This was the most unprofessional setting I have been to. Asked me for my insurance 4 times told them the name then had to pull up the app on my phone and hand it to the lady to get what my insurance will cover. Lady was going over finance and packages wanted me to pay top tier and give me a basic immediate. Nope then got upset when I asked them to give it in writing that I will get the package I asked for. I said nope not getting my work done here. Do not use them they hurd you in like cattle they do not have any bedside manners. Beware if you get your dentures here. You're told you'll get your temporary and 6 months later you're permanent. Mine either fit the roof of my mouth or the sides of my mouth, but not both. It's been a constant problem. I called to let them know I was moving and would it be a problem me getting my permanent dentures in another State. No it would not be a problem. I called Aspen in my new City and was told my temporary dentures ARE my permanent dentures and they would not reline them. My money was wasted on a set of dentures that don't fit. The business manager said my insurance is stating they will cover a procedure 100% so I went ahead with getting a crown replaced. I signed for the procedure to be completed and then got a bill for the full amount. I would have waited to get the procedure until the following year if she had provided accurate cost information. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to pay the bill all at once, and Aspen dental does not have a dental payment plan. Also, prior work on a crown did not last more than a year and they won't honor any kind of a warranty. After he left, I asked to speak to the office manager. When she finally did speak with me, she was a stand offish 20 something. I asked her why they let people in their dental office wearing guns on their hips, she said, WITH A SMIRK ON HER FACE "it is the state law, they have that right", OK, so I simply remarked, "well, you won't be laughing when some nut job comes in here some day and shoots the place up", simple NON threatening remark that most people I know would see as no big deal. She immediately told me that I needed to leave. I said, "are you serious, for what", and she immediately said she was calling the police. I woke up this morning excited to get some dental work done after over 10 years of not having coverage. I specifically need partial dentures, and I have 3,000 that needs to be used before I lose the coverage. THANK YOU, ASPEN, FOR LETTING AN UNQUALIFIED OVER REACTING MANAGER TO RUIN MY DAY AND "SMILE". I had been going to Aspen only a few short months. I had a question regarding a bill, I could not reach someone on the customer service line so I called the office. The office manager was very rude and did not listen to my concern. I had documents regarding payments etc. Instead she said she would adjust the bill, but I needed to find a new provider and hung up on me. I called the complaint line they said they would get the reginal manager involved. A week later the reginal manager called me and defended the office. No apology, no lets find a different office, lets look over the issue she did nothing but state this is how her "team was coached" which is obvious to me now. When reading the notes she told me that the dentist had made this determination along with the office staff. The regional manager stated that I had used profanity and harsh language? I guess she had to put something in the chart to make it look like it was justified. I have never in my life been treated this way by a company. I highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Very unprofessional and inattentive to their patients. The dentists do the laziest and sloppiest work they can get away with while charging to quality rates. they overbill all the time and your lucky to get any reimbursement back. the front desk staff are so incompetent and office managers at both Bristol and Johnson City and Greeneville are all rude and unprofessional. if your desperate for extractions due to pain this place would be better than none but otherwise I would highly suggest going anywhere but here unless u just can't help it. read more

I rarely write reviews, but when I do I feel it is dire that consumers know what they are paying for. I recently changed my insurance and decided to go to this facility. I had to requrest to get off work early in order to got my Xrays. I got them two weeks prior to my most recent appointment and was looking forward to get my chipped tooth fixed. I got off work early again, drove an hour from Marion arrived on time to my 6:00 appointment to a full waiting room. I patiently waited. A woman in the room with me was getting upset because it was now 6:45 and she had been waiting till 5:15! I sat and no one acknowledge that I had been waiting for over a hour and no one felt the need to update me as to what was going on. Finally at 7:10, the woman at the front desk asked me come into her office. The woman said to me "I am sorry the dentist cant see you today, can we reschedule?" I was appalled. No explanation as to why, no heads up when I arrived he was running late. They kept me completely in the dark, wasted three hours of my time, simply to ask can we reschedule? They could not fit in my cleaning or filling. There was no respect for the customer or the customer's time. No offer of any sort of compensation and no Accountability. Like at least throw a girl some toothpaste?! I am a pharmacist, so I understand when I have to make a patient wait; sometimes it isnt in my hands. But the least I can do is tell the customer why? Tell them initially how long the wait will be. Keep them informed. Respect the patient and their time. All that time, driving, requests to get off work simply to get no service what so ever. Although they are very personable, I was not happy with their consultation. I went in for an appointment to discuss a full set of dentures as I'm having problems with my teeth and my elder years. After letting them know that I am on a below poverty line income, they did their very best to urge me to the most expensive and the most maintenance needed plan, as in come back every 4 months and spend a few thousand dollars. They printed out a very nice she prices explaining that very nice service, with the initial cost of more than $5,000 and yet they neglected the price dentures. After coming home and doing research on the cost of dentures I certainly understand now why they did not want me to have a full set of dentures! Dentures are less expensive and require very little to no maintenance, now where is the money in at for them? The dentist was extremely rude. Not sure if he was just having a bad day or is just one of those stuck up people who don't want to explain anything. I would give ZERO stars if l could. I tried to talk to him about different options but he wouldn't even consider it, & didn't even go over with me any other option than what he wanted. When he walked in the room I got this feeling like it was a pain in his ass he even had to be there. He wouldn't even speak to me unless he absolutely had to do so. I've been struggling since l left. If it were not for the fact that I've already paid in full with cash l would absolutely go somewhere else. Very disappointed, very angry that my suggestions weren't even talked about. My mother had an appointment here today, and after signing in; she was ignored for two hours. TWO HOURS!!! She finally asked the receptionist about the wait, and was told that because she didn't "confirm" (even though she did confirm the appointment via telephone on Monday) the appointment was cancelled. Gross misconduct, poor treatment. I called Aspen Dental on March 1, 2021 and said I needed a filling done. Aspen Dental said I could come in the next day, March 2, 2021 @ 3 pm for a filling. When I arrived, they gave me a statement for around $1,500! They said I have to pay right now. I asked them what this was for and they said it was for a bridge for me. I explained to them that the previous day I called for a filling appointment. There was never any mention of a bridge. It was not even discussed. The lady said they can only do a bridge and nothing else. She sent me to their manager. The manager told me she can't let me get a filling or she would lose her job. She said the only thing I can do today is a bridge. I left Aspen Dental without any cared at all. I will not return. read more

The gentleman who took my X-rays was so friendly and helpful that the long wait for my appointment was overlooked. The dentist, Dr. Parker, not only explained things well but also offered cost-cutting possibilities since I no longer have dental insurance. The people in this office, at least the front office are beyond rude and disrespectfu, let alone, stupid. On Tuesday, 11-15-22, my wife went to the Aspen Dental on Volunteer Parkway In Bristol, TN. Upon entering, she was told she would be seen on a first come, first served basis. Having been the first ones there that morning, we opted to stay. Because of her terrible dental insurance, she had no other options. A while later, another patient entered and was called to the front, almost immediately after arriving. The front office told her they had a 1 o'clock available and gave this walk in patient the appointment. My wife then went up to the front, (by this time we had already waited two hours) and inquired as to why the lady who got there after us had received an appointment? The one at the front desk said she was sorry and that people are given appointments based on a first come, first served basis. She the told my wife that there was a 2 o'clock appointment available, only to be told that someone had just taken it. I then approached the person at the front desk and asked her what was going on? Right away, this person got an attitude with me and told me the same thing. Becoming angry, I insisted that she be taken back and seem right away, as she was in quite severe pain. At that point she told me not to tell her what to do. I then raised my voice when another person came up and the first person, (black female with rings in her nose), very unprofessional by the way said, "you can leave." Extremely pissed off at their attitudes, on my way out, I threw an extremely lethal empty cough drop wrapper at them. Everyone of these people need to be fired for the way they treat patients. Such a terribly unprofessional office and a complaint was alss as I filed with the Aspen Dental corporate offices. My wife's tooth remains untreated and she even took a day off of work. read more

Don't believe the commercials or online pricing. They tried to charge me 1200$ for a procedure that would at its most extreme would cost no more than 375$ from a regular dentist and it wasn't even the procedure I went in for. By the time my total experience was over I ended up having nothing done I went in for because I didn't feel comfortable after they tried to fleece me and wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. I should have had an idea how it was going to go before I made t out of the waiting room (which my wait was over 45 minutes from my appointment time which I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed with my paper work already filled out) the other patients all looked like some kind of post apocalyptic movie cast and I wasn't all that comfortable being treated in the same place as them. It appeared clean but didn't have the clean feel a dental office should. Will not be back I went to a regular dentist in Asheville with no issues and no trying to overcharge or take advantage and I feel I had a much more thorough examination, treatment, and treatment plan. read more

Giving them one star because I have to give at least that. DO NOT get dental care here. We took our little girls for treatment. They did not tell me that they do not do dental work on kids, but they let me make the appointment, bring her in and cleaned her teeth. Then they told me they cannot do dental work (she was needing braces). So, I was upset that they did this, but figured no big deal because our insurance covered the cleaning anyways. Exactly a year and 5 months later, I received a bill for the teeth cleaning. So, I called their office and was told that it was not their job to file insurance. If this is the case, why was it not disclosed to me at that time? Their office staff is a joke and if you will look at the BBB complaints, you will see that they are a shady business that needs to be shut down. I told her that if she turns this over to collections, that I would file a complaint with the BBB and anywhere else that I could. So, I got the collections bill today and starting to fight this to the very end. This review is where I am starting, but have much more to do now. My wife had some fillings replaced and our dental insurance company refused to pay for one filling. After checking with the dental insurance, they do not cover fillings that had been replaced less than two years previously. They said ASPEN should know that and not have charged for that filling. ASPEN said it is the customers responsibility to know and we have to pay full retail (not the insurance rate). We said goodbye to ASPEN dental! read more

Terrible experience!!! My wife had a chipped tooth and she went way out of her way to find a dentist that would see her on short notice. She was told that the tooth would be fixed during her appointment. However, upon showing up for her appointment and having x-rays taken, she was dismissed and told that she would have to come back at a later date to have it fixed. Throughout, the dentist was very rude. Then, after another 40 mile drive to and from the office, my wife had her tooth fixed (by a different yet just as rude doctor). And now, one month later, the repair has fallen off and the tooth is again chipped. read more

Went in for a specific issue and instead of fixing that issue they sent me to the office manager who printed out a 2 page list of work they wanted to do and put a FINANCING AGREEMENT in front of me. I was appalled that all they were interested in doing was ripping off me and my insurance company. All the procedures needed to be paid for in advance and the customer service was horrific. Lots more interested in getting money from customers than taking care of customers. The dentist I saw for 5 minutes recommended a procedure and honest to God bristled when I asked him why. If you are thinking about going to this place, RUN AWAY as fast as you can, they are horrible. I do not recommenced this place for anyone. I called them because they say they are there for emergency needs , I broke a tooth, Called the emergency number only to get a recording that says I need to call back on Monday at 8 am , so waited til 8 am and called then number , they couldn't get me in to see someone til the next day at 9 45 am so I took that appointment went in and did they paper work, when they called me they took xrays and then went to see dentist , Told him what my problem was and he said okay will fix that today and he explained to me that it would need a cap and to get the cap back would take about 2 weeks but they would fix it with a temporary that would work til they got mine in. Said good. Then he went out and this other woman came in and looked at my teeth and then she said no we have to do this other procedure first, which she described it as ripping the gum off the tooth and cleaning under it that it will take 6 weeks to do this and for it to heal. Then they would have to schedule me for a cleaning after that then they could schedule me to get my broken tooth fixed. Which would be about 5 or 6 months. If you have ever broken a tooth you don't want to wait a day let alone 5 or 6 months. So they did absolutely nothing for me, Just wasted my time and keeping me in pain. So I would NOT recommend this place for a dead animal let alone a human. When I questioned everything, the dentist there said one thing and this woman said another , So I didn't know what or who to believe. I had a scheduled appointment but yet had to wait 45 minutes before my actually appointment began. This was not out of the ordinary so I was not angry at this point. I then spent the next 2 hours having x-rays completed, talking with the dental hygienist and then the dentist. I explained to everyone that I was there for one reason and that was because I had a tooth that was chipped and it caused there to be a jagged piece that was then cutting into my tongue. After speaking with everyone, I was then sent to the office person that discussed with me my treatment plan and the cost. They wanted to charge my almost $2000 for everything and when I explained that this was not within my budget, the office person then took things off the treatment plan and then stated that my visit was done! I asked about why my tooth was not going to be fixed today and she sorry, that is for the next visit. So, I spent 3 hours and did not even get my tooth fixed! I would not recommend this place to anyone. They only seemed concerned about what they could charge me and not actually helping me! read more

This was the worst dental experience I've ever had. When making the appointment As a new patient I was very clear that I only wanted an appointment where they could do the initial consultation and cleaning in the same day. I spoke to two separate people to ensure this was the case because I was driving an hour and a half for this appointment. I get there 10 minutes early and wait 30 minutes before being called back. They took close to twice as many X-rays because they kept messing up the positioning of the mouth piece. When it was time to go to the room I was asked to wait again because it was never cleaned from the previous patient. After meeting with the dentist I was told to meet with the office manager who told me the only time they could do a cleaning was at 5:15, my appointment was at 10:10 in the morning. Since I drove all that way I agreed to wait in a nearby coffee shop all day till my appointment. Then 30 minutes before my new appointment they called to tell me they no longer can do it and that I need to reschedule. Also be aware that they are eager to push products on you for symptoms you don't have. So check your bill carefully because they will already have them added in. And if the hygienist has you sign forms for a cancer screening and tells you it's covered by your insurance, first check with the office manager because apparently it's not. read more
