since it was recently reset conifer hardware has become kinda useless. They don't stock enough of anything to complete a project. If you need a light bulb you're in luck. If you need electrical or plumbing supplies you are likely not going to find what you need. They are either sold out or don't stock it anymore. i keep thinking how convient it would be to pick up stuff that breaks around the house there and I have always been willing to pay a little more because ace hardware products seem higher quality. But just like today when I went in for a round toilet seat I am usually required to get my hardware from Big R or the Moore hardware store in pine. Thehelp is usually not "helpful there either. Unfortunately I will have to agree with the other 1-star reviews: The customer service here is terrible. Receiving attitude at the front desk for lumber tickets that are not filled out correctly (by their own personnel) is just routine treatment from my multiple experiences. From what I can tell you have to be a friend/on first name basis to feel welcome, otherwise it feels like you're interrupting social hour. While I like to support local businesses, and willingly pay marked up prices to do so, I will be taking my home repair business elsewhere as a result of repeated disappointment. read more

I love the customer service I get at Aspen Park Hardware. I walk in with pictures on my phone and they talk me through how to repair as well as helping me accumulate the needed supplies to tackle the task with confidence. Love that I can order from Ace on line & it is delivered to the store free if they don't have it in stock. No need to go down to Denver when the expertise and needed supplies are only a couple miles away from my house! read more

I live close by, but will go out of my way (even drive down the hill) to avoid this place...the older woman who works here is unvelieveably rude. The first time I went there, I thought it might just be a bad day. However, she's been nasty ever since. (She only seems to cater to the people she knows on a first name basis.) This is an old-fashioned hardware store - closely tied to the local community and committed to serving customers no matter how "mountain sophisticated" they are. Quarters are tight but everything you need is within reach. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They are an Ace Hardware store plus they have a full-service lumber yard. Customer Service? When I went in to the store, there was a woman at the front register, from the time I entered to the time I left, who was the most rude sales person I have encountered in a very long time. I won't go back anytime soon because of her. She didn't greet me, never made eye contact with me, and treated me as though I was an interruption to her day. read more

Had an emergency with my Jeep on a mountain drive, Lost a caliper bolt made it to the auto parts store and even they didn't have it. Stopped into the Ace Hardware to see if they had it and was assisted by a young man named Sean who helped us find the correct bolts the lock washer loaned us tools and assisted us with actually getting the caliper bolt back onto my jeep. This young man went way above and beyond and that is some of the greatest customer service I have received a long time. Thank you so much Ace Hardware you really save the day. read more

Been coming here for 20+ years. Definitely the best place on the mountain or in town to get keys made. Friendly and expert customer service here too! If I could give zero stars, I would. Unless you like overpriced items and rude employees, drive the extra 15 minutes to Home Depot (skip Big R-they also have rude employees). I have had multiple bad experiences with rude, clueless employees at this store but yesterday was the last straw. I needed a replacement cord for a dishwasher and brought in the old cord to show exactly what I needed. The first person who helped me sold me an appliance extension cord instead of a replacement cord. He took the bad cord that needed to be replaced from me so he could measure it, so it was obvious that one end had wires sticking out-a clear sign it was not an extension cord. After getting all the way home with the wrong item, I took it back to the store and again brought in the old cord to show them what I needed to replace. This time the store manager brought me a different cord. I got home and realized it was wrong again - he had sold me a cord that didn't plug in flush to the wall. I drove back to the store again and complained that I had twice brought in an example of what I needed and was given the wrong item. The woman at the counter said, "Well, then maybe we don't have what you need." I said, "That's fine, but don't sell me the wrong thing. I should have gone to Home Depot." She said, "I think that's a good idea next time." I don't get angry easily, but her attitude made me livid. I used an obscenity - something I don't think I have ever done in a store - and walked out. The manager who gave me the wrong cord stood in the background and did nothing. My husband called the store manager to complain about how I had been treated. The manager said, "Why did you send your wife?" Are you kidding me? Can you be more sexist? In addition, the store manager put other employees on the phone to deny what happened, and never once apologized that I had had a bad experience. I wish I could say I support the small, local business but I will never go back to this store. read more

They always seem to have what we need. They are always willing to help and give us advice on what we need. I was surprised, thinking that because it is in the mountains that they would be expensive and they are not. Their prices are very reasonable. I also love that if they don't have it in stock, you can order it on acehardware.com and pick it up in their store. I special ordered something once and it took a little over a week with no shipping charges. Great customer service and very convenient. read more

I like Aspen Park Hardware! They were amongst the most welcoming folks up here when we moved to the region. Though it's a moderate sized store, they make the most of their space. I'm impressed with the rotary tool (Dremel) bits and grinder tips, the lumber yard, the variety in the bulk bins for birds and grass seeds etc. and the general spread of things mountain dwellers need. I ran a small water well drilling business in the Foothills SW of Denver and dealt with this business prior to the Current ownership. I watched as the current owners took a struggling business and made it one of the best in the area; if they didn't have what you needed they could find it. They are only about 1/2 hour from Denver Metro area but maintained prices that were competitive with Denver and knowing what the locals used they kept a better stock than the Metro hardware stores.
