I just kept saying amazing and hilarious!! From the outside, looks a bit shady, from the inside it's where all your donated Christmas Decor, old skis, old furniture, and Iron Maiden memorabilia has ended up! Aspen Lodge touts itself as having the best Philly Cheesesteak in a 666 mile radius. From the small bite I had, I would agree. They also stand firm that the gyro is something you'll love- couldn't agree more! Their Happy Hour menu lists liters of cocktails for $15- so why not?! Server was so kind and attentive. Lots of people kept flowing in as the afternoon went on. It's all so amazing, random, and ridiculous! Glad it was mentioned in the Westword 100 Bars of Denver. Worth the drive to Westminster for sure! Forms of payment at this amazing establishment include cash, card, or gold bullion.

I was skeptical from the parking lot, but once inside, I was curious and enchanted. With a mix of Iron Maiden, giant lava lamps, and Christmas decor, Aspen Lodge transports and transforms. Touting the best Philly in a 666-mile radius, I had to order it. It is packed with seasoned meat, grilled onions, and gooey cheese--delicious. With a side of crisp fries, it was a satisfying and filling meal. Happy Hour runs daily from 12-5 pm with liter (yes, liter) cocktails for $15. Lifting the beer mug is a workout, but it's worth it. Our server was attentive and friendly. I will make the trek to Westminster again for this snowy lodge experience--way less hassle than the backups on I-70 to get to the mountains.

Thanks for being open Memorial Day!! This is a small spot, so might get super crowded during more normal hours rather than midday. And it's tucked away and you will miss it from the road. Opened with Baba ghanoush that had a wonderful smoky flavor and Bosnian ajvar. Both were delicious and served w/ plenty of bread. As mentioned both the gyro and cheese steak were delicious. But honestly next time (there will be one!!!) I may just work my way through the appetizers, or at least the Mediterranean portion.

Table was sticky and food was flavorless and my drink was watered down as soon as I got it. Then the bathroom..... OMG THE BATHROOM. Had a mysterious curtain was flys and bugs behind it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Amazing food! Appetizer of eggplant with tomato on olive oil was so good I kept eating it after I had finished the bread. I had the Gyro for dinner. It was tasty and plentiful. We were so stuffed after dinner that we couldn't make it to dessert. The fries were crispy and so good. The Service was attentive and very warm and inviting. The ambiance is unparalleled. Imagine an Iron Maiden concert during Christmas in Aspen. Cool and very eclectic.

    yum! Dolmas + fried mushrooms

Overall, it's not really a dive bar but not a "regular" bar either. It feels like someone bought a bunch of pool tables, found a large business spot, and set up a bar without much decoration or a theme or anything else. Not saying it's a bad thing, but the place is interesting. The drinks are cheap and service is good. However, I wasn't a big fan of paying for $12/hour for pool especially on a weekday.

The establishment should have more than one employee working, especially on a Saturday night. It took a good ten minutes to order drinks and reserve a table. The bartender was polite and accommodating, seeing how obviously frazzled she was. The table was awesome, much too good for how horrible we played, haha. They have a full bar and a large selection of beverages, all well done. We didn't grab any food, so I don't know how the food fares. I wish they had a website so the place was easier to check out. We had no idea what to expect. Chad thought it was a little eerie, feeling like a random, large storage space with pool tables, and that's pretty much it. They do have a couple of skeeball machines and a golf video game, but other than that, it's a poolhall, what else would one expect?

My favorite part of this establishment is the speciality drinks named after characters (Kirby, etc.). It makes it so fun! I also feel like the drinks are reasonably priced. They're very loud and colorful. If you're new, they have tutorials which is nice (also makes gameplay a little longer). Most games are like $1 for 4-5 rounds - except for Mario kart which was kind of a scam. Overall, it's a lot of fun for dates or hangouts or to play something different than pinball machines. I did see a lot of toddlers and it's not a place for toddlers. Most toddlers would ask their parents to play a game but they would get bored or confused and leave after the parent inserted the coins to play said game. Take them to Chuck E. Cheese instead or like Malibu jacks nearby.

There is a lovely patio and plenty of seating inside but this is a popular spot for good reason! Service is cheerful and expedient throughout. We started with the Mexican cold brew coffee and it might be the best coffee I have had in the area!! It was OUTSTANDING!!! Get it! It's the perfect blend of cold brew, horchata, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon and I think I could drink it everyday!! We each ordered a skillet, I had the chili relleno skillet with chicken and pancakes for the side and they must be putting magic in those pancakes because they were special. I'm not a big pancake person and I couldn't get enough. They were fluffy and yet they didn't fall apart and I could taste the vanilla they use in the batter. The skillet was massive and delicious and the rellenos were crisp all topped with a hearty portion of expertly prepared green chili. My husband had a different skillet and modified it to add extra proteins and also the rellenos. They were happy to accommodate. What a fabulous brunch experience! I wish I lived closer!
