After my ultra reliable 2012 Toyota Yaris was totalled in an accident, I was in the market for…read moreanother one and ended up finding a used 2016 Toyota Yaris SE that appeared to be in great condition but with high mileage. I placed an order on their website for a pre-purchase inspection and they were able to come out to meet the seller of the vehicle the next day. After the inspection, the inspector gave me a call with his findings and overall impression of the vehicle . The day after the inspection, a written report and a numerous inspection photos were available on the order page of their website. The written report specifically covered the following areas: Road Test, Engine & Mechanical, Suspension & Undercarriage, Tires & Brakes, Exterior & Body Condition. The level of detail in the report and the number of photos provided was satisfactory. Overall, it was a good overall experience and I'm happy with the service provided and with the vehicle I purchased. Why did I not give a full five stars? First, I believe a whining transmission noise they noted in their report was misdiagnosed. It seems to have been caused by the car's AC compressor that progressively whined louder before eventually failing during the fifth drive after purchase. Second, the report indicated that the transmission was leak free but I've found the slightest pooling of transmission fluid in my garage since the first day I purchased the car. Lastly, minor details seemed to be missed like missing roof weather strips/mouldings, a detached fog lamp, and sanding/repair work done on the rear bumper and rear fenders. If they had the means to diagnose the whining noise further and offered that as an add-on package, I probably would have availed and subsequently provided a higher rating.

He said he would, but he did not. His version of an under the car inspection was sticking his cell phone under the edges of the car and taking a photo. He certainly didn't crawl under and take a look. He made more of an effort to connect with the seller, than me, the buyer and person who hired him. He completed the inspection in 20 minutes and it certainly wasn't worth $200. It was anything but thorough. He said he was mostly inspecting cosmetics and basic function, which I said I could do. I asked him to share with me what he was inspecting as he went along, and he declined to do that. Honestly, he seemed to be in a hurry. Lastly, although I was told I would be getting all the photos the inspector took, absolutely none none of them are in the report. I do not recommend him and would never use him again!

I had a very good experience using Inspectiver. I booked an inspectiver pre-purchase inspection…read morebecause i was in need to buy a car as soon as possible. After i booked online, the inspector, Dabo contacted me right away to confirm the details, and he arrived at the dealership on time. Even though the vehicle wasn't there (in a warehouse), he waited for them to bring the vehicle to the dealership. Dabo inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and told me of all the various issues he found on the vehicle, and i'm really glad i did not buy it cause it would have been a headache and cost thousands of dollars to repair all the issues the dealership was hiding on the vehicle. I was satisfied with the report (along with pictures) that were provided promptly after the inspection was completed. Because i did not buy the vehicle, i wanted to have another inspection on another vehicle that very same day, and i'm very glad Dabo was able to accomodate my request. Dabo again inspected the vehicle, told me about the issues on the vehicle, and again he saved me a headache because i was able to make a deal with the dealership to fix those issues that he found on the vehicle before i purchased it. He also provided the inspection report promptly. All in all, my experience with inspectiver was very positive. Dabo was very friendly, professional, and his experience in talking about issues that he found on the vehicle was very helpful for my purchasing decisions. In addition, I feel like the price inspectiver charges for doing a pre-purchase inspection is quite reasonable. If i had to buy another vehicle, i would use inspectiver again.

I have nothing but good things to say about Auto Appraisal Network (AAN) and appraiser Dave…read moreWilliams! I had the misfortune of getting into a car accident that wasn't my fault. My vehicle was brand new and I had to fight the insurance company at every step of the way. And, after my car was fixed the insurance company thought that everything was resolved. I knew better. I knew my car was worth less after being in an accident, and that the dealership would give me less for it when I tried to sell it (because a Carfax report would reveal it had previous damage). So, I ran a report on Kelley Blue Book between a vehicle in excellent verses good condition. I submitted this information to the insurance company and they said I needed a formal appraisal, but wouldn't guarantee any compensation for the report. I took a gamble and contacted Auto Appraisal Network. Not only did they tell me all about Diminished Value, but also Loss of Use. They came to me and inspected my vehicle, and put together a very professional report. It documented the diminished value and loss of use (while my vehicle was being repaired). Their amount was more than what Kelley Blue Book documented. I also got sample cover letters for formally submitting the report to my insurance company. I requested over $3,000.00 and the insurance company countered at only $600. So, I took the driver and the insurance company to small claims court. Using the language and legal precedent information that AAN gave me, I briefly explained my case to the judge and submitted the report. The judge ruled in my favor and I got everything that AAN said I was owed!!! The insurance companies know all about Diminished Value, they invented the concept. They're just hoping that the public doesn't learn more. And, they're counting on consumers being lazy and not pursuing it. They're betting that most people will just accept no, or a less than desirable settlement, because they don't want to take the time to fight the system or go to court. On principal, I chose to fight for what was rightly mine. AAN's report and the supplementary information gave me the tools for proving my case. I highly recommend Auto Appraisal Network.

I hired Curt Kopetsky and Auto Appraisal Network to represent me as an independent appraiser in an…read moreinsurance total loss dispute. It was an absolute disaster that actively harmed my financial position. I provided Curt with a meticulously detailed pre-appraisal brief, including verified historical market data from my specific Date of Loss in 2021, and invoices for over $6,600 in premium aftermarket upgrades. Curt completely ignored my evidence. He produced a lazy, boilerplate report that severely undervalued my vehicle. To make matters infinitely worse, after reviewing his draft, I explicitly instructed Curt in writing NOT to submit or finalize the report. He ignored my direct directive. He took his flawed report and signed a binding settlement agreement with the insurance company's appraiser WITHOUT my review, consent, or authorization. His research and negotiation skills were so astonishingly incompetent that his final appraisal on my behalf came in over $8,000 lower than the insurance company's own internal appraisal. He literally negotiated against me and handed the insurance company a massive financial advantage. When I discovered this and immediately demanded that he formally retract his unauthorized signature, Curt vanished. I escalated the issue to the corporate office, contacting Dave Williams via multiple emails and direct phone calls, seeking intervention and a refund. The corporate office completely ghosted me. They refused to return a single call or email, abandoning me with a flawed, unauthorized legal document on my insurance record.

He was extremely thorough, friendly and didnt let the sleazy salesperson get away with anything. I felt some much more secure in my purchase after having Jeff take a look at it. Bottom line, Jeff and PAL were fantastic and I'd highly recommend them to ANYONE looking to purchase or lease a vehicle. The dealerships just lie to you to get your money, if you want the truth before spending your hard earned money, spend the nominal amount for PAL's pre-purchase inspection. The amount you will save in potential repair costs down the road is worth thousands. Thanks again guys!

I contacted the company directly and they simply said that their mechanics are fully vetted and there were no indications the car was about to die. The alternator was bad and the dashboard had multiple lights and warnings indicating there is a problem. I fell for the scam that it is "because the battery was disconnected". I felt confident having the inspection done but the report and the company itself are a Lemon. Incompetent at best. Never send a mechanic on his own (like I did) to prevent potential side deals. There might be good mechanics there, but it is not worth the risk. The company itself and their customer service is crap.
