You are warmly welcomed by the front desk personnel and I have never had much of a wait to be called back for treatment. It's not cheap;no dentist is, but the service is excellent!! Carrie is my hygienist and she just about puts me to sleep. She is extremely thorough but gentle. Dr. Phillips also offers excellent service and talks you through each procedure. The difficulties I face with severe anxiety about dentistry as a whole are often not acknowledged and tend to get worse over time. I realize that dentistry, unfortunately, is a necessary evil. Evil, you ask? Yes! Where else can you physically and financially harm someone and get away with it? The office manager blames the insurance companies for shortchanging them, while the insurance companies blame the dentist for inflated prices. If you've recently moved to the Callahan or Yulee area and you're looking for a new Dentist, my husband and I recommend Sage Dental of Callahan, a state-of-the-art dental practice. We moved to Callahan and have found that Sage Dental of Callahan has all the right personnel who answer any and all questions and make the dental experience an excellent one. Starting with Charity at the front desk, to Carrie the dental hygienist and Karla and Sarah dental assistants to Dr. Robert Friedman. On my first visit, I met a Dental Assistant, Sara, who listened patiently to my saga with a problem tooth, and she answered all of my questions and was very caring. I could tell she is very experienced and knew her stuff. Sara explained that she will use a handheld device (new to me) to take 3-D photos of every tooth of my mouth and that the 3-D Dental Technology provides Dr. Friedman with much more information than what they could get using X-rays! Sara did an exceptional job and after the 3-D photo shoot (LOL), Dr. Friedman came in and reviewed the images and explained that the 3-D technology photo indicates that an old crown was cracked and needed to be replaced. Dr. Friedman clearly explained the reasoning to remove the cracked crown and the condition of the tooth base (abutment) and there was no decay present. He further explained that the 3-D photo indicates that the tooth's natural material is above the gumline and there would be no need to do a core build-up to ensure the tooth's stability and prevent further decay. He provided excellent service, and my husband and I will be coming here for all our future dental needs! Everyone is so nice and friendly, and the office is comfortable and welcoming, clean and nice decor and very professional office and very little wait. All equipment is modern and high-tech. If you have an appointment, you get in and out on time. They even work you in when they don't have appointments. They will call you and see if you're available when others don't show up.
