Do not go to an Aspen facility for referral work. They force you to have xray when you are there for a specialist limited exam. They charge you for a full workup even though I wouldn't allow it. You have to pay upfront, I had full approval for a limited exam, but was charged for a new patient. Rotating specialist wrote something to effect that it was a limited exam, office would not honor billing correction. Horrible!!! I had my appointment scheduled and somehow they magically cancelled it last minute. I was sent an automated email and asked to reschedule. When I called the Overland Park location, no one answered. Reached out to Aspen dental customer service and they were confused as to why my appointment was cancelled. I was told my appointment was not cancelled at all. After some digging, I was informed that my appointment was in fact cancelled. The Aspen Dental team tried to reach and transfer me to the Overland Park location and it was a failure. We tried about 10 times. I personally called like 20 times. No response. Today, out of the blue I get an email that my appointment has been rescheduled to next week without my knowledge, without my preference, without my consent. I am gagged. read more

Well here I go. Hopefully I will not make this to lengthy. When I was a young child I had a very bad experience with a dentist. When that ordeal was over I thought no way ever going back to a dentist for cleaning or anything else. When I went into the military I had no choice but to let them work on my teeth. So long story short I had not been to a dentist for any associated services. It has been 55 years since I last saw a dentist. You can imagine what my teeth looked and felt like. Either broken or missing all of them. Went in to see what they could do and I have tell [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt at ease right away. They were extremely understanding of what I had been through and assured me that they would do anything they could to make me feel comfortable. THEY DID!!!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can only speak for the location on 95Th street in Overland Park, Kansas. They did the x'rays first after I finishing the medical form. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dentist I would refer to as a doctor told me what needed to have happen and gave me options on what avenues we could take.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't know what to say about group of people that Aspen has employed for their personnel at 95th street but as far I am concerned they are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just finished up my second fitment for my dentures and it went great. I feel I could keep my dentures in for twenty four hours if I wanted too. I don't know about if their price is reasonable or not. I felt that with what they had to do to get me back into a real life with being happy with several ie. looks eating ability and such that the price was extremely ok with me. All I can ask is what are your teeth worth to you? Don't go anywhere else and at least get checked out by Aspen. Remember I am only talking about the Aspen Dental I went too. THE DENTIST OFFICE OF NIGHTMARES: Background: I called Aspen Dental in Overland Park early last November to address 3 possible cavities. The meeting was scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024 at 12:15 PM. I left from Lawrence to drive to the Dental office however I was stuck in traffic and was going to be a few minutes late. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called and informed the people in the front office I was going to be a few minutes late then they tell me not to worry about it as my appointment cancelled by the hygienist as the hygienist was ill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I missed class, was stuck in traffic, and planned a meeting well in advance and it was cancelled on a whim with no follow ups about the status of the appointment on all domains.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was a little off-put by this but I always give the benefit of the doubt. I rescheduled for November 25th at 10:00 am for the initial meeting to get my teeth assessed and cleaned! I note cleaned. I spend 45 minutes to an our getting imaging material shoved into my mouth which was very painful because the "imaging" software was broken. For 45 minutes getting plastic and metallic instruments shoved repeatedly in and out of my mouth and I already warned them my tissues are very sensitive. Obviously it wasn't enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With no reverence and regard to my schedules they postponed my cleaning to be Friday, December 10th at 7:30 am the date of my fillings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Cleanings and Fillings: They shoved my cleanings and my fillings into one date. Because of that there was so much haste, carelessness, and neglect that went into my procedure. I was injected with localized anesthetic in two regions of my mouth however it was done sloppily and I could taste the medicine in my mouth. I thought to myself "yeah, things happen, a little bit of spill won't hurt me." It wasn't enough. The anesthetic wore off quickly and I began to feel sharp pain and drilling into my mouth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I signaled to Dr. Mendez of my pain and was very off put by this. He wanted to me get in and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I received a second shot of anesthetic to the region of my mouth that was in pain. It was done very sloppily me it felt as if it went to the bone. I received my fillings then got my cleanings. That was the end of that? No... what began to unfold in the upcoming months because of the negligence of this firm has been the most traumatic experience I have ever had in the healthcare field. The Aftermath: About a week or two later after my fillings I began to notice sharp pains in my mouth. The 3 teeth Aspen Dental - Overland Park worked on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke with Aspen and they said they would look at my teeth. No follow up. I called nothing.. waiting and waiting and waiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My teeth began to rot by January. I broke off ties with Aspen Dental as they do not care about the mess they created in my mouth. As of today Saturday, February 1st, 2025 my teeth are rotting. It is painful to brush my teeth. My fillings are all coming out. All of this suffering and fighting for fillings that do not even work. I will never let Aspen Dental work on my teeth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The suffering and worry they have caused me has really been something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I could threaten legal action but what is it worth? I warn you do not come to this establishment. They hoodwinked me, offered me horrible services, horrible customer service, put me through pain and misery, used me as a money grab. DO NOT go here. Tomorrow I will speak with HR. This is unethical. It isn't the front desk, the dentists, the assistants but rather this whole place is a shill and a joke. From the top to the bottom everything is wrong at Aspen Dental - Overland Park. my mom paid $2,000 dollars for a new set of dentures and was patiently waiting for them for about 2 weeks now and she still never heard anything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place closed and never bothered to text or even leave a voicemail to her that the place is temporarily closed and just update her on what will happen with her new dentures that she's been waiting for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried calling the place and the phone number from the place led to the Aspen Dental in Olathe and they told my mom that they actually never started my mom's dentures or even sent my moms information to start the dentures. They literally examined my mom and left it at that. Nothing was made yet for 2 weeks even though they told us the dentures would be ready in about a week or 2. Where to start? I wish I could give this place NO STARS! Had my 1st appointment for a tooth extraction January 2024 and then it went downhill from there. I was told I needed an implant because my teeth would move around if I didn't. I was told it would cost me $3500 for the extraction and implant. I took out a loan thru their loan provider, but the office lady put the wrong loan amount in and told the place I needed $4500. So, I had to pay all $4500 to the loan company. Once I did, I had a $1000 credit on my account. I told them numerous times I wanted the credit on my account put back on my debit card (um who wouldn't). They refuse to give me my money back. The 1st excuse I heard was that the work wasn't finished and that they didn't know what my insurance would cover (um didn't they figure all that out before I paid them?). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then I was told that their office lady that does the crediting was not in and they had no clue when she would be in and that they would send her a message to call me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never received a phone call from anyone in their office, and I've been sitting with a credit on my account since I paid off my loan since the summer of 2024.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I bring it up when Im in the office I get excuse after excuse.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] NOT to mention they still haven't done my implant. I've had some pretty terrible things happen to me by dentists, but this is the worst. So now I'm out $1000 plus the cost of the implant that they have yet to do. I'm getting an attorney involved! Every time I go, there's a wait. I have an appointment and I've been sitting in the parking lot for an hour. Their doors are locked.

Had an appointment rescheduled after being cancelled on day of. I arrived at an appointment at 4:45 for a simple teeth cleaning. Appointment was supposed to be at 5PM. Did not get taken back until 5:45 PM. I had multiple rounds of Xrays taken, and was sat in a chair and told that someone would be in for the teeth cleaning shortly. After almost 45 minutes, and being assured multiple times it'd be "just a second more," I was told at 7:05 PM that they were closing and would not have my teeth cleaned. They then asked for me to reschedule. It is as if they didn't want to start another task, and stalled until closing time so that they could avoid the work. I won't be returning here, and I wouldn't recommend anyone schedule an appointment until the owners take the opportunity to rectify the numerous issues mentioned in this and other 1 star reviews. There are simply too many other options that won't leave you waiting 2 hours at a rescheduled appointment, only to not even start the work you came in to have done. There is a good chance you'll be asked to reschedule, or if you do show up you might spend multiple hours just to be told to reschedule again. Low Quality. read more
