From the X-rays and care from Carlie, hygienist visit and dentist visit were awesome and caring. We have a plan and are on our way to getting all fixed up. Don't go there! This company should be investigated for malpractice and fraudulent billing. They will charge you for treatments you didn't know. The first times I went there, they made me pay co-pays. Then, consulting my health plan, I confirmed that I have 2 cleanings and 1 consultation totally covered, including co-pays, every year. The next times, they tried again to make me pay co-pays. I thought they were just incompetent and didn't know how to check health plans. When they understood I would not be fooled, they came up with another strategy. When my daughter went there for her cleaning, they did a "deep cleaning" on her without consulting me. It is not covered by our insurance. They also made me pay that immediately, which was embarrassing because I didn't have more than $100 on me and had to call my husband to send me the rest. I will never understand why a 15-year-old girl who never had a cavity needed a deep cleaning. Then, some time after that, it was my time to get my cleaning, and the guy told me I had to pay a $100+ because mine had to be a deep cleaning as well (which I never needed before). I canceled the appointment and sought another dentist. This month, I received a bill from them and discovered that my previous cleaning there was the so-called "deep cleaning," which they never told me about. I never had the need for a deep cleaning before, and my new dentist never said anything about me needing a deep cleaning, so it was a rip-off from aspen dental. They also wanted to put braces on me, but no dentist before or after that told me I needed braces (my teeth are very straight). They never clean your teeth on the first visit. It has to be on a separate appointment. They will steal your money any way they can. read more

After abandoning Asspen and finding a team that was modern, professional AND cheaper, I got an email yesterday saying Asspen corporate lost a class action lawsuit for illegally selling our private info to 3rd parties without permission. The actual dental work if fine. No issues at all. The problem with Aspen Dental is that the scheduling, accounting and billing expertise is very poor. After four years of getting an incorrect bill following every visit - I finally moved to another dentist. Aspen dental is a scam. They do not want to refund my money and my husbands we have paid $ 4500 dollars. I have talked to Vanessa, Daniel and the Office manager Nick Cardonas to process our claims correctly so prices can be adjusted to the contract price. I canceled all future appointments. Don't trust them they reel you in that you need all this dental work. Our previous dentist never brought this up. I am working with Delta Dental to have claims processed correctly. Vanessa claims they haven't received the EOB but they do all claims electronically. Don't come to this office you'll regret it. They never return calls. When I arrived for my appointment I was informed the cleaning would happen during a separate appointment (not yet made) and that was just "how they do things." When I arrived today they took a ton of x-rays and then said they wouldn't clean my teeth because this was only a consultation. I was a previous customer and had approximately $8000.00 worth of work including partials which I asked them to fix as they had broken. I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday April 27, 2022, at 3 pm. When I got there, I was rescheduled for May 5, 2022, at 9:00 am. When I got there the Assistant Manager came up and told me to come back a t 11:00. I returned and checked in. In a few minutes I was in the back getting x-rays and was taken to an exam room. The time was 11:10 am. I waited and waited but no one came in or even walked by. At 12:00 I got up and started to look around and all the exam rooms were empty, and I could see no one in the back area. Asked an assistant if anyone knew that I was there, and she indicated that she would check. She did not come back. At 12:30 I got up picked up my things and walked to the front where I was met with the Assistant Manager (oh God), I asked her if there was a problem and that I had been in the chair for an hour and 1/2. She replied with a straight face, "we are very busy, there is a lot going on", I replied there is no one in the building to which she again stated "we are very busy I can reschedule your appointment, or I can cancel it. I was so upset. Anything could have happened to me, I could have fallen, I could have had a panic attack it could have gone real bad real, quick and no one there to respond. This review is to inform others that Aspen Dental is the very worse place you can go for dental health. If you have complaints do not talk to the Assistant Manager as she will treat you with total disregard for the patient who is also a paying customer. STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN DENTAL IN SANTA FE!!! I had a crown placed in 2018. It popped off 6 months later, I went back to the clinic to have them re-cement it. It popped off again last night. This morning I asked for my money back because I feel like I could get better service elsewhere. They will not give me my money back and want to glue this SAME crown back into my mouth!!! I went for an initial appointment and the dentist had his mask dropped below his nostrils. I gestured for him to pull it up and he then took it off. too crazy. Then I had a treatment plan. When I went back, there was a different dentist and she told me the original treatment plan was no good and she'd have to draw up a new one. Very disappointed with my experience at Aspen Dental today... First I was contacted a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would move my cleaning appointment (made 6 months prior) back two weeks... which I agreed to do in order to help make room for more urgent patients. No big deal. I contacted the office the day before my new appointment (even though I had confirmed by email already) and verified that I would only be coming in for a cleaning. and confirmed that with the (I assume office manager I had spoken with before). When I arrived at my appointment he presented me with a $200.00 plus bill for an exam and x-rays as well as a cleaning, (they collect payment up front) I reminded him I was only there for a cleaning, as discussed the day before. He then informed me, that they would (could ) not see me unless I agreed to the exam and x rays. Here's the problem...#1, I didn't need a n exam or x -rays. I think that should be my choice not theirs. #2, no one ever informed me at ANY time...not when I made the appointment 6 months ago, not when THEY requested to change it, nor in any communication of any kind to me that this would be a requirement in order to get my already scheduled cleaning done. This has to be the most disorganized dental office I have ever seen. I tried to use them but each time there was an excuse. Twice they said my appointment was miscoded as an emergency visit and not a routine visit so they could not see me but rescheduled. Both times, I gave them my insurance information (once over the phone when they called to confirm). The last time I went in for my appointment, they had it coded right but asked for my insurance information again, which I did not have since I had given to them twice before (and was told we have it now). So, the receptionist told me I must be mistaken and I must have been only told they accepted my insurance (wrong since I was specifically called to provide this information once over the phone and then in the office). Corporate dental is a total rip-off. This company is charging top dollar premium fees for standard dental work, calling it "in-depth care". A basic cleaning is $163 + tax! They hope you have insurance so they can charge your insurance this ridiculous rate and you'd never know. Being uninsured I'm sensitive to pricing and just like I thought the private practice across the street baseline charge for a standard cleaning is literally half the price! Its companies like Aspen Dental that are responsible for and take advantage of the extremely high pricing of health services in this country. They're professionals. I scheduled an appointment for a check-up and found out I had peridontal (gum) disease, and I got it treated immediately after applying for Dental Care Finance. Thank you very much for the treatment and the antibiotics to treat and save my gums and teeth from the periodontal disease. Also, for the oral care as well, such as the oralB genius electric tooth brush, the prescribed mouthwash and the fluoride toothpaste. I appreciate the great work from the hygienist and the staff (including the Doctors' of course).
