Curt cancelled my appointment 2 hours before our appointment. my vehicle was salvage title and 500,000 miles. His reasoning for cancelling was he did not want to take my money knowing he can't beat the at fault insurances 2,000 dollar offer because my vehicle is a salvage title and 500,000 miles. I told him I found receipts of a replaced rac and pinion, master cylinder, engine, and leather seats and he said he would not take that into consideration in my appraisal report and still cannot do more than $2,000 car value on my vehicle report . Again, his reasoning is that it's salvage and 500,000 miles. I told him there's more that makes up the value of a vehicle than just salvage title and mileage , and he said maybe I can show a judge my receipts and see what they think. What??????????? He wants me to present my 9,000 dollars worth of receipts to a judge who is not an appraiser and have a judge decide what he or she thinks is the value of my car and if they can give me a higher value than 2,000. He's supposedly this top notch appraiser who GIVES TESTIMONY IN COURT UNDER OATH and he doesn't think a replaced engine with lower miles, leather seats , upgraded rac and pinion upgraded master cylinder, upgraded springs , new alternator, new battery, new starter new brakes will make a cars value go up?????????? He's a moron I'm glad he never did my report . He also was telling me he found a comparable of my vehicle , in which the ad said "mechanics special" with a salvage title. He's a fucking moron, he wants to compare my highly maintained vehicle with every single part replaced on it with a car that's not running and has a bunch of maintenance issues . He's an appraiser and only looks at comparables with title type and mileage , and won't take your receipts into consideration on upgrades and maintenance read more

I have been looking at used trucks for several months and have sent links to vehicles over to Dave at the corporate office when I have questions. He answers me almost immediately every time. Today he saved me the time of going to look at a truck that showed no accidents reported/salvage title. He found right away that the salvage title was the result of a collision in march and gave me a helpful hint that for a newer model vehicle (in this case 2024) to be considered totaled by the insurance company, it is a result of significant damage. I needed a diminished value appraisal after being rear-ended and had a pleasant, albeit not overwhelming experience, with Auto Appraisal network. They are cheaper than other Appraisal Services in the market and their appraisers will come to you if needed, which is very convenient. That being said, their report was very standardized and perfunctory and I did not feel that it added an awful lot to my claim. read more

I watched a YouTube video of a CAV GT40 just like mine being appraised by AAN and got the name off the appraiser shirt, I set up an appointment and had my car done. My appraisal came back $42,000 lower than her car, I know my car is a LOT better car than hers, my car has Fuel Injection, Rollbar, Fire Suppression System, Front & Rear Camera, Air Conditioning ( her condenser was missing along with other parts of her car) ,Dart Block & Heads, Accusump and a oil cooler with thermostat, ALL of which her car doesn't have. I'm being told her car is a 427, my car has a small block Ford engine JUST LIKE HERS, you can see in the video that her car is its a small block FORD engine, apparently the appraiser doesn't know a big block from a small block. You can bore & stroke a small block 351 Windsor to 427 ci but that doesn't make it a 427 car, a true 427 car has a 427FE engine. I even sent a email to CAV asking if you can some how put a 427FE in a first gen car and the answer is NO WAY SMALL BLOCKS ONLY. I explained all this to AAN and got NO REPLY on my first attempt, I did get a reply from David Williams weeks later with more BS about her 427 car, this is how the company is run , they can't admit they messed up or do anything about the $42,000 difference so they just Ignore you thinking ill just go away. The moral of the story is if you want a good appraisal tell them it's a 427. read more

I was in need of an appraisal for my self-built campervan in order to get coverage for a trip to Mexico and found Auto Apprasial Network online. I was very clear about the purpose of the appraisal being intended to validate the total all-in costs to replace the build should there be theft or collision loss as insurance would only cover the base vehicle (not the build) without this. The appraiser claimed that this would not be an issue and that all items would be covered. I sent him all of my paperwork and receipts in advance and drove to him to have him take photos. A couple of weeks went by and I still hadn't received the appraisal and finally got it today. They charged me $400 for the packet he sent that valued only the vehicle and none of the modifications as was agreed. Basically, $400 for a glorified Kelly Blue Book value for the car. Additionally, even the comps included for the base vehicle were inaccurate - different engines, higher miles, etc. When I contacted them and said the appraisal was not what we agreed on he said that because my build out was not done by a commercial modifier (a fact he knew from the start) it could not be covered. I feel he was dishonest about what would be covered strictly to get my business. They agreed to reverse the charge after I expressed my frustration with this, but it was a lot of wasted time and a missed opportunity to get this done by a different company who could have delivered what I needed. I have nothing but good things to say about Auto Appraisal Network (AAN) and appraiser Dave Williams! I had the misfortune of getting into a car accident that wasn't my fault. My vehicle was brand new and I had to fight the insurance company at every step of the way. And, after my car was fixed the insurance company thought that everything was resolved. I knew better. I knew my car was worth less after being in an accident, and that the dealership would give me less for it when I tried to sell it (because a Carfax report would reveal it had previous damage). So, I ran a report on Kelley Blue Book between a vehicle in excellent verses good condition. I submitted this information to the insurance company and they said I needed a formal appraisal, but wouldn't guarantee any compensation for the report. I took a gamble and contacted Auto Appraisal Network. Not only did they tell me all about Diminished Value, but also Loss of Use. They came to me and inspected my vehicle, and put together a very professional report. It documented the diminished value and loss of use (while my vehicle was being repaired). Their amount was more than what Kelley Blue Book documented. I also got sample cover letters for formally submitting the report to my insurance company. I requested over $3,000.00 and the insurance company countered at only $600. So, I took the driver and the insurance company to small claims court. Using the language and legal precedent information that AAN gave me, I briefly explained my case to the judge and submitted the report. The judge ruled in my favor and I got everything that AAN said I was owed!!! The insurance companies know all about Diminished Value, they invented the concept. They're just hoping that the public doesn't learn more. And, they're counting on consumers being lazy and not pursuing it. They're betting that most people will just accept no, or a less than desirable settlement, because they don't want to take the time to fight the system or go to court. On principal, I chose to fight for what was rightly mine. AAN's report and the supplementary information gave me the tools for proving my case. I highly recommend Auto Appraisal Network. read more

I was rear-ended a month ago and needed to file a diminished value claim with the at-fault party's insurance agency. I contacted Dave at Auto Appraisal Network, and he scheduled a time to meet me at my work during my lunch hour. He took plenty of photos and within a business day, compiled a comprehensive report with recommendations on how to file with the at-fault party's insurance company. The report was extremely detailed and provides all of the necessary information in case my claim has to go to small claims court (hopefully not!) This would've been an otherwise very difficult task to accomplish on my own. Overall very professional service, and well worth the service fee. I feel compelled to report on the significant disconnect on the appraisal I received from Auto Appraisal Network and the condition the car was in when I received it. I paid for this service to help me decide on the purchase of an out of state vehicle. The appraisal came back as grading the car as "very good". I was informed this was as high a mark you could get unless you were talking about concourse type vehicles. Based on this, I felt very good about moving forward. Upon received the car I immediately notice what appears to be rust on the underside of the rear quarter panel. I park the car in my driveway and in less than an hour, I have a baseball sized pool of transmission fluid that has leaked out. I garage the car for the day and am greeted the next morning with the smell of gasoline soaked rags. I find that the high beams do not work, I push the button on the center console to open it up and I push the lock through the console, I need to use a screwdriver to open the glove box and I find bare wires that are held together with nothing more than a twist. I took my concerns regarding the accuracy of their appraisal to AAR only to be told that they have a picture of the high beams working. I have the same picture and the high beams require all 4 headlights to come on, clearly only 2 are on (Scary that a professional auto appraiser would not know this). They feel the rust, which was classified as over spray, would have required a lift to see even though the paint bubbles are clearly visible while standing beside the car and bending slightly. They stated that the console and glove box were operational because they "watched" the prior owner use them. My conversation with the AAR representative was simply one of defending their "very good" rating. He then decided the professional way to end this discussion with his customer was to simply hang up. I would rate them a zero or less than zero if this were possible. Hanging up was the final straw that made me feel that I needed to post this review on yelp. A professional auto appraiser should be able to identify rust, properly grade a vehicle and should be willing to listen to a customer who has concerns regarding the accuracy of their published appraisal. I DO NOT recommend that anyone should use this company for any auto appraisal needs. Do not be fooled by their slick web site and pretty report examples. In this role substance is much more important than style and AAR is severely lacking on substance side. read more
