If I could give zero stars I would. Asset Towing is one of the most unprofessional and shady companies I've ever dealt with. First off, they randomly patrol apartment complexes and snatch cars, especially around holidays you will pay (240). I called them over 20 times with no answer when they finally responded (around 7), it was through rude text messages instead of actually picking up the phone like a legitimate business. The decal sticker they provided to our complex is so cheap it crumbles up and falls off, which is exactly what happened to mine. Even though I showed proof of residency and my lease agreement, they gave me no grace and still held my car hostage until I paid. When I asked for their contract with my complex, they refused to provide it until I got the police involved. That says everything you need to know about how shady this company operates. Their so-called "lot" is in the middle of the boondocks on a dark, janky road with no lights, definitely unsafe if you have to go at night( DON'T!!!)And don't believe their claim about being 24 hours; that's a straight up lie. This place feels less like a legitimate business and more like a spotter towing scam. Unprofessional, rude, and dishonest . I would strongly caution both residents and property owners against doing business with them. read more

My vehicle was towed in the same manner described by others. It was parked in an unmarked, unreserved space at a townhouse complex and towed away by this company. I sent more than 20 phone calls and 10 texts without a response. The calls began within an hour after the towing. Another colleague's vehicle was hitched afterwards and he had to pay $240 cash to have the driver drop the vehicle. read more

They missed 6 of my calls then had the nerve to tell me i didn't call before coming to the location. This company is so unprofessional and they give off "white privileged" and "I know black people so I can't be racist". Which y'all will notice majority of these good reviews come from other white people. Particularly picking with black residents during a pandemic. The operator will purposely send you to voicemail if they don't want to answer. The address says 211 E Mercury. But, it's actually 60 Nettles Ln, in the cut. And I had to find a way to get in touch with the tow truck driver personally through his personal cell phone in order to get my car. And when I got my car, they had a police officer there "just incase off duty" yeah right... They're racist. They called the police on black residents and lied saying they were armed. My own experience: My car was hit in the middle of the night by a drunk driver while parked in front of our house. Police had it towed for free - to Asset. When I called about it, the EXTREMELY rude woman told me my car wasn't there - that's all the information she said she had - "we don't have it". So I'm wondering who the heck has my car...My wife was also trying, and making calls, and ended up calling ASSET and speaking to a man, who was also very rude, only saying "Lady you need to call your insurance company", and saying someone had come and towed it somewhere else. (Still wondering how that happened, since it's my car, and I had the release slip. So I called back, and eventually managed to wrangle the word "coparts" from the rude woman - who then HUNG UP ON ME (and refused to answer her when I tried to call back). So I Googled "coparts" which turned out to be another tow company, and found my car. The lady I spoke with at Coparts was nice, and very helpful. Tyler was awesome... he helped me in a super stressful situation and even gave my 15 month old son some cookies to calm him down while we waited. He ended up putting my spare tire on for me too after the place I was towed to inconveniently closed early.. definitely recommend.. he's a super personable guy and although I hope I'm never in need of their services again...if I am, I know who to call! read more

My insurance company set up service with Asset Auto Recovery to have my Tahoe towed to a shop. The call was put in at 940a with an ETA of 90 minutes. After the 90 minutes, I got a text asking if i still needed service & I replied "yes". The insurance company called to check up & I told them that they hadn't shown up yet. I was given as excuse that they had gotten hung up on another call & they would be here in about an hour. That made the new time around 130p. Again, the insurance company called to check up & I told them they still hadn't shown up. The rep checked & told me that Asset had tried calling me & since they didn't get an answer, they (the tow co) cancelled the call. They NEVER called me. My phone STAYS on me at all times. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. They towed my car during coronavirus because my fiancé was unable to resign his lease at the apartment company because the office has been closed for weeks and all administrative work is on pause. We drove 20 minutes to the lot after a bunch of dodged phone calls about what happened and where the car was to find out they needed $120 in cash specifically. When we arrived on the lot and called, they informed us that EVERYONE in the office and lot is out "on a run worth their group." When we asked when they would be back, he said that he could not tell us. The lot was in the middle of a long deserted dark road with a haphazardly assembled wooden gate. Scheduled a tow through my auto club. I originally called tow company to give specific instructions to where I was located. The dispatcher said that the driver would contact me 10 minutes from my location. When I checked the status of location in the allocated time given, it said that driver was with my car. Not true because I was sitting in car that need towing. I called back to tow company, no answer. I called again and it went straight to voicemail. Immediately afterwards I received a text message saying the driver is dropping off vehicle and will be with me in 20 mins. I then called to auto club to have it canceled and sent another. The driver finally calls and says I'll be there in another 35 to 45 minutes. I said I've already been waiting for close to 2 hours now she said sorry real busy today. I understand tow companies get busy, but don't agree to the time frame if you can't fulfill the obligation. I could have started working on another tow an hour ago.
