Total scam. I told the scheduler, the person at the front desk, and the dental assistant all on separate occasions that I was there to have my teeth cleaned as a new patient because my insurance runs out in 4 days. Not once was I told they don't do cleaning on the first visit until after 2 hours of time. I waited in the wiating room for an hour, immediately had my xrays done without consenting to that. Then taken to a room and waited for 20 minutes before seeing the dentist for 2 minutes. She touched one of my teeth and said I was good to go. Hygentist took another 10 minutes to come in and said I had a condition that they needed me to come back two more times to resolve. This office is a mess, beautiful office space only goes so far. I had the WORST experience here EVER!!!! I get to the office and at first everything is fine it's just ya know a dentist, but they call me back and BEFORE I GO BACK I tell the girl I'm really really anxious I've never had a tooth extracted while I was awake before etc. and she kinda brushes me off so I go back to the room and I can hear drills going in other rooms nearby, but anyway I put my stuff down and sit on the chair. She starts to apply this "numbing gel' that tastes like gasoline. So naturally I start gagging bc gross. Then she's like "oh the infection already looks better than last week" I was like yea okay can we talk a little more in depth about the procedure do you need to know meds I'm on or anything else like that and she said no it's fine. I'm like okay whatever I lay back and I'm trying to relax and this old black guy with a thick accent from, not America (not a racist thing just genuinely don't know where the accent came from) comes in and is like hello I'm gonna be doing your procedure, doesn't tell me his name or anything, starts looking at my charts etc. and then he's like "why are you getting your tooth pulled instead of getting a root canal" I'm like money is an issue. He starts numbing me with no questions no rapore or anything. Even though I'm visibly anxious and physically shaking. He just starts putting shots in and bitching at the hygienist for giving him the wrong needle type and then he's like so you know getting it removed you'll need to get an implant right. That sets off round 2 of panic attacks for the day. I can't ask questions bc I'm numbed. So I just start crying. Dad comes in and calms me down. They do the filling and that's fine but then I ask them to stop for a second to let me breathe and then I ask him to walk me through the extraction as he goes and he acts like I'm speaking Chinese backwards in Russian so I ask again and he's like well I'm just gonna pull it out. So I ask again and he's getting irritated and that's making me nervous so I start panicking again so they're like you just need to leave and go somewhere they can put you asleep to remove it because we're not doing this. Apparently a first appointment somehow doesn't include a cleaning! They want to schedule another appointment for a cleaning so that they can bill insurance twice. What kind of a checkup doesn't include a cleaning? I was there almost two hours and only got x-rays and 30 seconds with the doc. Otherwise, I was sitting and waiting and waiting. read more

Dr. Ferreira and her staff at this Aspen Dental was excellent and very affordable for my recent extraction procedure. Having tried 4 other dentists and maxillofacial practices that would not assist with the extraction, Dr. Ferreira accomplished the procedure painlessly in about 15 minutes! If I could give a zero I would. The service and the office manager are among the very worst I have ever encountered in my over 50 years of life. I made an appointment 4 days ago for a problem and confirmed last night, even received an email. When I arrived for my appointment today, they told me that it was canceled because I didn't confirm it. I showed them where I called and had a six minute conversation with them yesterday. And then where I subsequently got an email with the appointment information. They said that it was canceled and the office manager said there was nothing she could do about it. She went so far as to blame me for it being cancelled. When I told her that I have all of the receipts where I confirmed and even email she asked me if I talk to the office or if I talk to the call center. I said I talked to the people you told me to call when you left me a message. She said well they didn't confirm it and even though you have the email we have to give you a different appointment weeks out. For tooth pain. They don't honor appointments or admit they messed up. Go to a local dentist not a chain if you want respectable care start to finish. read more

This establishment falls pretty short when it comes to customer service. Were majority of them nice? Yes, but my experience started declining before I even got to the office. They send you harassing emails and texts to provide your dental insurance before the appointment. I've called for weeks and left voicemails and never heard from anyone. Once I got to reception, I notified the receptionist and she said that they probably tried calling back and left a voicemail. I can guarantee I have watched my call logs and nothing. They do move really fast in the process but no one was hospitable. They did pretty well of explaining information to be and answered all my questions. They also told me of next steps. I had to wait in the waiting room to be seen by a consultant. I waited for over 30 minutes while I saw one black woman working and everyone was giggling and chatting and on their phone. The waiting is one thing but the perception of me waiting while everyone is chatting amongst themselves is what gets me upset. The only good thing about this place was the that I saw a cute dog in the office. Other than that, I never want to come back to this place again. read more

Worst experience ever. They NEVER return calls at Tanglewood. They will schedule you for every scan/xray in the book before a consult in order to tackle a specific problem you want. You go in for something, but they want you to have a battery of these scans. And they'll expect you to pay about $2K for a deep cleaning, saying you have periodontal disease, despite not having any inflammation according to another dental office visited less than a year ago. Yes, and my insurance does not cover this. BUT, they offer no other options for you to get any other cleaning because you are supposedly past that preventive point..... Sorry, you lost me as a patient after one visit. DO NOT ever go to this place for good customer service and help improving your teeth. read more

Aspen called my son and cancelled an appointment as he pulled in the parking lot. A 40-minute drive to Aspen .... They didn't know where the dentist was and could not reschedule before the end of the year. It was important to get this appointment in because I lose my dental coverage on Dec 31 due to a layoff. I made an appointment with them they text me and said I would need to reschedule because the Dr at the Valley View office had quit and they were temporarily closed the office down. I called and made another appointment with the one at Tanglewood for July 13th I had to drive over an hour to get there and I get there and am sitting in my car waiting for them to open. My phone rings and it is Aspen Dental telling me that one of the dentist had called in and I would need to reschedule. I explained I had drove over an hour to get there was there anyway they could work me in I was told no sorry. That place is a joke. read more

Had used them several times and I was happy with services, staff and billing. Massive change today. Set cleaning and filling repair for today. Paid almost $2k up front. Put in 2 weeks advance notice with work to get time off. After waiting almost 30 minutes I am advised they do not have my chart, copies of my billing, or any other info due to a system outage. Not my problem. By way of apology they offered me an open spot tomorrow. With only a partial service done! Sorry. Charge will be disputed and I'll find someone else. Not bothering to reach out if there is a major system glitch is unacceptable. I could have adjusted plans or worked with them some other way. Unbelievable lack of care on empathy on their part. Worse experience I've ever had at any medical office ever. They charged for anything and everything. Our bill had charges on them that were wrong and months later I still haven't had a phone call returned. This has hands-down been the worse doctors office I've ever had to communicate with. I've had to go into office to get refunds when they overcharged me and wouldn't return my calls. We switched to Valley View and it's been just as bad. We have returned to our previous dentist and pay out of pocket and are actually saving money! Highly recommend you consider doing the same. Going through insurance with this company doesn't save you anything! read more
