NIH, over a mile away. The street number is an abandoned gas station so I call him and he tells me to go to the parking lot behind the abandoned gas station, to the back and I will find my car. There his daughter had blocked my car in with her car, waiting for me to collect cash and hand out another $60 ticket bc she also works for montgomery country supposedly, just not in uniform or with identification. Won't move her car so you can't depart until you have paid her in cash. No business card, no office, the back of an empty lot, has my car blocked in. That is just so wrong.
