I first went to Perfect smiles in 2018. They don't judge you that's a plus. They did good cleanings and work. However, reception and billing is horrible! And now I remember why I left. After a hiatus from Dr.Bridenstein, I called and made two appointments, I did not know about Dr.Boldry until they put myself and daughter into cancellation appointments so we got in sooner. But they FAILED TO MENTION, NOT IN NETWORK. My insurance covers cleanings and X-rays twice a year. Why would I request someone I would have to be OUT OF POCKET FOR? Nope, sure wouldn't Couple of months later I get the $92.55 bill. Beware, they are SCANDALOUS! Now, they have lost three clients. Way to go Debbie! read more

My family chose Perfect Smiles Dental Care several years ago for their excellence in family dentistry, patient care, and customer service. The RDHs are always friendly and go out of their way to make our visits comfortable, whether offering pillows, blankets, specific flavors of tooth polish or a movie to help take our minds off dental matters. The ladies at the desk up front who deal with the business side always make our insurance coverage easy to understand even when I've forgotten some of the details I should know in advance. They make every effort to check on prices of services when I ask, and they can help set up payment plans if needed. They are kind and considerate when I need to reschedule an appointment, and they always welcome my family when we enter the office. Likewise, Dr. Bridenstine makes every effort to be sure dental services are stellar. We have always had a positive experience with his sedation dentistry, and he provides a thorough explanation of options when available. We have only experienced excellence in his work, and we have appreciated how he goes above and beyond to create a positive outcome for his patients. A couple of years ago, I returned to his office two extra times at no charge just so he could alleviate some discomfort I had after a filling needed to be filed a little more delicately. While I was numb, I hadn't noticed. Yet, he made it right a second time even after I wasn't sure about it the first time I returned. Now, that's patience for your patient! All the staff members work diligently to make dental visits pleasant. I have always appreciated their use of soft, professional voices via individual headsets to prioritize communication and timeliness while maintaining privacy. The entire practice operates in a well-orchestrated manner while each employee treats one another with respect and kindness. They have created a culture of team effort that works for the good of the patient, and I highly recommend their dentistry practice. read more

After only 2 appointments I knew this wasn't the place for me. The first visit was great. I got examined, met with the dentist, and formulated a solid plan to address some dental issues I was experiencing. The second visit, not so much. The service provided was not what was planned for, and when I asked about this they insisted I was wrong. I was also told that this appointment would have an extra out of pocket cost due to what was being done, however when it came time to pay I was told nothing was due. Confused, I once again asked for an explanation but was not given one (I later found out that the extra cost was associated with a particular service that my insurance didn't cover, which I wasn't ever offered during the appointment) Irritated but with a lack of options, I decided to call to try and schedule appointment 3 of my 4 appointment plan. Only when I called in I only got more questions. What would you like to have done? What kind of an appointment are you scheduling? IM NOT A DENTIST!!!! why waste my time formulating a plan if everyone is going to ignore it and rely on me, someone who knows nothing about dentistry, to tell you what to do next? Everyone here is really nice which is why there are 2 stars and not 0 but it's like everyone in there is supposed to be working together towards a common goal only everyone has a different playbook. Completely unprofessional and disappointing, I will be switching to a new dentist down the street. If you are the type who gets a cleaning once a year or so and never has any major issues, this place would probably work for you. But for everyone else, I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I was supposed to receive a free 1st time new patient visit. But my insurance was charged.

I didn't go to a dentist for several years because the ones I went to weren't gentle and some weren't kind. I tried Perfect Smiles because close to my house. I have been going there several years now. He had to replace a 20+ year old crown that fell out. I had fillings over 40 years old that needed redone. Now I don't have the silver fillings. I no longer have a fear of going to the dentist. The first time I went they took my picture, so they call me by name when I walk in and don't have to ask. They are as friendly to me as my family. They are very gentle and patient with me. This is definitely my favorite dentist of the dozen or more I have seen in 40+ years. read more

I have a horrible phobia of dentists. I read that this was a great place to go if you get anxiety about dental work, and I can tell you it's true! Everyone there is calm and supportive and always making sure you're comfortable. Plus they do awesome work. I just got back from having a crown put in and it looks *exactly* like the old tooth (except not broken). Update August 2016: there was an insurance mixup - not Perfect Smiles's fault! - that made me think they were out of network. I went to a different dentist one time and it made me realize I've taken this place for granted. When I found out they were still in network I was so happy I cried! read more

Wow!!! This is the absolute best place to get your dental work done. They do a great job of making you feel comfortable from the minute you walk in until you leave. Isabella was my sister and I's dental hygienist and she was PHENOMENAL. Great at conversation and just making sure we were comfortable at all times, shared many laughs and made the experience a blast!!! I'm actually looking forward to going back and getting my teeth cleaned at this place. read more

I am TERRIFIED of the dentist. That is a trait that has been passed down to me from at least three generations of scaredy-cats. I did a google search for dentists in my area and I chose Perfect Smiles for a couple of reasons: 1. They have a really cool website 2. They're really close to my apartment 3. And the one that sold me; they practice 'painless' dentistry It did take several weeks before they could get me in, but I was still scared, so that didn't bother me much. Finally, the day arrived. I was a bit apprehensive, but it didn't last very long. The two women behind the counter were very kind and helpful, and most importantly...there was a giant big screen TV in the waiting room that was playing Goblet of Fire. I love Harry Potter! But it gets better...not only did I get to watch Harry while I was waiting, but I got to watch it while I was getting my teeth cleaned as well. To help wussies like me feel more relaxed, each room has a flat-screen TV in it, angled above the chair so that you can watch movies during your exam. They also have a cool little gadget with a camera on it so they can show you your teeth and point out all your cavities. Kind of gross, but still kinda cool. Dr. Bridenstine is the main dentist, and he's great as well. Before the exam he explains all of the instruments and what they do, and he's honest if something may hurt a bit. I'm not gonna lie, this place is pricey. But, I'm willing to pay a bit more for good service, DVDs, and free toothbrushes every time I visit. PS found infection in a root canal after putting a new pricey crown on it. I was given no options other than a redo of the root canal by a specialist they scheduled me with. I went elsewhere for a second opinion and was given the choice of extraction or the new root canal but I was told the new root canal would be only 30 to 60 percent successful as there could be infection beyond it which wouldn't be reached. I opted for the extraction and sure enough the infection had eaten away at the surrounding bone material which also had to be removed. Needless to say I've found a new dentist. read more

I can't say enough good things about my first visit with Perfect Smiles. First of all, my husband has had dental insurance for over a year now and not used it so I finally decided I would make an appointment for him. Initially, I called another dentist office first and the receptionist was so rude! She couldn't believe that I didn't have any of my husbands insurance information infront of me and wouldn't even schedule an appointment without talking to him! Not only that, when I told her when his lunch break was so she could call him and actually talk with him since he worked later than they were open, she still called him daily at 4pm. So after a few days of that, we got a flyer in the mail for Perfect Smiles and I called them. I talked with Sara most of the time, who was friendly and cheerful right from the beginning. It wasn't a problem that I didn't have my husbands insurance information in front of me and she so bright and funny. Then, on the day of my appointment I happened to sleep in. So I called and she just laughed and made me feel better about it. She was able to schedule me for later that day, but they happened to have an opening and she called me and got me in a bit early. When I walked in the door everyone greeted me, got me settled. I didn't wait long before I was seen. I had wonderful conversations with the woman who got me settled before the dentist came in. Their rooms are wonderful. They make sure you're comfortable with pillows and blankets and they have a TV playing a movie. The dentist was extremely professional and smiley, the exam was quick. The oral hygenist who cleaned my teeth was very concerned with making sure I was comfortable and was able to swallow enough. When I left I got a whole goody bag full of neat things. Everyone there acted like old friends, even though they'd just met me. They asked about my husband who had been their earlier in the week, even though they'd never seen us together. They were just wonderful. I've been recommending them to so many of my friends. Best Dentist office in the Kansas City area! read more

I really hate to write negative reviews but in this case I simply must. I went in for a cleaning and oral exam in June. The dentist told me I needed to have 5 cavities filled at a cost of almost $1300. MY previous trip to the dentist (Different one) I was told I had one micro-cavity to fill. So, it was surprising to hear that I needed 5 done. I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me I had a maximum of 2 cavities that needed attention and he simply couldn't figure out exactly where the dentist at Perfect Smiles Dentistry saw five. So, it was get 5 cavities filled for $1300 or 2 for $300. Someone is clearly wrong here and I hate to say it but I think they were trying to scam me. Too bad because it was a nice place. read more

I am very upset with the work that I received from perfect smiles dental care. I went in for a crown that I had to pay 1325.00 for and the first time it fell out was 3 weeks after I had the crown put in, then I thought everything was great and one week from the day I had it repaired it came out again. I call the office and of course the dr is not available. They want to schedule for it to be repaired for the 3rd time its very frustrating. I will find a new dentist never will I return there its all about the money and they do not care about you or that its frustrating to keep having the same issue over and over again. I do not recommend anyone going to perfect smiles. read more
