When the scariest thing about going to the dentist is the risk of not finding a parking space, you know you are in good hands. Now I will admit, when I scheduled my first appointment a month ago, the Boulevard traffic and tight parking lot were not my biggest fears. I was more concerned about how I hadn't gone to the dentist in longer than I care to admit (insurance issues, nobody taking new patients during Covid and then finally my own fear) and how I was going to get ridiculed by everyone for the horrendous mistakes I had made. Let me reassure you, this is not the case. Anxious me was thrilled to learn that you can request an appointment online without having to call. They will call to check base with you before your original appointment, and they do like to confirm appointments, which I was able to do without calling during office hours. I work a day shift job and was relieved to find their scheduling accommodates the working man. I went in on a Tuesday morning, ready to cry. I checked in at the desk with little hassle. The paperwork (or in this case tablet work) is straightforward, and despite my fuzzy memory of my records, I was cleared for the insurance check and escorted into the back. The first stop was x-rays. I'll admit, it is not the most comfortable thing, little tools stabbing into gums, though they do their best to make it quick and make sure you are okay. At one point my eye balls started to leak and I was given a tissue. Two x-ray rooms later I was moved into a third room to get prodded at some more. Many numbers were rattled, and while it was explained to me that they weren't the best scores, at no point did I feel talked down to, nor ridiculed. I had to pay half as deposit before scheduling my next visits. I find their pricing to be reasonable, and they even discussed how their is assistance in billing for those that need it. The rest was due at my third appointment, paid by card before they complete the work. I returned a week later to have the first half of a deep cleaning done. My gums are not the best, and they started with the left side. I opted out of the numbing for this visit, and the pain was tolerable. The insertion of the medicine hurts the worst. For my return visit I did go for the numbing, as the right side is a bit worse, and it does take the edge off for those who can not tolerate it. Huge appreciation to Phan who has both excellent personality and technique, assuring my comfort throughout the duration of my third visit. She answered all of my questions, offered up some toothpaste and mouthwash and seems genuinely happy to help people get better smiles. Sure, it isn't the stickers and pencils I got at my childhood dentist, but she paid attention to my aversion to mint (they make fruity toothpaste!) and took care to get every last flaw she could to leave me with results to be proud of. I also had to get treated for teensy weensy cavities, a preventative measure before things escalate. Again, the staff had great bedside -chairside?- manner and expressed repeated concern for my comfort. I came in a few weeks ago worried, with the only shred of hope being a decorative sign reading "you got this" and have left confident knowing I am on the right path to better dental hygiene. read more

Appointment was today at the Niagara Falls Boulevard office. I asked BEFORE they pulled 6 teeth if I was going to get real painkillers because I knew I was going to be in excruciating pain. And a real dentist would know this, too. She told me yes. I said I'll need to change my appointment if you won't prescribe pain meds. Again, she said yes. After the teeth came out and I left the office, heading to my pharmacy, she said no. The other dentist (Dr Jeremy) that can prescribe the pain meds apparently doesn't trust her--another dentist in the same office--and also won't prescribe them. So the assurances of the dentist who pulled all these teeth, causing all this pain, mean nothing at all. I'll never step foot in an Aspen again. read more

I went to Aspen as a referral from a friend. They told me that a tooth needed to be removed that wasn't giving me problems. I went along with it. That removal was next to a tooth that had already been removed making the gap larger. I was offered a partial to fill the space. It's been an absolute headache. Firstly the partial was close to $2,000. My second issue is that's it's painful when I have it in. I've been back several times for adjustments and still, if I have it in to long it become uncomfortable and it's painful if I attempt to eat with it in. The last time I went back for an adjustment the nurse was clearly frustrated that I continued to state it hurt so she went and got the doctor. He was able to make it a bit more comfortable but it's still painful when I attempt to eat with it. Attached is a photo of the jagged edges that scratch my gums. For nearly $2,000, I'd like something that's more than just cosmetic and something that actually helps with chewing. This has been an awful experience with this company. read more

My crown was reordered 5 times and they still didn't get it right in the lab. Front staff are rude and dishonest about policies in the office. I need to go somewhere I feel safe and trust that the services I receive are exactly what they were communicated as. I gave them chance to fix these things. I am done! I went into the office for my first visit in September. When I entered the office and was greeted by the reception Makayla. I gave her my name, her immediate response was in a snappy tone, you're appointment was cancelled, you can't be seen. Nicole immediately stepped in and started, we can see her and explained that the office makes two attempts to confirm the appointment. No one called my home to confirm the appointment. I was then taken in to have my teeth checked, as imprints were being done, Makayla comes to the door of the room and states, again in a snappy tone, "you're insurance was cancelled, you'll have to pay $29.00. I responded by stating "that's fine". After I had been seen by the technicians, and it was explained to me what needed to be done, I was directed to Nicole who then went over the cost of what needed to be done as well as my insurance along with other payment options. On 10/8/25 I returned for my second visit. My appointment was @10:a.m. I arrived early and waited 2 hours before I was seen, but that was not the problem. When I sat down with Nicole , again we were going over the cost of what the services would be , what my insurance would cover, but she was unclear as to why she was not seeing the codes for the partials . She called my insurance company twice, after the second time, Nicole stated that the insurance company would mail me the information and that I would receive it in two weeks, and then I could give her the information. Meantime she is making me aware of care credit, as she did on my first visit. It was very clear that she had become frustrated. I then stated to her, that I needed to know the exact amount that I would have to pay because I would probably pay out of pocket. At that point she responded " out of pocket!.". I told her thank you and I left the office. That following Monday I called the office and spoke with Phan whom I told that I had the information that Nicole needed. Phan then informed me that Nicole would not be coming into the office on that day. but she would leave her a message to call me. I called the office again a week later and spoke to Mykala, who stated that they have been short staff. I called the office again for the third and final time this morning when they opened and spoke with Shay, who stated that" Nicole would be in , in about 15 minutes and that she would mention it to her". This is definitely not a company who I would want to continue to interact with, based on the employees actions. This is due to me stating that out wout pay out of pocket for the remaining of my cost. All I can say is communication needs to be improved. The place is clean. Prior to this dental office, I believe this place knew what they're talking about when you need care for your teeth. Went to Aspen to have my partial fixed as a piece was broken along gum line. They fixed broken piece. When i tried the partial on it kept slipping. The Dentist (Dr. Syed) said they would have to order little rubber pieces to hold partial in place. She said it would take about 2 weeks. After almost three weeks later they called to say they could not get piece from their vendor. Well after spending $162.00 I have a useless partial. Had I known this in advance I would have never spent the money to have it fixed. Of course they offered to make me a new partial for $1639! I would say stay away from this place! read more

Every individual person I interacted with at this location was perfectly kind. However, I question Aspen's business practices as a whole. I scheduled my first appointment with them and was disappointed to learn that they could not clean my teeth. They took x-rays and examined my mouth. They told me I have multiple cavities and some sort of gum issue. They said I needed to schedule my cleaning ASAP so my gums didn't get any worse. This was alarming, because my last cleaning was just over six months ago, and I've never had a cavity or gum issue in my life. I'm not the type of person who thinks I know more than trained professionals. But the people at Aspen were impersonal and didn't describe what these issues were or why I would be having them (i.e.: Am I not flossing enough? Am I brushing incorrectly? Can this just happen with age?). They just pushed me right over to reception and stuck me with the bill. I decided I would take my money elsewhere. I just went to a reputable private practice and they actually cleaned my teeth, told me my gums are perfectly healthy, and said that I have no cavities. It was like night and day. I've had a total of 3 cleaning appointments and a wisdom teeth removal in the span of a year and a half, ALL of which I received a phone call 10-15 minutes before my original appointment time asking me to reschedule (yes even the wisdom teeth removal that my mother and I both took off of work for). My third cleaning was scheduled for months and when I showed up to this appointment I was told that I had to reschedule again because there was no one there to do a cleaning and the desk person had claimed to try and call me numerous times and leave voicemails about it, when I in fact had zero missed called and zero voicemails from Aspen, she straight up lied to my face about this. Staff was nice. A woman came in and measured my gums for gingivitis, found only 1 that measured 4, and she marked bleeding on my gums but she also poked them with a sharp metal point so of course they bled. she informed me i had gingivitis and recommend a "deep cleaning" (my dad came here only once before and warned me they would do this.) I need a lot of work done and i did come in with pain. I have dental insurance that covers 2 free cleanings for the year. When i sat down with the Financial Manager, she told me they will NOT let me get my free cleaning, but i will have to pay $300 for 2 separate sessions of deep cleaning, which also bundled in a $125 oral b toothbrush that i didnt want to buy. I told her i dont have $300 to spend on a cleaning, i have pain now and far more pressing issues than a deep cleaning. She proceeded to tell me they WILL NOT WORK ON MY TEETH AT ALL (cavities, crowns, nothing) UNTIL I SPENT THE $300 ON THE DEEP CLEANING FIRST! I knew immediately i cannot trust them bc this is not a normal practice at the several dentist office's ive visited in my life. I may need a deep cleaning, probably do. But the fact that they REFUSED to work on anything until i paid $300 for a cleaning is totally unacceptable! read more

DO NOT USE DENTAL FIRST CREDIT AT ASPEN! My husband went there for work, they PRE CHARGED him $3,300 for work he had not had done yet and was scheduled to have that work done over a month and a half. So instead of being charged at the end of each appointment Aspen dental charged the full amount to Dental First and now has almost $100 worth of interest racked up when he only had one root canal done so far. Needless to say I canceled all his appointments, had the remaining amount refunded but unfortunately he is still stuck with the interest charges. I never heard of a dentist office charging before work was even done. Decent people working there but what a complete RIP OFF. read more

Absolute rippoff! My wife went just for a consultation. They ran an estimated bill up on all her alleged dental issues they wanted over $5,000.00 for issues that we found out later by going to a legitimate and honest dentist. Kenmore dental group evaluated her alleged issues provided by Aspen and they scoffed at the bill and the alleged issues. They stated her oral health was excellent and we have since been loyal clients of Kenmore dental. They're honest, competent and very reasonably priced. Very disappointed with the whole experience. The receptionist girl who made and appointment kind of confused the times, afterall I had to wait for almost an hour before I went in for an xrays and check up. It was the first time im there, since my baby was breastfeeding at that time I was not happy to spend my time by the entrance waiting for rude unproffesional staff members to check my teeth and to get an xrays. If I could give this place less stars I would! I set up an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled at this place and they apparently "never put me on the list" and the surgeon has left. Bare in mind they already billed us for this procedure! And the woman who told me that I wasn't on the list was the same woman who set up the appointment! Computer errors my ass! If they were apologetic maybe just maybe I would've considered returning but nope never going again! I starved myself the whole day for this appointment! No one likes dental work. I had to get a wisdom tooth extracted and the nurses, receptionist and doctor were all pleasant. The procedure only took 4/5 minutes but the doctor kept my mind off the procedure by asking silly questions. It was great bed side manor. read more

One star is what they deserve. My wife went there for first check up and got back with 5000$ worth a payment plan (even with insurance) for treatments she apparently needed. But I advised her to go to different dental company and compare the results. After some time we went to different dentist and she gave us treatment plan for around 500$ and we are completely treated my wifes teeth. Disgusting how they were trying to sell 200$ worth tooth brush without telling you that its optional! I've never written a review on yelp before, but after going to Aspen Dental I was absolutely compelled to do so. It was absolutely the worst experience. It is a heartless corporate shell of a place. First of all, the customer service is exceptional. Just like walking into an apple store or a Best Buy. They pounce on you. But, little did I know I would soon get the feeling like they were desperate for my money. The dentist that first took a look around said I had excellent teeth and that I obvious brush frequently and floss. They then had me test an electric tooth brush. At first I had passed on the invitation as I own an electric toothbrush and I honestly didn't really care, but they persisted to insist. After giving in and using it they then tried to sell me the new electric toothbrush, when I told them I already had one and I was fine with mine. They insisted theirs was better and I needed to buy it. When I asked them how much, they told me $150+. I told them there was no way I was buying their toothbrush. They made me feel like I was cheap and couldn't afford it, as if they couldn't believe I wasn't reaching in my pocket and graciously forking over the cash. After that they asked me if I wanted an extra optional procedure and gum cleaning and check up/cancer screening for only $20. I hesitantly agreed and a "specialist" came in and did a 5 minute procedure that seemed pointless to me. She just individually went through my mouth feeling my face and gums. I really feel like that was a gimmick. After everything was done. They told me I had 3 cavities and that I needed an extraction. But, they couldn't fill my cavities or extract my broken tooth without them treating my gums with antibiotics, a procedure that would cost $1000+. You see the "gum doctor" went through the gums align my teeth one by one giving them a score. 1-5. 1 being the lease amount of swelling a 5 being the most. 2-3 was completely normal a 4 was minor swelling and 5 was major. She showed my the chart. Every tooth had a score of 1 or 2 but I had one tooth with a 4 and the tooth next to it had a 3. I told them I would not pay for the procedure and that I wanted a second opinion. I know this review is long, but I'm trying to articulate my experience as best I can so you understand. This ALL felt like a gimmick to me. They, in the end worked it out that it would cost $5000+ to do all the work on my teeth. They pushed me for a payment plan. They have a person there who's sole job is "SALES" I could tell her job was to talk me into all this. She made me feel like an impoverished sad person because I wasn't willing to work out a car payment sized payment plan with her. I think she definitely works on commission. I wouldn't have cared too much about everything. Yea, I'm sure they take advantage of weak willed individuals but the point is I told her the work I wanted done and SHE REFUSED. They would NOT fill my cavities or extract the broken tooth without treating my gums with that procedure. All because of someones opinion that the swelling on the side of one of one of my teeth in "her opinion" scored a 4. I could write more but I think you get it. read more

AMAZING!!! I had lost my front teeth and was very upset. Im only 42!! This office got me in within an hour of me calling them. They rushed a partial denture and i had it 2 days later (thanks to Brittany). The denture fits and looks amazing. They also helped with discounting my price since i did not have insurance and only had so much money to spend. I couldnt be happier. This place saved my self-esteem and my spirit. Unfortunate that you can't rate 0 stars, because I would be if I could. Greedy, money-hungry business. During this whole Covid pandemic finding a dentist open for emergency work has proven difficult, so we were very happy to hear my husband could be taken within less than a week for an appointment. My husband has an artificial heart valve so any mouth problem is a time sensitive matter. He goes in & they take him right back for an xray. No questions about what insurance he has or how it will be paid for, just gives the xray. Then they come in to tell him that he needs one of a few options but for this or that option, he would need a specialist, but for the other options they could do it for a fee since they don't accept his insurance. Doesn't ask prior to all this at the front desk like other medical offices. The cost would've been over $350 in the end. Might not seem like too much to some, but when you're not working due to the pandemic, it's more than we've got. The only payment plan they offered was running his credit for a credit card he didn't ask for. So we walked out with no answers or help with getting this tooth out. And if they try to bill for the cost of the xrays, that's a joke & my husband never signed a damn thing giving them permission to do it for there to be a bill. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to them. It's not worth wasting your time because all they are looking for is how much you've got in your wallet. read more

It was positive experience. I don't like going to the dentist, but I was able to go in and handle my business without any muss and fuss. I had a tooth extracted and someone stayed afterwards and talked to me to make sure I was clear on what to do afterwards. Aspen dental is awful! At the first appointment i had, i saw a male doctor who took looked at my x-rays and said i had a few cavities that needed to be filled and that my wisdom teeth needed to come out. Perfect, things were golden. At my next appointment with them i saw a female doctor who i loved but she transferred) who said i had more then just a few cavities. I wasn't surprised i had cavities because i hadn't been to a dentist in 5 years, but the fact that the male doctor had missed all these cavities was unsettling to me. I spoke to the female doctor and the office manager about it who said "we are sorry, he just missed them." I brushed it of and continued to go there. I had a problem with one of the filings so the female doctor put a sedative filing in. It was really nice of the doctor and office manager to do the sedative filing at no charge to my insurance company because i had a problem with the original filing. The female doctor told me that the sedative filing was going to be in for 6 weeks and then it would be replaced with a permanent filing. She advised me that it might shift because its like a clay. Things were beautiful and i had no pain. 4 weeks into the sedative filing, it had shifted. I had a small amount of pain while it shifted and then no more pain. Still i called to let them know, and they said to come in. At the time of my appointment, i saw the male doctor who said that if i had pain that he wouldn't put a normal filing in. I explained to him that i did not have any pain anymore, but still he insisted on another 6 weeks of sedative filing. In the new year i decided that i wanted to go to a new dental clinic closer to home. I called them to say i would be in to pickup my records/x-rays and the woman on the line said ok and that they would have them ready for me. I work at a hospital so my emergencies didn't coincide with their hours. I called a week later and apologized for the fact that i hadn't been in and told them the day i would be there. The woman on the phone said no problem and she would leave a note. That day comes and i walk into Aspen and see a sign that says the office staff is in a meeting and they would be with me shortly. I WAITED 30 MINUTES before any walked by the counter. The assistant that walked by the counter was EXTREMELY nice and said he would get the office staff. They said they would be right now. 8 minutes late (and yes, i counted) they finally came out while i was on the phone with my new dentist asking if i should just come without the records. Clearly that didn't sit right with the receptionist because she very rudely said to me "well sorry, we were in a meeting." Clearly they were in a meeting. Im not an idiot, i can read the sign. There was no need for her passive aggressiveness. She then went to print the x-rays (which should have already been printed) and of course, they run out of ink so i only got half my x-rays. She did apologize and say that if the other clinic wanted my other x-rays that they would email them. That was nice of her seeing as they are not supposed to do that, but they were supposed to be ALREADY printed, seeing as i called twice. If that is not protocol, they should have informed me of that on the phone when i called TWICE. OR, they should educate their office staff on protocol. Clearly, i had a terrible experience here and im very glad i transferred to a different clinic. I have to say, the dental assistants at Aspen dental were fantastic. read more

all the dentists and hygienists ive had here have over the past few years been really good, especially the hygienists, who take a really long time with you and explain things well. where the three stars come from is the fact that there are tons of hidden fees and costs that lots of private dentists usually include in a routine visit that aspen considers to be extra. sometimes the staff does not explain that a certain thing is optional/ an extra fee until it shows up at the end on your bill. the billing people are usually super great and will take it off your total if you explain that you were not given an estimate or explanation of the costs, but i find this really stressful and it also puts those who work billing in a tight spot, which is not fair for them. another thing to be mindful of is that visit time can be extremely long. i was in for an exam and cleaning and it took over 2 hours. I had the day off so it wasn't a big deal but if you were scheduling during your lunch period it could pose a problem. all in all, the staff is great and my teeth were well taken care of, but it seems the company itself and the way it has its offices run is less than stellar, which affects overall experience. i would recommend them since they take most insurances but definitely be careful during the visit and ask the costs of each thing going on to prevent surprises at the end. read more
