I arrived 5 minutes early to my scheduled appointment and was met at the front desk with a smile and professionalism. I was told there was going to be a slight wait. Doctor Acone came out and said hello along with assistants Grace and Kennedy with big smiles on their faces. As far as the cleaning is concerned, Kate was careful and cautious. She asked several questions and communicated through all the steps. The care I received was above and beyond the best experience I have had from the Dentist. Once done with my appointment was complete, and within 5 minutes my bill was processed and my next appointment was made. Kayla was fantastic. Great place for dental work!!! read more

Do yourself a favor, find a completely different dentist. This office is horrible - from the customer service or lack there of! Constantly cancelling your appointments via email, but when you call to reschedule they NEVER answer their phone, or you are on hold for 25 mins, which then they transfer you to multiple people without resolve, OR you leave multiple voicemails with no returned phone call. The fact that you can't keep staff, says a lot. As a patient you are literally just a paycheck for them... a number. Preventative care?! WHAT'S THAT??? Nope they can can your February cleaning, book the earliest appt at the end of June, just to cancel you again by email. Looking for dentures and I got advised to keep my painful teeth and have bridges put in and Invisalign I am 67 years old at that time and it would of been about a $15,000 fix on teeth that I am sure the teeth they wanted to hook up to now needs to be pulled .. We made the mistake of paying up front for services. Once they had the money, in March of 2024, it was nothing but canceled appointments and terrible service. It is now September and my niece is in pain after her extractions. And they just canceled another appointment. They may be cheaper them other places, but it's not worth it. read more

My daughter went there for dentures and a few implants. Over twenty grand later and she's in constant pain and they never take the time to fix them right. I want to say that Aspen Dental has done all there is to be done to treat me with upmost respect, care for me, went above and beyond to get me in as a new patient right off based on my needs, and discuss all my options with every part of the plan so I knew all my options up front with no surprises. There has not been a single time I didn't feel anything but grateful to Aspen Dental in Williston VT right from day 1. Sometimes our dental health is not in our control even though we try as hard as we can but medications and procedures can change our dental health. I was in the midst of losing my teeth due to medication. The only positive of the COVID was being able to hide behind the mask so no one saw my teeth. I'm a professional that has always prided myself on my smile...that was lost. Then masks started coming off last year so I decided I had to do something...that is where I turned to Aspen Dental as Dr. Acone and all of the staff helped me get that smile back. From the first appointment all the way through this process, from evaluation, extractions, to a new smile has been terrific and I live 1.5 hours away from them. They are busy because they're awesome! I was always treated with respect and a smile. Dr. Acone is amazing, he has compassion and doesn't want you to feel pain. First dentist I ever dealt with that didn't inflict actual pain because he made it so I didn't feel it. Thank you!!! Badly mismanaged. I booked an appointment months in advance and called out of work to make sure I could make it there. They sent a text days before to confirm which I answered and they thanked me for. Upon arriving they said they gave my appointment away for not "verbally confirming," meaning, I suppose, that I did not call them ahead of time (which they don't inform you to do when you schedule your first appointment.) So not only did I not get dental work, I wasted personal time off of work for nothing. Very poor policy and communication. read more

I've never had to leave a review like this for a dentist before. The positive to Aspen Dental is my hygienist was very friendly. However, I switched dentists offices and DO NOT recommend Aspen for many reasons: -- Misdiagnosed me and had me pay $200 for treatment -- Left over 8 voicemails and never got a call back -- Never sent me or my mother my billing statements for insurance, despite calling and leaving voicemails several times -- When able to reach them on the phone, can't find any of my paperwork I filled out in the system or the consent for my mother to know my health/financial information -- Incapable of sending my records and x-rays to my new office, despite them calling several times I wish I knew about them sooner, and I would have avoided them completely! I have revised this review 4 months later. If I could change the star rating no stars now I would. Don't go here! I have moved to another Dentist and now realize how bad Aspen Dental is! I went to Aspen for around 3 year. In that period of time I had six different Dentists. Some were excellent, some were scary, some were just plain idiots. The final straw was when in the previous visit they scheduled me for a filling. I went in for it, and the new dentist (who was maybe 25 years old) I saw said he could not do it. He wanted to extract all my lower front teeth. I left for good and moved to a new Dentist who's been in business for 35 years. He did a root canal and filled my tooth. He did not agree with the Aspen Dentist that my teeth needed extraction. Also, If you don't have insurance get ready for a headache. They do not trust anyone to pay. So they make you pay at least 40% in advance for all procedures. My new Dentist is like most, and you pay when leaving. No deposit is required. If it were this simple it wouldn't be bad, but it gets worse. They will give you a print out with your planned upcoming care, however figuring out how much you've paid in advance, and how much you will owe when you go in is nearly impossible looking at the very unclear paperwork they give you. You have to ask the staff person to explain it. If for some reason they owe you a credit it has to be approved by the central office, and that takes at least a week. I can only imagine how hard it would be to get a refund if you leave their services and they have a deposit from you on file. UPDATE! I have been waiting for the refund of my deposit on file now for almost 4 months. I have called their office in Williston several times. They always tell me the refund is "Processing". How long does it take to process? This is ridiculous! I am about to file a complaint with the Vermont Attorney General's Office. Having worked with my new Dentist I realize Aspen is no bargain either. They may offer you a free exam and x-rays if you go their for the first time. But they only schedule one filling or procedure at a time. In the long run it costs way more than a dentist that will do multiple things in one visit. To sum it up, -No Bargain Pricing as their ads on TV imply. -Luck of the draw on who you get for a Dentist and their skill level. You may get an inexperienced idiot who costs you dearly. -A significant deposit must be on file before they will schedule work for you. And it's impossible to keep track of what you have in deposit left, or what you will owe at your next visit when looking at the paperwork they give you. You will have to ask the staff to explain it all. -Good luck getting any deposit left on file if you leave them! read more

Update to my previous complaints I filled out transfer forms to my new dentist two weeks ago after paying my enormous over billed bill for all their extras they throw in that are conveniently not covered by insurance. Asked twice if all I needed for the transfo take place was completed and was told yes.... Well fast forward to today the transfer never happened the new offfice called and "we can try it again " while I'm sitting here waiting for it to come in I understand a day or two but the office follow through at any Aspen sucks half the time the turn over in staff is so bad your lost in their system and sent to claims because they screw up all the time read more

Do not go to Aspen dental in Williston. They're friendly at first, but they ripped us off hundreds of dollars. We made payments on a loan through them starting in November, but they didn't see us until February. When we got there the money we had paid was all spent. That we received no dental work. The one dental procedure that was done, was my husband getting his teeth cleaned, which our insurance paid for. He was in the room for less than 10 minutes they use no equipment on him. They only used a rubber pick that they gave him to take home after. And he had to hold his own suction. He said it was extremely painful, the woman would not let me go in the room. She was very rude to me, and he had to stop her multiple times because she was hurting him in the short 10 minutes he was in there. So we are now out a bunch of money, lots of time that we've gone in and made a dental plan with them. I had to take him out of his appointment after being numbed when they informed us that we were going to owe the money. Run run run do not go to the dentist. OK , I am cautioning you about Aspen dental . My dentures have NEVER fit , I have been back over 15 times to get them "adjusted" and they just sanded them for 10 seconds , and that was it. I bought the most expensive teeth and I cannot use the bottom plate , but they just blow me off. I have seen someone in a wheelchair and they struggle getting through the heavy glass doors , and nobody at the front desk helps them. There can be 5-6 people in the front desk , but as soon as they see the wheel chair approaching ,everyone disappeared , and those of us in the waiting room had to assist the person in the wheelchair . The front desk people are RUDE and have no idea what they are doing .I think that they should close the place and do an intensive training for everyone .I have scheduled an appointment with the other place that my friends have raved about . read more

Worst dentist I've been too. Told me my few hundred dollar black Phillips toothbrush isn't a good toothbrush and I needed to buy their oral b toothbrush. Tried having me buy $50 mouth wash, $50 toothpaste. Had all charges hidden in bill until I had to re look over it and complain. Did a 1 minute oral cancer screening charged me $30 I was told I'd be reimbursed by insurance to not be reimbursed. This place doesn't care about the patient they only want as much money as they can get from you. Sneaking a $200 toothbrush in bill and being told Phillips toothbrushes are garbage. What a cash grab. Have a couple cavities I'll be getting filled else where. read more

WARNING: DON'T GO HERE! I walked out in the middle of an appointment and am sure I saved myself. Unprofessional staff chat between themselves like the patient isn't even there. Made to pay for a filling up front despite having insurance. The "dentist" gave me the most painful novacaine shots I've ever had... and after 20 minutes I wasn't even numb... I don't think she injected the right spot. I have one specific tooth that has been bothering me and I thought had been diagnosed at my previous visit and xrays, and was the purpose of my visit today, but the different dentist today says nothing wrong with it and she's only going to work on a completely different tooth. There was a woman screaming in the next cubicle over from me... there is no privacy between patients here at all. The procedure "cubicle" seemed dirty and the dentist kept bouncing between me and other patients and I did not see any glove changing or hand-washing between patients. While working on the screaming woman, the dentist popped her head back in my cubicle to say she'd be back soon. Everything felt so unprofessional. I've never had such a bad vibe from a medical office before... I put my COVID mask back on and got the hell out of there as fast as I could! Hopefully they refund me and my insurance for the procedure that was never performed. Also, as other reviewers mentioned they are constantly trying to sell you stuff here: $150 electric toothbrush, $40 tube of toothpaste, $30 bottle of mouthwash. It's all a scam. read more

I have been here a few times and have received a full range of service quality from great to poor. Once I was seen immediately, other times I've had to wait more than 45 minutes, most recently I decided to leave and reschedule after waiting almost an hour. I get the sense that they understaff as a general business strategy but that the people they employ are friendly and generally good people. I would probably go to a different dentist if I thought it would be any different. My first appoint was just terrible, can not begin to how bad, but I gave it an other try because my partner goes there and likes them. Also covered under United heal care. First off My partner and I asked for appoints at the same time. We were told that one after an other was the best you couldn't do. His appointment was at 11:00 and He was let in with 5 minutes. I waited 25 minutes. My partner only has 6 teeth left in his head and his cleaning (no x-rays) took over an hour. My cleaning was done in 20 minutes. I wax given 10 seconds warning that some fluoride treatment was being applied, and then I was told I could not eat anything hot. We drove an hour to have our teeth cleaned and I was promised a nice lunch out, and that was spoiled with this announcement. I would have refused the treatment if I had been given a chance. I did not feel that my teeth were properly cleaned. the gal I had said I had a lot of tartar on my teeth and I should floss more. If I had a a lot of tartar she did not spend much time taking it off, and the polishing part was so quick I'm sure she only did the outside of my teeth. I did not feel my teeth were clean at all. I asked if the dentist was going to look at my teeth. I was told no only when I get X-rays, which they do every other visit. The dentist did examine my partners teeth!!!~ I told my hygienist that I would not be making an other appointment even though she said she could make it for the same time as my partner. So why could we not get an appointment together in the first place. The hygienist asked me to wait and she left the room. I was certain she was going to tell someone that I was unhappy. The dentist did come in and told me I could leave and I did not need to speak to anyone else, just leave! Wow. If he had just talked to me, I would not be nearly as upset as I am. I have been a patient of Dr. Acones since December. He is such a personable and talented guy! Through out my procedure, he made certain I had NO pain at all. He has always talked me through every thing he was doing. I never thought I'd say this, but I actually enjoy going into Aspen Dental and seeing the great staff. People say they're expensive. Well, yeah health care, especially quality health care isn't cheap. I think the main issue should be getting dental covered under all our normal health insurance. That's not their fault. So, yes, have access to a little bit of money before you go in, but their finance department is awesome, and easy to work with. I now have a great smile thanks to all their hard work, and I show it to them every time I go in. Don't be afraid. They'll take good care of you. read more

Let me spare you, do not go here. They lure you in with the new patient specials, and then everything goes downhill in a big way. My experience: Checked in an hour early for my 3:00 appointment, but somehow they didn't get around to getting me in to my scheduled appointment until 3:40 - that's an hour and forty minute wait! And during that time no one thought to give me my new patient paperwork to fill out, so I had to do it in a rush once they brought me back to finally see someone. On top of that, the receptionists started arguing right in front of me about poor office communication - no shit, sherlock. My fiances experience: He scheduled an appointment to have his wisdom teeth removed months in advance and paid at scheduling (a strange and terrible aspen dental strategy), only to have them call the morning of the surgery to tell him that whoops! They had miscalculated and in fact the procedure would cost 3x what they had quoted him. He didn't go that day, but they held onto his money. He recently rescheduled the procedure for the updated pricing, but realized the next day that that appointment time didn't work for him. He called to have the $1200 refunded, they said they would and it would process in a week. Nothing happened. I called and they told me it would go through now and would process in a week. Nothing happened. That brings us to now - still fighting to get our refund. Clearly will never be going back. Very nice but completely ineffective customer service - their business model is to take payments up front as a nice interest free loan to themselves and then never refund your money once you realize that they are complete sham. read more

Aside from the longer wait times to get in to be seen, I have had really great experiences with Aspen Dental Williston. They were very willing to work with me and my financial situation. The care I have received has been top-notch. All the staff has been very willing to answer all my questions and they did so in a very pleasant and non-diminutive manner. The bedside manner of all the doctors and assistants has been super sweet and friendly. When I go in the back, I feel like I am getting great care by people who know what they are doing. Yes, I have experienced long wait times, but I can separate that from the actual service and care that is being provided. Bring a Book. But all in all, I am very pleased with my care! read more

Unbelievable. I was 15 minutes early for my 2pm appointment, which I thought was a cleaning, to then wait another hour before seeing me. The front desk was very disorganized and cared more about her Halloween costume than anything. I waited an hour and 20 minutes to take x-rays and find out I need to schedule another appointment for a cleaning. This makes NO SENSE when I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. This office is a joke. Yes - friendly staff, but you should be more concerned about what your customers are voicing than making fun of them. Told me I needed a new crown, later, different dentist decided to pull my tooth and broke the crown beside it while pulling the tooth that they told me could be fixed, wanted me to pay for their mistake! I have used this office for my past 2 cleanings. The wait times can be incredibly long and rival those that you would experience at a busy doctor's office. My first appointment lasted 2 hours (exam, x-rays, cleaning)! At my second visit was told that I needed to have a filling and had another developing cavity that could possibly be re-mineralized if I purchased at $30 toothpaste. I felt that it was odd that I had two problem areas since I have only had one cavity in my life. I got a second opinion from another local dentist and was told that I was at very low risk for developing cavities and that the tooth that supposedly needed to be filled looked no different from my other teeth. read more
