I had a saving account with this bank that I opened years ago when they had a good interest rate. I…read morestopped putting money into the account after the interest rate decreased considerably. A month ago I completed the paperwork to close the account and transfer the remaining funds, over $5000, to my credit union that I have an account with. The money was not transferred to my CU account after a week. I called the bank and was told that the paperwork was missed and was still on the recipients desk. I was told that it would be forwarded to the correct team ASAP. About a week and a half later, the bank called my wife and told her that they initiated the transfer. A month to the day I still have not received my money. I called and was told that the transfer was mistakenly put on hold. There was no explanation why. I asked if I could go to a local branch and get a cashiers check and was told that the local branch lobby hours are 9-3, so they would be closed by the time I get there. Again, I was told that the transfer will be started and that I will have the money in 3 days. These people are grossly incompetent at best and at worst .... well ready between the lines.
