I rarely post on Yelp but I love my teeth and it is very sad to say that I cant find a dentist that cares more about my teeth then the money. Its a cash business and Dental work is becoming only for the rich and it should be illegal for them to charge us for things NOT needed. They texted 3 times and called for a verbal confirmation so they knew I was coming but I sat in the Winter Haven lobby from 2:15 until 3:15 for a 2:30 Appointment. I did like the person that cleaned my teeth but I think my cap has been popped loose and have had terrible pain. I have been calling Winter Haven since July 2nd. 27 phone calls 3 messages and No one had called me back until yesterday. I did call first thing in the morning and got this answer.... "We only have one Doctor in this office and we don't have time to call back, you need to walk in the office for help!" Apparently My teeth and I are NOT important to Winter Haven Aspen Dental. I called another Aspen Dental office and they answered and explained. I might have to give Lakeland a chance because I have invested my time and 2025 resources to Winter Haven Aspen Dental. After reading these Yelps I guess I should be thankful I didn't let Winter Haven do more than clean my teeth. So sad the money is more important then the people and the health of their teeth. read more

I'm so disappointed with this Aspen Dental office in Winter Haven. I made an appointment for my daughter to get her tooth checked out since her filling fell out. They did the exam, told her that she needed to remove all 4 of her wisdom teeth, even though she was not in pain nor were they affecting her other tooth. They kept telling her that she was in pain and she would repeat that she was "NOT". I was applauded when one of the ladies tried to get my daughter to fill out the "Care Plus app" when she told her she did not want too. My daughter has no income and a student, why would you want to have her credit pulled. My daughter wanted to call me to consult about the dental work, but the lady in the office kept telling to wait till she signed docs. That really got me pissed and so disrespectful. I called the office twice (2wks now) to have Mgmt (Jackie) call me back and still have not heard from them. I don't recommend going to the Winter Haven office, can't talk about all Aspen Dental. I know this is just my experience with them, but I would read up reviews before making an appointment!!!! read more

Worst front desk experience. Phone system is horrible. Call and call no one answers the phone. Billing practices odd. I received 2 bills for services on 2 different days that I was not in the office for service. Charges then disappeared. I had a deep cleaning done and was told it would take an hour. I received numbing and it took 45 minutes before employee started procedure. By that time numbing starting to wear off. Employee was working on someone else. Dentist did come in several times to check on me. He did try to speed the other patients service. When they got to my deep cleaning only 20 minutes so she could finish the other patient. This type of business is not for me. read more

I was impressed. I had a really bad ache on the bottom jaw.they figured it out, pulled my wisdom tooth out on the spot. Same day appointment. First time. Good bedside manner by all. They surprisingly didn't take my hmo insurance despite my insurance website basically saying them and greensburg being the only ones in my area that do. So I did have to pay out of pocket and that hurt a little lol. But all in all pretty decent. Decent enough for me to consider the higher premium plan from work to be a regular here. read more

I'm military my coverage covers all but somehow they still tried to charge me $400 for a cleaning. Lady at front desk was nice though. Go anywhere else if you like your money. read more

RUN! Dont walk away RUN!!! Super unprofessional and irresponsible staff. If they could charge you for greeting you they will. You go in for a routine cleaning and they wont touch you until you get some sort of other work done. After spending 800+ dollars. I got a whitening done in February 2021 its now December still dont have my whitening trays. Got attitude for asking why my trays were not done after getting my impression done again and being told to come Monday 12/20, it is now the 23 and its still not ready. No explanation, nobody being held accountable, no option for refund. Oh and they are infamous for last minute canceling your appointment, last minute meaning you are at your appointment waiting and they tell you after an hour of waiting. read more

We we're established patients for years with the same insurance. Dental care is ok, but be sure to get an itemized bill up front and question everything. Run by amateurs. Confirmed 3 times what my cost would be after insurance was told same thing each time...even when i checked out i paid the quoted amount.....then of course about a month later i get a bill from aspen dental claiming my insurance didnt cover as much as they thought it would (typical shady medical practice), now they want to charge me more than i couldve paid cash elsewhere after charging my ins. God knows what. I of course will not pay out of principle so i get those nice debt collecion calls constantly and I havnt even got to worst part yet. Some small girl fresh out of school it seemed comes in to pull tooth and cut and yanked on me for about 30 minutes!!!!! For one tooth extraction (nightmare!). Worst dental experience Ive ever had by far. Due to her lack of experience ive had tinitus for two years now since going in there. Yes my left ear has rang nonstop since going there and they have the nerve to try to charge me more because you practically sign your life away when filling out their paperwork. Also had a small piece of tooth work its way out of my gum several months later that she left behind. I wouldnt even recommend eating at checkers or chipotle as they are right next door and aspen dental will probably find a way to get in your pocket some how. I am considering suing. read more

The dentist and assistants I saw were really great. They get five stars. The office personnel seem disorganized and the lab must hire from temp agencies. Scheduling the first appointment was a breeze. Follow-up calls are a waste of time. I actually talked to a person once. All other times (10-12 total) I sat on hold for 12 - 15 minutes until sent to voice mail. Of all the messages left, one was answered. My journey began the Monday after Thanksgiving, 2022. I had broken a tooth that had a false attached. Aspen recommended replacing with implants and I agreed. Was given a total and paid. About three months later, I'm scheduled to have the crowns installed and told I owe an additional $1800. "Oh, the previous total did not include the crowns." My options are go somewhere else and pay again or suck it up. The crowns did not fit properly. Another month with no front teeth. They made what is called a flipper, but fit was so poor, I could hardly talk and looked like Buckie the Beaver. Another month later and one crown fit, the other did not. At least they were able to temporarily install these while I waited yet another month. That month stretched to six weeks. Trying to schedule an appointment now, but keep winding on on perpetual hold. read more

In my opinion, this office was more interested in revenue production than in me or my dental care. I arrived early to an empty office which then filled quickly. I went to the desk and asked for information about my bill for this visit. I asked several more times asked but was told I'd speak with the office manager. That never happened. Despite my requests to discuss my insurance coverage and bill BEFORE any procedures, I was escorted directly to an x-ray space without getting answers to my questions about my expense for this visit to check a toothache and to plan a cleaning. Without any financial answers, and after being escorted to an xray device, I retrieved my paperwork with my private information and walked out feeling my questions were ignored. This visit came across to me as more about producing a large bill for me to pay rather than my requested dental care (an insurance covered check of a toothache and my periodic cleaning). I suspect good dental care may be found here if you can get past the unfriendly, commercialized office and upricing. read more

Made an appt. and seen the same day for dental exam. Very nice schedulers on the phone, the place was so clean and with the nicest furniture and up to date equipment. The receptionist was super friendly and the office manager was so kind. Billing person was so pleasant too. No overbooking, I was seen within 10 minutes of my arrival! I had 3 visits for dental work and every visit was pleasant. The people are professionals and I would def go back for future dental work. read more

I am currently a patient at this location. While the medical/dental personnel in the back are awesome, professional, well trained and use high end equipment, the front desk is a mess. It's always been that way and it's really a shame. This time, I'm trying to make an appointment for a teeth cleaning. I've called FIVE times to make that appointment. The 1st time, I waited 11 minutes on hold and hung up. I tried again. Someone from the back took the call to put me on hold. The call got dropped. The last three times I called, I got an automated message that said they weren't answering and the mail box is full so I couldn't leave a message! I need to find a new dentist. Total Nightmare. 13 times I had to go there after they made my partial. Still could not eat with it in my mouth. One of the times I came pick up the partial. The receptionist just handed it to me and that was it.It was in a sandwich baggie with some water. I stood and waited thinking they were going to take me back to see if the adjustment worked but no such luck. So I tried it on right there. That was the 7th try. The only good thing was Dr. Neguyn, who I did not see until the very end. Once I saw him everything was taken care of. He was the only one who made me feel like he heard anything I was saying. He took his time and looked me in the face when I spoke about my concerns. My advice is if you are going here to request Dr. Neguyn (pronounced "When"). If you see anybody else good luck and depending on how thier current relationships are going is how you will be treated at reception. read more

I hate that I even have to give this place one star. Receptionist are not welcoming at all. You walk up to the counter and have to say hello to them. The second time I walked in and signed my name in and the receptionist never even acknowledged me the 15 min I waited in the lobby. I went in due to having pain on a back molar. I went in and saw Dr. Chamorro. He was very friendly and explained everything great. He gave me the option to do a root canal on the tooth or extract. I elected to extract due to having 2 root canals done already on this tooth. I went in 4 days later and saw Dr.Spiro to due the extraction. He asked after starting the procedure why the previous doctor didn't prescribe me any antibiotics. I told him to ask the doctor and find out because I wasn't aware of needing to be on the. So as he is trying to numb me but is unable to numb me underneath all of the infection. I was in excruciating pain during this procedure because I was not fully numb. So I was very upset the Dr. Chamorro for not prescribing any antibiotics. Two weeks later I am still in a pain, it wasn't that bad but it bothered me enough when I was eating I would have to stop. I work in the medical field and have access to a dental x ray machine and took a x ray and found that there was still a root and debris from my root canal left behind. I went into Aspen Dental to have them take a look at this. Dr.Spiro conveniently retired and the following day after my procedure and was unavailable to talk with me. They told me I would have to see a oral surgeon to take care of this issue (At my expense). They did not offer to make it right, or want to help me at all due to me signing the risk form. I understand signing the risk form. But what I do not agree with is not having a post op x ray after the extraction when he obviously could see he did not take the tooth out in one whole piece. If he would of taken a post op x ray and told me I left this root behind due to it being in my main nerve or whatever the case may be, I would understand. But he didn't even know he left all of this behind. This is complete negligence on there part. It is upsetting that they couldn't even make this right. I am mainly writing this review to help others that end up going to this practice and have the same issues. Please make sure if you choose this practice and have an infection and need an extraction, get antibiotics. Also if you have an extraction make sure your dentist does a post op x ray. read more

I wish there were an option to select no stars because they don't deserve it. I would not recommend coming to this aspen dental. This is by far the worst experience I've had . I signed a contract for a procedure that totaled to 1,115.00 and after already paying 631.10 they raised my account balance to 1, 050.70. I spoke with a Brandi there who in the begging I thought would be of assistance and told me my final balance was 483.90 not 1,050.70 and she was unsure why it was showing that price and it would be corrected after my payment was made. Unfortunately their website had the balance preselected and my card information was already uploaded on my computer; they quickly took my money and They have been very unhelpful with reimbursing me. They gave me the run around saying it was my insurance company who need to refund me 566.80. My insurance personally contacted them advising they needed to reimburse me for anything that was over charged. I proceeded to contact their corporate office and I have yet to hear from anyone. Every time I try to contact their patient satisfaction team I'm told there is no one available and they will get back with me within 24-28 hours and not one person has contacted me back . read more

A total waste of time. My 94-year old mother was staying with us as a hurricane evacuee. Her partial was broken, and needed to be repaired. After a long wait for a dentist to examine her before they would try the repair, they wanted to do X-rays, too. We asked them to show the partial to the lab to see if it could be repaired, they refused to show it to the lab until a dentist saw it; the dentist wouldn't look at it until she had x-rays. We just needed it repaired, it would've been a better use of the time wasted in the waiting room. I could've driven to the next town over to take it to a denture lab, it would've been worth the inconvenience. I'll never use nor recommend Aspen. read more

Went here under the assumption that they took my insurance. When I arrived they said they didn't and the receptionist wasn't nice. I figured I would stay and at least get the free exam. I figured why not. Well, after x-rays and three different people poking around in my mouth I met the dentist. He was nice enough. He started talking about extractions, bridges, fillings, and an antibiotic cleaning. He gets done and I was taken out to make my next appointment. At this point I know I am not going to stay but I want to be polite. They hand me a bill of the expected price and it was close to $9,000 (almost $1,000 of that WAS FOR A CLEANING)! They kept trying to get my license from me to run my credit so I could start my payment plan. I high tailed it out of there. Made an appointment with a dentist office that takes my insurance. I would just like to note, the next place I went said all I needed was a cleaning. No cavities, no extraction necessary, no fillings... Nothing. I got my cleaning on the same day. Aspen is just trying to make money. They care more about revenue than what is necessary. I think they bet on the fact that most people would assume it is this expensive everywhere so they bite the bullet and stay. If you have to go to Aspen, I would suggest getting a second opinion. read more

Screw this place. I tried to go here and they had to reschedule twice on their terms. First they called the day of the first appointment to tell me a provider went out of town so the wait was 1 hour or more. I can't miss hours of work for ttheir scheduling misshap. So two weeks later I go in for my second appointment they made for me. They call a few hours earlier to verify I'm coming. Show up and everything seems alright. A few minuted after my appointment time they tell me their server is down and can't do anything. I can wait and see or reschedule...again. Its after 5pm so I decide to wait and see. 30 minutes later, the lady says it's still not up and they can't reschedule me until tomorrow when it's working. At what point can you charge them for missed appointments? Wasting my time off on this nonsense. I just wanted a treatment plan started. read more

Great staff. Very polite and professional. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist was helpful and friendly. The best dental experience I've ever had. Luis, the officer manager, helped answer all my questions regarding my finance options and explained everything in great detail. I would recommended this office to anyone. Keep in mind they can't discuss payment options without understanding what they are dealing with first. You have to be x-rayed and checked out first. Then they go over all the options after that. I was never confused. They took my insurance and applied it to the "future billed procedures". I paid nothing for my first visit just as they advertise. Not really sure why all the bad comments. They called me and emailed me three times to make sure my appointment was still happening. I waited no longer than 10 minutes to be seen. There's a reason why they ask you to fill out papers before hand. I had a great experience. read more
