You know that feeling when you walk into an office, see the bright smile of the person at the front…read moredesk and immediately feel a little more at ease? That was exactly how I felt walking into Park Family Dental. And for me, that's a BIG deal because I have pretty extreme dental anxiety from a childhood dental trauma. I originally went to Park Family Dental for a cleaning and a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Long, who I had researched extensively beforehand. The practice already had thousands of amazing reviews, but what really stood out to me was that Dr. Long is the only AACD Accredited cosmetic dentist in the area. That was especially important to me because I knew my case could be a little more complicated due to my childhood injury, and I really wanted someone with that level of training and expertise handling the cosmetic side of my treatment. My hygienist, Catalina, was so sweet and patient. She knew how nervous I was and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. As it turned out, my case was definitely more complicated than I expected. What started as a cleaning and cosmetic consult uncovered a longstanding infection that I had absolutely no idea was there and ended up requiring some pretty extensive dental work. Being a medical professional myself, I was immediately impressed by the level of clinical expertise in this office. They were able to do a 3D CT scan right there, and I was able to consult with Dr. Macedo, who specializes in endodontic procedures. I ultimately needed multiple root canals as well as an apicoectomy with bone grafting. Dr. Macedo and her assistants, Miranda and Mary, were amazing. I honestly never knew it was possible to inject dental anesthetic without feeling a thing until Dr. Macedo did it! She and her team were incredibly gentle, patient and thorough and somehow made procedures that sounded absolutely terrifying to me go incredibly smoothly. Once all of that was taken care of, Dr. Long and his assistants Katia and David worked on the restorative and cosmetic part of my treatment, including the numerous crowns I needed. One of the things that really sets this office apart is that they have an on-site dental lab, which meant their ceramist, Lance, was able to be directly involved in creating my final smile. Lance is truly an artist. He and Dr. Long personally worked with me to make sure we got the shape, color and overall look exactly where I wanted it. I am honestly in awe of how my smile has been transformed. After everything that needed to be done, the final result is more than I could have hoped for. I won't go so far as to say I actually look forward to going to the dentist , but in just a few short weeks, the entire team at Park Family Dental managed to put fears I've had since childhood almost completely at ease. Considering they got me through root canals, an apicoectomy, bone grafting and extensive restorative and cosmetic dental work during that time, that is saying A LOT! I really can't say enough about this office. From Loyse at the front desk, to Catalina, Dr. Macedo, Miranda, Mary, Dr. Long, Katia, David and Lance, I felt like everyone genuinely cared about both the medical outcome and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. If you are looking for an exceptional cosmetic dentist, have a complicated dental case, or are someone who has dental anxiety like I do, I cannot recommend Park Family Dental enough.

I recently attended an appointment at Great Expression Dentistry in Naples, FL. I feel it is…read morenecessary to explain my experience and for the company to put measures in place to make sure future patient rights are not violated as I was. There are a few positives I would like to mention about my experience at the clinic. It was clean, they seemed to be running on time, the dental assistant was kind, and they did a good job taking my x-rays. Unfortunately, the positives stop here. Complaints and concerns are as follows: 1. Initially I was told I have a $5 co-pay for each office visit. I consulted with my insurance company and was told this is false; there is a $0 copay per visit. Great Expressions did not properly verify the insurance benefits before my appointment. 2. I received a complete set of x-rays and a panoramic film x-ray at the appointment. The latter was not covered under my insurance. Upon speaking with my insurance company, I was told both of these x-rays given on the same date are considered a duplication of services and are not medically necessary. This dentist office is trying to take advantage of its clients by performing unnecessary x-rays. 3. The dentist, Dr. Fidler, was abrupt and rude. He came into the room, asked if I was in any pain, looked at my teeth, said a few things to his assistant, and abruptly left. He did not allow time for me to ask him questions, he didn't speak with me about the condition of my teeth, didn't give me tips on how to improve things. He took a "quick peek" and left. In fact, he was speaking to his assistant about the condition of my mouth while walking down the hallway leaving the exam room. I thought he was leaving the room to get something and the dental assistant said the visit was complete. Every dentist I've ever seen consulted with me, the patient, after examining my mouth and we've worked together on how to improve things. This guy said a few things to his assistant and walked out so I didn't even get a chance to ask questions, very unprofessional. 4. After waiting a second time in the waiting room, one of the ladies working the front desk named Laura called me up and wanted to discuss the "treatment plan" in the waiting room in front of everyone. Patient conditions should be discussed in private, not in a waiting room where other patients can eavesdrop and learn about my personal health conditions - this place VIOLATED MY HIPPA!! 5. I had questions about the treatment recommended versus my current health condition and the front desk girl, Laura, started using a nasty tone and said, "This is what the doctor recommended during the visit and if you don't follow this plan, you cannot continue as a patient." First of all, the dentist saw me for literally 2 minutes and never actually spoke with me, so I never agreed nor was consulted about anything. When I questioned the clinical decisions, Laura, the front desk girl, sarcastically stated she is not clinical, the dentist doesn't have time to speak with me, and his recommendation stands (still in the middle of the waiting room). I never had a chance to hear the rationale for the recommendations nor did I learn about the current condition of my mouth; I had legitimate concerns that were silenced. I went to this dentist because I changed insurances and my previous dentist doesn't take my new insurance. I go to the dentist every six months and they always give me a standard cleaning. I wanted to continue the typical x-rays/exam/cleaning at this place, but they won't let me. Apparently, the front desk girl stated my upper teeth & gums are in poor condition and need an intense cleaning which will include a numbing lotion and antibiotic. I never heard of an antibiotic and numbing lotion for a cleaning. This place is doing everything they can to get as much money out of people as they possibly can, which is very unfortunate. I am involved in other health studies for serious health complications and cannot be putting unnecessary antibiotics into my blood stream. I don't understand how they can argue with the customer (who pays their bills) in the middle of the waiting room full of other patients. 6. I filed a complaint with their corporate office, and later Laura spoke with me over the phone, lecturing me because I complained about her. Laura told me I am no longer welcome at their place of business and they refuse all future services. By law, a medical practice must provide services to a patient for at least 30 days before dismissing them from a practice. Also, based on my insurance regulations, I am assigned to this practice (as they accepted me) and can only change facilities the 1st day of each month if I submit for a change by the 15th of the previous month. I spoke with the regional supervisor regarding all these concerns once, she said she was going to call me back, but never did. Overall, I had a terrible patient experience and left the clinic shaking due to the way I was treated.

Dentist review We…read morewere very disappointed with the experience at this dentist. They insisted on taking a panoply of X-rays, although we had provided X- rays from our NJ dentist taken less than six months ago. They refused to do a cleaning unless another visit was scheduled at which point they would need to do a "deep cleaning" at a higher cost than a regular cleaning. We have never heard of a distinction being made about the type of cleaning that was to be provided and a difference in price. Nor have we ever been advised that two visits were needed before a cleaning could be done. When we decided to switch back to our NJ dentist, we had to make several requests and encountered difficulties that we believe were unwarranted, just to get our records.

Best staff in Naples, highly recommend this office…read more Treatment was easy and fast. Team was very knowledgeable and friendly

I left this appt extremely frustrated with how my visit was handled…read more When I initially scheduled the appt, I specifically included in the detailed notes that I was looking to have my braces removed and needed a deep cleaning because I have been experiencing significant gum inflammation. I informed them that my ortho is in WI, but I am due to have my braces removed and my ortho up north sent me my retainers so I was looking for a place that offers braces removal, and also cleaning services. I reiterated this to the front desk during intake. I again mentioned the braces removal and gum inflammation while having my X-rays taken, and I explained the same thing to the hygienist. These were the two reasons I scheduled the appt. Despite communicating this multiple times, I went through a full series of X-rays and periodontal measurements before finally seeing the dentist, at which point I was told that they do not remove braces. By then, I had been there for approximately an hour and a half. I explained to the dentist that their information online shows that they offer orthodontic services, that I had specifically included braces removal in my detailed notes when booking, and that I had discussed it multiple times with staff before ever seeing him. His response was essentially, "Well, I don't know. You just have to call corporate." I found that response incredibly dismissive, especially considering I had made the purpose of my appointment clear from the beginning. I said well I don't need to be here then, and his response was "you don't want to check for cavities?" And I said "nope". And got up to leave. To me, this entire experience seemed a way to just get someone into the door and I felt completely mislead, why would I trust them with any other services? To be frank, I also don't understand why they continued with a comprehensive evaluation when every conversation I had about what I was seeking centered around braces removal and a deep cleaning due to my gum inflammation. There were at least four separate opportunities: from booking the appointment through the different stages of my visit... when someone could have simply told me that this location does not remove braces. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had to take time off of work specifically for this appointment. Better communication could have prevented both their time and mine from being unnecessarily wasted. If a patient repeatedly communicates the specific services they are seeking, particularly when making the appointment, I believe it is reasonable to expect the office to confirm whether those services can actually be provided before proceeding with an extensive evaluation. I was also uncomfortable with how my periodontal measurements were explained. I completely understand the hygienist calling out the probing depths so they could be charted. However, I was told beforehand that 2-3 mm was normal, 4 mm represented mild bone loss, and measurements of 5 mm or greater represented significant bone loss. Then, as numerous 5s & 6s were called out, this was understandably alarming. Coming from a clinical background myself, I would have preferred those measurements to be evaluated in the context of my overall examination, X-rays, current gum inflammation/swelling, & other periodontal findings before being characterized as bone loss. There are multiple factors that can affect periodontal measurements, & I don't feel that potentially concerning findings should be presented to a patient without the appropriate clinical context & complete assessment. Any prior dental appt I have had, everything is evaluated (gums, X-rays, inflammation, etc) before stating their is bone loss. To me this was a fear tactic & very unprofessional. I also had concerns regarding cleanliness during the X-ray process. One of the pieces of equipment I was instructed to bite on appeared to have visible bite marks/indentations & did not appear to be covered with a disposable barrier. I cannot speak to their sterilization procedures, but visually this made me uncomfortable. I do want to acknowledge that the woman at the front desk & the woman who performed my X-rays were both extremely kind and pleasant throughout my visit. They were genuinely the two positive aspects of my experience, & I appreciated how they treated me. Ultimately, the fact that this location does not remove braces isn't the issue. The issue is that I clearly communicated what I needed from the time I booked the appointment, reiterated it multiple times after arriving, & was not told they couldn't provide that service until approximately an hour & a half into my visit. When I questioned the discrepancy between what was advertised online, what I had requested when booking, & what the location actually offered, I felt that my concern was dismissed rather than addressed. Between the communication issues, the time I had to take away from work, & my concerns regarding cleanliness, I will not be returning.

The tooth recently became abscess. Went to Dr Folke. Have been going here for a few years, apparently my dentist left. This kid, he says "we have been telling you this tooth would be a problem, you need to go to endodontist, its an infection". This was a wed late afternoon. I said I think he should give me an antibiotic, I am in pain. Since all dentists seem to work only 4 days a week now, whats my chances of getting into endodontist? Dr Folke said NO! I went home crying, trying to get into endodontist. Couldnt get appt for 2 weeks. Some were 4 weeks. Found a dentist on Thurs who said I desperately needed antibiotics and prescribed them. Was shocked Fantastic dental didnt give me one.By Friday infection had spread to my face. It was completely swollen, 1 eye almost swollen shut. Had to go to Emergency room. They put me on a 2nd antibiotic, gave me a shot of antibiotics and pain killer and a steroid. They said infection had spread quickly and was bad and to get to endodontist asap. Endodontist got me in "earlier" just for consult. Still had to wait 2 weeks for appts and was put on another round of antibiotics. My family will never go back to fantastic dental. When I asked Dentist and he said no, he commented I should have gotten it taken care of when they told me earlier. He smirked and so did his assistant. it reminded me of the nazi jab pushers. If I listened to dentists, I would have lost this tooth 17 years ago. Dentists want to make money. Its not about your well being. And guess what. Both the other dentist i went to & endodontist said the tooth was saveable. His oath is to do what is needed and I needed an endodontist, yes, obviously. But More than that I needed antibiotics! Instead, I got a massive infection in my face and bones and a ER bill over $10K. I dont regret waiting. 17 years is a long time.

They run a dishonest practice. I had my very first appointment on a Thursday with Dr. Alexis who was actually very good. I made an appointment to go back on Friday, as in the next day at 12 for Dr. Alexis. I was practically forced to come back on Friday. I got a call around 10am telling me the dr. Was running late and to come 12:30pm so I wouldn't have to wait!! Ok great. But I get there and the dr I had the appointment with wasn't there but the "Owner", Dr. Phan. She had to let me know. I do not care she was the owner. She had the personality of a mean woman and I didn't know her. My appointment was with the dr I met the day before. I politely said, no, I will reschedule when the dr. I met and liked is back. Well that was a problem for the narcissistic Dr. Phan. Why when they called me to tell me the Dr. was running late, why didn't they tell me it was a different Dr because the dr I did have an appointment with was "out sick". I would have never wasted my time to go there to see a dentist I have never met before to do any work on my teeth. How self centered could Dr. Phan think it would be ok to do this? To make matters worse, I got a bill from Dr. Phan yesterday saying I owed $69 for missing my appointment. First, I was there. I don't miss my appointment. Rather I was being bullied into having to have an appointment with "the owner" Second, I didn't have an appointment with Dr. Phan!!!! If I could give zero stars I would!!
