Supposed to have an extraction and a filling done Monday morning, it's now Friday evening. The dentist was supposed to call in a medication for me to take Sunday evening and again Monday morning prior to my appointment to help with my anxiety. Nothing has been called in and of course they are closed tomorrow. Anytime I tried calling today, no one would answer the phone and I never received a call back despite leaving two voicemails. The dentist also seemed more worried about me getting two crowns done on teeth that are not bothering me instead of worrying about the reason I was there in the first place. If I end up following through with my appointment, it will the last time I do business with them. read more

Very unorganized. The waits are unbelievably long. A simple check-up took 3 and a half hours long. I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed, but nobody told me not to eat or drink anything beforehand. The waiting rooms are too small for the amount of people they accept. There were 6 or 7 small children running around the waiting room, screaming and playing and crying and climbing all over the seats. Had to deal with that for 2 hours. I originally came in to get a cavity checked out, but they made no mentions of it or any plans to deal with it. They keep trying to get me to sign up for more things, like their bootleg Invisalign, which I don't need, I already had braces for years. They will try to sell you more things and shill to you, do not listen to them. Consult a different dentist. Went to get a cleaning, but the guy at the front desk was acting like we were crazy, saying "Umm do you have an appointment??" Then when we told him, he said we weren't scheduled, even though the last guy definitely told us to show up that day. We even had the card to prove when the appointment was. Turns out they just did the cleaning all at once anyway instead of doing it in 2 parts like they said they would, so that the insurance would cover both parts. Then when we came in for wisdom teeth extractions, they did an xray and determined that I didn't even need it, otherwise I would get permanent nerve damage from the operation. We were told we would get a full refund for the extractions that never happened, but they still aren't giving us back our mone. They are trying to say they took what the insurance didn't cover for my cleaning. It's total fraud. I think they do this all the time and get away with it. It's super hard to get anything done by the governing bodies but that's probably why they feel like they can get away with it. It's so disappointing because MOST of the workers were very nice, (NOT BRAYDEN) but their business practices are just so disorganized and scheming. When we called to try clearing up the refund and insurance stuff, Brayden laughed at us. For the refund that THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE US. Definitely would NOT recommend. read more

I went to Aspen dental to have some work done. After the initial check up I was told for minimal filling ant to pull a tooth it was going to cost me $17,000 that's with my insurance. My friend went with me, and she needed more work done than I did and she was charged 2,000 for the extensive work she needed. Then when I called back, I was kept on hold for 45 minutes. Then when the young woman came back, she told me they would call me back. That was a month ago. Aspen Dental has very poor customer service, and their communication skills are lacking. I went to Aspen dental in hopes of getting fixed partials. They were all nice enough until the racked up more than $6000 in debt on a Carecredit card they helped me get, then they were too busy for me and never got the partials. They tried to make some partials for me after pulling yet another tooth for no apparent reason and did such a poor job making the partial, it didn't even fit. I never wanted it and even after telling them that wasn't what I wanted, it was still what I got along with a lie that I had to have this to start before getting fixed teeth. These people are crooks and should not be trusted. Although I didn't receive anesthesia, the body does still respond to physical trauma. The person in billing only had me sign paperwork AFTER I had been in the chair and they had pulled a tooth. The last tooth they pulled wasn't even supposed to be pulled at all. I would give this rating 0 stars if I could. I went in to get my teeth checked up, because my wisdom teeth are coming in and wanted to get consulted about getting them removed. When I was done with my appointment, they said I needed some deep cleaning and quoted almost $1,000 for it, plus the thousands more with my wisdom teeth removal and aligners. It didn't seem my insurance was going to cover much and no young college student could afford to pay that. So I left, and a few months later I started experiencing pain from my wisdom teeth and called to make an appointment to get them removed. They quoted me even more money this time to get them removed, $2,300. I was confused and didn't know why it was so much and if my insurance covered it. I went in with my mom and they said the oral surgeon wasn't in network (which they were, and we called the insurance office) AND they gave us a list of things they were going to charge me. By the end of my meeting with them, they now quoted me over $2,600 for my wisdom teeth. The insurance office showed us our fees and how much was covered and aspen dental wanted to charge me almost FOUR TIMES as much as it needed to be. We went back and we're able to speak with another manager (we originally spoke to Megan) and she then explained that we had to pay the full amount up front and MAYBE our insurance would pay the rest and we would get a refund. There was even a possibility that I would get a bill for even more in the future.This was not explained up front in the beginning as it should be. When going over all of the codes and charges they presented to us, we found that they had hidden fees and random items like a $135 toothbrush (that I very well do not need). They are dishonest from the start and will try to take as much money from you as possible. The office manager was very rude to my mom and did not care to take the time to listen to us and help work things out. As nice as Megan was and some of the staff, this place is 100% a scam and will just take your money. I would never trust them with my care. I'm very disappointed and just wanted help to get the dental care I needed as a young adult and they tried to take my money. Thank goodness my mom was able to detect what was going on and called them out, and they were completely rude, specifically the office manager named Samantha, to me and my mom and tried to hide what they were doing. read more

It has taken nine months to get by temp partials and said I would get them in four weeks. The dentist that worked with me all of a sudden was gone. A new dentist started working with me, she apologized and said she would reorder and call me when they are in. I never heard back so I went in and found out they let her go also. A Third dentist came in and ordered a cleaning. I just had one. He said what do you won't we lost your file. I called corporate and they sent me to Regional Manager. She was polite and said they would rescan me since the bottom never fit, because they kept sending the incorrect partial five times. I've been here twice now and each time I have had problems. The first time I had an appointment set up and everything and it still took 3 1/2 hours for them to get around to me. The second time I made an appointment for a check up and cleaning and I get there and I get sat in the chair and she comes around and looked at my teeth for two seconds and told me I have no cavities and then proceeded to tell me that they have no hygienist so no one could clean my teeth that day which is the whole point of going there. I don't live in the state and it was just an inconvenience and a waste of my time to go there for someone to tell me some thing I already know that I don't have cavities. They should've called me to let me know that they weren't going to be able to clean my teeth today. I do not recommend going here at all and I will not be returning. read more

I visited the Aspen Dental in Waco, TX, 3/10/2023. I have an infection in my jaw from one of my back teeth. They showed me several different payment options/plans. They were supposed to call in a prescription for the infection as I am in excruciating pain. Was seen at 8:30 yesterday morning. Went to try to pick up my prescription from my pharmacy at 11. No prescription was received. Called the clinic back took almost 45 minutes to finally get to speak to a live person (but only finally got a live person after calling the # they'd called me from when I initially tried to get an appointment. The operater also provided an after hours # for going forward. She then e-mailed the office manager to call me. They still didn't call, so I chose option as if I'd never been seen to finally speak to a live person). I was guaranteed by 2 employees, the receptionist & the office manager the Dr. would call or fax prescription to the pharmacy before they left for the day, and they closed at noon. At 3 o'clock, I went back to the pharmacy, but no prescription was received. Called after hours # they were putting a call into the Dr. who was on call. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK! Called again 2 1/2 hours later, same thing called again after another hour and half had pasted, still no call from the Dr. After that the answering service called me about every half hour or so to see if Dr. had called. NEVER DID! Now it's been 24 hours since being guaranteed that my prescription would be called in and I've already spoke to the after hours folks again this morning and still an hour later, excruciating pain still throbbing and no calls from Dr. Aspen Dental's recording says 'Thank you for putting your TRUST in us for your dental needs'. Can't say that I will or can trust them after the so called service I am receiving. No one deserves this kind of service, or lack thereof, ever! I got all my teeth pulled in February 2023, I was told I would get two sets of temporary dentures. I got the first set, the bottom never did fit correctly, I was told not to wear it. They didn't seem to care that these didn't fit properly. So I was supposed to come in to have new impressions made and after sitting and waiting for almost 20min, I was finally brought back only to be told that I had a balance due I had paid up front in cash. There were three forms that Aspen did not submit even though the insurance company had asked for it several times. I told them that I was never told that If the insurance company decided not to pay then I would be responsible for the balance. The lady said, I should have been told that. I told her I was not. And I paid up front in cash for the whole, they wanted another $4600, amount that I was told I owed. I was told that until that new amount was paid, I would not be moving forward. ($5455) I told them they make it right or I would sue them. They decided to make it a $0 balance. I told them that I would no longer go through them since the lab messed up my dentures. Because of the fact that I have not had dentures on the bottom for so long, I now need to have fixed dentures on the bottom. The bone had flattened out and regular dentures would not stay. I'm currently STILL waiting for my refund from Aspen for the dentures I never got. I'm owed over $3600 back!!. I have told them again that If I don't get the money back I will sue! I have been waiting for 7 weeks now for my refund. I will be contacting Corporate office and the CEO. I shouldn't have to take it this far just to get my money back. Would not recommend anyone to go through Aspen in Waco, Tx. Some of the ladies that work there are great!! I don't wish them to lose their jobs, but some others which I will not name, need to go back to school to learn how to treat patients!!! read more

This place is a total rip off. I went to Waco, TX office. I spent 4 hours there and was given options that were totally unrealistic. I am almost 70 and they wanted to take all my 15 or so teeth I had left and put in dentures. The denture choices they offered were overpriced and the cheaper ones appeared to be of a lower quality. They would not accept my Delta Dental insurance. The best financing options are only for people with the highest credit scores, with a financer that they are in cahoots with. I was also told that the assessment would be free, but they sent be a bill for $66 anyway, and it went to a collection agency shortly after. This is a total corporate money grab. They need much of this money to pay for their high priced commercials. I went to a local dentist in Waco, TX and they accepted my insurance (Delta Dental) and made me 2 well-fitting partials. I believe this practice does not truly listen to their clients. I am well aware that exams always have to take place and in my past experiences with other dental practices the x-rays are done, the cleaning occurs, and then the dentist comes in to review the x-rays and do an oral exam all in the same day. I was in the market for a new dentist office and decided to call Aspen Dental. When I called I explained to the lady I needed to get in this week or by Monday as I would be unavailable after that for a while for work/business reasons. When speaking to the person on the phone which appeared to be a call center representative I specifically stated that I wanted to get a cleaning done. I was extremely clear about what I wanted as I was overdue for one. She informed me that she had an 8:15 AM time available for a cleaning the very next day. I said great and came in the next morning as scheduled. I arrived 15 minutes before time in order to complete the necessary information as a new patient. Once brought to the back I was x-rayed and placed into a chair. The dentist came in and shook my hand put on gloves and started touching his glasses and hair with the gloves on thus contaminating them in my opinion before putting his hands in my mouth. Needless to say I was extremely uncomfortable at that point because he should have done those things before putting the gloves on. In my opinion gloves should not touch anything else before going into a patients mouth as I viewed this as very unsanitary. After his exam he wanted to tell me options that he suggested which was fine with me and then he said they needed to schedule me back in for a cleaning. I explained that I was told that I was scheduled for a cleaning this morning. He said unfortunately that was not the first time the call center told someone they could get a cleaning done on the first visit and unfortunately they could not do it. I explained to him that I felt misled to come into their office for a cleaning that did not take place. He replied "I hate to hear that you feel that way, they should not be telling people that but we just can't do a cleaning today." He then directed me to a waiting area to be consulted by their business department in order to try and schedule implants for 3 molars that were extracted years ago. I waited for about 10 minutes and decided I was no longer willing to wait any longer so I asked the x-ray tech if there was anything else they needed from me before I left. She took me to the person who was going to go over implant costs and she said that she was working on my chart. I explained that I needed to go back to work and could not wait any longer since I wasn't being seen for the service I specifically requested. She said she would give me a call which still has not happened hours later to this moment. I feel that they misled me to come in just to be able to bill my insurance for x-rays and a consultation. This appears to be the normal way they do business as there was a lady there before me complaining and asking for a refund on a service and asking for copies of x-rays for her daughter in order to go elsewhere. If this is not their normal practice they are either very unorganized when it comes to their scheduling, have a lack of communication with their call center, or as I stated earlier they do not listen to their clients. I too will be requesting copies of my x-rays and finding another dentist for my oral health needs. Aspen Dental butchered my lower right jaw and were unable to find where the pain was coming from. Like almost all dentists, they had a good staff for cleaning and simple procedures but do not let them do anything such as filling cavities. I ended up have to go and get a root canal because of Aspen. I am in the process of finding an oral surgeon and a new dentist. Start out finding a real Dentist. I am putting 1 star because there is not 0 stars. I took my husband to get an estimate on having his teeth pulled and getting dentures. He is recovering from meth so I realize a lot needs to be done. He is 4 years clean and when we went he was having no pain or swelling or issues. They did an xray and then the dentist was counting how many teeth were broke off and needed to be pulled. He pushed on the teeth when counting it hurt and was very quick about it. He just kept saying, "you don't need an oral surgeon, I pull its a lot cheaper" They said nothing about an infection or anything. He needs 25 teeth pulled and dentures. They quoted $10,000 first and when we did not have insurance it came down to $5400 but there was no payment plan or anything we can do as we did not qualify for the credit card. The next morning his face started to swell and now we have been to the ER twice and doctors office once. He has a major infection in his face caused from the dentist pushing the broke off tooth up into his gums. He is on major antibiotics and has to go back thursday to the doctor it can be a life threatening infection. I called back to let the know what they did and yes, I was upset and raising my voice because the office manager tried to tell me infection was present but they never told us or told us he needed antibiotics. She also said he had come in for tooth pain and he did not nothing was wrong at the time of the appt. We just wanted to see how much it would cost to fix his mouth. She told me if I was going to raise my voice she was not going to speak to me and of course they offered to do nothing. I was not expecting everything free but maybe taking care of that 1 tooth would have been suffient. I am a store manager and this is NOT HOW YOU HANDLE COMPLAINTS! It is like he intentionally pushed the tooth in to cause issues so we would have to do something immediately when we don't have the money. Please do not take anyone you love to this place. read more

the dental assistants were great, the actual dentist i'm iffy about. he seemed like he wanted to hurry up and get me over with, reviewed my x-rays fast and made it seem like a memorized speech. i had to get 2 shots and he seemed to get irritated/annoyed with me when i fussed out of uncomfort. i had a filling to fix a chipped tooth and after he finished it didn't even look like he fixed the problem my tooth still didn't match my others in length (since it was my front bottom tooth i chipped.) the lady at the finance desk was my favorite part about my visit. she was very nice and easy going and willing to work with you/give you the best advice. read more

I curse the day I decided to go to this dental entity. for my one tooth, it took two hours travel to one of their office, then one hour SEVERAL trips to their other office. I have missed several days of work due to their unprofessionalism, lack of information, & inconvenience. this dental office is run by teeny poppers who only care about their fake eyelashes and nails. my temporary was broken twice, they had to retake impressions for my permanent because it wasn't right the first time, I didn't find this out until a week later! no one called me about it. I just happened to come in due to broken temporary. A week later my temporary broke again, again I'm taking off from work, traveling an hour away. my permanent tooth took a month to come in. Guess what? my permanent broke not too long ago!!!! I had to go back to these ppl. to have them cement it back. and it's still not sitting right, as a matter of fact, it chipped my top tooth. They do not have a manager nor a supervisor! the staff hangs up on you, keeps you on hold for several minutes. I will not go back to them and will tell others to save them a headache! The front desk was very polite! The guy who did my exams made me feel comfortable from the beginning! Dr Hussein was very professional and made the initial exam painless and relaxing! The best part, they have financing available for people like me who can't fork up a couple thousand at once! They got me approved for $3000 right away with affordable monthly payments. I don't even have the best credit score . If I had known how easy and simple it was I would have gone a long time ago! They explained everything to me! The women who cleaned my teeth and did and oral exam on me was awesome! We talked about family and life and really made me feel like she was a friend!
