This is maybe the most convoluted review I've ever written: We were happy to get a spot here on OpenTable for Mother's Day. Fortunately, it is close to our home and the reviews looked great. When we arrived, we redirected from the main dining room to another space the restaurant owns 2 doors down. I wonder if we may have had a more attentive experience had we been in the original? The first disappointment was that our meal took 40 minutes to arrive from the time that we sat down. Our waiter consistently forgot that my husband had ordered a Diet Coke or to refill the drink when he had offered. The tables around us seemingly were served earlier, even though we all placed our orders around the same time. I ordered the Thai Pork Belly Benedict, which was absolutely delectable and definitely something write home about! And the country potatoes side was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I would absolutely go back for this, just maybe on a weekday brunch due to the wait. I thought it was extremely unique how the children's menu was plated in a muffin tin, with 6 different food choices for just $12. Great deal! My husband had a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, which was really unremarkable. Reminiscent of something that you might self-make at a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, his waffle was cold, and he requested that they remake, which our server made sure was done in a timely manner. All in all, our meal was very reasonably priced at around $43. It appeared that we were going to have a great meal with great service, until...... Our server was very attentive, until food was delivered... then no where to be found. We ordered deviled eggs that were overcooked and too salty. My friend and I shared a burger and her son had the pork chop. Our meal arrived without any condiments (please.... a burger and no ketchup?). I attempted to flag down our waiter, but to no avail. I got up and found another server near the drink stand and asked for condiments. She said they would right over. Ten minutes later, nothing..... finally found our waiter who retrieved condiments from the kitchen... by then our burger was cold and not very tasty. The Brussels are a must, we got the siracha aioli but some of the best Brussels I've had. My husband got the beast burger it was okay, it looked a little dry, not like your normal smash burger. I got the street tacos, chicken tinga, carnitas and barbacoa. All the meat was okay, chicken was the most moist and flavorful. Would not recommend the barbacoa, very dry and cinnamon forward in flavor, carnitas was okay (chipotle is better). Great place in Arvada. Located in the Five Parks area near Standley Lake, Lot One brings a whole...lot. Brunch menu was extensive with so many options to choose from. While I had food envy from my fellow diners' order, really the food here is terrific. The server was absolutely fantastic. She checked in frequently with our group of 5 and was on top of things in terms of customer service. She was very kind when I had to return my Greek Grilled Cheese because the bread was burnt. She made sure to get a new one out to me asap. Pro-tip - the Greek Grilled Cheese, while it sounds tasty, is really hard to get right in terms of flavor and cook time for feta. Not my most favorite dish even after it was remade due to the burnt toast. Brunch cocktails are on par. They make a great, spicy bloody mary. (add the bacon for $1 - it is soooo worth it) Lot One also makes great espresso drinks. We found the service to be a little slow as a whole, including refilling our waters and attentiveness to either taking our order, checking on us, or bringing the bill. What a delight. This is a mixed use development with housing surrounding local shops and whatnot. There is plenty of street parking as well as a lot. Once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is industrial chic with mood music softly playing in the background. The kitchen is open so you can observe the talented cooking team. This is a very common atmosphere you'd find downtown, much less likely out here. The menu is varied, mostly pub fare with subtle nuance and finesse. I opted for the very well prepared BLAT. It had the perfect amount of mayo, as in just enough, which means it wasn't prominent in the sandwich. The hearty portion of thick cut bacon was fully cooked and chewy. The tomato, lettuce and avocado were very fresh. The Denver crunch roll was great. I expected more texture given "crunch" was in the name but I enjoyed it quite a bit nonetheless. What is really great is they allow for substitutions for the sides other than fries without an upcharge. I opted for the green beans, which turned out to be the haricots verts variety. They were expertly prepared crisp tender with a copious amount of garlic and what seemed to be some type of vinegar. This was outstanding. Note that preset tip amount defaults to 22% and factors in sales tax. If you opt for custom tip at 20% pre-tax, Toast tells you that you are "only" tipping 18.5%. If I owned this restaurant, I'd turn those settings off as this is fairly obnoxious and out of place with the rest of the experience. You aren't a miser for tipping 20% pre-tax despite these prompts want you to feel, if you are paying attention. read more

When we got the bill it was pretty high for what we felt we got. The last bit that was a little odd to us was the waitor we had. They were a little awkward and hung out around the table a little too long and came too often. They also didn't know the menu super well when we wanted to add potatoes as a side to a dish, she said it was already included with our meal so we didn't order them. To our disappointment, when the food came they weren't actually included and they said they would put in a side order for us which they never brought. The BLT was anything but. The bacon was super thick and dried out and the tomato and lettuce were lacking. What a cute place! I mean, really cute! Great vibe. Excellent service and delicious food! We only had one free night on our trip and were so glad we chose this restaurant. Food was a little salty but that did not affect our overall experience. It really began to snow while we were there and one of the servers did a great job calming us down. We had brunch for our first time trying out this place. They have the bottomless mimosas for brunch, which is a great deal if you're going to get at least 2 mimosas. Great variety of food options for brunch from handhelds, to salads, to small dishes. We enjoyed our back omelet and BLAT. Lot One has been on my list of restaurants to try for awhile and last night it finally happened. It has a very handsome, warm, industrial appeal to it. We came on a Friday, early evening, during happy hour. We ordered shishito peppers, crispy salt n' pepper chicken bites, Brussels sprouts and the Farmers Cheese. Wow! Lot One was everything I was hoping it would be. The Brussels Sprouts were cooked perfectly. I really liked how they were lightly charred on the outside. Those crispy little pieces of leaf are so delicious. The y were sprinkled with bacon bits and drizzled with a chipotle aioli which had a little kick of spice at the end. The Farmer's Cheese was light and buttery with a hint of sweetness from the honey. It was served with slices of toast. I would have loved to have a few apple wedges, strawberries and/or a variety of thin toasts with this cheese. The crispy salt n' pepper chicken bites were my favorite. These were one of the best chicken bites I've ever tried. They were so light - crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. This is what I think of when I hear "popcorn chicken". The shishito peppers were the most basic of the appetizers but they were still good. I wish they had a little more of something to add pizazz. Our server was friendly and helpful.
