I scheduled my son's first dental appointment with this location over the phone and it went well. They asked for my son's insurance and set up a time for him to been seen for his first dental experience with them. When we arrived they basically told us that my son, who's a minor, can't be seen unless he had a photo identification. They never mentioned that over the phone and it wasn't on the welcome email we received the day prior. It's a huge inconvenience to drive all the way back home to get an id for a minor. Instead of wasting time and gas that could've been obtained on the next visit or sent via email. I had to drive all the way back home just for my son to keep his dental appointment. After that, they took forever to see my son. Because things weren't running smoothly, I went to the to desk to make sure that his cleaning was going to be performed as we requested when we set the appointment over the online receptionist and sure enough, it was NOT in the notes! Please know that these commercial offices lack communication with the 3rd parties that schedule these appointments. Another sign of unprofessionalism: While waiting in the lobby area, the receptionist basically told another patient that his bill is past due and she shared his balance for all of us to hear. They would see him today but after that they couldn't until he paid his. He tried to explain his case but after that exchange I knew this was NOT the place we needed to patronize. This is something that should be discussed in another room. I was embarrassed for him and his wife. My son's appointment was at 8:15 am and he wasn't seen until 8:50. They took X-rays and now I'll have to come back for his cleaning. Because this is where they take his insurance we will come back for the cleaning but after that, we are not coming back for anything else. It so hard to find good service and offices that respect the privacy of the patient and our time. Unfortunately we have to go where the insurance tells us and it's hard to pick where you want to be see I could share more but overall the experience was horrible. After seeing the doctor it was nothing but charges and things they can charge us for. WITH insurance they wanted to charge $200+ dollars for a cleaning. Never again. I'd rather take him to my dentist because at least there we won't be treated like another patient they can make money off of. read more

If you challenge things they want to charge you for, beware, they will argue, lie, personally insult you and gang up on you! The "dentist" being the most unprofessional "doctor" I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Admits not telling me I have 2 cavities behind my 2 front teeth (because I don't) because he wanted me to pay $900 for 3 fillings I didn't need! I only wanted the filing closing the gap between my 2 front teeth replaced, period!! I've had this done MANY times with no problem! He says he put a plan together without telling me because he shouldn't have to "dummy it down" for me. I don't think telling me "you have 2 cavities" is dummying anything down! He never told me, because I DO NOT HAVE 2 CAVITIES there' They wanted to charge me for a FREE routine cleaning! I'm SO SO glad I found this out before I had any work done. They just want your money! 0 stars! Not very professional, very expensive and poor quality. Had a full set of dentures made 4 years ago and since then have had 3 teeth that came out and had to be replaced. Tried to put them in this morning only to find out that the part that holds all the teeth together had cracked between the 2 front teeth. I never had any of these kind of problems with dentures that I had for 15 years. I would not recommend them to even my worst enemy. Run, don't walk away from these hucksters. read more

They lie, no such thing as same day denture repair anything fast to replace dentures. oh but they are quick to snag up your insurance and rack up X-ray charges before they even know if they can help you. In which most cases they can not help. Waste of my time! read more

Very disorganized, unprofessional and incompetent office manager. Had a 9:00AM appointment, got there 10 min early to check in, did not get brought back until after 9:30. The assistant that took care of my x-rays was amazing and very knowledgeable. I booked the appointment as a new patient and teeth cleaning. By the time the hygienist and doctor were done taking a look it was a little past 10:00, then was told I would have to reschedule for a cleaning even though that's the entire reason I was there. Which I have never experienced at a dentist before (I have moved a lot for work across the country). Waited another 30+ minutes to get seen by the office manager. I then expressed my frustration and concerns, however she was very unapologetic and seemed to not care about my experience, which is ridiculous as having to wait 1 hr 45 min at a dentist office for a cleaning. After some time away trying to figure out if I could receive a cleaning that day (as the whole reason I was there) she informed me that the hygienist was busy but doctor was able to do the cleaning, which was very nice of him and I really appreciated. Ended up leaving the office at 11:15 for my 9:00 appointment. The staff was extremely nice and very sincere for the delays, but the office manager clearly needs additional training and assistance for this to be properly resolved, as I was clearly not the only patient affected in the office. Come to find out there were additional scheduling conflicts affecting my appointment. I immediately called the patient satisfaction team when I left the office. I will not be returning to Aspen Dental. read more

I called ahead for a pop up appointment for wisdom tooth extraction and was connected with a remote call center. I made an appointment for wisdom tooth extraction. Once, I got there and gave them all of my information and told the receptionist I was there for wisdom tooth extraction. I filled out all of the forms and had my X-rays emailed to them. Once I got in the back I found out they were only able to do the basic exam and then schedule me for an extraction weeks into the future. I already had a cleaning and an exam with X-rays one week ago. And I told them this over the phone BEFORE I made an appointment. So it wound up being a waste of valuable time for everybody. read more

Worst place ever! I scheduled my appointment a couple of weeks ago and on the day of the appointment I get a call 15 minutes prior to my appointment because they had screwed up. Keep in mind that I have to schedule around work and when I told that to the person that called me she was not even willing to work with me because she was stuck on they couldn't see me. I explained to her what was going on and she said I can schedule you for another day, when I told her that I had to pick up my daughter at school and I couldn't another day because of work she didn't care and pretty much dismiss my concern. After a few minutes I ended up speaking to Joshua which ended up getting me an appointment but told me that they could evaluate me but probably wouldn't be able to do anything for me today. Needless to say how angry I am and how unprofessional this establishment is I will never ever come back to it and we'll be looking for a different dentist. read more

I used to live in Plainfield and had several fillings and crowns done there. The Dentist at the time (Dr. Sweet?) was very skilled and very caring but she was so incredibly overworked, being a single dentist in a large facility that I each appointment left me waiting in the chair between stages of treatment up to 40 minutes. Once, I was there waiting so long the numbing for my teeth prior to a filling wore off and after the "OWWWW!" she had give me another shot. I liked her manner, but after two wisdom teeth had to be pulled, they sent me to another Aspen Dental as they didn't do surgery on the day needed in Plainfield. My insurance didn't accept the other dentist, even though they are part of the same chain and I had to pay for it out of pocket. and it was close to a thousand dollars for two simple extractions with no complications. read more

My daughter and I went in for scheduled cleanings. The dentist had to wait on tools. They lost the x rays sent over from my original dentist office. My teeth are healthy and excellent. Long story short, I left with a huge bill for treatments and no cleanings. They were in the process of closing and everyone left so no one was able to clean my daughters teeth and she has braces. Mind you we made appointments!!! Stay away from this place. From the office, to the staff to the dentist. Very unprofessional, rude and unorganized dental office. I've decided to stick with private doctors, dentists and eye doctors these chains are money making rackets and filled with scam artists. They don't even deserve one star. read more

Very impersonal. They do a fine job cleaning, x rays, fillings etc. Different hygienist, and dentist frequently. You can't get that personal touch of knowing your name and your dental back ground. Big box feel and generic dental services. read more

My husband had his first appointment today and they were not personal at all. They had a very dry personality not very compassionate. I also feel they were very expensive. I was not impressed with Aspen Dental at all. The way my husband's appointment went today has made my mind up to seek dental care elsewhere. read more
