My first impression, as I was walking towards the office, is that it is not professionally, or otherwise, cleaned. Furthermore, the floors were filthy, and this was on a Monday morning. Moreover, I had joined the savings plan. However, when I was presented with the bill, and I said that I was under the impression that x-rays, etc., were free, I was told that they are 20% off. Online, the plan clearly states that the x-rays and exam are free. Of course, the bill was not itemized. There was also a charge on my bill for work that the doctor said might have to be done in the future!!! This brought the bill up to $4500.00. I quickly stated that I was not having that work done at present, so Natalie deducted it. However, my bill was still a whopping $1600.00 dollars. That was for the exam, x-rays. cleaning, and 2 fillings. As a retired widow on a fixed income, I must say that such a fee is difficult to manage, but I paid the entire balance, rather than have to pay interest over the course of the next few months. Frankly, I would have walked out if I had not lost a filling from a front tooth. There also seemed to be a great deal of confusion. There was only one dentist on my first visit, so I could not have my filling replaced. I was given two appointments for the following day: 9AM cleaning, and 10AM fillings. When the hygienist completed the cleaning, she said, "I see that your fillings will be done at 11. I quickly protested, and that problem was rectified. When I met with the dentist, who obviously had not even glanced at my health history, she asked the same questions I had been asked the day before. She asked if I had any allergies, and if I take any medication and have any health problems. When I answered "no" to the two latter questions, she just stared at me. I repeated my answer, and she continued to stare, and said "Not even blood pressure?" I told her that I am very healthy and take excellent care of myself. Finally, when she was about to start working on me, she stated that the tooth minus the filling wasn't even listed under the work she was supposed to do!!! I said that that tooth was the reason for my visit! It seems that the dental assistant had recorded the wrong tooth!!! When all was done, she just walked out, and rushed to the next patient. I could mention more, but I am sure you can see why I will not be recommending Aspen Dental to my friends -- maybe my enemies! read more

I visited Aspen Dental last year for a routine teeth cleaning. After taking multiple X-rays, they told me that I needed to pay $900 upfront for additional procedures that weren't covered by my insurance--before they would proceed with any treatment. I refused to pay, and despite never receiving any services beyond the X-rays, they later sent me a $275 bill, which has now been sent to collections. I absolutely refuse to pay these charlatans for something they never did. All I wanted was a simple teeth cleaning. Frustrated, I went to another local dentist, where I received a full cleaning, including X-rays, without paying a single penny out of pocket. A follow-up visit to address minor cavities cost me just $139--still far less than the $900 Aspen Dental tried to claw out of me. Aspen Dental operates more like a high-pressure used car sales joint than a legitimate healthcare provider. They even had someone on-site running credit checks, as if taking out a loan was a routine part of dental care. There are plenty of more honest affordable, alternatives available. If you're looking for ethical and reasonably priced dental care, please, stay away from these folks!!! Based on my experience, they are just about money. read more

Absolutely the worst, sorry excuse of a medical facility i have ever been to. Went for a cleaning and left without seeing the hygienist and seen by two doctors trying to get me to remove my top wisdom teeth that are not affecting my mouth in any negative way. Refused to give me my money back for a service they did not give. Told me the $29 was to see the doctor, what type of logic is that... Rude and arrogant staff with little to no knowledge on how to run a medical office or accommodate patients. They give a pity "we will figure this out with our staff and try to make the patient experience better. Meanwhile they walk away with your money and will treat you like garbage when you leave. Father had his dentures made there and had oral surgery 3 weeks ago and was told by the surgeon that if his dentures don't fit he will have to get them adjusted. Been calling for the last 2 weeks to get an appointment to have adjustments made to his dentures so he can eat because the dentures are now tight after dental surgery and causes him pain. We have left numerous messages with no return call. We had to show up at the office only to get an appointment 2 & 1/2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Extremely frustrated that my father can't eat/chew because nobody would answer the phone or at the very least call back to schedule an appointment. Had someone called him back, his dentures cold have been adjusted by now. read more

Part 1 Aspen Dental Stroudsburg pa 2-19-24 I went to Aspen Dental to get implants overdenture. I was told I wasn't a candidate for implants. Comfilytes dentures were suggested due to loose fittings. $1567 was the balance insurance didn't pay. From the day I walked in there and got complete dentures was 10 days. Called numerous times to come in for a slight adjustment on dentures and an issue with the bill. No response I went to the office & told Erin the receptionist that I had been calling and leaving messages. She said oh we got your message Gina but u forgot to leave your number. Yeah ok. Seriously. I was given an app for adjustment on 3-26-24. I explained I was leaving on 3-27 to visit my son and grandson for 3 weeks. The insurance paid the bill on 2-29 and my share was $1300. I was charged $267.00 more. I spoke to Natalie about the bill being over and needed this taken care of immediately as the interest rate on the loan was 29.99%. She stated that they were not paid yet and that when paid they would adjust the bill. Now insurance shows payment processed on my Aetna app on 2-29Again Natalie explained that it can take up to 30 days to process. As soon as I left I called the insurance & they said it was processed on 2-29-24 and payment went out on 3-02-24 and cashed on 3-7-24. I went on 3-26-24 to get an adjustment and spoke to Natalie about my bill. Explained that there was a cone X-ray on there then taken off when I couldn't get implants. Almost a month after getting dentures to get in for adjustment they didn't even adjust then they went straight to a reline. Told I could pick my dentures up the following afternoon. I explained I went over this a few times. I'm leaving town tomorrow. She said my teeth would be ready by 11 am. I put dentures in my mouth and omg it was as if they were not mine. I told them I needed to see someone. I didn't get to the back room until noon. They were all rough as if a child finished them. I HAVE HAD DENTURES 9 YEARS AND NOT A NEW USER. I told her this and she said no worries we will fix it. She came back and TOP DENTURE JUST FELL OUT OF MY MOUTH. No suction these were worse than before they relined it. The bottom hurt so bad as if this were not my teeth. I'm crying at this point and another lady comes in and says that they will have their advanced lab technician reline in but won't be ready for two days. I'm in tears now and telling them again I'm catching a plane to North Carolina in a few hours and won't be home until 4-13 Then a different lady comes in trying to small talk I'm beyond upset. My whole visit is ruined. My dentures only needed adjustment and now they ruin them. I can't have pictures done. I can't go out to eat with these teeth that just fall out or hurt. I'm crying. They assured me all would be taken care of like it was no big deal and gave me an appointment for 4-15-24 at noon. NO BIG DEAL FOR THEM. I spoke to the manager bout my dentures and how upset I was then went over the bill with her and that service was taken off. To do was pick them up at the front desk. I was so upset with everything. I was told by the manager she would put a ticket in and get this all taken care of and would call me next week to let me know. OF COURSE, I HEARD NOTHING. The wait in the waiting room was delayed because of a problem with a piece of equipment and they apologized profusely for the delay. Aspen Dental is the worst. They are initially very nice, they suck you in with a free initial exam, smiles and payment plans, however beware, they are ONLY interested in your money. It is basically a tooth factory. After the initial free consultation, which they do free because they will come up with a treatment plan that includes things you never heard of and don't need. By the the time you walk out, you are a few thousand dollars in, wrapped up in a payment plan and promises that Dr. Chueiri is the best Dentist around and he cares about his patients, NOT. Every time I came in, it was like ground hog day. No one knows what I am there for, and I get a different dentist each time. The right hand does not know what the left is doing. They started doing a procedure on me one day without even looking in my chart to see what the treatment plan was. I had to educate Dr. Chueiri, and instead of apologizing, he got all flustered and walked out. He came in and did what needed to be done. In the MIDDLE of this procedure, Dr. Chueiri told me I might have to pay more money for something that wasn't told to me by the last two dentists at Aspen that examined me. I was in tears. I was frustrated and so upset that I was taken advantage of. I called the main office and let them know what happened and that it is unacceptable. About a month into my treatment I received a letter from Aspen Dental letting me know they do not want to treat me any longer and I am not allowed to come into any of their facilities. No reason, no explanation, nothing. The only thing I can think of, is they were worried I was going to get a lawyer and sue them, which I am now considering. I was basically dropped in the middle of my planned treatment. That alone should tell you how much they really DON'T care about your well being. Do yourself a favor, go to a real dentist. A dentist that knows who you are when you walk in, and does the right thing. Many dentists offer payment plans, don't be fooled by their willingness to take your money and have you pay high interest payments. If you were not aware, a few years ago a class-action lawsuit accused Aspen Dental of illegally owning dental practices and of deceiving patients.Look it up.I don't know if that was the only lawsuit, but if I had to guess, probably not. I got my wisdom teeth and four crowns done here. I was told my insurance would cover everything but the sedation witch I payed for. A few months later I get two different bills and none of them add up . So now I have a $1400 bill. My teeth are also worse off anytime drink warm cold or sweet things my teeth are now in pain also I have had crowns before and these ones feel very cheap. My review is a several years old but still feel compelled to share. I had obtained dental insurance but Aspen was the only local dentist that accepted my insurance. After my exam, they presented a treatment plan....wait for it..... over $18,000. According to them I had massive periodontal disease, needed several crowns, etc etc. I was shocked because I take meticulous care of my teeth and have no gum issues that I know of. But they have a payment plan. How convenient! So I got a second opinion without mentioning Aspen Dental's recommendations. Guess what! No periodontal disease, in fact I was told my gums are very healthy with normal pockets. I did have a small cavity. My advice would be to run as fast as you can away from this practice. read more

I arrived at Aspen for a 9am appointment and they said I was supposed to be there at 8am, instead. I showed them the email and text that said 9 but they didn't care said it was wrong. Any way after waiting for bout an hour they called me back and took some xrays and I seen the doctor. Said they could save some of my teeth but the best option was to do a complete removal and dentures. Seemed very professional and they were courteous. Then said with my insurance and dental savings plan it would be 12k and I said no way and left. About two weeks later I received mail stating that I had missed an appointment and there is a FEE for this and I would have to pay before any other appointments could be made. I wish I can give negative stars!! My primary dentist wrote me a referral for an endodontist, because I was having severe tooth pain and he wanted the specialist to evaluate and treat me. I was ecstatic when my insurance company said that aspen dental has an endodontist who is local and covered by my insurance. I was even more relieved when I made the appointment for the same day, because I was in severe pain. The appt they gave me was late in the day, 4:00 pm. When I got called back they started to attempt a full mouth x-ray. I stopped them to let them know that my dentist took xrays that morning and that I have them with me for the endodontist to review. This is when they told me that their endodontist only comes once a month, and he was not in today. Now, mind you, I was in severe pain, and was expecting to see an endodontist, and now it was past normal office hours, so it was too late to go anywhere else. Their excuse was that the call center that handles appointments was not at this location and likely didn't know the endo schedule. Absolutely ridiculous!!! All they wanted was to bill my insurance for xrays and an exam, then reschedule me when their endodontist was in town. I do not recommend this place!!!! read more

Now it's Tuesday I am working I finally get to my messages around 4:00,guess what a voicemail from aspen telling me to call the office to confirm my appointment for tomorrow and if they don't hear from me by 2pm they are going to cancel my appointment. I had a dental emergency. In 11/2020 Aspen did a crown on me on my front tooth. I called there and spoke with the manager, Miriam. I explained my condition to her, that we had moved an hour and a half from them, but she Assured me that they would most definatly be able to put my crown back on with no charge to me. Upon arrival no one in the waiting room or staff excluding the medical doctors had masks on. They took me back to the room took xray of my tooth told me the doctor would be right back. An hour of waiting the dr came back and said he would have to check with Mirium the manager. The Dr didn't even come back to see me he sent the assistant back to tell me there would be a charge and he didn't have time tovdo it today because he was too busy?? That the Mgr Mirium would be back to see me. A half hour later no Mirium. I got my tooth went to the consultation desk explained the situation to her, she went in and spoke with Mirium, then came out and told me Mirium was with a client and couldn't speak with me and would call me. Needless to say I am very upset!! I checked in Miriums office upon leaving and she was on the phone not with a client. I told the girl that I should be given some type of refund for all the gas we spent to get there. They didn't care employyees goofing around laughing not professional. No uniforms no name tags very casual dress. I had to use the restroom, it was just as filthy as the place urine on the floor distgusting. Its been24 hours and not even a call back from this manager Mirium. Its horrible we drove a total of 3 hrs and me waiting around for almost two hours to be told they were too busy to put my crown back on. This entire staff should be fired, very unprofessional. Definatly not caring and compassionate as their website states! I even tried to reach out to corporate office and have not heard from them as well. I wish I could give them a negative 100, because they are a disgrace to the dental industry !!!!! Mind you this was a dental emergency my crown just fell out on Sunday 10/09/2022! If I could give them no stars I would. Switched jobs for a kickass dental plan so I could finally get my wisdom teeth out as all 4 were impacted and one gives me issues. When I was in the chair the surgeon refused to do the surgery and instead gave me muscle relaxers for the pain in my jaw saying it was TMJ not my wisdom teeth. Thousands of dollars later and pain since I left the office in my neck and it turns out I have a serious infection that no one caught. Tried to get me for 2 false cavities though. When I ask for the promised treatment for the infected tooth as promised when I did not get the surgery I was told I need to come in to see the doctor again.
