Dr. Mohrman (she introduces herself as Giannis) is the first dentist that I not only like but trust. She takes the time to explain things and her entire staff is also helpful and professional. After this many years and bad experiences, I never thought I would be recommending a dentist but this office gets a strong recommendation.

But I would not recommend seeing this place for braces! 3 years and thousands of dollars wasted -- the canine that I've been told is just stubborn and moves slow is actually fused to the bone and needs to be extracted. Said canine has also caused misalignment with my other teeth so THAT has to be fixed as well (my teeth were straight before treatment just had this canine needing to be pulled down). In three years nobody figure out that this was the problem. Even with x rays. I saw the new ortho who in ONE appointment determined the issue, was hands on, explained everything in a way I could understand in ways that never happened with Winding Ridge. In fact I think I may have heard the doctor's voice one time! Now that I am getting proper care I will have this fixed in 2 years. But now I have to start the process of paying for braces again! Beware the cheaper price is not worth the hassle! I rarely give low reviews on here this was earned!

I chose that place because of the super friendly staff and upbeat personalities of the workers, including the dentist. Fast forward to 2019, and all of the things that impressed me 2 years ago are not the same. There are so many things that are wrong with this place. So this dentist did a filling for me about 3 months ago and it wasn't pleasant but it wasn't terrible either so I just thought they were having a bad day, and so I didn't make much of it. Well, earlier this week I bit into a piece of sausage and one of the hard chunks that they sometimes have. It hurt really bad and ever since I have had really bad sensitivity to hot & cold items, even room temperature water irritated it, so i knew there was a connection and probably needed to go get it checked. So, I had an appointment this morning, walked in the front door, and no one was at the front desk. No big deal right? Well, there was no bell to ring, and I was standing there for 25 minutes and the entire time no one came to the front desk or acknowledged me. So, finally TWENTY minutes after my appointment time, someone finally comes out. So, I am expecting an apology for the wait, but nope, she just tells me to come to the back and tells me to sit down. She takes an X-ray and doesn't seem to know what she is doing, and keeps having to re-do the X-ray. Finally the dentist comes and I am thinking "Finally, maybe things will be better now" but nope. No greeting, no "How Are You?", nothing. He asks where it hurt, and I mentioned that they did my filling a few months ago and he says "Ummm, No we haven't seen you since 2017" It turns out they spelled my name wrong AGAIN and had to search my records by spelling it differently. He corrected himself and checked out my teeth by blowing air into the affected tooth, even though I told him I wasn't sure if any damage was done to my top tooth as well. He literally ignored all my other teeth and when it did hurt from the air, he just kept proceeding to say that "Oh, I don't see anything wrong...." So he quickly gave me a prescription for a fluoride toothpaste and said "if it still gives you issues in a few weeks come back and we will redo the filling". At that point I knew I was never coming back to this dentist again. He made me feel as if I was wasting his time by even coming in there. They also never answer the phone, forget to follow up when you inquire about a dental service, and ignore minor issues that are obvious with your teeth. It is as if they are lazy and don't want to do anything that can't be clearly seen on an X-ray - or at least make an effort to figure out the problem. Please don't waste any money or time on this place. I will never go back there again.

I have always hated going to the dentist, but since I have been connected with Dr. Arive, that has gone away. He is always gentle, thoughtful, and kind in every verbal exchange and while he is working on my teeth. I encountered a number of temporary office staff who were definitely lacking in skill and dedication. No one in the office ever introduced themselves or wore a name tag so It was difficult to determine who they were and what their role was in the office. For some reason even though I have dental insurance, very little of the work done was covered even though this had not been the case with my previous dentist. Patients were charged a whopping $20 PPE charge per visit on top of already very expensive dental charges. Dr Arive was probably a satisfactory dentist but the office was run so poorly I sought dental care elsewhere.

They are very hard to get a hold of and dont answer their phone. I just called to tell the dentist about how I was treated by Katie and no one is picking up their phone. If you want to be laughed at, hung up on, and have an overall bad experience make sure to ask for Katie. They have really high turnover. I never have the same dental hygienist. Watch out they are also pushing Invisalign. I have perfectly straight teeth and was given a presentation about Invisalign last time I was there that really put me off. I felt like they were selling me stuff instead of caring about my medical concerns. It's a shame how downhill this place has gone. UPDATE: It is so insulting that Sunnyside Dental Care did not even read my review. Why would I call you when you don't answer the phone and I get insulted when Katie does answer??????
