I needed a root canal in short order, my dentist referred me here. I explained over the phone that I already had x-rays and did not need more taken. They of course insisted that they need their own x-rays, most dentists want to bill your insurance as much as possible. They also insisted on a 3D image of the tooth, which is not required. The first time I told them I didn't want one was over the phone, the second time was in the office when I was I working with the dental assistant. The third time I told them I didn't want a 3D image was with the doctor. She asked if it was because of radiation and I said "No, I don't want to pay for it" I do not like being forced to pay for things that are not required. Dentists are greedy, they want to bill you and your insurance for as much as they can. The doctor told me that she wanted one anyway and that I wouldn't have to pay. After they took the image, guess what? They still charged me. It is okay to say to imaging and procedures that are not required. It is absolutely unfair to be strong armed in a service that I did not want. Outside of that - I was given no pain medications and was not prepared for the pain after the root canal. It has been over two weeks and I am still in pain. I can't open my mouth all the way either. Side note: I contacted them about my concerns and never heard back from them. They have my money and don't care about me as a patient anymore. AVOID - just another money hungry, greedy dentist looking out for themselves. read more

I can honestly say that the experience equalled the reviews. The staff were professional, personable and polite. The office was welcoming and clean. I saw Dr Whiting. He was absolutely great. He listened and reviewed options with me in detail. One of my largest criteria is pain management. I called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in to a cancellation that day! It was best so I didn't overthink it anyway. The office was lovely and relaxing and all the staff was wonderful. They went over cost ahead of time and again before the procedure so there were no surprises. Apparently I require the same amount of numbing medication as a rhinoceros but Dr Chan was amazing. After I was finally numbed up he checked on me regularly and continued administering more anesthetic every few minutes just to make sure he was always ahead of me potentially feeling anything and it was painless. In the past I've had doctors forget about things like that once they begin the procedure but not Dr Chan; I never had to remind him which to me shows me how much empathy he truly has for his patients, especially the last one of the day. As nervous as I was it's no different than any other dental procedure once you are numb. That night I rinsed with salt water, took some ibuprofen and felt surprisingly great. I was a bit nervous because of all the shots, sometimes I feel soreness after that, but I have honestly had far more painful cleanings in the past. Even the next morning, I slept with my Invisalign on to protect it since I tend to grind and it was perfect. My temporary filling fit in the retainer just fine, no sharp edges or anything either which was nice because I had been living with a big chip for a while. Never thought I'd write such a glowing review about a freaking root canal but here we are ‍I know reading these beforehand really put my mind at east so I hope to do the same. read more

I was having a lot of tooth pain and my Dentist referred me to Dr. Kip Sterling of Asrari Endodontics for a root canal procedure. I was able to get an appointment for the next day, which was convenient. I was terrified because I had heard horror stories about root canals and I have very sensitive teeth. Dr. Sterling and his staff were awesome! He explained the entire process and also advised me of everything he was doing, beforehand. I didn't feel a thing and the experience was quite pleasant. I requested nitrus oxide, which Dr. Sterling administered. He is expert with numbing injections and gave me headphones so I could I listen to my favorite music. Dr. Sterling also gave me a neck pillow and I was very comfortable throughout the procedure. Dr. Sterling is very skilled, experienced, and very gentle. I highly recommend Dr. Sterling of Asrari Endodontics for all your endodontics procedures. You will be glad you chose Dr. Sterling. I've had a few root canals in the past from other dentists and it was not a good experience so I was really nervous going in. Dr. Ford is amazing. She is very communicative, informative and super down to earth. It was the most painless root canal I've received and she frequently checks in to see if anything is hurting or if more numbing is needed. My dentist just referred me to this place so I went in person to make an appointment. I stood at the front desk and asked who do I speak to about making an appointment. It's not what was said but how it was said that made me walk out. This older dark haired lady said "I have three calls waiting!! We are short staffed!! Sit down and we will call you when we can!! She had the demeanor of a snap pea. I thought well this isn't a good beginning and I don't deserve this sharp attitude so without another word I just left. I was very impressed with Dr. Asrari! I had a toothache and they worked me in the same day! The staff was very pleasant to deal with and really made me feel that they cared about my well being. I didn't even have to wait that long. Good thing I got there as I needed a root canal on one of my porcelain veneers. Dr. Asrari was very good about explaining the procedures and being very careful about working on my veneer. Pam was very helpful as well and made sure I got all of the information I needed before I left. I actually had a wonderful experience at this office. It's beautiful and has lot of cool Persian artifacts that I was so intrigued by!!.. Dr. Whiting was so caring and Dora calmed me down because I was about to cry. Dora really took my mind off the procedure that was about to happen and Dr. Whiting is such a gentle and caring man I am so grateful he was my endodontists... He was so kind, it's rare to find considerate doctors that radiate warming energy! I had an infection and needed a root canal, so my dentist sent me right away. I was not able to do information on the office and I was so SCARED! It turned out great! I am however deducting one star I would two, but Dr. Whiting and Dora were AMAZING, so just one. I am upset that the lady at the front desk did not go over the 1269 bucks she charged me also only two installments and not three!!! She waited until I was loopy to have them make me sign the bill! She should have address payment before I was given any medication; since she had to verify my discount plan anyway, as I set there! i went to this dental clinic today. they charged me $520 for a tooth they knew they couldn't save and they sent me to another dentist for still more treatment. i was in the office for less than 20 minutes. what is that math $520.00 divided by 20 minutes and no treatment!!! i was surrounded by staff members drilling me about payment! i felt like i was in a timeshare sales pitch. it was that bad!!!! that insane greed. the assistant spoke to the dentist in another language and they laughed about my tooth. this is the most horrific dental experience of my life! the dentist was incredibly rude and the staff was obsessed with collected ridiculous sums of money from me..my welfare definitely was not a concern. Do not go to this clinic unless you like throwing money away! I was originally scheduled with Dr. Asrari but I didn't want to deal with my discomfort any longer than necessary so I called and asked for the next available appointment and they fit me in the very next day with Dr. Sterling. I have never had a root canal before and had no idea what it would be like. I have to admit I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. Nikki sat me down, and right away asked what Pandora station I wanted to listen to! Threw me off a little, but in a good way. Extremely friendly staff. Dr. Sterling came in and explained the procedure and answered the 5,000 questions I had. (I seriously feel bad for anyone who has me as a patient). The only uncomfortable feeling the entire time was the numbing shots, and even those were almost painless (thanks to numbing gel beforehand). They leaned me back, I put on the headphones, they put a rubber biter in my mouth to relax my jaw on while it was open, and 40 minutes flew by! My fear beforehand was completely unfounded. It was an absolutely painless procedure. I really want to thanks Dr. Sterling, Nikki and the rest of the staff for making my first (and hopefully last) root canal a non-event! read more

This was the WORST dental experience I've ever had. The appointment I had was with Dr. Chan. This "Board Eligible" endodontist, Dr. Chan, was very condescending, rude, unprofessional, and uncompassionate. He put me through an excruciating pain when he did his test without giving me any warnings in advance, which made me almost fell out of my chair due to the SEVERE PAIN. And he didn't even ask if I was OK after the pain. This is not what a TRUE compassionate "Top Phoenix Magazine" medical provider should be, unless they are in it for the $$$$$. As a person who also practices in medical field for a long time, I know how to treat my patients with love, care, compassion, and especially, with RESPECT!!!! To be honest, your patients are the ones who pay for your salaries. So please treat them with RESPECT! If not, you will NOT going to get their business. I HAD A BAD TASTE in my mouth of this medical office, despite all these good reviews they had (hopefully, those reviews were not fake or made up to get customers/patients). I will NOT ever, in my good conscience, recommend this office to any patient in search for a good, professional, and compassionate endodontist for their endodontic needs!
