The main focus at this location is generating as much revenue as they can and financing patients for procedures they don't need and scaring you into thinking you have issues that you don't . If you come here and they say you need something like a root canal, I urge you to get a second opinion ASAP!!! The cleanliness is lacking as well. This was a terrible experience from the start. They got all mixed up on my first visit. Gave me a full x-ray and new patient even though I paid for a limited. They said since they did it all, do I want to switch over? I said yes, they didn't charge me, and then when I went back to get a filling the next month that they missed, they said that they had to do it all over again because they didn't do a full even though they did. I was on hold for 20 minutes for them to even answer the phone and then 45 minutes for them to figure it out and they refused to have me go in to fill a simple filling without getting a whole new set of x-rays that they already had taken the first time. Stay clear from this location!! I can't speak for all of them but this location is horrible!! My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare!! I had my initial consult, X-rays and cleaning. I was getting 3 permanent implants on the bottom and also entire top gum (to replace my denture). I had to wait a few weeks but they put the screws for the implants on both the top and bottom. They placed the bottom teeth one at a time on different days. The absolute worst was waiting for my top implants to be placed since I couldn't wear my dentures due to the screws being put in.. i NEVER received a TEMPORARY denture that I was told is automatically included and yes I called every other day about it but some days the office was closed. If they couldn't help me they should've sent me to a different location. However I had to stay at this location until my dental implants were placed. I literally went without my entire top implants for 9 MONTHS!! Keep in mind I wasn't able to wear the denture I had because they had placed the screws in for my implants when they did the screws for the bottom three. Even then it took them a few months of me wearing them to get them to fit. To make matters worse my teeth in the top implants began falling out, . In the 2 years I've had them, i had to go in for repairs to replace the missing teeth about 6 or 7 times. The time before the last they repaired 2 teeth and the last time it was 3.To top it off they sent me a bill for over 700.00 and then one for over 500.00 it took weeks to get it straightened out. Now yet ANOTHER tooth fell out. The thought if having to deal with this AGAIN makes me sick I asked the newest manager on my last time there about the 4 year warranty that came with the implants I got the all on four and getting it replaced because I felt they were defective due to numerous teeth on the top keep falling out, they are paper thin and do NOT fit properly (meaning when I'm chewing they pop off and also make clicking sounds) but apparently that's a joke because the manager felt since they've repaired it each time it doesn't warrant a warranty replacement.They don't care about the time or the gas it takes running back and forth or the fact they leave you toothless when you drop them off sometimes. Remember I do NOT have a TEMPORARY therefore they keep the only teeth I have. I have to say the no temporary implant denture makes me feel like they stole money from me since it was part of my pre paid agreement! I'm a disabled senior on a fixed income and I will never be able to replace this defective denture, . I told the manager last time I was there about it all she did was talk at me and down to me. I told her I was going to retain an attorney she said good luck with that we have lots of attorneys so go ahead! She mocked me by saying and what they're defective because you say so?!?!? I said no because they are ill fitting, the teeth keep falling out and they are seriously paper thin. I explained what the first manager told me about the warranty saying it could be replaced and a dental assistant and the young lady that made them at which she demanded names, I told her the turn over here is high. Stay far away from Aspen dental as you can. I read other reviews saying it's bad and I thought to myself how bad can it be? It is the absolute worst. It is a complete cash grab and not a dentist office at all. It is the closest thing to robbery that you could get. The people that work for Aspen dental tell you you have every issue in the world to try to sell you all these different services that you don't need. And they don't even give you same day treatment. You have to schedule a later time to get the issues that they say you have, fixed later. They also made me sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes and I had to go and find somebody to get them to help me. She was unhelpful when I asked for explanation about my son's bill; because she overcharged for services I did not request or authorize. It really depended on the plan my benefits offered and though I keep trying other offices I always come back because their service is always awesome. I'm writing this to speak about my Tech, Loukisha W., because she has been the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable tech I've had the pleasure to work on my teeth. Her ability to make me feel like I'm sitting with family is awesome and takes away the edge when those sharp tools head toward my teeth. Don't get me wrong, everyone I've come into contact with at this location has been professional and friendly but Loukisha just seems to go above and beyond expectations. Walked out so I don't know if the dentists here are any good. Booked a 7:30 am appt for a second opinion consultation on implant removal, bone graft and replacement services that will cost dozens of thousands of dollars according to my specialist that is not covered by delta dental. Delta dental referred me here since they ARE covered, and I thought I'd love to hear what they have to say and maybe get a quote. I explained all of this , and even had my current dental records faxed. When I arrived at the office at 720am for my 7:30 appt, they had none of my info so I emailed my latest pano (from january) and my bitewings, enough to carry the conversation. This is where the wheels starting falling off. I get called back by a tech at 8am, she wants to do another pano. I asked to see the dentist first and she shamed me into doing it (a it's no charge, yadda yadda). Fine, sure, give me some more radiation. Then she wanted to do bitewings, and since I have a ton of torrid in my mouth along with a canker sore these are painful and something I was not willing to submit myself too, again, for the simple conversations I was wanting to have and the fact that I HAD THE SAME X-RAYS WITH ME. Then she said 'well we need to at least get one of the tooth that is bothering you' , At which time I wound up taking the lead apron off and telling her firmly NO - I mean , FFS, I've explained to five different people I'm here for a 2nd opinion on implant removal and bone grafts I dont have a freaking toothache. I get to the back about 8:05, where I sit till 8:30 stewing over the fact that all the work I did to prep for this appointment didn't matter, no one updated me on when I'd be seen and I'm not even sure the dentist running around was the implant specialist. I decided if they are this disrespectful on my first appointment and it was going to be an extra hour past my appointment time at least before I'm actually seen - then this dentist office isn't for me. If I had been treated better with respect then I'd have happily submitted to the X-rays But I'll be damned if I'm going to spend dozens of thousands of dollars at this business. I walked out without saying a word to anyone because I don't want to be seen as some Karen bitching - but first impressions matter. No one listened or cared what the F I was asking for where just checking the boxes. NEXT EDIT: imagine my surprise when I received a statement from Delta dental telling me that Aspen did in fact, try to charge them for the panoramic. The dental assistant that was trying to take my x-rays told me three or four times that there was no charge, and I even confirmed that they would not be trying to charge Delta dental because I need to manage my benefit throughout the year. So disappointed that I was completely lied to. Maybe they decided to charge me because I got up and left but be aware that they will still charge your insurance even though they'll tell you that they didn't/won't. This is the 1st service I have received from them in 2.5 years so I was booked as 1st time patient. X-rays went well. The technician was very nice. Once she finished all of her X-rays and 3d scans the doctor and hygienist came in. Both was ver nice and things went fast. My next 2 appointments was booked and I was given the cost for everything after insurance and discounts forge bill left for me to pay for as 1/4 of the total bill. Not bad at all. They are pretty booked up so my next appointment is in 5 weeks. I like that they have some late appointments at 4:30 or 5pm some nights. read more

they say they do not come with hidden fees they are a lie ... they boost your head up on a payment plan and a price that they don't tell you is not for the whole process it only be for what they do to you the next time they come . The doctor was horrible he kept hitting my mouth in places that wasn't pose to be hit ... or when I told him it hurt and I still felt the pain ge told me "you will be okay" never not once did he say sorry. I use this location for the fact that they have evening times for appointments. The office is very clean and organized. They are prompt in getting you in and out with your services. They are on the more expensive side when it comes to anything extra. My first visit (which I thought was free) I got charged for fluoride which surprised me because no one told me prior to the appointment that I would have a payment. I wasn't too pleased about that but I continued to go. Then I had another visit where they wanted to charge for X-rays which again was surprising because they're normally free. They said they'd push it back since I was unaware of the price. I recently went a few days ago and the X-rays were free. Not sure if my insurance that paid for it or not, but at least I didn't have to. I also learned about the Invisalign they have there. I've had braces in then past but overtime my teeth have shifted slightly(minimally). The cost is a fixed price for everyone no matter how bad your teeth are. Overall, the office is fine, but ask first for extras to prevent an unintended bill. read more

Bait and switch! Aspen dental is not a place I would suggest. I went for a consult. Very friendly and helpful up-front. I was given two proposals. I chose one for $4,200 and change. They suggested Care Credit. I applied and was approved for $6000.. I chose the least cost option, had some work done...and the rest of the story..... I was dis-satisfied with the work right away (pain) ....zero care after...I called 3 times and was told to wait for my follow-up appt 7 days away..I had an 8:00am appt, anxious to get some relief. At 9:15 , I couldnt wait any longer and was able to find a dentist that was willing to take me right away as a walk in. Once I called Aspen and explained my position..I was given the deaf-ear..I called Care Credit to contest the charges.....I discovered that they had billed CareCredit $174 dollars short of the Full $6000. I returned the dentures and contested the charges...Quoted me $4200...charged $5800+.. I think that is un-lawful. I have no dentures..a bill of over $5,800 and now I cant get financing for needed dentures.I hope CareCredit stops doing business with Aspen Dental in River City. read more

This is my dental office and everything seemed fine up until I got my wisdom teeth removed a few days ago. Dr. Milton was my oral surgeon, who seemed nice at first, but during and after the procedure is where I have a problem. He did not ask me if I was okay, NOT ONCE during the procedure. When I would try to say something or wave my hand while he was in my mouth, he did not address it. He held my left jaw open aggressively for way too long and did not try to give me a break nor ask if I needed one. It was so painful and the big knot that is in my left jaw has still not went down. He went in very urgently and it felt as if he wanted to do a rush job on me and did not care if I was uncomfortable. My biggest issue is at the end of the procedure, Dr. Milton took his gloves off, left the room, did not bother to speak a few words to me and I never saw him again. I've never had a Doctor not speak to me when their finished with a procedure. I found his bedside manner to be very insensitive and unprofessional. I cried in the car because it was very overwhelming and my Dr. did not care about my comfort level what so ever. read more

Scheduled an appointment related to a broken tooth. Aspen called me the day before to confirm the appointment. I took off work (a whole shift, since as a nurse, you cannot just leave your patients for several hours for an appt). Arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment and sat in the waiting room for 15 minutes awaiting my scheduled time. However, when they finally did call me up, it was to tell me that they couldn't see me, after scheduling the appt weeks ago, confirming it, and knowing that I had a broken tooth that needed attention. The office staff is great! I usually get called back within minutes of arriving. The staff explains everything they do. The only issue I have is that they make you pay IN ADVANCE of a service. I have never had to pay in advance for a filling!!!!!!!!! UPDATED 9/23/15 arrived for my 9am appointment only to find the office manager never put my appointment in the computer!!! I was very happy and appreciative for Aspen Dental. I incurred what I found out after xrays, a fractured tooth that was causing me IMMENSE PAIN!!! I had moved to Jax a few months and didn't have a dentist! I called Aspen Dental in dire need of help! They booked me that day and even though I was a fit in, and a long wait, they made up for lost time. After xrays and speaking to Dr. Tiernan, he told me what was needed and at that point of severe pain, I agreed the tooth needed to be extracted. I hate going to a dentist, but after seeing the xray, I agreed. Dr. Tiernan was very gentle and made sure I felt no pain during the process. His assistant Ashley held my hand thru it and put me at ease. Both of them took care with me to a professional level and even though the wait was long, I was no longer in pain after suffering for 3 days. They added a tooth to my partial denture and was ready the next day. They gave me antibiotics and made sure to go over all the steps for healing. I now can eat and smile. The entire staff was very friendly and the next day I got my partial placed and fit great. I highly recommend this office, they saved me from sooooooo much pain! Over the years, I have required a lot of dental work. I have and been treated by at least 10 diffent dentists including speciality dentist. I chose Aspen dental on Nautica drive because it was on the list that accepted my insurance. I HATE going to a dentist as I have had many bad experiences but I needed work done so I drug myself in to Aspen Dental, and I am so glad I did!! My dentist's name is Joshua. He is the MOST AMAZING dentist I have EVER been to ! His bedside manner, patience, kindess, and overall character is above and beyond that of ANY health care clinician I have ever met. I called to make an appt. took nearly 1 month of waiting my insurance said they were in network.When I called to make appt. she said they accept my insurance. I drove 1 hour in pouring rain to get there then they said they don't take my insurance,then drove 1 hour back home in pouring rain.They sent me 2 confirmation e-mails and 1 confirmation phone call plus I filled out first time visit paperwork online.
