For my husband's 50th birthday party, we selected Aspen to provide our transportation for a 3 stop beer crawl. We chose an awesome 26 person party limo that was to include all the bells and whistles (Bluetooth stereo, lights and what not) and purchased decorations and set up the playlist for our guests. Literally 5 minutes before the limo bus was to arrive, we get a call from (a supervisor?) Sarah saying that there was a mechanical issue with our limo and that they would be sending an alternative one. Well, what arrived was a 50 person charter bus with no working Bluetooth radio. I had to run in my house and grab a small handheld Bluetooth radio just so we didn't ride in silence. And while it was nice to have a larger bus, it was actually too big. People were so spread out with the traditional seating, we weren't able to socialize (the whole point of us choosing the other style). Our driver Raul was fantastic and the bus was clean and stocked with plenty of water, but he arrived late and we didn't leave on time. That ended up cutting our first stop's time by 30 minutes. Also, we had a strange situation happen where the back door blew open while we were on a bridge and our driver had to pull over to close it. Pretty wild waving to the cars riding behind us while in motion. While our event was salvaged by our understanding party goers and a happy birthday guy, I am deeply upset with the switcheroo I felt was played on us. I didn't want to go online and complain but we did not get any follow-up from an email sent requesting a partial refund as we didn't get what we prepaid for. $2k is a lot of money to be spending on a basic bus with no stereo. I would not recommend this service as they didn't provide the product paid for, and they didn't try to right the situation afterwards. 1 star for the friendly driver and clean bus and water. read more

We had a limo for Mothers Day to tour the Columbia George! Joel picked us up and our entire day was so AWESOME!!! He was a gentleman that looked and acted so so professional. Aspen tours was great for our sons surprise 18th birthday party. Joe our driver took really good care of us and the bus was super clean. I was supervising the visit to Portland of a group of Japanese high school students for a week. From the fast initial response to my request for a quote, to our drop-off point at the end of the day, everything was perfect. My sister turned 30 in June 2021, just as businesses were lifting their capacity limits from COVID-19. Our group of 6 traveled to Portland to help my sister ring in big 3-0 and I was in charge of planning transportation. I was a little late in getting started so one night about two weeks before our trip, I requested quotes from 4-5 companies in Portland. Aspen responded within an hour. I was put in touch with Sarah in the Portland office, who spent a good deal of time with me on the phone making sure every detail was accounted for ahead of time. I work a corporate event planner for small groups in Chicago so I'm all about the details - probably to an annoying degree. But Sarah was patient, informative and pleasant. She worked with me to make sure we had a big enough vehicle for our group and all of our luggage (we needed to haul it around all day since we were checking into our Airbnb later that evening), she recommended wineries and lunch spots and helped us map our our route. And then there was our driver, Audra. AUDRA. She is the real deal, the MVP, the glue that held it all together. If you're reading through Aspen reviews, you've surely seen her mentioned by now, but if you haven't, I promise that no matter what part of the country or world you travel to, you will never find a better driver than Audra. She's just a rockstar. She made the day so fun! We spoke to her a few days before our arrival to review our route, finalize our lunch location, and go over any last minute details. She arrived at our hotel about 10 min before our departure time, showed us how to use the speakers, and provided bottled water and ice in the back of the limo. We were going to be early for our first tasting so she took us to a gorgeous look out point where we could snap some pretty photos. Then she picked up lunch for us while we were at one of our tastings. She had amazing energy all day (and it was a long day) and she made us feel like VIPs the whole time. We have used Aspen for Limo rentals in the past, but over Memorial Day Weekend, we decided to contact Aspen to rent an SUV for a group of six. We had siblings in from out of town and wanted to explore wine country with them! Aspen Limo had a car available with relatively short notice. Our chauffeur, Audra, made our experience fantastic! We stopped at several wineries and Audra was very accommodating to our 'loose schedule' since we weren't sure where we would want to go. She had recommendations ready also, and was willing to call ahead, in case we ran into a situation where the winery was too busy (as Memorial Day weekend is a busy time for Wine Country!) Aurda helped us play our own music and offered us a beverage right away in the car. She was very professional, always ready at the door when we were ready to leave the winery, and helping us in and out of the SUV. The SUV was the perfect size for our group, and no one had to worry about driving from place to place. Audra was fun and professional, and made sure we had a great day! This review isn't about Aspen, per say, but more about our driver, John. Today, my friend's husband booked a limo for her and her girlfriends for a wine tasting tour. It had snowed the night before, so we were somewhat worried about the conditions, however, we were assured the limo had studded tires and would be good to go. John arrived on time and was very friendly. He drove us to several wineries, many which were closed, so we had to think on the fly. John was great about figuring out what to do next and helping change the itinerary as needed. We ended up at a winery after lunch, and as we were enjoying ourselves so, John was always making sure we were ok. During this tasting, the limo ended up getting stuck in the mud and could not be removed. John came, covered in mud from obviously trying to get the limo unstuck, to tell us what had happened. He said a tow truck was on the way. Three hours went by, and still no truck. During this time, John was apologetic and constantly checking on us to see if everything was okay. We were having a good time, so the first hour of waiting wasn't bad, however, after waiting almost 3 1/2 hours of waiting for a tow truck, our patience was waning. John continued to be kind and polite and always trying to find a way to remedy the situation. He was exceptional and was continually apologizing. If it wasn't for John, we would have been extremely upset with the way the day turned out, considering after waiting so many hours, the limo company should have just sent another limo, but they didn't. They DID get us a bottle of wine to share, which was appreciated, but we wasted half a day of birthday celebration waiting for a tow truck to get the limo unstuck. John, you were a calm, cool, and collected rock star who was caring and kind in the midst of a not so great situation. Thank you!
