He performed a full-body ultrasound screening--heart, carotid artery, thyroid, abdomen, pelvis, etc.--and even did a stress test (which ended up being my favorite part!). He explained everything clearly, in non-medical terms, and took time to educate me about my own health. He also recommended lab work to help complete the picture. I wouldn't trust this business....I felt for years something wasn't right, I visited aspen screening in 2018 for a cardiac screening. I was told that I had a slightly leaky valve but nothing to worry about. Fast forward to a year ago started to have palpitations and my severe migraine auras got much worse, more stroke like. My primary sent me to a cardiologist and I have not only a leaky mitral valve but a large hole that I had to have closed as well as a bicuspid valve. Both missed by this echocardiogram in 2018. To think I could have taken care of these issues years ago frustrates me. Not sure if his equipment isn't up to date or the way he screened me wasn't adequate but my echo tech told me at least the bicuspid valve should have been picked up back then. I went to get an ultrasound to rule out a hernia before I had an umbilicoplasty, the "dr" at this place did not release the results to me but sent them directly to the cosmetic center that did my surgery. They told me that the ultrasound did not show a hernia, 3 procedures later, they find the hernia and I had emergency surgery to correct it. He also diagnosed me with a variety of things including a heart arrhythmia and possible hypothyroidism. A couple of hundred dollars worth of tests later, I have none of the things he diagnosed me with. He also told me I had a cyst on my neck that turned out to be a blood vessel. Any experienced ultrasound tech should be able to tell the difference between a cyst and a blood vessel. I literally took the printed picture of the cyst, to Kaiser and compared it to the live ultrasound and found that it was, in fact, a blood vessel. read more

Really disappointed in this place, I've had my gender reveal appointment for a month, & we planned our families to come after and do a gender reveal after our appointment, we were so excited I could barely even sleep the night before. The morning of my appointment that I had scheduled for a month I receive a text from Dr. Z canceling our appointment because his staff couldn't make it in. First off, Why don't you have more staff to cover issues such as this for back up? Second, do not text cancellations maybe a phone call would be better. Third, gender reveals are a HUGE deal during pregnancy & if you're going to treat it like something that can just be rescheduled-THEN STOP OFFERING THIS SERVICE. This is not something easy for the family to reschedule when it was planned for a month in advance around a lot of peoples schedules. I will not be using this clinic in the future. Dr.Z is very knowledgable, friendly, & customer oriented . I have been going to him for about 4-5 years now. I personally believe that prevention is key. By doing these full-body ultrasounds, it gives me a baseline to compare my scans with. I am in my early 40s but it is so imperative to know your "insides", especially in this pandemic. Preventative Screening is the way to go! Because of medical family history, I decided to have these ultrasounds done. Dr. Z found a Thyroid nodule which I probably would have never known about until it might have been too late? It is the best money spent. Dr. Z is awesome! He's sweet and caring too. Today I went to see Dr. Z for a preventative health screening. I was pleasantly surprised how easy and comfortable I was given how scary something like this could be. My sister and I both went together and his diagnosis was extremely accurate to what I was told previously by Kaiser Doctors but with a more thorough and clear explanation. We were checked from head to toe and he explained each step to us as he examined us. I want to post a follow up to my original rating. I had emailed this office the day I showed up and no one was there. The owner followed up with me a few days later. He apologized, saying he didn't get the notice of appt and there was a software issue. He offered to reschedule at a significantly discounted price. When I arrived to my new appointment, he was very nice and efficient. He explained everything as it was happening. He also verbally discussed what he was observing. At the conclusion, he indicated he would send me a follow up written summary that I could take to my doctor.
