They said they will need to take x-rays, as the ones they received from Dr. Makram's office weren't good enough (seeing a theme here) and they might need to do a "360-panoramic?" x-ray? Dr. Moe's office said they will need to charge me another $210 for a consultation and x-rays and I will have to come back for the extraction. I don't know about you, but when I see extremely bad reviews I tend to think the person was just being extreme. This review is about the staff at SAGE - not a dentist. I never saw one because the experience with the staff gave me the insight to leave. It was a very bad experience for a scheduled appointment of cleaning and exam. Initially, the front desk couldn't find my appointment. The front desk person asked me, "are you sure you have an appointment?". Then the office manager had to help them to see my appointment. They told me "sit down". Next a person that looked like they just got off their bicycle, based on their clothing, asked me to follow her. That person asked me if I was a new patient. She could not find my previous visit history. When I kept insisting that I was there last year and was seen by a dentist that left the practice. (I could understand why the dentist would want to leave that practice). Last year the dentist gave me a written referral to visit a root canal specialist. Next the office manager came to help that person find my records and told me possibly I was confused. After twice being told that I was possibly confused I decided that I did not need to be insulted, and I walked out - (yes I have receipts from the prior year visit). The recovery of oral tissue from clenching trauma requires a three-to-five-day healing window that would have been compromised by the proposed 1.5 hour deep cleaning; such invasive procedures on already inflamed tissue would have significantly increased soreness and represent a breach of clinical standards when presented under high-pressure administrative conditions.
