Several issues. 1. Insurance was not verified prior to appointment (I'm partly to blame - I've been with the same dentist for 30 years and didn't know proper procedure). The hygienist told me things would be covered, that simply were not. Come to find out the dentistry is not in my network. I now have a bill of $400 for a teeth cleaning and x-rays. No adjustments from them - no negotiations, but they do offer a payment plan. :) 2. They offer a free whitening for new patients. Essentially they put three rounds of gel whitener on your teeth in an hour and half long appointment. It's a stronger strength than what you would get for home but it is not a true whitening treatment. My teeth are no whiter than they were before. VERY disappointing. 3. The building wasn't in good condition and very out dated. The elevator got stuck upon my first arrival. The room I was in for the cleaning had black dust on the AC vent that you look at when laid back in the chair. The ceiling tiles are old and dingy. The floors were dirty as well as the baseboards near the floor. The only reason I went back to the office was for the free cleaning (at that point I hadn't seen the $400 bill). 4. I needed a little bonding on my front tooth, very small area. The pricing was expensive (the dentist I had been going to for 30 years would do it at no costs to build and keep relationships). I ended up asking to just had a small area sanded so we didn't have to keep worrying about the bonding. First thing from the dentist, "that will cost you". No other questions, no other options offered. That was her only comment. 5. It seemed that everyone was trying to sell something. I've already booked my 6 months cleaning at my old dentist. They are wonderful and the ONLY reason I went to a new dentistry was to be closer to home. read more

This review is based on my husbands experience. He has yet to officially get his work done but we are very surprised and definitely confused as to why a dentist would have you pay for services when the appointment is BOOKED! Paying when you arrive for your appointment is one thing and definitely expected, but they wouldn't even allow my husband to book an appointment without paying for what was left after insurance. I have just never heard of anything like that. When he got his initial exam, he was happy with the customer service and overall feel so that is why I gave them two stars. Doctors Greenaway and Wright are wonderful and my husband, mom and I have appreciated our hygienists at Fall Creek Dentistry. THE LOW RATING IS DUE TO THEIR EXTREMELY UNUSUAL BUSINESS PRACTICES REGARDING PAYMENT. My family has lived in several states, has always chosen highly qualified health professionals for our care and remained loyal to that professional until we moved out of town. In all that time NEVER have we heard of a dentist office demanding payment of the patient's portion of costs at the time of scheduling an appointment. It is an absurd requirement. To make matters worse the office manager made it clear that this was indeed their protocol and we as a family could go elsewhere for our dental services if we didn't want to do it that way. Again absurd and horrible customer relation skills. I've talked with so many people in recent months asking them if this was a situation unique to Indiana as we had recently moved here but NO ONE has heard of a dental practice like this. To top off our concerns about the business practices of this dental office is that shortly after my husband and I were seen for our first cleaning and checkups, we received a letter that they had checked into our insurance benefits and they wanted to let us know how much insurance money was available to spend before the end of the year if we wanted anything done. I was appalled. Again never have I had any dental practice behave in this manner, fishing into our insurance details to so boldly sell their services. Very disappointing as we liked everything but their back office practices and will probably have to transfer our records to another dentist because no one with common sense pays a dentist when scheduling the appointment! read more

Don't EVER go here. Expect them to say you need 5-13k of work. (you don't) Expect them to do work your insurance won't pay for (full X-rays that aren't due). Next they'll sick the office manager after you! "I have to report to the doctors tonight". I paid the $200 bill I didn't owe for my daughter's simple cleaning and check up (Delta Dental should pay 100% of preventative care) and we will never be back. Went in as a new patient and had no complaints or symptoms, just needed my 6 mo cleaning. Received recommendations for over $3,000 of work. I agreed to a crown 'to avoid the need for a future root canal' as it was explained to me. The Dentist who did my procedure was NOT who initially saw me and recommended, she asked why were were doing this and made contrary recommendations (or possibly my chart was incorrect as to the original recommendations). During the 3 hour crown procedure the dentist literally yelled at me more than once despite me not being able to hear her behind a mask and the noise of the equipment. I wasn't closing and grinding well enough for her - I WAS NUMB and couldn't even feel what I was doing! She had to correct the assistant multiple times and there was an obvious disconnect b/t the two of them. Again, I was yelled at "don't let it get wet that would be bad" as my mouth was filling up with saliva...didn't know if i could swallow as there were multiple pieces of gauze in my mouth and I was afraid of swallowing one...the assistant didn't regularly suction despite "it must be kept dry! don't move!" I am no dentist but i suspect it wasn't dry enough before applying the crown cuz i've had pain sensitivity and discomfort for 2 months now, can't chew on that side of my mouth. I went in 2 weeks after crown and they grinded/ground down the uneven surfaces cuz that might have been the cause of the new pain/discomfort. The dentist spent 45 minutes grinding down various teeth to get my bit surface equal and I'd swear that the crown that cost me $2000 is now half the size of what it was when they placed it. I can feel the glue/cement on that crown and other nearby teeth so some teeth always feel dirty (a crown I had placed several years ago is still very smooth and 'clean' feeling). Unfortunately, I now anticipate the need for a root canal in the future on a tooth that felt perfectly fine before i ever saw these people....I should've listened to my gut and said no thanks when i went in for a simply cleaning! read more

I had a great dental experience here, but be for warned, I have no cavities or dental work so I really only had a cleaning and X-rays. The tech was very gentle but thorough. I had a procedure done at this dental office. By that evening I was experiencing pain and left 2 messages on the after hours voicemail. I received no phone call. When I called back the following morning I was told the person responsible for returning calls was unavailable that evening. To me, this is not acceptable. I prefer to have a dental relationship with an office that will be there for me if I am experiencing issues from a procedure. The office manager indicated 'there was nothing I could have done for you anyway'. I am rating this business a 1 and will not return. read more

When it comes to selecting a dentist, I have a pretty low standard regarding their services. Namely, do what you say you are going to do, have a minimum level of courtesy, and charge fairly. After being a patient here for over a year, I can firmly say that Fall Creek Dentistry failed every one. The doctors have zero interest in treating their patients appropriately - for example, at the end of my second appointment, the doctor went "Oh, you'll need to come back. I didn't read your chart before so I didn't know we were supposed to also do X today..." I have constantly had appointments rescheduled at the last minute because the doctor won't be in (which is funny because you would think they have enough free time as it is given their extremely limited hours of availability but whatever), or arrived for an appointment only to be told that the doctor isn't actually in, so can I come back again tomorrow? The poor organization also extends to the dental assistants - as I seem to get completely conflicting information with every appointment. I also receive a random bill in the mail every couple of months for a "past due balance" only to call and be told that I shouldn't have been billed and they have "no idea" how it was sent to me. I made the mistake of signing up for a long-term treatment with these folks, so I'm stuck with them for another few months. But do yourselves a favor and stay away if you can. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with dentistry. I have had non-stop problems with an ill-fitting crown. They were unable to solve the issues and when I went to another dentist, the problem was obvious. The original crown was incorrectly fit (despite repeat visits to their office to try to rectify the issues) resulting in years and years of problems. I am now facing complete removal of the tooth and an implant. AVOID this office if you value your mouth! read more

I've not only experienced superb service and professionalism with Fall Creek Dentistry, but we had a minor emergency this past July 4th that put them in a ten star category if I could do that. Our Grandson, visiting from Kentucky with his Sister and Mom (our Daughter), fell and hit his mouth on the car mirror. He spat out what appeared to be the broken top of a molar. We put the 'tooth' in a saline solution and called my dentist, Fall Creek Dentistry. Their receptionist was on duty and said that one of the two dentist who run this practice would be in at noon, about an hour from then. We bundled the tooth, Grandson, and Mom together and rode the three miles to the Dentist's office on Brooks School Road, at Fall Creek. Upon arrival we found both Dentists there. They apologized for being in 'civies', not that it mattered at all to us. Dr. Wright, the dentist who supervises my care, had us go to a treatment room and had my Grandson settle into a chair. She put on the headlamp gear and did a thorough inspection. She almost immediately diagnosed the 'broken' tooth as a baby tooth that had been finally pushed out by a permanent molar. The clash with the mirror had only sped up the process slightly. We were all relieved! Now, my Daughter is disabled and on medicare, which Fall Creek doesn't take (I think), so I took Dr. Wright aside and asked to settle up. She said there would be no charge, in spite of her using equipment and some expendables. I have always been impressed with Dr. Wright and all of the staff, but this was the icing on the cake for me. Not only does this practice contributes to the community is many other ways, but shows a generosity not often seen in today's businesses. My spouse was one of the first clients of the practice close to fifteen years ago. I became a client shortly thereafter and have been the beneficiary of the highest quality of care. While my spouse has great teeth and requires little other than normal cleanings and exams I have a more challenging dental situation. Suffice to say I've needed significant dental care across the entire six decades of my life and I can say, without hesitation, that Dr. Wright and Dr. Greenaway deserve lots of credit for helping me to maintain health and appearance.
