I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday I called today at 8 to ask an important question I called three times and got in touch with Roberto put me on hold each of those times and hung up the final time I got in touch with a female I asked her the question she put me on hold for 3 minutes just to come back and tell me Roberto was going to give me a call back it is now 6pm the office is closed and I still have yet to receive a call back . God forbid there was something wrong and ended up needing to go to the hospital. I've been going here for years. Your front office lady is very pleasant. Unfortunately have had issues with the payment/billing just as long. Walked in today for my cleaning and was told I had a balance on my account. After my husband and I both had called them four times and left voicemails and we received no return detailed voicemail call back. Never heard about a balance. Never received a bill. And the balance was related to six months to one year ago. This is related to when I walked in the office (2023) & showed my insurance card and asked if they had my updated insurance. Yes, no problem they said lightly. Then when I walked in today (2024) they said they had billed it to *** insurance carrier, well this was not my insurance in 2023. No wonder they denied it! So this was taken care I am told by manager. We will see, time will tell. Something almost always comes up even though I am proactive with my insurance coverage & cost responsibility. Two years ago a pushy scheduler asked me to make more appointments for my family, in particular my youngest son. At the time he was 5 years old. I received a call saying that he is too young to be seen. Now just last week, I scheduled my oldest son for work, and they insisted that I set an appointment for my youngest son who is now 7. I remarked to the scheduler that last time the office would not take him because he is too young but, the scheduler assured me that this Orange City FL location takes patients as young as 6 years old- and confirmed with customer service. I received a call telling me yet again that he is too young to be seen at this office. Furthermore, the contact numbers given do not connect callers to anyone in the office so there is no accountability at all. Staff is rude and lacking basic customer service skills as well as empathy. In fact when my wife took my oldest in initially it was a walk in day, and they signed in and sat in the waiting room for over an hour before they were acknowledged and then were told that they had stopped taking walk-ins for the day. I can't imagine having a worse experience. It is at every level from scheduler, office staff, nurses, and dentists are all poor excuses for professionals. Beware, 0/10 would not ever recommend. I came here just wanting to make sure I didn't have a wisdom tooth infection, wasn't feeling well and noticed one of my wisdom teeth coming in. The staff and dentist were all very nice and friendly. Personally I wouldn't go back here for two reasons, it took forever! I was there for two hours and was just a "new" patient. I felt they did way to much and I spent a ton of time just sitting around. The X-ray tech didn't know what she was doing, my X-rays took forever and was painful, not just uncomfortable painful, and she switched out my trays to small to big multiple times. Then they had my teeth scanned or something to show me what my teeth would look like if I wanted to straighten them and get braces? I'm 32 and never have had a dentist suggest braces to me. I felt like they scheduled 3 or 4 different same time appointments and I could here the dentist talking to another patient from my room, seemed to be multitasking a lot. Not sure this is the case but just the impression I was given. My concern for my wisdom tooth was barely addressed because it was not infected but impacted and I was told even though it was causing no pain needed to be removed asap. They also tried to tell me I need braces, a deep cleaning with antibiotics, I had gum disease, ect ect and so on... and it was going to cost 1600$$ for just the deep cleaning. I got a second opinion and it didn't cost me anything fully covered by insurance, and I was told I didn't need braces, nor immediate surgery, nor did I have gum disease or even need anything other than a cleaning. I was also in and out of the office including my cleaning in an hour... so.. not sure why this place took 2hrs and did a lot of nothing expect trying to upsell me stuff. If you go here I highly recommend a second opinion! Because they are trying to make $$$ not necessarily in your best interests. Just my opinion and experience. read more

Not so good- Billing, I feel as though I was not adequately informed, up front, of the billing process and am now getting unexpected bills. Plus Roberto was like get ur phone out & let's go to yelp right now and put in a 5 star/good review, Which I did. No wonder he insists that u do it then, before the unexpected bills start rolling in. I DO take responsibility for not reading the small print on my Patient Responsibility 2 pg print out that he gave me, because it is there ..now that I look back at it. So yes, my fault But being someone in a position of billing, I think he (& others, if they don't) should really consider emphasizing to the patients, that it IS indeed an estimate, and not just glean over that part, instead focusing more on the Patient Responsibility part. I just wish that it was an estimate was emphasized beforehand as much as it was when I went in to inquire about my bill. Their other reviews on Google must be fake. I lost a filling over the weekend and it left sharp spots. My regular dentist couldn't see me until Thursday so I went to Aspen as emergency. From the moment I got there it felt like being at a Timeshare pitch. The girl that took the panoramic x-ray took me to take MORE xrays of my mouth. I asked why. She said it was for a comprehensive exam. I told her VERY clearly that I'm only there to get out of pain and possibly replace the filling. Nothing more. I have an appointment Thursday w/my reg dentist. And I had to be out in 1.5 hours. She said ok. But continues with her slow and awkward x-rays. After 30 minutes I tell her AGAIN I don't want anything but that. The hygienist comes in and starts the sales pitch again! I tell her VERY clearly what I'm there for and now I'm getting upset. The Dentist walks in and talks to me like I'm a child. She said the tooth is broken. I said there used to be a filling there. Then she said "well yes, there was but it's broken". Then proceeds to tell me there isn't enough time to fill it but could smooth it out. I'm getting madder by the second. Had they just listened to me we wouldn't have wasted 45 minutes on things I didn't need. So chair goes back and the same clumsy girl that took my x-rays puts the suction in my mouth so far down I gag and isn't even holding on to it! The dentist begins but the water is literally going down my throat. I gag and she has the gall to tell me not to move. I explain that I can't breathe. So she spends 5 seconds with a drill and asks if that's ok. It's still rough. Hits it again. Is that ok? I ask "Aren't you going to polish it?" By now I realize I'm not getting what I need. Then this huge guy comes in all menacing. What in the world? They need bodyguards? She rudely tells me "I think you need to see your regular dentist." First time I've agreed with them. I flee. They refuse to send my comprehensive x-rays that I didn't ask for to my dentist and now I can't have them done there. Please do NOT go to this business. Anyone can have their friends write nice reviews. This one is REAL. I'm still in pain, I can't get x-rays at my regular dentist and the whole thing was traumatizing. this company only cares about making money. And I saw them as a new patient October 2023. They said they were sending me home with a bottle of prescription mouthwash. They made it sound like it was free but I received a bill for it for $40!!! I scheduled my six month cleaning, but was told my insurance wouldn't cover it because Aspen dental required me to have another deep cleaning, because my first cleaning was a deep cleaning. And that meant I would have to always have a deep cleaning even though my insurance only pays for one every three years. I begged and pleaded with them to let me have a regular cleaning, they refused. They didn't even have me come in the office to examine my mouth to see which type of cleaning I needed. Very frustrating if I had known this would happen I never would've authorized the deep cleaning at my first visit. It sounds like they want a deep cleaning so they can make more money off me. Went to get a new partial, but they were to busy trying to upsell me for a deep cleaning {1600$!!} because I have a cavity. Then it was upsell for a top partial because I am missing a few teeth on top. After I told them I had a deep clean less than a year ago and I didnt want that I was told in no uncertain terms that it didnt matter what I wanted. Took forever for them to tell me that I needed 4400$ worth of work just to get a new partial. These people could care less about you....you are just a dollar sign. IMO go anywhere else. Went Aspen Dental to get a new upper denture plate. They give a come on price of $399. to get you in the door. Only to find out these only have a 6 mo. warranty. So you end up buying a much more expensive plate. After four visits I finally am going get my dentures after arrival and sitting the waiting room for 20 mins I was told it would be another twenty minutes while they do final trimming. Well they had a week to get that done. Finally get in and they do not fit very well. They do some more trimming and I finally said never mind I will do it myself. if i could give zero stars i would. this place is a rip off. my mom came here because they took her insurance and it was close to our home( she doesn't drive). so she came here and it seemed legit. but then they're computers crashed and they lost all her info. fine it happens but then it took almost a year before they got all her info back. she would check with them for months and they would say that they didn't have anything yet and that they would call her. they never called she just happened to stop by like always and then they told her it was back, it literally took a year. then they tell her that she needs all these other new things and all she wanted was to get some partial dentures that's it. all they have done is cleaned her teeth. not to mention that she paid for her dentures and she still doesn't have them. today was the last straw. we went to see a gentleman by the name of roberto. she had called and told him that she was coming to see him to go over her invoices. so we get there and they tell us he is with someone if we wanted to wait we said ok. several people asked if we had been helped we said yes we are waiting for roberto. an hour later a girl walks up and tells us that he has left for the day. we were sitting there the whole time and no one said anything. she said we can see him next week at 9am. we said fine. as we were getting up to leave the office door opened and we caught a glimpse of roberto hiding i the back. who does this to. 71 year old woman!! who has trouble walking! this place is a disgrace avoid it at all costs their service is horrible don't wast your time or money!! we will be going back to get a refund for my mother and we will be taking our business else where! read more

Well, it's been over a year since I had my dentures made here. They don't fit and pop out when I smile or laugh. They are horrible! Luckily, I got some new insurance and I found a new dentist that will be making me a brand new set of dentures. I told them about my terrible experience with Aspen Dental. They weren't too shocked, because they've heard many similar stories from other patients. They promised to make me a beautiful denture and give me exactly what I want. Aspen never even asked me what I wanted. They said, "this is what we made, and this is what you get"! Also, my insurance pays 100% of the cost! I wish I would've waited and not gone to Aspen at all. Don't waste your time here. You will only be seeing technicians, very rarely an actual dentist or orthodontist. They make a lot of promises and what seem like good deals up front, but then you're trapped dealing with their unprofessionalism and crappy management that inconvenience you ad mismanage your cases. I got stuck working with this office for invisalign treatments after they talked me into it when I went in for wisdom teeth removals. After paying for my treatment, I never saw a dentist or orthodontist, struggled to get them to make my follow-up appointments to continue my treatment course, and they LOST the Invisalign refinement trays and waited until the day of my appointment to tell me after making me wait an hour. So now i'm stuck waiting for them AGAIN to find these trays and continue on the treatment, or else end up paying a different office to take over the case when I already paid this office to treat me. So either way, I was conned out of my money because they do not know how to reliably manage an invisalign case. I thought this was normal, but a quick google search shows people communicating that is is NOT normal for offices to lose trays and for you to never see your dentist when having this treatment done. They similarly lost my mother's filling and treated her very unprofessionally in the same way. We've been filing complaints with management, which try to be helpful, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had no real power to fix these issues. You're basically on your own if anything goes wrong, because there is ZERO accountability on their part if they screw you over. Completely unprofessional, SEVERELY unfair, and from reading other comments online about this location and other Aspen Dentals, I can safely say we're all better off avoiding them!!! This Aspen Dental is clean and professional on all fronts. The staff is amazing and friendly and willing to answer any and all questions that you may have. During my visit, the most time consuming part was waiting for the numbing agent and the Septocaine to go in to effect. After that I needed a filling on a front tooth, which was quick, easy, and painless. The entire process of the filling was done in less than 10 minutes. During my visit I saw Dr. Charlton who is extremely professional and very nice. Beware, don't try to fool her and say you floss every day, she will know!
