I have nothing but good things to say about Auto Appraisal Network (AAN) and appraiser Dave…read moreWilliams! I had the misfortune of getting into a car accident that wasn't my fault. My vehicle was brand new and I had to fight the insurance company at every step of the way. And, after my car was fixed the insurance company thought that everything was resolved. I knew better. I knew my car was worth less after being in an accident, and that the dealership would give me less for it when I tried to sell it (because a Carfax report would reveal it had previous damage). So, I ran a report on Kelley Blue Book between a vehicle in excellent verses good condition. I submitted this information to the insurance company and they said I needed a formal appraisal, but wouldn't guarantee any compensation for the report. I took a gamble and contacted Auto Appraisal Network. Not only did they tell me all about Diminished Value, but also Loss of Use. They came to me and inspected my vehicle, and put together a very professional report. It documented the diminished value and loss of use (while my vehicle was being repaired). Their amount was more than what Kelley Blue Book documented. I also got sample cover letters for formally submitting the report to my insurance company. I requested over $3,000.00 and the insurance company countered at only $600. So, I took the driver and the insurance company to small claims court. Using the language and legal precedent information that AAN gave me, I briefly explained my case to the judge and submitted the report. The judge ruled in my favor and I got everything that AAN said I was owed!!! The insurance companies know all about Diminished Value, they invented the concept. They're just hoping that the public doesn't learn more. And, they're counting on consumers being lazy and not pursuing it. They're betting that most people will just accept no, or a less than desirable settlement, because they don't want to take the time to fight the system or go to court. On principal, I chose to fight for what was rightly mine. AAN's report and the supplementary information gave me the tools for proving my case. I highly recommend Auto Appraisal Network.

I hired Curt Kopetsky and Auto Appraisal Network to represent me as an independent appraiser in an…read moreinsurance total loss dispute. It was an absolute disaster that actively harmed my financial position. I provided Curt with a meticulously detailed pre-appraisal brief, including verified historical market data from my specific Date of Loss in 2021, and invoices for over $6,600 in premium aftermarket upgrades. Curt completely ignored my evidence. He produced a lazy, boilerplate report that severely undervalued my vehicle. To make matters infinitely worse, after reviewing his draft, I explicitly instructed Curt in writing NOT to submit or finalize the report. He ignored my direct directive. He took his flawed report and signed a binding settlement agreement with the insurance company's appraiser WITHOUT my review, consent, or authorization. His research and negotiation skills were so astonishingly incompetent that his final appraisal on my behalf came in over $8,000 lower than the insurance company's own internal appraisal. He literally negotiated against me and handed the insurance company a massive financial advantage. When I discovered this and immediately demanded that he formally retract his unauthorized signature, Curt vanished. I escalated the issue to the corporate office, contacting Dave Williams via multiple emails and direct phone calls, seeking intervention and a refund. The corporate office completely ghosted me. They refused to return a single call or email, abandoning me with a flawed, unauthorized legal document on my insurance record.

A True Professional You Can Trust…read more I want to take a moment to recognize Mike Gibson for the outstanding work he does as a real estate appraiser. I've dealt with many professionals over the years, but Mike genuinely stands out from the rest. Mike has been doing this for many, many years, and you can tell immediately that he truly knows his profession. He is a master at what he does. His knowledge, experience, professionalism, and honesty are second to none. I was in the process of selling a property, and when I started looking for an appraiser, I was shocked by how high some of the prices were. Mike could have easily taken advantage of the situation, but instead, he listened to me, understood my circumstances, and worked with me to come up with a fee that was fair and actually feasible for me. That meant a lot. What I appreciated most was that Mike never made me feel like I was just another customer. He treated me with respect, took the time to explain things, and made me feel that I could count on him. His professionalism is matched by his character, and that is something you don't always find these days. If you need a real estate appraiser anywhere in Orange County or throughout Southern California, I would recommend Mike Gibson without hesitation. His experience speaks for itself, but more importantly, he is a person you can trust. Mike, thank you for your professionalism, your fairness, and for treating me with respect. You have earned my highest recommendation and five stars without question!

Based on Michael's experience and reviews, he was the one I decided to go with. It was the right decision! Michael was prompt and responsive with all communications. You can tell he's been doing this a long time as he had done his homework and knew what he needed during the visit. The final reports were so professional, complete, and well-written. I was impressed he noticed all the things he did during the visit and complied it so thoroughly and comprehensively. I highly recommend Michael for your appraisal needs.
