We visited here over the weekend for a conference. The bar was absolutely packed and the poor server was working alone, but she did so with grace and humor! I'd like to try the restaurant here sometime too, but I'd like to see some good gluten free and vegan options. The place has a great ambiance with lots of seating and a cozy fireplace. I was so stoked to go try this place when I looked it up, but I was a bit disappointed. Apparently, since Covid, there has been changes to the menu and they are slowly opening back up. Anyways, I got to this place first and got a table for me and the girls. The whole entire time I waited, the waiter never even came by to ask if I'd like something to drink while waiting for the others. I was thirsty. I started looking at the menu as I waited and I was not very impressed. Finally when the girls arrives and the waitress finally came by with water, we asked what the other food was that looked like a buffet. She said we could order from the menu or do the buffet for 20 per person. At this point, I told the girls it made no sense to order a sandwich for 14 bucks when I can have more choices from the buffet for 20 dollars. So, we all did the buffet. The buffet was only ok like any other hotel food places. The eggs, sausage patties, and fruit were good, but the hash browns were a bit too salty and the toast was edible. The only thing that I liked here was that we were not time restricted so we can chat all we want. Overall experience was ok. I think the wait staff can improve on their attentiveness. Met some colleagues for dinner while visiting Westminster. Our team enjoys Tiller's when we are in the area. Great service and food at Tiller's. We also enjoy the atmosphere. Are you a chicken tender fan like i am??? If so, i highly suggest you try the tenders here. Arrived piping hot, not a ton of batter on them (the way i like it!), and the honey mustard sauce was awesome!! Actually my friend and i shared an order (so that we could save room for dessert!). Dessert was blueberry cobbler, topped with vanilla ice cream! Yummy! Other items our team tried and enjoyed: prime rib french dip sandwich and the fish and chips. Calamari was ok, weird portion size??? Brussel sprouts were very good - watch out, they have a kick! The biggest wow i heard at our table was for the tomato soup! Really pleasantly surprised. Our server Fabian (who was excellent and very attentive) recommended some great dishes. We started with the BLT deviled eggs which we were told were just like a comfort food but with bacon and that description is spot on. Then the spinach and avocado salad which had an excellent Greek yogurt dressing and was very fresh and light. The main course though was what really surprised and delighted. The pork shank was fabulous. A ultra tender, fall off the bone, giant shank with a wonderfully salty & tangy ginger soy sauce and served on a bed of mashed potatoes that were fabulous. Sorry Little Menu and Sorrier Service This was a very good restaurant from morning to night pre-Covid. Now, not so much. We arrived at the start of a Wednesday lunch service. They were still mopping the dining room floors when they would have had ample time, from late breakfast service or the closed time between breakfast and lunch. We were presented a sad little one page menu with very limited options that cost a huge premium. $25.00 for an overcooked "Wagyu" burger that was ordered medium rare and came out dry and well done. The menu reminded me of the wedding dinner you dread attending for the same reason. The server was a tad bit surly and literally said less than 25 words total for the entire visit. There was our table of 3 people and one table of one in the entire restaurant for the hour we were there. Refills were slow or not offered at all. The website for Marriott shows several (9) other options for dining in the immediate area. Visit the other nine first and leave Tiller's for the tenth option. Or better yet, wait six weeks and Tiller's won't even be an option for lunch. Be cautious of the 25% gratuity on parties of six or more. Nice work if you can get it. read more

Big fan. They allow cigar smoking on the patio. Very comfy and firepits and firetowers to keep you warm. Service is top notch. The folks here are genuinely happy to have you around. It makes the place so friendly and projects a laid back vibe. The decor is modern and functional. I rarely eat in the hotels, but I find myself eating breakfast and dinner at Tillers. While staying at Marriott, my family and I had breakfast and dinner at the Tiller. All food was enjoyable but the service was lacking. During each meal the staff was either super slow or completely nonexistent. We would watch staff walk past us over and over again and they would never check in with us even though we were all literally staring at them. Aside from poor customer service, the food we had was very good. From the cornflake French toast for breakfast to the buffalo burger for dinner neither meal missed the mark. I would recommend both dishes but be prepared to be ignored by the wait staff while you eat it. read more

I heard that this was THE place to go for breakfast. I was staying at the Springhill Suites next door and wanted to give it a try. We (group of three) came in around 8:15 and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was extremely quiet and unsure of himself. We did not know it was a buffet at first until we saw other people carrying plates to the other side of the restaurant. He never came back to fill our waters or check on us. Can't speak to the food as we never received it. My partner and I went for lunch and arrived around noon. Completely empty dining room. Ordered an old fashioned and Moscow mule as well as soup, brussel sprouts, and a burger. Sat for 20 minutes waiting for the drinks which were both way too heavy on simple syrup. Would have exchanged them but our waitress was MIA. Once we were at the hour mark with no food, a manager finally came out with the soup but we were done by this point. My partner said "thanks for nothing" as we literally had nothing; no food, no service, subpar drinks, nothing from this supposed "nice" restaurant. The manager said that "there's no reason to be nasty" and I completely disagree. There is no excuse for a completely empty kitchen to take an hour to make a burger and soup. We went for Mother's Day brunch. Called 4 days prior to make a reservation, after calling 10 other places this was the only place with availability, I understand why now. When we arrived, we found out it was a brunch buffet, no other options, which would be ok, except there was nothing really brunch about it. For the "breakfast" part, egg choices were frittatas or mini quiches, no scrambled eggs, no bacon or sausages, no waffles or anything else breakfast related except for the green Chile biscuits and gravy. If you wanted a meat and cheese spread for brunch, there were plenty of options there. Now to the "lunch" portion of brunch. There was salmon and mashed potatoes. The only reason i am giving 2 stars is because i was pleased with the carving station that served prime rib and turkey. So 2 stars for that. now my biggest problem is here....... There was ZERO advertising for the buffet or for its price!! $60 per person, and $30 for my child. Service was mediocre. We were the first to be sat and countless servers and managers just walked by us. Other tables were being sat and greeted, we finally had to stop someone to ask for drinks. When my bloody mary finally came, it was in an oversized shot glass that had more ice and vegetable toppers than actual drink. I do not and will lot recommend this place to anyone. read more

We have been going here for a few months now, mostly on weekends for their breakfast/brunch buffet and bottomless bloody marys and mimosas. We went in yesterday to get started with mimosas before going into the Bridal Show held in the hotel. We didn't eat this time and stuck primarily to our drinks. Brett was tending bar and did fantistic with all the bride and bride's maids once they figured out what $4 can get them. We enjoy our secret diamond in the rough for weekend breakfast and drinks but a little more focus from Mariott Marketing will fill up this place up. A later than usual visit to this local hotel restaurant proved worthwhile. After a concert at first bank center we used yelp to find Tiller's. Located inside the Marriott hotel they have extended hours for inside dining. We saw very few employees at 10pm but our server did pretty darn good. Nice menu. Some common and different options like buffalo cauliflower / chili Tai Brussel sprouts. The chicken tenders were the best I've ever had. Huge juicy pieces of chicken with a delicious fried batter. I chose the shoestring fries which can come with a side of herb butter which make them outrageously good. Salads were perfect size. Burger was cooked right. French onion soup was cooked perfect and not too salty. Our only complaint was the server screwed up two of our parties checks but that was easily worked out. read more

We have a client staying in the Marriott here which looked beautiful, so we thought it would be easy to just grab dinner here one night. They fit us in without reservations which was nice, and they seemed rather busy and it was a Tuesday night so I think this is a popular place. We all shared the charcuterie plate and the goat cheese appetizer. Both were wonderful and they did a great selection of meats for the meat and cheese plate. Most of us got flatbreads and salads. The salads were beautiful and lightly dressed. Everything was really fresh. The flatbreads were delicious and nicely proportioned. Not a heaping mound of food and the crust was light, thin, and flakey. The service was pretty slow in the beginning but luckily we had much to talk about, so it wasn't too noticeable. However, our waitress kept yelling across the room to other staff which was a bit weird, and after such a slow start she loudly checked in a little too much since this was a half/meeting.... Which their are worse things than having someone check in too much but it was a little awkward. Overall great place, wonderful ambiance. A bit vegas-like when it comes to the decor. We were staying next door and was told to go here for dinner b/c it was walking distance and had a better kitchen set-up. When asking the waiter about some of the items on the menu, he mentioned that the usual cook left last week, and there's a new cook. Well, they need to get ANOTHER cook b/c the one they have now has no idea what they're doing. My friend ordered the chicken strips w/fries. It was a little under done, so my friend sent it back. I got the Fish and Chips. The fries were cold and tasted like they've been sitting there all day. (So was my friends) I asked for new fries and what came back was the same old fries, just re-fried. So they were hot but hard. The 2 others with us ordered steak and were not impressed. The waiter was nice and took 10% off the bill but still.. over $200 later and it was a crappy last meal in Colorado. read more

Our waiter found that out, but did not ask the kitchen what I could eat - so I got to play a guessing game with him of "ok, then how about this, this, or this?" until we found something that was ok. My husband and I were staying at the Marriott and there are not a lot of late night food options around, which is how we wound up here. We weren't extremely hungry, so we decided to split something. We wound up with the chicken-stock-free tomato soup and grilled cheese. We both enjoyed it!! The tomato soup tastes like it's freshly made instead of from a can. The grilled cheese is crunchy, gooey, and the perfect accompaniment to the soup. If we had stayed in that hotel longer, we probably would have opted to eat it again. read more

This is a cool place, especially considering the dearth of cool places in Westminster. Menu is excellent with lots of clean, fresh, local stuff I want. Cocktails are pleasantly inspired. I'm a cocktail nerd will usually poo-poos house concoctions, but I like their inspirations! My fav is the Scotchtail, primarily JW Red Label and pineapple juice, it's lovely. Who does a Scotch cocktail beside the tired Godfather or Rusty Nail? Nobody. Only negs are price and service. Price is Denver high, but it ain't Denver. However, the are few fine dining options in Westminster, so if you want Denver style dining and cost, but local, it's one if the few in the running. Second, service. Most of their staff seem to be intent on coddling and chatting up their clientele. Great, but not when others waiting for service. Bartenders have the worst problem. They are often understaffed, I see that and know it's not their fault, but that's particularly not a time to pander for tips. When it's busy and you have a bunch of waiting tables it's not so cool to be hangin with peeps while others wait. Caveat, dude with the handlebar mustache, you are a standout. Three times in the bar and it's like he's the only one working despite 2+ other staff around. As attentive as possible, despite serving tables AND making drinks, while the "bartender" just yaks away. Understaffed, you will wait, and premium priced, but if those aren't issues it's one of the best places in Westminster. read more
