Aspen Sound has been a great place for upgrades to our 08' Xterra. They have put in a very nice KENWOOD double din with all the current connectivity one would expect in a brand new vehicle. Bluetooth, Navigation, Sirius XM, other useful Apps. New speakers all around to handle the upgraded head unit & remote start. Heated seats will and a dash cam will be next. The sales team is very knowledgeable and great to work with. The install team is very professional and have always performed flawlessly to exacting standards. The upgrades all look like they came with the vehicle from the factory. Highly recommend! read more

We got a whole new stereo installed because the video monitor in my Yukon wasn't working anymore. They installed a Kenwood stereo and from the moment I brought my car home it was making this high pitched buzzing sound 24/7 thru the speakers. I couldn't handle it, so took it back several times and they tried to fix it. I came back again and they said they'd call me back with a resolution on how to fix it. Over a week went by, I never got a call back , I had to call them and was so frustrated that they couldn't figure it out or even wanted to try and figure it out. I took it to another sound shop in Hayden and the guy took it apart and figured out the buzzing noise in 30 min and fixed it! He explained everything and really cared! Aspen sound does not really know what they are doing. I would save your time and find another sound shop. I heard they're installer is only their on Saturdays and I never went in on a Saturday, so it makes me think they have some inexperienced person working on the stereo and trying to figure it out. I would think they would try and researcher call other shops around town to try and figure out what the buzzing noise was but they did not even try to do that!! read more

Check the reviews. I wish I would have. Just got my truck back. The stereo is not properly installed. The screen won't tilt back and eject because they didn't leave proper clearance. Also the CarPlay system doesn't work. I called and talked to Dylan who was my sales person. He said "are you using the right cable. Some cables are meant only for charging. (Wrong btw) is your phone unlocked? (I was talking to him on it so yes) hmm that's weird. Bring it back in tomorrow." Since most of the workers are about 18 years old they don't seem to get how "bring it back by tomorrow" isn't just an easy thing to do. Some of us have jobs lol. I'm not missing time on Xbox I'm missing work to bring my truck back to you to fix your errors. I would not recommend as of yet. I'll update the review based on how it goes tomorrow. read more

Bought a new system and Bluetooth speaker within about two hours of having it Aspen sounds warranty not only covered a replacement but because they didn't have one in stock basically gave me a loaner subwoofer in the meantime to keep me bumpin!!! I'm on a job site that they did the home audio install. It looks horrible. There's no craftsmanship. And since there's no inspector on low volt wiring they have codes to follow. But if your car audio looks like your home audio installs you couldn't pay me to have them install anything. I'd never recommend them. read more

I'm ready to drop hundreds of dollars for a car stereo and security alarm system, unfortunately they wouldn't return my call for a simple quote and appointment booking. I called several times & Each time I call all I get is, "we'll call back" and... nothing. Professionals will have the courtesy to call back or simply say, can't do it. I could've made other plans. Terrible- they installed speakers, amp and sub on our wakeboard boat. The salesman was slick and mentioned nothing about any issues with electrical interference when the boat was turned on until AFTER the speakers were installed and we payed the 3k + bill. Sounded great when the boat wasn't running but once it was turned on crackle took over. They came out to fix it twice. Now we just have no bass, lower volume and still the subtle crackle. So disappointed. I would never recommend this place. read more

Extremely disappointed. Had a remote install done here. It's garbage. It doesn't work properly... So I took the vehicle back to have it work correctly, and they took almost an hour past my appointment to even look at it. Major waste of time. They said they'd follow up with me to correct the situation, and they never followed up. When I inquired about a refund they said they'd only refund the price of the unit, as most of the expense is in the install. Yet when I originally asked for the price, they said the price which included "free install." These dishonest pricks don't have your best interest in mind. read more

Went to them to install a 4 channel amp they told me the left front speaker was not working I thought when you install an amp they rum new speaker wire to all speakers but they told me they tap into old wires then they told me another $65 bucks to fix it then they said they would have it done by 4 well picked it up at 6 and still no front speakers not happy at all bad customer service read more

Four years ago, I purchased a Control 4 all-home alarm, comfort and entertainment system. Since then, I had to have Aspen visit my home to handle minor issues such as a change to a Spectrum router. I brought my jeep here to have a stereo removed and a new one installed. The old stereo was to be installed in another vehicle. After about 5 hours. I called them and they said it was ready. When I picked it up the original salesman I dealt with had someone else come to show me the stereo. I think it might have been his second or third day. When we got to the backup camera it wasn't working. He went and got the tech who did the install. He stood at the back of the jeep pointed to it and said, "There's no camera". I had to walk over and point out the very obvious license plate camera. They took it back and told me the camera was defective. At that point the original salesman started to try and sell me a new license plate holder to be mounted in the tire to the tune of over 200. I wasn't happy and made that clear. It fell on deaf ears. When I left I saw that the tech had mounted the handsfree mike at the top of the windshield near the rear view mirror. That will make talking impossible when I take the top off, its a JEEP. Then the next day I get a text from the install tech telling me he may have left some tools in my jeep.... I did look for the tools. read more

Rude, the most unhelpful crew or arrogant children I've ever encountered at a place that installs electronics on cars. You don't buy the equipment from them, they wont install it. In fact they wont even give you the time of day. I think these guys are paid hourly. Get paid the same whether you do your job or not huh. Go to the spokane valley location. They are way over priced, I called Doug the manager 3 times with no call back after I have spent a couple grand there. Just found out that when they took the amp out of my 14' WRX they just cut the wires which is going to cost me to have replaced. I went in to price a Kenwood Excelsior double din radio for my kids car. They quoted me 499 which I knew wasnt right. I found the same radio new unopened on eBay for $179. Also quoted me an installation kit at 150 which was unreasonable....I didnt even need that as the radio came with everything I needed. Not sure why they wanted to overcharge me, but I wont buy anything from them now. read more

I don't have a lot of knowledge about car audio but the sales man that helped was named Cody Funk was extremely understanding as he showed my some systems and explained the way everything worked. Got a quote here for remote start with an otd price...then I got another quote from a competitor and also from a dealership. I quickly learned that Aspen knows their stuff and does the work at an honest price. I set an appointment but forgot about it. They called me to ask me if I could still make it and squeezed me in. They were fast, efficient and no surprises except getting the job done at the price that they quoted. They even stayed 20 minutes past closing time to wait for me to pick up my vehicle. Bought some HID lights awhile back. Maybe 6 months. Light went out and I connected the light to the other. It worked. So I replaced the ballast on the other working side. No go. So it was the ballast. Went in and they replaced it without a question. Which I thought was really nice. Had my record on the computer so no need for proof. Although, the companys website states that the product has a lifetime warrenty. So really they just get the refund. But I don't have to wait ! read more

Run! Run fast!! Run far!!! Avoid Aspen Sound CDA at all costs. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Aweful. These guys are pleasant to talk to, but make no mistake about it....they're used car salesmen who will say anything to make the sale. WORKMANSHIP: Moderate, at best. These guys are clearly more knowledgeable than the salesmen about what actually needs to be done and are quite capable of doing it. However, they clearly don't listen to customer input. I described what I wanted in detail...NOT WHAT WAS RECEIVED! TIME MANAGEMENT: Painfully slow and inefficient. Initially, I went in and described the work I needed done. "No problem, bring it in!", they said. A few days later, I dropped it off as planned. Two weeks later and it is still not completed. Honestly, it wasn't that complicated of a job. COMMUNICATION: Epic Fail! Two weeks to complete the job, and not a single phone call was made to update me on the status of the job. Additionally, not a single phone call was returned. PRICING: Grossly overpriced. I provided them with all materials needed to complete the job. They take TWO WEEKS to do the job. They failed to complete the job as requested. They make no effort to contact the customer (or even return phone calls). As a professional thank you...they bless me with a $65/hour labor charge....totaling more than $700. Overall, deeply disappointed with the Aspen Sound CDA experience. In all good conscience, I will not be returning nor will I recommend AS-CDA to any friends, family, or co-workers. read more

I had an appointment to have a stereo and speakers installed in a 1978 Ford truck. I brought in the stereo and speakers because I wanted a specific type of stereo (dual shaft) and basic speakers. My appointment was on Saturday at 3 pm. After about 30 minutes of waiting for my ride, one of the employees told me they might not get it done because they got busy. I was disappointed but didn't need the truck. On Monday I called about 330 and it still wasn't done. On tuesday I got a call and it was done. When I go to get the truck they hand me a bill for $390! I about shit myself! The stereo install was $130 which is totally reasonable, but they charged me $260 to install the speakers! One door panel was already off and I knew it needed one hole drilled for the speaker and I assume the same on the passenger side. There are three screws holding the door panel on so it's not rocket science. I knew I should have just done it myself. I was going to bring my 81 Courier in for an install but not now. Both my sons have had work done there but not anymore. read more

I have been dealing with Aspen sound for many years. I brought several of my friends and family remote starts, cameras, stereo systems, and last but not least LED headlights. The headlights flickered all of the time and I had them replaced and win one went out I was told I'm sorry your warranty has expired. The warranty should have been extended again on the replacement product. I was advised by Dylan that they are no longer made and I can buy the new one that's upgraded and still pay full installation price. These lights of been nothing but a headache so why would I want to rebuy them? I wanted the ones that I had replaced. Then my friend goes in and has all of his stuff removed from one truck and added to his new truck. Dylan advised him that he needed to purchase a new basil for his camera, once that was reviewed by someone else there they told him that a basil did not need to be purchased and that they do those all of the time. He dropped the truck off and is called later and told that the rear camera is broken and that he needs to buy a new one. This camera was removed from them put into a box and never left the box until the new truck was brought in. I Purchased a remote start system for my husband's jeep several years ago and it lasted approximately one year and he brought it down there and they told him that he was not doing it right. He was doing it right because we all have them. So it's just a piece of garbage. As I have stated, I have spent lots and lots of money at the store just to be treated like trash. We have given them several opportunities to fix the problems and it is never happened. I want people to be aware that regardless of warrantees or promises these people do not back their product up. Some of the staff there has gotten ridiculously arrogant and is always trying to push products that are not actually needed to up their commission. Sadly, if you want repeat business you need to treat your customers well because I am no longer sending people to them. I am very disappointed in Doug's staff. read more

We've known the Doug Lepard, the owner, for 20 years and trust him and his crew implicitly with all of our stereo needs for the house or the car. They've worked on several of our vehicles to upgrade stereo systems. And their crew just recently installed the Control 4 system in our new house, including a drop down 120" projector screen and a booming sound system so good it gives you goose bumps. Every time they've come to the house they've taken their shoes off or put on booties and they always clean up their messes. I hadn't been to this place in over 10 years, and I was hesitant to stop by. I needed to pick up some basic parts to install my stereo, and I figured I would pay a little bit more to not have to wait and have them shipped from an online order. When the condescending employee at the counter looked up the parts I needed, he quoted me $22.50 for a part I can order online for about $5.00. When I responded that the price seemed a little high and that I could find it cheaper online, he said "You can always find it cheaper online, but they don't have to pay for a building." I think he called me "bud" a few times too... I'm not going to tell this guy how to run his business, but let's just say he didn't sell me anything today, and apparently he thinks that online retailers pull their inventory out of mid-air.
