Several issues. 1…read more Insurance was not verified prior to appointment (I'm partly to blame - I've been with the same dentist for 30 years and didn't know proper procedure). The hygienist told me things would be covered, that simply were not. Come to find out the dentistry is not in my network. I now have a bill of $400 for a teeth cleaning and x-rays. No adjustments from them - no negotiations, but they do offer a payment plan. :) 2. They offer a free whitening for new patients. Essentially they put three rounds of gel whitener on your teeth in an hour and half long appointment. It's a stronger strength than what you would get for home but it is not a true whitening treatment. My teeth are no whiter than they were before. VERY disappointing. 3. The building wasn't in good condition and very out dated. The elevator got stuck upon my first arrival. The room I was in for the cleaning had black dust on the AC vent that you look at when laid back in the chair. The ceiling tiles are old and dingy. The floors were dirty as well as the baseboards near the floor. The only reason I went back to the office was for the free cleaning (at that point I hadn't seen the $400 bill). 4. I needed a little bonding on my front tooth, very small area. The pricing was expensive (the dentist I had been going to for 30 years would do it at no costs to build and keep relationships). I ended up asking to just had a small area sanded so we didn't have to keep worrying about the bonding. First thing from the dentist, "that will cost you". No other questions, no other options offered. That was her only comment. 5. It seemed that everyone was trying to sell something. I've already booked my 6 months cleaning at my old dentist. They are wonderful and the ONLY reason I went to a new dentistry was to be closer to home.

I found Allisonville Dental Center through an online search and using my insurance company's website. My first appointment was in July 2022 and things were fine for the first couple things I had scheduled. The problems started when I was told I needed a crown in February 2023. I paid a reservation fee on this date to secure my appointment and was told the amount I paid would go towards the full payment for my crown. Fast forward to September 2023, and I had yet to have the crown delivered. Every appointment, which lasted about an hour, I was told the crown didn't fit properly and needed to be sent back to the lab. I went to their office a total of 8 times just for this one crown, for it never to be delivered. I ended up having to go to another dentist who was able to get me in, evaluate the crown prep that had been done, make some adjustments, and get the crown delivered all within a 2 week period. I had to make several calls to Allisonville Dental Center in order to receive the refund I was due for a service they didn't provide. The communication between the front office staff and the doctors was non-existent when it came to receiving my refund. Also make sure to pay attention to what you are charged, and what the insurance company says is allowed to be charged as there were problems with that as well. I would recommend getting a pre-determination for any service you receive to have documentation of the proper billing amounts. I was treated and spoken to in a disrespectful manner throughout this process by their billing department and was told I was rude. I tried to give them a chance throughout this process and even be amicable when parting ways due to their failure to provide a service. However, things did not end that way due to me having to constantly request my money back, of which they were trying to undercut me of. I do not recommend going to this office.

I was referred to Doctor Matthew Davis for a tooth extraction, as this was my best option to solve my tooth issue. When I called the office, Danielle answered and was able to get me in the same day. I remember Danielle's name for the kindness and helpfulness she provided me during my call, especially knowing she scheduled me for the day of my call, and therefore I knew my pain would finally be gone. Simone (sp?) was Dr. Davis assistant. Simone was personable and knowledgeable which puts you at ease. When Dr. Davis entered the room, likewise Dr. Davis was personable, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job of educating me on my procedure. Numbing process was perfect as did not feel a thing during the numbing, and most importantly did not feel any pain during my tooth extraction. Watching and observing how Dr. Davis and his assistants work together was such a perfect display of teamwork. I commented immediately after my tooth was extracted, the team is like a well-oiled machine. No pain during or after the procedure. I commented to my wife, best day ever when I got home. We went in thinking we would only get a consultation and to our surprise they looked at the tooth, took an extra, explained in detail what was going on in my daughter's mouth and set her up to have that painful tooth extracted that day. I think the whole ordeal last less then 3 hours from our time there to the time we left. I loved how detailed their explanation was. The doctor was excellent and so was the dental hygienist that worked with him...she was excellent. I would love to go back to them to get the rest of her wisdom teeth extracted but the new dentist wouldn't give us a referral.
