Free Exam, until you get in the sales room with Desiree selling a $2000+ scaling, root planing, cleaning, which they could do the same day. The visit was for an extremely sore gum, from clenching per Dr. Hernandez (very nice and professional). The recovery of oral tissue from clenching trauma requires a three-to-five-day healing window that would have been compromised by the proposed 1.5 hour deep cleaning; such invasive procedures on already inflamed tissue would have significantly increased soreness and represent a breach of clinical standards when presented under high-pressure administrative conditions. They first refused and then released x-rays after explaining to Desiree it was our legal right. read more

I went in to have two teeth removed, and the used-car-salesman vibes should've been my first red flag -- but the pain was unbearable, so I stayed. Not only did I spend thousands of dollars for two extractions, but the procedure itself was alarming. The amount of Novocain they injected was excessive -- my body began violently shaking and my heart rate skyrocketed. Eventually, they switched to a different anesthetic they said was for patients sensitive to Novocain. Afterward, I paid part in cash and the rest through a payment plan. I made every payment on time until the balance was fully paid off. Now, a year later, I'm receiving calls from a collection agency claiming there's a balance my insurance didn't cover -- yet no one from Aspen Dental ever contacted me about this. My credit has been damaged over something I was never informed about. To make matters worse, Aspen was even involved in a class-action lawsuit for selling patient information collected through online appointments. I truly hope other locations are better, but this one was pushy, unprofessional, and misleading. Please avoid this office if you value transparency and professionalism. read more

Aspen Dental 2300 Pine Ridge Road. Naples FL. 34109 I have mixed feelings about this Aspen Dental location. Dr. Wendy Hernandez is truly outstanding--easygoing, straightforward, and genuinely caring. From the first appointment, it didn't feel like a transaction; it felt like she listened. She never rushed me, honored the time I needed, and inspired immediate comfort and trust. She's a skilled clinician and the best part of this office. Unfortunately, my most recent visit on July 22, 2025 was frustrating. I went in because I broke my Invisalign upper tray. What should have been simple turned into delays and unexpected costs. The X-rays took an unusually long time (the equipment seems outdated), and at the end I was left with a bill of around $2,000 for what the X-rays revealed. When I reviewed the itemized charges, I was told there was bone loss attributed to Invisalign treatment, and the cleaning for three quadrants was quoted at approximately $1,550--which is what many offices charge for a full-mouth cleaning. I was told my replacement trays would arrive within a week. It's now September 8, 2025--about 7 weeks (48 days) later--and I still haven't received a call. When I checked in, I was told not to contact them and that they would call me when the trays arrived. The lack of follow-through makes me feel forgotten, which is unacceptable after payment.This behavior is the norm in this location. During my Invisalign treatment this happened often until Dr, Wendy Hernandez took over. Bottom line: I can't say enough good things about Dr. Wendy Hernandez as a dentist and as a person. But the office operations--equipment, billing transparency, communication, and delivery of paid-for services--need serious improvement. First of all there is not a single redeeming thing about Aspen Dental. The old blonde manager who just sits in her office writing up bills is useless and just pushes as much expensive crap as she can, the oral surgeon is as dumb as a box a rocks, and it seemed like every nurse and assistant in there had about 20 minutes of experience, constantly asking the doctor for what measurement again, what medicine again, what amount of sedation again, that was incredibly unnerving. Hire some real employees, not 19 year old college students who have no idea what to do. No one in this office cares about their job and is too busy talking about their weekend to check X-rays apparently. Was put under, got halfway through having my 4 wisdom teeth taken out, (planned this extraction with them over a year and a half ago) when they realized they couldn't get the top 2 out because it was "too hard." So they just packed me up and sent me home without any kind of plan or information as to the still impacted wisdom teeth in my face. But don't worry, they still charged me for all 4 teeth 2 weeks before I even went in for surgery, so at least they got their money, right!?! Truly hope this place gets sued eventually and anyone who works at this location permanently leaves dentistry, this is legitimately the worst dentist I have ever been to in my entire life and I pray no one else gives them the opportunity to butcher their mouth. read more

Great experience across the whole spectrum. The receptionist was polite and courteous. The dental assistant was thorough and had a "gentle touch" with the X-rays. The dentist, Dr. Hernandez, was amazing. I had a tooth extraction and felt almost zero pain. She had great "bedside" manner. Financing department that will work with you in getting the financing if you need it. They do have a bit of a "sales model" but it's a business, so I get it. But I will be returning for further dental work. read more

Office experience is unfortunate I wish I would have read the reviews before. New Patient and needed Xrays done in regard to scheduling an upcoming extraction. (I cracked a tooth) they sat me in an office and went over a bunch of numbers and pamphlets with payment programs I decided extraction over root canal and the attitude in the room changed. Everything was great up until this decision was made. They will not allow the release of my X-RAYS with E sign documents or even send them to another office when I initially already signed and agreed at the first appointment they've made it difficult to work around because I want a second opinion on the extraction and pricing (1250$) for extraction of one tooth with no sedation. They frequently overbook and then turn you away even after you confirm the appointment multiple times via the emails and texts received from aspen Dental. Office staff is so incompetent that one time I arrived for an appointment and no one was there. Six patients waited 20+ minutes and no one showed up. Never received a call or explanation and had to call several times to rebook. Also, once they get paid by insurance they do not refund your overpayments- they keep it and only mention it to you if you have to schedule follow up work. read more

I have been trying to get Aspen Dental to refund me over $ 5,000 that they charged my medical c card for work that was never done, which I have confirmed in writing, X-rays and a cat scan by another dentist, Aspen Dental refuses to return my calls now. after many many attempts. I will now have to pay a capable dentist $15,000 to correct and complete the poor work that ASPEN started. But I can not get the work started until they refund my money !!!!!!!!!! The are refusing to refund my card for the over $5,000 they charged for work that I NEVER had done......I spoke to the better business bureau and they have hundreds of complaints against ASPEN Dental in Naples. Many of the complaints can be found BBB online . I have also spoken to the Florida Board of Dentistry and they instructed me to file a complaint. Care Credit has confirmed in writing "If the dentist didn't complete your work, they must refund the balance from their funds." This is another violation of the False Claims Act, and it occurs when a practice bills a patient or insurer for services and procedures that were not actually provided. So, billing for services not rendered is an illegal dental billing practice and carries with it serious penalties. read more

The negative reviews here are definitely merited. Went in for a simple cleaning and also had an exam. During the cleaning they blatantly missed flossing a few teeth, and tore up my gums (I brush 2-3 times a day and floss every single day). During the exam the dentist made a comment saying I brush my gums too hard when it was the oral hygienist who watched the Texas chainsaw massacre a little too recently. Insurance covers a teeth cleaning once every 6 months and sadly I wasted it on these guys, and now have to pay out of pocket to finish what they couldn't. That said, I'd be remiss to not point out that the office manager actually is very helpful (blonde male). Don't know his name but he was quite helpful in sorting insurance. Only pleasant part of this experience. On top of all this my appointment started 45 minutes late. Really unbelievable. DO NOT COME HERE. And when you think you should come here due to appointment availability, remember that you should not come here. read more

This is a bait and switch operation. I called to schedule an emergency dental appointment for a crown that had broken off. I was traveling and needed it attended to before I was able to get home. Aspen set me up for the next available day. On the morning of the appointment they contacted me and said I would have to have a full exam, including x-rays, and then, if they had time, they would either fix or reschedule a time to address the problem. I had just had a full dental exam at home three weeks ago, but they insisted that I would have to have the x-rays and exam. This was a waste of my time--selling me something I don't need and not doing what I scheduled them to do. Now I have to start over. what a pain! read more

SCAM!!!! My husband went in for a toothache. They took X-rays and told him he had a fractured tooth, needed a deep cleaning, bone grafting and a bridge. Estimated cost was $10,000! They were extremely aggressive trying to get him to leave a deposit and finance the rest. Thank goodness he didn't fall victim to the con! He got a second opinion today with new X-rays by a more reputable dentist. He does not have a fractured tooth, doesn't need bone grafting or a bridge. THEY COMPLETELY LIED TO HIM!!! This is outrageous! I'm furious. Tell everyone. Report these criminals! It looks like Aspen dental had a class action lawsuit in 2012. I think it may be time for another. read more

I have a huge phobia about visiting the dentist. All staff at Aspen (Pine Ridge) have been overly sensitive regarding my phobia. They've all been caring, gentle, concerned about any possible pain I'm having during my procedures, they ask constantly how I'm feeling... what dentist does that?!?! Today I had an old filling removed and redone, and a tooth drilled down and fitted for a temp crown. Winnie and their dentist (sorry- don't remember her name) were amazing! So gentle! Week before last I had my teeth cleaned... their hygienist (again, don't remember her name) was also amazing and gentle! Dave, their office manager, explains everything as far as cost, payment plans, etc. He's super nice and pleasant! I'd recommend Aspen to anyone needing a dentist. Matter of fact, I recommended them today to a good friend that was sitting in his dentist office as him/I were texting... and he was telling me how unhappy he was with his current dentist... hopefully he'll give Aspen a try! UNBELIEVABLE - Yesterday morning I cracked a tooth, so I went online to the Naples Aspen Dental site and booked an appointment for later that morning since there were plenty of openings available. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from Norma in the dental office to tell me that the webpage I used to book the appointment was only meant for new patients, and the soonest she could get me in to see the dentist was more than a week away. I replied, so if I was a new patient, I could come in right away, but since I am an existing patient I have to wait more than a week to see the dentist. She told me that was correct because the available appointment times were being held for new customers. I responded that according to their website, there were no new customers who signed up for the available appointment times that morning, so why couldn't the doctor see me instead. I was then told that it is office policy, and she could do no better in booking me an appointment than what I had already been told. Upon asking to speak to her supervisor, I was told the supervisor was out of the office for the day. I should point out that this was not the first time that I found the staff in that office to be highly uncaring and less than helpful. I therefore called a different dentist who I had never seen before, and they had me come in later in the day and took care of my problem. As a result, I have made them my new primary care dentist. If you choose to go to Aspen Naples, I guarantee it is just a matter of time before you have a similar unpleasant experience. read more

I've had a permanent retainer for my bottom teeth for 10 years. It finally broke on Monday. I came in and they rebounded the wire on short notice. It was $400 and they said that if the retainer fails again, then just come back and they'll fix it. It was a pleasant experience. 2 days later, the retainer fails again, which honestly didn't even make me angry. I stopped by so that they could re-fix it. I'm now told that they won't even re-fix it unless if I spend an additional $300 for a cleaning and the assistant condescendingly chastised me for expecting the retainer to last without a cleaning. Now, I am* angry. I had the previous retainer for 10 years. I had this one for 2 days***. And my last cleaning was less than 6 months ago. After complaining, the assistant re-fixes the retainer after all. I speak to the dentist afterwards who accuses me of "attacking" her assistant because I had the audacity to stand my ground and not pay an additional 300 dollars to fix a mistake they made 2 days ago. The dentist was very defensive and told me that she did me a "favor" 2 days ago by fixing the retainer without first doing a cleaning. Then she angrily storms out of the room. I'm not sure if they were simply trying to rip me off by charging an extra $300, or if they were angry that I'd expect them to fix shoddy work, but either way: STAY FAR AWAY from this place. read more

When she them to just replace the filling they gave her a bad time and told her to go somewhere else. She did and the dentist fixed her filling for $190 dollars. They wanted a few thousand dollars. I would STRONGLY recommend against going to this location. I was overcharged for my visit, and it took five calls, including a call from my insurance company, to finally get them to admit that they had overcharged me. The woman I spoke with in billing was extremely rude, and blatantly lied to me about how much I owed, even saying things that contradicted the bill I was sent by Aspen. Very shady billing practices... they are a just as bad as car salesmen in my opinion . They try to confuse you as too what your insurance covers. As for treatment the hygienist dose unnecessary treatment that my new dentist did not agree with.... I wonder if they work on commission. Aspen ground down one of my teeth and caped it... A week later it was infected. Aspen operates like car salesmen as they have a finance guy who will never give a straight answer to questions... I found a new dentist who at my first consultation laid out a treatment plan in writing with exactly what would be done how much the insurance would cover and what my out of pocket would be... All the billing codes were next to each procedure so i could look them up on my insurances web site. The tooth aspen ground down and capped was fixed and the cap aspen used was place on wrong after the root canal the new dentist was able to use the cap aspen made. When i told him the cap felt better he said it is now on straight. In my opinion aspen is a chain with shysters who take advantage of people and insurance companies... Aspens practices should be investigated.. Use your own judgment but I would not recommend them to my worst enemy read more

When we said all we wanted was a prophylaxis, lady doing the up-sell siad we HAD to take the additional procedures on nothing. We walked out! For wife & I, additional $2,400. I went in this place a few times and always walked out feeling like I was being taken as a fool. I go in and each time I am told "You need a Crown". I had a filling fall out and was told "You need a crown". I asked if they could just drop another filling in and they said a filling can't be just replaced, there had to be a crown involved, I was getting ready to deploy overseas in two days so I just had them pull the damn tooth because I couldn't afford to delay two weeks. We don't have a dentist where I go so I had no choice but the tooth was all the way in the back so no issues really. They were all very nice to me which was comforting but I feel a dentist should think about the tooth first before the money in their pockets....but, I know its a business. read more

Yikes!!!! They do not offer regular cleanings!!!!! You have to do their "gum therapy" which is $1,000 to $2,000 out-of-pocket. Most insurance companies or dental plans offered two free cleanings per year but this office does not honor any cleanings!!! They only offer the $1000-$2000 gum therapy. First off, I like the dentist here. Nice guy; very personable. The staff are a hit or miss; they're great with some stragglers. My hygienist I was not a fan of. She was very condescending and cold. Didn't really care at all what she was doing. I'm not going to reveal her name but if aspen cares to know I'll tell them. I also wasn't a fan of the sales tactics. Felt like I was in a used cars establishment talking with the "manager" on a deal. Needless to say, I'm not returning and choosing a place that better fits my needs - basic customer service. read more

I went for a regular check up and cleaning intially they said everything is fine and you need a second visit for clean up.
