I have to give a big thank-you to the team at Aspen Dental. I'll be honest, going to the dentist is not exactly how I like to spend my day , but this team made a stressful situation so much easier. Dr. Cody was wonderful--kind, patient, professional, and very reassuring. Lyndsey, my hygienist, was fantastic and somehow managed to make dental work feel a whole lot less awful than I expected. Rani deserves a special shout-out for helping me with my billing issues. She listened, explained things clearly, and helped get everything straightened out without making me feel like I needed a degree in dental billing to understand it. There were also two assistants working with Dr. Cody whose names I unfortunately didn't get, but they were both wonderful. They were friendly, caring, and helped keep me comfortable throughout the visit. I came in stressed and not exactly thrilled to be there, but Dr. Cody, Lyndsey, Rani, and the assistants completely turned the experience around. I felt listened to, cared for, and treated with genuine kindness. I'm still not volunteering to go to the dentist for fun , but if I have to go, I'm very glad this is the team taking care of me. read more

This was one of the only offices accepting new patients, I should have taken that as a red flag. Me and my son went there, first appointments were X-rays and evaluations. Then they told my son he needed gum care (he's 18) and has never been told that before. Over $500 out of pocket costs. I went for my eval and X-rays, and was told I had a 'surface' cavity. I've never had a cavity in my life and have never had problems with my teeth. Went for my cleaning, the hygienist stabs my gum, of course making me bleed. Didn't even apologize. They take me back for my 'filling', and he tells me he's going to inject one spot in my mouth. I then asked to please explain the procedure as I've never experienced anything like this. He describes how he's going to drill into my tooth, form the filling and file it down. I declined especially after the hygienist being as rough as she was. I will be searching for another office for a second opinion. This was worse than the dentist in the military, that's saying a lot. If they can't find problems with your teeth they will 'create' one to up sell services. I should have done my homework before going there. read more

RUN . As somebody who does reviews, I should have done my homework and checked this place, I'm traveling through the state and this was my only option that accepted my insurance. Let's just say what a s*** show. I can't have aweful bad to say about the dentist. It was more the front desk, they have no idea what they're doing with submitting claims,complaining to me, as the customer that I need to figure out my insurance, I went there almost 3 times complaining about the fact that they could not get my claims submitted correctly, had to put my insurance company on the phone with their front desk And then with my last visit, because the dentist has screwed up. My filling so bad.I've been in such terrible pain for over a month and I was told that they refused to see me over a 38.00 dollar charge that they wouldn't fix run for the hills disgusting disgusting customer service. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I went for an evaluation and was told I had to pay $1350 for a deep clean WITH INSURANCE and then was pressured to open a Care Credit card to take care of my portion when I said I wasn't comfortable paying that much. They badgered me 3 times to open a Care Credit account. So basically they wanted me in debt for dental care. I went to a local Seymour dentist for a second opinion and my portion was $280 with insurance for the SAME deep clean. Aspen is a complete scam and not local. Support your local dentists that support your communities and don't send profits out of state. read more

2964 Miller Place Way Office - I went in on July 10, 2024 because of a tooth that broke lose. I have dental insurance that is copay not percentage based & was told my copay was $330. Later found out it should have been $200! Now I can't get ahold of billing to get the extra $130 refunded! Also, after the fact, I called them because I was in extreme pain. Their response was "wait 2 more weeks, it needs time to heal" - turned out my jaw was out of socket & pressing on my ear drum/ear canal! read more

Aspen Dental Chapman hwy. This is the worst dental office I have ever been to in 50 years! Dr Cook told me I would be fully refunded for my dentures if they did not work out, I had to have them adjusted 4 times and they still hurt and swelled my gums up so bad I couldn't wear them . I went in today and had them ground down and they are still unwearable so I said I wanted refund. They refused to refund my money saying it was past the warranty period! Dr Cook told me I could refund at any time , but he suggested I try the final liner . I did and it hurt worse. Maybe on purpose to pass warranty time? These are unfair and shady practices! What a fraudulent practice! An entire waste of 4,000 dollars I will be suing !!! read more

Aspen dental Knoxville Tn 9champan highway0 Do not go here I repeat do not they are scammers, the females that work there have no clue nor does the dentist!!! They sent me to get a root canal at one of their referral endodontics D Wayne Hughart said I needed it immediately, I called to schedule they said eight weeks out I went on to explain they said it was infected and needed to be done ASAP the lady at D. Hughart didn't know better and told me they stay far out on appointments cause the only dentist they work for is Aspen on referrals so they keep them slammed with as many as 6 plus a day and sometimes as many as 14 wow that is alot, so I researched found an endodontics that could see me two days later and guess what I didn't need a root canal, the endodontist said I can take your money and do it but they fudged on that one. I appreciated his honesty and still had to pay $175 for his office visit but that was better than $1350. I also would like to state Aspen was cash only and their own credit and the root canal on their referral to D. Huggart they had me prepaid them. I had to raise cane for them to reverse and give me back credit on the credit line I opened with Aspen. BEWARE!!!!! read more

This place is terrible. I came in for a simple fix, a chipped tooth. I am a graduate student at UT and cannot afford a crown (students do not get dental insurance), so I asked them to simply do some bonding on the remainder of the tooth. They were clearly upset, and made it clear they were out for money. They insisted I do this "oral hygiene therapy" RIGHT AWAY, and I was like, no, I need you to fix my tooth. They took X-Rays and did a full exam, and told me the only thing I needed to fix was the tooth. They got me in later that day, and filled the tooth. All was well. Or so I thought. A few days later, I start feeling a little pain. I thought it was normal, but it kept getting worse. So I called back and asked to speak to the dentist. They told me that feeling pain was normal, and I was likely to feel some for a few weeks. For a filled tooth?? I have had this done before and know I should be in little to no pain at all. Later that night, I end up in the ER with a swollen face and lips. I had contracted an infection since they did the work. I now need to have a root canal and crown, and had to take out more student loans to be able to fix THEIR MISTAKE. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I am happy to be taking my business to a dentist who is legit and not too lazy to run their own practice like these dentists. read more

0 stars 3 weeks ago my husband had a severe toothache where his jaw was swollen he was seen 3 days later only time they could see him, so anyway he went it was abscess tooth, they did not put him on antibiotic, they were to busy trying to sell him a mouth full of money, anyway today on return visit to have his tooth pulled he very nervous anyway, appt was at 3. He sat there til 4pm. As he and I seen a man that came in for 4 pm appt for same thing was taken back before him, then when we questioned it. They said they had emergency but I thought my husband was an emergency 3 weeks ago, yes we have insurance and paid up front. Never ever will use them. We left. What was upsetting 3 times they came and said they were cleaning room for him. read more

If I could give this place 'no stars', I definitely would. My friend went there with what he thought was a tooth abscess. Of course, because of COVID, (which we understand), no one was allowed to go in with him. They determined that it was extremely infected and proceeded to pull a tooth. It just so happened to be the one beside the infected one. This all happened with a small amount of Novocain and nothing else. Yes, this was very very painful. If he had health insurance, we would have taken him to the emergency room when these people were finished with him but he didn't want another big bill. He has really suffered for a week and is now on his way to a reputable dentist who wouldn't see him until he had taken most of the penicillin that Aspen wrote for him. They were very concerned about pulling a badly infected tooth because the infection can quickly go to other parts of your body. If we had done research, he would never have gone to Aspen. I've talked to so many people since and they all say they same thing...stay away from Aspen Dental. I did speak to the office mgr and apparently the regional mgr. They both said sorry but maybe he should go to ER. No one ever called back to check on him. There are better alternatives. Do not go to Aspen Dental. Just don't. read more

Wish I could leave 0 star review. I thought going to a chain dentist office sounded great but I scheduled my appointment for 9am. They said about 7 other new patients came in that morning as walk ins. I sat there for over an hour until asking for the third time how much longer. They prioritized walk ins over an appointment. While I sat there waiting an hour I went online and started to read all the terrible reviews from bad service, overcharging, and prioritization of profit over people. So wasted an hour then ended up leaving and looking into a new dentist office. Don't recommend. read more

I went there in January 2020 for a cleaning and they said I needed xrays. The girl that did the xrays hurt me every time she put that holder in my mouth. I don't think she knew what she was doing. When the dentist came in she told me that I had gum disease and they would have to numb my gums, scrape the roots and put antibiotics in my gums. This was going to cost my insurance $2000.00 and me $1000.00. I told them I couldn't afford this and said I just wanted my teeth cleaned. They said that she (Daniele) said that she had a treatment plan in place and she wouldn't just clean my teeth. I said " I have a say in this." They said "No you don't." They have my xrays and I doubt that I will get them back. Don't go here! They only want your money! read more

This office completely botched my boyfriend's tooth extraction. They gave him NO numbing agents NO pain medication and PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH. He just went though an incredibly painful and traumatic experience that they have absolutely no inclination to make right. This office should be shut down for malpractice. NEVER GO HERE! read more

I had to take my 10yo child back to Aspen today because the last time I was there the provider told me that he could pull the tooth but it might be good to wait and see if it would come loose on it's own. It had a crown that was causing it not to come loose as well for a permanent. I schedule an appointment today and take off work and take my child out of school early. The dentist looks at the chart and sends the receptionist out to tell me he is not comfortable pulling an already loose tooth because my child is 10 and they use gas. I told the receptionist that he did just fine with the gas at another dentist. Instead of coming out to talk to me he sends the receptionist back out with a whole new excuse about maybe the child needs a spacer to make it come in straight. He's still afraid to come out to talk to me and obviously didn't want to be bothered with a young patient who he thought was a new patient screening because their computer system is not advanced enough to match up exact information from a previous visit (DOB, name, address, etc). So i don't know if he is scared of children or was scared of me but I'll never know because he is too good to speak to me directly. Personally, i believe that when you come up with two completely different excuses and won't come speak to me, then you are just making excuses for something you don't want to do. They should have noted on the site or tell people that they don't do anything except cleanings on children so I didn't have to waste my time and at least have the professional courtesy to speak to me face to face. Last year I went to Aspen Dental on Chapman Hwy in South Knoxville as a new patient. I hadn't been to a dentist in years, so I knew that I needed a cleaning and a root canal. To my surprise, I was told that I needed FIVE fillings. I had never had a cavity in my life. Based on their behavior and attitude (all about the money), I now question whether I needed any of those fillings. The CLEANING (not the fillings) caused me traumatic pain. For TWO MONTHS I experienced piercing pain every time I drank anything cold. At first they offered to do the root canal and then changed their minds and refused. When I found an endodontist for the root canal, Aspen Dental promised to send them my x-rays but did not, forcing the endodontist to do new x-rays that my insurance didn't pay for. By that time, I had plenty of reasons not to return, but I decided to go back for annual cleanings. Last month, I went back for my annual cleaning and the dentist literally THREW ME OUT because I would not agree to come in every three months for a saline rinse! I was so shocked, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I have since learned that Aspen Dental has horrendous dental care and terrible treatment of their patients. Most website reviews pull the negative reviews so that all you see are glowing reports. read more
