Adorable cafe in Florence with excellent food and a quirky atmosphere! It seems to be a combination cafe/antique shop. They have local art available for purchase and some really beautiful and affordable pottery mugs that I couldn't resist buying. All of the bakery items look incredible and many customers seemed to be regulars and were telling me the best baked goods to buy. I ordered the mushroom melt sandwich without cheese and with a side salad and it was wholesome and delicious! The bread is made in house and it was amazing. I loved the vegan options and realized that it had been years since I've had a sandwich that's not lost PB&J. I really enjoyed my lunch here and I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone! read more

The smell of this bakery was calling my name. And of course making the decision of what to get takes precision because it all looked good. I chose the blueberry turnover and so happy I did, my husband went with the brownie which was moist and tasty, back to the turnover, it had layers of flaky, fluffy dough lots of sweet blueberries dusted with powdered sugar..... What a great locally owned business! We met the owners daughter the night before after asking for great breakfast spots around Canon City. Loved hopping right over to Florence to this unique Cafe that is filled with other locally owned business owners making the cafe homing. It is truly one of a kind. The quiche was delicious and we even left with a lemon bar for the road that wasn't overly sweet which was perfect for us! read more

Local restaurants are the best! We found this place on a weekend away from Colorado Springs in Florence. Bakery is amazing!!!! Quiches were very good and a good cup of coffee served in mugs you might have in your home. The other thing I love about this establishment, is selling local artists pieces. Her love, care and artisan pride show in both the breakfast and lunch menu- as well at the many beautiful pastries and deserts. She has many special items for those on special diets (gluten free, etc.). Came in for lunch. Had a chicken sandwich on focaccia. The chicken not entered on roll when they cut it, so 1/2 had lots more than the other. I felt like the bread seemed like a ciabatta instead of focaccia. It was probably a 3 1/2. Then, had coconut pie and I was wondering where the coconut was. It was just a smooth custard with coconut flavor. Would not get this again. I would return - it was more a 3 1/2 than a 3 rating. It was better than average. read more

I was in a hurry for lunch and saw this cafe had an average of over 4 stars so I decided to try it out. What a disappointment. I had the BLT with potato chips and an iced tea. The food and the drink was a solid 3.5 stars. The BLT could have used more bacon. It was the flies that made the dining experience poor. I did not notice them until I had sat down. Once I got my food they came after my food. Doing the Australian wave was not working. I gave up and left the restaurant with my food so I could eat in peace. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this place. It was always pricy but you used to get decent sized sandwiches. What they're serving as full size is what you'd expect a half size to be. And it's even more pricey. Quality has gone to pot as well. Even evident in the tiramisu. Nothing was edible. Waste of money and disappointment. Left hungry after we spent $40. read more

This place is a true gem. Located in Florence Colorado. I have eaten here many times and everything has been quite delicious. You can taste the love that goes into all of the food served here--the closest thing to your mother's home cooking you can imagine. Adorable little bakery located right on Main Street in Florence. Ordered the spinach and feta quiche--we got it straight out of the oven and it was amazing! Looks smaller than it really is from the outside. Inside it has got a grandma's-house vibe. Warm, inviting, a bunch of local artwork, pottery and ceramics lining the walls. Plenty to look at! Breakfast menu isn't big but I've heard what's on it is delicious. Friendly service, great coffee! Waitress said she gets it out of monument. Don't ask me how I ended up in Florence at 11:00 AM on a Saturday morning but I did. Looking for a place to grab a quick bite we happened upon this little bakery and cafe. So happy we did! The interior is spacious with scattered tables with a very homey, relaxed feel. There is quite a bit to take in without it feeling overwhelming. It's order at the counter and the service is very friendly and helpful. My partners in crime both had the Quiche which was about this size of a 1/4 pie plate and cleaned their plates. I had their Italian sandwich and it was incredible! The ham and Salami were of high quality along with the provolone and marinated tomatoes, but the olive mix and basil pesto spread completely made the sandwich. It was an amazingly good sandwich and honestly I wish I had one right just writing this review. If I ever find myself there again I will definitely be back, might even to out of my way to get there! read more

My husband and I decided to stop here on our way to check out houses with our realtor. I ordered the southwestern chicken with chili. Very good sandwich, though I couldn't taste thanx to my sickness. The chili was good with spices, just a different type of spice. I highly want to go back when I feel better. I can't say how my husbands was, he got the Italian sandwich with chips. MUST TRY! If you get a chance to visit Florence, Colorado, make extra time to eat at this little gem. We stumbled upon it one morning, and were extremely excited when we saw they had 3 types of quiche that morning. Ham and cheese, spinach and feta, and green chile. My husband, daughter and I each got a different one. Each had a wonderful taste, but my favorite was the spinach and feta. They also make fresh pastries which run the gamut from a huge brownie, to bread pudding, to pies, tiramisu just to name a few. Do not make the mistake of not trying this beyond cute bakery!! Just walk in and you will not be disappointed. Any sandwich with the homemade focaccia is divine. The owner Kris was wonderful and offered various homemade sauces for my sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Among the many antique stores along main street you will find this great bakery. They offer many types of sandwiches, 1 or 2 soups of the day, maybe a quiche or two and an assortment of baked goods (sweets to breads). There are only a couple of options along main street to eat and I am glad I picked this place. The food was fresh, tasty and service very friendly. Not sure if it is always order-at-the-counter service but when I was there it was non table service. Which too me is a big plus in places like this. read more

as always - lunch was a delight - I had a southwest lettuce wrap - was worried it would be too spicy, but was pleasantly surprised. I feel like I am at least watching my calories with a lettuce wrap....really wanted dessert, but steered clear.....have had before and could eat a whole pie. If anyone is going to watch the leafs change this weekend, There is a great bakery and sandwich shop in Florance. Its not two far off the beaten path. As you pull into Florance it takes you back to the fifties with a small downtown, old buildings, simple. In the middle of town is a great bakery with some delicious breads, pastries,croisants. We went during lunch and had some awesome sandwich's. the owner came around the counter and talked with for a bit she was super sweet. I wish it was a little closer it would definitely be in my rotation. We need more places like this in the Springs. If you are going to check out the leafs change, going to go skiing or just want a fun day trip this is a great breakfast or lunch place 30 min down south read more
