Looks like I skipped the every 6 month dental cleaning visit for nearly 18-24 months due to COVID! Very strange for me. I try to stay on top of dental care. My last visit was right when the Pandemic hit in 2020! I've always liked the really clean feeling you get after the hygienist appointment- yeah I'm weird! I don't mind going to the dentist! I take good care of my teeth. If home, brushing after most meals. Use a good electronic spin brush, they are the best! Flossing almost daily. Very important to floss! Having had braces as a child, I feel comfortable with dental care and visits to the dentist. Every hygienist I've had at Inspire has done a great job, gentle and thorough cleaning. Easy to get appointments. Plenty of parking. Welcoming and bright waiting area. Friendly and easy service. Bill your insurance carrier if you have dental coverage. I've only had regular cleanings here and maybe once a cavity filling years ago. I cannot speak to what the dental surgery is like here, never had any. The dentists at Inspire are nice and professional in my experience. read more

Unprofessional, botched work, and an absolute run-around.I had an appointment on 5/26 at the Amherst office with Dr. Zaman to remove and replace my composite veneer. Only after she removed my existing tooth material did she bother to check if she actually had a matching composite color in stock. She did not.She then struggled significantly to shape the new tooth to match my other front tooth, explicitly stating to me that she "is not used to doing square teeth." After three failed attempts in the chair, I left. Over the weekend, it became clear how badly she botched the job--I was left with a visible, uneven gap in the front of my mouth.When I called to reschedule and fix this, Dr. Zaman personally called me back and stated she would rather just issue me a full refund so I could go elsewhere. However, on the day of my rescheduled date, the office called me twice asking why I missed the appointment. The front desk had absolutely no record or knowledge of Dr. Zaman offering a refund.Nobody in this office knows what is going on. I am currently out $551, walking around with a botched front tooth, and being given the run-around by management. I want my $551 refunded immediately so I can pay a competent dentist to fix this mess. Avoid this location. read more

Will be calling in the am. A male doctor named "doctor lee" was the absolute most rude doctor I've ever come across in my 44 years. I hope no one has to ever deal with him. He should not be working with the public. His interaction alone with me makes me want to leave this group I've been at for years because of how awful he made me feel. After scanning reviews I see there are several complaints about him. I will definitely be mentioning this when I call in the morning. Rarely have to wait more than 5-10minutes. - Exam rooms and equipment appear modern and clean. - Kind/friendly hygienists - One of very few dentist offices in the Northtowns that have both adult and pediatrict dentistry in the same office. Very convenient. Cons: - Hard to find a near-term appointment if you need to reschedule. Yes you can be put on a text wait list, but otherwise, if you have to reschedule due to a conflict, plan for the rescheduled appointment to be 5-6 months away. - They stopped accepting a very popular (and affordable) dental insurance plan. For this reason alone we have started looking for alternative dentists to go to. read more

I love this location! It's not the closest to me but I make the drive since it's only twice a year. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are easy to talk to and make patients feel comfortable. I see Sam the dental hygienist and she's wonderful! Going to the dentist isn't my favorite but she makes it better. Had my wisdom tooth surgery two years ago with inspire. Confirmed prior to the surgery, which was medically necessary, that they accepted both my medical and dental insurance TWICE. Surgery itself was awful. Anesthesiologist did not give me enough anesthesia so I was completely awake and in pain the entire time and had to ask for more several times. Doctor who knew about a third cusp on my tooth said it would be no issue but then dug around in my mouth for an hour longer than estimated. But the worst part was AFTER the surgery when they refused to bill my medical insurance because "the doctor said they won't cover it". I had to call the office more than 5 times before I actually got through to someone who understood I needed it billed to meet my deductible and be reimbursed through my HRA. I found out from the woman I spoke with that reception was "new" and gave me incorrect information about billing multiple times and didn't even actually make a copy of my medical insurance the two times I provided it. Ended up resolving the billing issue by them finally agreeing to bill my medical insurance (or so I thought). I was reimbursed by my HRA and heard nothing for two years until I received a bill saying I owed them $900 last week. No documentation on bill showing my medical claim was submitted and denied, bill actually says itself that amount is is uncollectible from my medical insurance because so much time has lapsed, and it claims that it has been owed longer than 90 days even though this is the first I am hearing of it. Absolutely incompetent practice, medically and administratively. Would not ever recommend. read more

I never had a problem with dentists or understood why people would until I came here. I saw Dr. Lee and got several fillings. First of all, he was berating his assistant over what seemed to be minor issues, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Second, on the third feeling, the initial injection did not make the area numb, which I told him. He said, "well, let's try it anyway." He hit a nerve and it was incredibly painful. I would've flinched even if I had been expecting it. He got upset at me and raised his voice. He then injected again and became very frustrated at me when I was not numb again, which of course was not my fault, and the cycle repeated until he said I would either have to deal with the pain, since he wasn't going to keep trying, or come back another day (and pay more, without dental insurance). I made it through, but never want to go through another dental procedure. After all that, a filling came out within weeks and had to be redone (although, to their credit, I was not charged for the redo). I paid my full bill (~$1200) the days of my procedure(s) and was told I had paid my balance. This all occurred in spring of 2023. Now, a YEAR AND A HALF later, I receive a bill out of nowhere for $170. I called about it and was told that they had missed a charge, which I now have 90 days to pay, cannot contest, and will be sent to collections eventually if I do not pay. The fact that they forgot to bill me for this has nothing to do with me but I am now being held liable. I had considered writing this review about Dr. Lee previously, but did not feel it was fair to the rest of the practice. However, I now think both my negative individual experience and the business practices of this office are sufficient to warrant the effort it's taken for me to write a review and warn others away. read more

I Just recently returned to Buffalo. I heard a good friend of mine started working for Inspires Amherst office. I was elated and reach out and asked her to help me get an appointment. I chipped my tooth and wanted it looked at. Sadly, she informed me she was recently fired. I was shocked and disappointed to learn what she had gone through with the office manager while employed at Inspire. I have known her for years and worked with her in the past. She is the most honest, kind hearted and hardworking person I know. I had some small issues with inspire here and there. I was left waiting for an estimate then completely forgotten about more than once. I have had appointments canceled same day without being informed. I looked past the small errors with this office to continue seeing Dr. Pathak. It saddens me to find another dentist Dr. Pathak is amazing. I simply cannot support a business that would go to such lengths to wrongfully fire an individual that was mistreated, and harassed by her manager for months. How long can a business keep ignoring the negative reviews from former employees. I have looked up and read the reviews and something is definitely amiss here. Last year, the dentist I've gone to since my teeth sprouted retired, and the search was on for a new dentist. A friend of a friend on FB suggested Dr. Gary McBride, and I saw that he and his practice were highly-reviewed. Plus, the office is near some of my fav places (not far from Trader Joe's), so perhaps worth the drive from the eastside. First appointment I had a bit of an insurance snafu (brought the wrong insurance card - oops!) but got it sorted with some frantic calls to my HR Dep't. Despite the delay, Inspire was able to accommodate my x-rays and cleaning without rescheduling. The hygienist was very nice and professional and Dr. McBride did not over-sell any need for treatment. They took a picture of my molar with this tooth selfie-stick doohickey to show me a rough edge that might lead to cavity, but gave me the option to fill it or not (I let it ride). The office is very state-of-the art, especially in contrast to my former small-town dentist who practiced in a room off his house which hadn't changed at all since I first went in the early '80's. Very impressive! I also earned a nice free Sonicare toothbrush for checking in on Yelp as a new patient, not to mention the free goodie bag with some samples and other swag. "That's how they get ya!" I can't speak to the pediatric practice, but they offer that too. My only regret (aside from screwing up my insurance card) is I booked my appointment before nearby Tea Leaves Cafe opened so I couldn't swing by for a bubble tea. Inspire dental is NOT a place to go to for wisdom tooth removal. After going to an assessment appointment Dr. Lin had me fill out numerous forms. I informed her that I had a low platelet count but it was never an issue with any type of surgery I had. She had me submit platelet count blood test results and said they may have to give me a platelet infusion just before the surgery. After going through numerous tests, filling out many forms, and paying for a consultation and x-rays Dr. Linn called me 1 hour before scheduled surgery and said my platelets were slightly too low and she was canceling the wisdom tooth removal. When I asked her why she didn't set up a platelet transfusion prior to the surgery she said that it was my responsibility to get the transfusion! If she knew my platelets could be low, why didn't SHE arrange for the transfusion prior to surgery. Dr. Lin TOTALLY dropped the ball and has NO consideration for the treatment and feelings of her patients. Besides overcharging for a tooth removal (almost $2,000) she had NO consideration of a patient's position or feelings. DO NOT GO TO THIS INCOMPETENT DENTIST. read more

PLEASE READ!! DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. They don't care about any specialized needs you may have, money comes first, most unethical team I have ever dealt with. Absolutely horrifying experience. Look, if you're someone who has no fear of the dentist and don't care what you pay for dentistry then you'll probably have a normal experience. IF you are somebody that fear's any aspect of going to the dentist this is not the office for you, please take my warning seriously before you waste months of your life figuring out that they can't help you. When I first joined, I had made very clear that I am somebody with dental anxiety and was hoping they would be the place to accommodate. I knew they were far more expensive than other places around and I mistakenly assumed this would translate to a more comfortable team taking care of me. They acknowledged my concerns and insisted they were the team to help and they would set me up with the right doctor who understood my concerns. When it was time for my first procedures, it became very clear that once I was already in the door and they had my insurance information, nothing else mattered to them. When I asked about the dentist they told me I'd be seeing, they had no clue what I was talking about and instead set me up with whoever had availability, when I expressed my concern and anxiety about going to the dentist, there response was pretty much "In our opinion, we don't think its nerve-wracking of an experience, so you'll be fine" My last appointment involved excruciating pain for what was supposed to be a painless procedure and when I tried telling the dentist I could feel everything going on, she pretty much just yelled at me and told me there's no way I can still feel what's going on. A couple months later after I had began severely contemplating if I belonged backed at that office, the crown that had been installed in my mouth didn't just fall out, the entire remainder of the tooth broke and fell out (Less than 6 month after the multiple $1,000 procedure to fix it) and they were happy to inform me that another multiple $1,000 procedure would fix it right up! Despite the nature of the emergency they gave me an appointment almost 2 months out just to be evaluated (not even to fix the issue, just to have somebody look at it). This I could understand, there are capacity issues and it's not easy to address everyone's emergencies at once, that's forgivable. What's not forgivable was when the dentist told me that that appointment was just going to be a placeholder and when something else opened up I'd be moved up right away. That was a bold face lie, I never once received another call about moving my appointment up. Not even a call to keep me updated, I'm pretty sure she just said it to make the deal sound better and make sure I didn't go to a different office during the wait. Keep in mind, this was an office that advertised themselves as the place to go when you have been let down by other offices, that was a massive joke and its very clear all they cared about was getting people in the door and seeing how many of the patients would get to stick around, and then forget about everyone else who doesn't. I wouldn't go back if it were free. PS: you can send my bills to collections, you'll never see another cent out of my pocket. Assholes. Oh here's a fun story too that I'll never forget: My payments were always sent by check, they knew this and never had an issue. Keep in mind this was during the postal service crisis when mail was frequently getting delayed and there was nothing you or I could do about when our mail arrived. After a procedure they noticed the check I sent them hadn't delivered yet. They heckled me about it and tried to not let me leave the office, despite never missing a payment, and when I told them the check had been sent already the receptionist response was "Well does anyone in your family have any credit cards we can put it on right now?" That being said there was 1 dental assistant and I'll never forget the compassion she gave me when it clear that the dentist really didn't care if I was comfortable or not, I feel horrible to her and her only that I'm leaving this review and dear god I hope she gets a raise because she is the singular aspect of my time there that wasn't horrible. Never have I been to a dentist/dental group so unqualified. I came there as a new patient with NO cavities and left having to have a retreat on a root canal that THEY CAUSED. Their mistreatment of me was beyond disgusting. I could go on and on but I'll spare you the horrible details. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist that doesn't work here. The staff was incredibly friendly and throughly answered all of my questions. I hope my when I get my wisdom teeth removed the process is this smooth. I live more in the city of Buffalo, but I'm willing to drive the 15 minutes to know my teeth are going to be well taken care of. Its a newer facility with all updated state of the art equipment. I've been there to get my wisdom tooth taken out and it was a smooth process ( a little pain a few days after but that's normal). I went for a teeth clean, exam, and x-rays last Friday, which went smoothly. They took "cavity x-rays" and that helped the dentist see if I had any cavities. I had none which made me happy!! The teeth clean was very good and painless. I felt comfortable through the whole process. I know they have a location in West Seneca, but I go to the one in Amherst (on Sweethome Rd. and Maple Rd.) These dentists KNOW what their doing and will not scam you in any way. Place your "teeth trust" in the hands of Inspire Dental and your teeth will SMILE :0) read more

Short story time: I cracked a molar a few weeks back, super uncomfortable, lots of pain. My Dentist was on vacation for the month, his receptionist said I should schedule an extraction and gave me a referral to an oral surgeon. Whew! Just yank the tooth and no more pain! So I call the referral, and they will perform the extraction... 7 WEEKS FROM THE DAY I CALLED. 7 WEEKS OF PAIN. 7 WEEKS OF GETTING ANXIETY WHENEVER I THINK ABOUT EATING. They urge me to go see a dentist in the interim. What can I do? I schedule it for the end of November. I go into the office, and moan about my tooth/distant appointment to my coworkers. Jen perks up and says, "Try Inspire, they're great." Thank the heavens she did. I call them, why not, couldn't hurt, my DDS is on vacation and I should have someone take a look anyway. I call. I explain my agony. They can see me that day. I had to have her repeat it, I was in disbelief. "Sure, does 3 o'clock work?" Oh it works. I leave work early and head over. The office is beautiful. The staff is welcoming. They see me immediately. The dentist knows what needs to be done. I explain that I have an extraction scheduled for the end of November. He says: "Why not get them out sooner?" Well, I didn't know that was an option. "How about Monday?" he says. I'm dreaming right? Monday? This anguish could be over by Monday? Book it. He tells me I'll be seeing Dr. Charles. I'm over the moon about this. Monday comes along, I'm nervous. I'm the nervous type anyway. They prep me. Everyone is amazing. All friendly, all putting me at ease. I start to relax. In comes Dr. Germain Charles. He shakes my hand, ask me how I am doing. I explain my nerves. He puts me at ease in seconds. His confidence really made me feel calm. He explains everything. We get started. 15 minutes later. The problem molars are gone. I felt nothing. It was painless. All I see is Dr. Charles smiling at me and telling me what a great job I did. I can' t thank this man enough. I wish all my dental related visits could be this smooth, this professional, this....easy. I mean, I've had cleanings that were more uncomfortable than this man pulling two molars! He's a genius! I went here for a cleaning and check up due to serious pain from one of my wisdom teeth. The dental tech who did the xrays and cleaning was great and I really liked her. However, the dentist, dr. white, was very aloof and rude. He basically brushed off my wisdom tooth pain, told me yes we should extract them but i'll have to come back to consult with another dentist to make the appointment (3 weeks in the future). Then as I'm leaving he says to make the appointment for fillings. I was in pain and therefore this statement didn't register. Until after he walked out and I'm ushered to the front to check out and get a statement of cost. I've never had a cavity before (I'm 32 years old). I was not told by Dr. White that I now do have a cavity. I was basically just told to come back and have my tooth drilled when I am there for my wisdom tooth consultation. Why would a patient want to return to a place for a procedure when the reason for the procedure was never explained (or even mentioned!)?!? Sure, go ahead and drill my mouth without explanation. Use my pain in another area of my mouth to distract me into forking over my money. I'm picking up my xrays today and going elsewhere. I'm not giving my money to a place that treats me like I'm an idiot. Don't go here. It's a business that doesn't care about its patients. read more

I have super severe dental anxiety due to nasty hygienists at my previous dentist, so I went on a search for a new dentist. I came across Inspire on Google when I was searching for dentists that help patients with their dental anxiety, so I made an appointment. That was three years ago and now I keep coming back. Inspire does everything in their power to make you feel comfortable at the dentist. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I always feel like I'm getting the best care possible and my fears are calmed down. I don't get pre-dental jitters anymore. At my last visit the other day, there was a small problem that requires a specialist and I was pleased to find out the specialist is part of the Inspire practice. I know when I visit him, I will be getting the best care possible and they will professionally explain all the solutions. The dentist may not be my favorite place, but Inspire Dental Group does a good job at making my experience as comfortable as possible. read more

In one word - AMAZING. I usually am not one to write reviews. But Inspire was fantastic. I took my two kiddos - age 7 and 3. They are your typical rambunctious boys. Julie was SO patient and great with my kids. Honestly, she has the magic touch. My 3 year old was so still and obliging during his cleaning, I didn't seem like it was my child! He's usually squirming and trying to run away. Julie kept him engaged and asked him questions and it was just amazing to watch. She was so patient with my 7 year old, too, who has a hard time sitting still and asks a million questions. She answered all my questions and my kids left with squeaky clean teeth. I was able to get appointments fairly quickly with both kids. The facility is great and clean and welcoming. The kids section is cute. Movies playing, open, toys for the kids when they're finished. Both boys loved their gold coins and backpacks. For our first appointment, we waited for a few minutes, but nothing too bad. I would recommend Inspire to anyone. I might actually make an appointment for myself, and I'm terrified of going to the dentist! :) read more

I have a very mixed review to leave regarding Inspire Dental- specifically the Maple Rd. office. My son received very good orthodontic care with this office. Unfortunately we had to move out of state half way through his ortho care and this is where our high praise of the office ends. In the last several months it's become nearly a full time job to get the appropriate transfer documents his new ortho needed to continue care. Every single orthodontist I'd contacted in our new state required the same specific form from Inspire to set up continued treatment. Inspire's staff acted as if they'd never heard of such a thing and getting the needed info caused so many unnecessary delays. On top on this- I'd set up auto billing with Inspire while my son was under their care. Despite giving advanced notice of our no longer being patients of theirs, and repeated requests to cancel the auto billing they did not and now owe a refund of more than $1k that I still (9+ months later) have not received. I'm to the point of having to take legal action to get a resolution. So overall- the dentistry care received- no complaints. The administrative side of this office is severely lacking. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for a filling made over 2 months ago I received a text message and email confirming my appointment at 10:01am the day of the 12:00pm appointment. 15 minutes later I received a call cancelling my appointment. They cancelled my appointment 1 hour out. They also charge for missed appointments of less than 24 hours notice. I am now waiting another 2 weeks to get in. Very unprofessional and not accommodating at all. Look elsewhere if you are a new patient. read more

This is a great new practice with brand new facilities (clean and modern). I was able to schedule a convenient appointment with ease and the intake process was simple (you can fill out your paperwork in advance using forms from their website). Once I arrived I was promptly taken in for a cleaning. The hygienist was excellent - the most efficient and pain-free cleaning I've had to date. Afterward the dentist came in for a thorough examination and went through a course of treatment with me. The entire process took about an hour but I didn't feel that I was rushed. I've read about a lot of nicer dental practices is that they try to sell you products - this one does not - it seems to be geared towards the working professional that requires expedient, high-quality dental services before work (hours start at 7am) or over lunch time. That said, I could also see this is a good family practice too as the staff has a very nice bedside manner. The only recommendation I might add is to offer a few days with the early AM hours and a few days with PM hours (say, until 6pm) to accommodate all work schedules. read more

You either wait on hold forever and the system eventually hangs up on you or you leave a message and no one calls you back. Only to finally get an urgent appointment for throbbing tooth pain, get there and be told I have to wait another two weeks for a consultation appointment with the dental surgeon. DEBTAL CONSULT arrives. He cancels his whole day the morning of!! She goes, come out to our west Seneca office NO!! Why? That's so far. And gives me an appointment which is just for the consult mind you for two weeks away. So I'll be eating bottles and bottles of Tylenol until then. I highly recommend Inspire! I have been going to them for about 4 years, and after multiple cleanings and a wisdom teeth removal my positive opinion of them has never changed! I am constantly recommending that people go to them. The Amherst location has the best staff, and everyone is always very friendly and takes the time to listen to any questions you may have. Although she exchanges all the expected protocol pleasantries, Dr. Lewis comes off as cold and not very genuine. My first meeting with her she failed to even properly introduce herself - didn't even tell me her name. Today on my 2nd visit to her it was the same - in the room and straight to work. While I do like to get things done so I can be on with my day, you're interacting with a patient and the least you can do is warm up to them and make them feel comfortable. On several occasions while performing a rather routine filling Dr. Lewis insisted I was not opening my mouth wide enough. My jaw was hurting from trying to keep it open what I thought was beyond as wide as I could get it. A severe lack of sympathy & concern for my comfort emanated from every bit of Dr. Lewis; her choice of tone with me, the pressure she applied in response to my not opening wider, to the basic body language and greetings. I was truly disappointed with my experience and definitely would never recommend this practice or this Dr. to anyone I know or meet. As a result of my experiences with Dr. Lewis we'll be searching for a new practice for our entire family. I feel I'm being fair and true in my assessment and my experiences with this Dr. are valid. I have no problem with anyone knowing I was not happy. read more

They accommodated me immediately. Office was well located and professional. Drs were both understanding and able to offer me sedation which other offices don't bother to do that for patients. I had a surgery scheduled today for wisdom teeth to be removed. I went in for my appointment and was told the co-pay. I then explained that I was supposed to have cultures taken for a biopsy which I requested be done another time simply because I could not afford it today. I was told that they must be done today. When I spoke to Dr. Abbott and explained my concern he informed me that I had the right to not opt for the biopsy but he had the right to not perform the procedure and told me that I should probably go somewhere else. For background, at my last visit I was chewing tobacco. I quit four weeks ago before my surgery and my gums looked great. I did not want the biopsy done today due to cost. That's the only reason. For a medical professional to refuse to pull my teeth because of this is absolutely irresponsible. I have never before experienced this level of unprofessionalism and lack of concern. I am now left to find another dentist and remain in pain until I can get another appointment somewhere else. I have told the story as truthfully as possible and without exaggeration. Do yourself a favor and do not give this place your business. The receptionist is also completely inept. She had never even heard of an HRA! Seriously. I will be honest, I stayed away from a dentist for a whole year because of a negative experience I had. I came to inspire and from the moment I walked in - I was greeted. My wait time was about 3 min. My experience there was like no other. I usually hide my smile - and Tim had me smiling and laughing. After my visit I was still smiling. I very highly recommend Inspire Dental. As someone that has always been extremely nervous going to a doctor or dentist, I am glad I chose them to do multiple procedures (extractions, crowns, bridge work.) The staff (every person I've encountered there) goes above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible and I'm very happy with all the work I've had done. Inspire dental has been a breath of fresh air!! The hygienist are all so professional and very nice. Today I had Jen, she listened to me when I told her about some discoloration on my teeth. She thought it could be staining from coffee. Needless to stay, she spent a little extra attention to those areas and I was amazed at how much of a difference she made.
