I personally could have ordered the part for a little over $100. To add on to that they ran a "mandatory" diagnostic on my car even after i knew what was wrong and 100% DID NOT ask them to run. After, i decided to just replace the part myself and get my car towed home due to their pricing being unrealistic. They said that I would still have to pay them the diagnostic charge of $200 DOLLARS! This company is greedy, has unrealistic pricing, and is not willing to work with customers who are low on funding. DEFINITELY don't recommend.

Highly recommend them!…read more Was on I-90 coming from Tri Cities WA heading to Riverside State Park in 90-degree weather when the battery light came on the truck while pulling a 3 horse living quarters. Started calling shops, and NW Diesel answered their phone and said they could fit us in to look at the truck. The AC ended up going out on us as well. Once we arrived (after dropping the horse trailer and horses), they were able to pull the truck in within less than 10 min to check it out and determined the issue right away and get the part ordered and fixed within a couple of hours or less. They were very helpful and understanding of the situation and able to explain what was going on. The lobby is very clean and does not have a mechanic shop or oil or grease smell. My experience with Autocenter CDA has not been good, it's been excellent! I have never had bad service, never had to take a vehicle back for an uncured problem, They don't return your vehicle without your problem repaired. They never overcharge, in fact they always give a little more and charge a little less. I have never been treated any way but good by anyone that works here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. There's no such thing as a coincidence…read more HORN: My horn had been working intermittently about two years ago. About 18 months ago it stopped working completely. I brought it in for a diagnosis July 18, 2023. The diagnosis was a $1350 repair, which was out of my budget so I said not today. I picked up my rig and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, the horn began to blare when I turned the steering wheel all the way... after 18 months of not working now it works when it shouldn't. Seems to me this is a good way to FORCE a repair. Instead, I stopped at the Toyota dealership to ask them to pull the fuse; which it turns out, wouldn't resolve the problem. Toyota said they could make the repair that day for $1100. THE DEALERSHIP WAS LESS EXPENSIVE than a local shop & b/c of the circumstance they were generous to make the repair for the cost of the part with no charge for labor. I was out the door for under $1,000. BILL: I revisited the bill from Silverlake automotive for the horn diagnostic, they charged me for 'environmental disposal' & parts.... when they did not repair. OIL CHANGE up charge: I brought a coupon in from their flyer I received in the mail for a $60 synthetic oil change that included 5 quarts oil. When I got there, they said this is not the price they honor anymore. That was an old ad. Instead, I was charged $80 for the 5qt oil change. EXAM: They text a summary of your vehicle walk-through when they do an oil change. They sent me a list of things that were in good shape. A list of things that needed to be on my radar to fix and a list of things that needed fixed right away. On the list of things they said I needed to schedule for maintenance were: differential fluid flush; Transfer case fluid flush; power steering fluid flush; coolant system flush etc.... First, silverlake automotive had serviced my differentials, and transfer case is supposedly a few months before. I think it's suspect that they were recommending I do it again. Second, when I went to the Toyota dealership, they don't recommend flushing power steering fluid ever. They said it will only be an issue if it leaks out and then you need a new hose or part. Third, Silver Lake wanted $350 for new coolant system hoses and then the flush service at 200 some thing. Toyota said that they don't recommend changing the hoses ever until they fail and they only charge $120 for a coolant flush. So once again, the dealership is cheaper than the shop. SUMMARY All of these things add up to what seem like a scam to screw people over that don't know what Service needs to be done or not. Most people will just schedule what's recommended & not look at the bill or ask questions. WHAT THE MANAGER (RYAN) SAID: I gave myself two weeks to gather all the information and my thoughts before I went and talk to Ryan the service manager. He said: - They charge an environmental disposal fee & shop supplies fee for everything they do, even a diagnostic EVEN WHEN there's no disposal of anything or buy supplies being used. - the oil change flier should have said for a limited time, even though they have no expiration date or those words printed with the price. - it IS A COINCIDENCE that the horn would not stop blaring every time the wheel turned, as soon the vehicle left the shop. - they recommend hoses be replaced as preventative maintenance even though Toyota doesn't. -they recommend power steering systems be flushed to prevent a failure, even thought Toyota doesn't. - The mechanic recommends service / maintenance based on their visual exam of the vehicle condition or fluid checks. They don't check the computer to see what work you've already had done first before they text and recommended transfer case & differential to be serviced... again.... even though they had done it eight months prior.
