There was not a health care surrogate document and yes, my house did need to be in a trust. My friend who is older and confused is a beneficiary of an estate. The trust was drawn up by Beth. Beth has been trying to settle this estate for over 9 months and has been paid over $150k in billable hours. Very long story short, Beth has resigned. In 9 months she has accomplished literally NOTHING. Friend was told at one point Beth's assistant left the firm and that Beth basically had to start from scratch. Please avoid.
