Not at all what they used to be. I have been a patient for around 10 years and I used to be happy with Dr. Fakhoury and his team. More recently I have had a few negative experiences, but today was the worst. I tried to make an appointment to go over my lab tests (which in the past I have had to proactively take upon myself to remind them). Otherwise, I would have never received a call. Anyway, I spoke to "Gerta" who was rude, condescending and disrespectful. I was on my way to a sales call when she told me a PA could call in 30 minutes. I explained that I would be with a client, can we try for something else. Not only did she let me know that "I was lucky to get that appointment" she also said there was nothing else available. I asked who her supervisor was and she said, "Diane. Do you know who that is?" as if to intimidate me. I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. read more

Sick? Don't think about calling here, by the time your better is when you can be seen, not a joke. Got into a car accident and need to be seen by your physician for a wellness check? Forget about it, you'll need to wait 3 weeks before you can get a proper assessment. Yes, Dr. Fakhoury is a decent doctor but his wait times are so outrageous and his finance team won't bill you until a whole 2 years later. As a patient who's been with Dr. Fakhoury for almost 10 years with my entire family and extended members, I wouldn't recommend seeing him for any medical emergency. I called today to ask for allergy medication prescription to be written for me since I'm sick and needed it yesterday. The front desk was ZERO help when I explained that I live at my college which is a bit of a distance away and can't come in and wait. She kept telling me that the Dr. hasn't seen me in a while and I'll need to come in (for allergy medication I've been taking since before I started coming to this doctor). Then I asked for a telehealth appointment, she said it's a week out. I'm sick NOW and by then I might already be better. What's the point? She just kept insisting it was I either come in or wait a week to see the PA via telehealth. ZERO help. Also don't bother walking in, you'll sit there longer than you would in urgent care. My husband I both loved him so when we moved back to California we both agreed we should go back and have him be our kids doctor. Fast forward to today (present day) I give a BIG fat Zero. Well I just called and after being on hold for 18 minutes I was then told the earliest they can see our kids is 3 weeks or more. The date given was actually 4.5 weeks out.. that's just nuts and beyond ridiculous.. I'll gladly go elsewhere just so I dont have to deal with this behavior. Of course, I didn't plan to wait this long and found out they had a lot of patients in the office on this day. Had I known the wait would have been so long, I would have brought some work along. This is the first time a doctor had taken the time to ask many pertinent questions on my initial appointment and then on the follow-up we discussed these questions along with documenting my family history to provide Dr. Fakhoury with a good baseline to better understand me. Well first off. I drive an extra 35 minutes to see this doctor in relation to my previous doctor. Dr. Fakhoury is well worth the wait. He actually sits down and talks with you to go over everything that you have a concern about. He actually cares about his patients, unlike other doctors I have came across. He is never in a rush to diagnose you and get you out. He takes his time. When I first came in as a patient he sat with me for over 40 minutes. People who complain about the wait just don't understand how much this doctor cares about you. This is why I say he's worth the wait. People we need to understand that we need to be patient and understand that we are all need attention. When I first switched over and went in I was able to feel the difference by just walking in. The environment is soothing and helps you relax. The staff is an "A+" staff. They are on top of everything from greeting you to the follow up. They offer an in-house personnel to draw blood and even do ultrasounds. Why go to a third party when they have it in their own office. Many of my family and friends are actually leaving their primary care doctor and coming over to have Dr. Fakhoury as their new primary care doctor. I would say about 10 people have came over since I've been coming here and it's only been 4 weeks I've been coming and we are all happy with Dr. Fakhoury and his staff. So it's over -- the lab fixed the lab fee issues. I still had to hunt people down myself no thanks to the doctors office. I even had to call my own insurance.... Complete nightmare!!! My other concerns: December: annual physical April: bill the customer September: mail it out!! I'm looking for another dr to go to next time. No matter how pleasant he was... Ps. I was billed $85 for a "I think I have a deviated septum" question. Doctor says: "Its probably allergies." Doctor takes a flash light up the nose. "I'll write you a prescription for it". Come to find out that it was so expensive that I couldn't justify it... I never filled it. $85 answer and piece of paper that was going to cost me another $55 or $65... Hilarious... We recently relocated to the area from out of state and referred to this office. My children were both in need of updated HS physicals for athletics. We arrived to the office with the forms and they were seen together by the PA. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Our Blue Cross Insurance paid in full at $120 per child. I was sent an additional bill for $35 per child for the signed physical. This is by no means the first time we've had Physicals done. The fact that an additional $70 was charged for two signatures after already being paid $240 is pure greed. We will be finding a new Dr. read more

The main reason I stopped using this office several years ago is because NP Alleah brought up my being only about 20-30lbs overweight during an appointment that was for a prescription refill for something that had nothing to do with my weight. I had not mentioned anything about my weight to her or any of the staff. She out of the blue told me "I don't want you to feel like the fat girl" but if I got bloodwork done she could "prescribe you something". I hadn't felt like "the fat girl" until she mentioned my weight! I was in descent to good physical shape, in my early 30's, and did not have any physical limitations; so clearly my weight was not affecting my health or mobility. I had not complained of any health problems. I was really offended and didn't want to see the NP again so the next time I went there (for another prescription refill of the same med); I requested Dr. Rommey who I had seen once before and felt was very caring and through. When I was in the waiting room, I was told that I could no longer see him and only the NP was available. I had no choice so I saw her again but I still felt uncomfortable. I haven't been back since and will not be a patient there again. read more

Dr. Fahkoury is the model of what every physician should aspire to be. I owe this man my life and my sanity. Many years ago I was going through a very traumatic time of loss in my life. I was in his office for a blood pressure check. He noticed two things. My blood pressure had gone down but my mood had changed. He persisted and asked all the right questions. I was going through a divorce and because everyone disliked my spouse I got compassion or care from no one. This man CLOSED DOWN HIS OFFICE and proceeded to walk with me outside in the alley behind his practice for over an hour to get to the core of my issue and ensure that I was leaving his office both physically and MENTALLY healthy. Because of my experience I have referred many that I know to him. The most interesting part is that everyone I know who has been treated by him has a similar experience to tell. My appointment today was at 430 today...was here at 420....and it is 650 and have not been seen yet. I have been seated in a room....but still waiting..... This is seriously absurd. This review is specifically about Dr. Fakhoury seeing newborn babies. Dr. Fakhoury is a great, kind physician. His intern physicians are also extremely nice. Ally, his PA is amazing as well. His practice overall, however, desperately needs better management. I don't even think there is a specific office manager who takes charge. His younger medical assistants are rude and couldn't care less to do their jobs well. The young man was very nice but didn't know what he was doing. Poor training. The nurse who is possibly Filipina was also very kind. Dr. F is way too overbooked to be accepting new patients, especially babies. It's not practical to make a baby wait 2-3 hours WITH AN APPOINTMENT to be seen for a well visit, let alone a sick visit. There are too many people filling the waiting room coughing, etc. for a healthy newborn to be sitting there. I would have preferred to be told that the practice wasn't well set up for newborns, infants, or toddlers from the beginning. I tried taking my baby to him 3-4 times with unbearable wait times (2 hours minimum, with an appointment). They put us in the kids exam room where we waited an additional hour or more and we were sweating because the air was not set properly. The final straw was on a visit where I was waiting with my sick baby for an hour outside then another hour and a half in the hot exam room where my baby and I were sweating. I opened the door for circulation then finally went out to ask how much longer. An assistant who looked like she was hoping I wouldn't ask her for help said I was probably next. Well I wasn't next....i waited anther 30 min then I decided that was enough. I went to the front desk and explained that 2-3 hours of waiting was unacceptable for a sick baby. She was very apologetic and told me I was somehow forgotten, but she didn't try to stop me from leaving. What?!?! Forgotten?! I don't get it. The office is tiny. How can that happen?? Another note... The kids exam room is very dirty and has toys that are not cleaned in there. To be fair, the doctor did try to phone me that night to apologize but honestly I was just done. I'm not saying to avoid this doc but for babies, it's not the place to go. read more

I've been going to Dr Fakhoury for about 2 yrs and at this point I'm so fed up and done w that office. I like Dr Fakhoury as a person, but the way the office is run is so disorganized and mismanaged. The office ladies are nice but, no one communicates to one another. I've had many issues with billing, labs, appointments etc. Most of the time I call and no one even answers the phone, this is not just lunch time. The wait time is unlike any place I've ever been. Every single time I've been there I wait 2-3 hours past my appointment. I just can't even believe how they can think that's acceptable. If it's a matter of scheduling too many patients, then they need to sort it out. They constantly try to pawn me off on the nurse practitioner, Alea. She is condescending and flat out rude. She is the kind of person who has probably never had a problem or hardship in her life and can't understand why others do. I refuse to see her after how disrespectful she treated me. She also gets upset when patients opt to see the Dr instead. When I finally get to see the Dr. he rushes me and talks a mile a minute. I don't feel like he really listens to me or answers my questions. Not to mention, half the time he leaves and I still don't know what his plan is and his nurses don't either. They ask me, " Well what does he want me to do?" Um, isn't that your job to tell me? I tried to talk to Fakhoury about Alea and he wouldn't even hear it. I couldn't finish my sentence. Dr. Fakhoury has been our Primary Doctor for about 11 years. Hands down, the best Doctor anyone could wish for. He is kind, caring, compassionate and a seasoned Doctor who takes his time in assessing you. For those people giving Dr. poor reviews because they have to sometimes wait long hours, please note that unpredictable situations arise daily and that will determine how the day unfolds. With that said, if you have an appointment for follow-up blood work and a toddler with a cough and high fever comes in.......it is not rocket science, they will likely take precedence. Maybe some of you have never visited an emergency room. Same concept! I too have experienced waiting hours to be seen with an appointment. Instead of getting worked up about, I understand that this is how it is at times and par for the course. All patients, and there are a lot, will get the same great service I get ....and THAT TAKES TIME. Prior to meeting Dr., in my previous 20 years of seeing other doctors, I have never had a Dr. assess me for more than 3-5 minutes and then send me off; I thought that was the norm. I say all of this because we have a high level of respect and praise for Dr. He has taken such excellent care of my husband and I, as if we were family. He and his staff always go above and beyond/go the extra mile to rule out a certain concern or illness and take whatever extra steps necessary for the issue at hand. I have personally experienced, and have also seen with other patients, where the staff work into their lunch hours to ensure all patients are taken care of. We know we are in great hands with Dr. So much so that when our insurance changed last year and tripled in cost, to continue with the same insurance that Dr. accepts, we discussed our options and finances in great length. We opted that is well worth the extra expense to continue receiving priceless, top-notch care (with no regrets). So my Experience with Dr. Rommie Fakhoury and his team. I don't like reviewing people badly, but this issue surely needs for people to see. I visited Dr. Fakhoury around 3 months ago, it after the first visit it was just a nightmare to get any results. First visit I paid around 120 Dollars for a consultation for me and another 120 for consultation for my mom. Bottom line I tell Dr. Fakhoury the several issues i had, and before saying anything he sent me to do several tests. So i schedule an appointment for the blood work, I go the day of the appointment, they schedule me at 11:00 am, I get there just to know that i cannot get all the tests done because there is one test that 1- i can only get done before 10:00 am, 2-they don't do the test at the clinic i had to go to the lab ; of course the day I made the appointment they did not let me know of either of these issues. I schedule a second appointment to get my blood work done, i get to the clinic to do part of the tests to then go to the lab get the one test i cannot get done there, surprisingly the nurses don't have my file, they don't know which tests I should be getting, they are totally clueless about my case, so they are just playing a guess game regarding which blood work i should get done. So they wasted another hour of my time, and I left without doing anything since i lost all trust in their work. After i leave i get a call from the office manager saying that they apologize for the inconvenience ... blah blah... and that they will accommodate me to my convenience , i make a third appointment, and i go get the blood work done, and then make an appointment for consultation. So the day of the consultation to see what's wrong with me, i paid 200 dollars again, one for me one for my mom, of course don't forget it was 3 months of work to get to that day to see what's wrong with me, so Dr. Fakhoury sees me and my mom for 10 minutes, he's in a rush, he says my thyroid is on the lower edge , that's all he addresses from all the issues i had told him on the first consultation. He doesn't address anything fo my mom so I don't know why I paid a consultation for her that day. He doesn't explain nothing about the medication to me, no side effects no nothing, bottom line , i take the medication for 7 days, and i gain 10 POUNDS! from the medication he gave me. I call after the 7 days to tell them what had happened, the secretary tells me to go back in for consultation, of course i told her am not going to pay another 100 dollars for consultation so he can see me 5 minutes and ignore all the issues am having. so she puts me on hold again, and guess what? She gets back to me to tell me that the Dr. after 3 months and all the money he made me spend, he recommends i better see an Endocrinologist !!!!!! I was furious, he didn't even get to the phone to see what the issue was! he completely ignored me! So 3 months, around 1200 dollars later between consultation fees and tests, i end up 10 pounds heavier and with a "you should probably see an endocrinologist" Thank you for wasting my time, my money, my health, and making me start from point 0 again, and 10 pounds heavier. Will not recommend at ALL! not the DR. not his staff, he clearly doesn't keep records, and he clearly doesn't study people case by case. read more

He's become my primary doctor and I've referred him to friends and family. Him being a great doctor also reflects on his staff, everyone here is really friendly and helpful. AMAZING family doctor. I am new to Dr. Fakhoury but from the very moment I met him, he has been over the top with caring for and accommodating my needs.
